Had a nice Afghan food here. Generous serves, resealable prices with friendly staff.
Definitely recommend to all and will be back.
Lamb scewer wraps are cheap, healthy and best food you can get
Meat cooked over real charcoal, sounds good to me. Thought I would give this place a try for dinner as I had a craving for a nice kebab, but this place is not your normal late night lamb and garlic sandwich van after a big night........I digress, nice clean neat restaurant with plenty of parking, Afghan decor and great service. Meal was very nice , not the pita rolled up in foil, but kebabs cooked over charcoal and served on a bed of spiced rice with salad and dipping sauces, yummy and certainly plenty of it. Not cheap, but worth the food quality. Will definately go again.
My husband and I absolutely love this place! A delicious meal for a great price- the people there are so lovely too. It’s not a super fancy restaurant but still nice to sit in.
Love it! One of our favourite places... we like the Charcoal BBQ Chicken meal, Biryani and Chicken Karahi
friendly staff that helped us choose the options. good food and the spiceist biryani in Adelaide which was different to the usual. not too expensive for what is at offered.
After being to almost every known afghan place in Adelaide this is one of my two favourites. The flavors are always on point and the sauces are the best around! I could eat here all the time and I somewhat do actually. Yum!

There are lots of Afghan kebab and chicken shops around now; I have tried most and this is a standout!!! The food is full of flavour, the meat is tender and cooked perfectly! Very reasonable prices and good amount of options! The kebab meals with rice are my fav, as are the afghani style dumplings!!!! I’ve always been greeted with a smile and received good service! Perfect place to have a casual meal with friends! Worth a visit!!
This restaurant serves quality and fair priced afghan food. You get what you pay for which is great flavour and consistency, however the customer service may not appeal to many. I have no issues with being left alone to enjoy my food and take no offence to Brief/short conversations. I ordered a mixed kebab, manto and a biryani and it was all amazing! Will always return to this restaurant, if I'm not feeling prospect road :)
Fantastic food for a great price! Nice big restaurant, but it does have a bit of a food hall vibe. For casual dining though, one of the tastiest, filling meals I've had in all of S.A.
Chicken curry is my favorite dish, delicious always ordered with rice. Not expensive and cooked right in front of you. Easy take away option
It is always great to discover a really good affordable new place to eat! I have probably driven past this place who knows how many times! And this time my hungry tum told me to stop, immediately!! Of course, I always listen to what my tum says, as it’s never wrong!
Afghan Charcoal Village is really quite large and even in the afternoon, it was very busy! This, to me, is always a good sign.
Service was average though and the meals came out reasonably quick, considering.
We had the Mantos (leek dumplings), which I love and they were yummy and generous. We also had the mixed kebab platter, chicken, lamb and shami, wonderful flavours and cooked to perfection. This dish came with the gorgeous rice, that only these Afghani restaurants seem to know how to cook to absolute pillow light perfection! The sauces served, also very good.
What we loved the most about this establishment, was the price! Uber awesome prices for all of the meals and a lot cheaper than our regular Afghani haunt!
So? Which one do we chose next time?
Would definitely return for a delicious, value for money lunch or dinner or afternoon or whenever, as their opening hours are long!!
Thanks Team!
The kicked your ass but very very good. great customer service and you can even bring your little ones for dinner here too. There is something for everyone's taste.
