Review Ambrosia - Randwick

Very dirty place with lots of cockroaches crawling everywhere, even on the front counter. Hand hygiene is disgusting: staff handle money - then using same gloves, serve you food. Flies get inside their display table and crawl on the salads. They store all the coffee cups and spoons right next to the counter where people cough and sneeze while ordering, and no protection or cover of any sort at all. So when you drink your tea - you eating someone's bacteria. Sometimes there is even hair in the rice. Such a disgusting place - you will dine there only if you are a filthy animal.

Great quality place. The having and egg roll has a special toasted touch. Very nice, try it with cheese and tomato as well ! The big breakfast tastes great and is great value !

A simple, delicious and complete place for you to have breakfast, lunch, salad, sandwich, burgers, cake and sweets.

Hamburger tasted like old grease ( hot plate probably not cleaned regularly) The meat inside hamburger cheap poor quality, mushy & not pleasant taste, the coffee bean used not very nice either. The staff although seem pleasant. The price is low compared to nearby cafes, however the quality of food or their supplier is low grade.

Better than it looks. Very generous breakfast plates - I'm a big 6'1" guy and leave feeling stuffed. The coffee is great, too. Cheaper than other places nearby. Don't waste your money on slick cafe marketing, just go to Ambrosia.

Very friendly service. Went there for a casual dinner. Grilled fish was good. Roast veggies very dried up unfortunately.

The burgers are the best in Sydney, and their gravy.......AMAZING

This place definitely has potential as their burger descriptions and ideas are out of the world - Only small hiccup is the way it is prepared and etc. If the preparation was looked into, its be spot on!

This is your typical “we serve everything” sandwich shop but it has some pleasant seating indoors out of the wind or on the street. I had one of their big $12 burgers. The beef patty seemed straight out of a packet but the addition of crumbed mozzarella, bacon and salad turned it into a decent burger. The price of this and of the smaller burgers may be a bit high given that they’re well below the quality of the trendy places. Coffee was ok and good value at $3.

Lets just say there is no way you could fault the $10 big brekkie at ambriosia. The plate is filled with greasy goodness that will cure your hangover for sure. Definitely not a fancy brekkie place but has al that one could really truly want.

This place isn't much to look at, more of a takeaway burger and fish and chip shop or to get takeaway salads, but the workers are amazingly nice and that would take me back there. They were so friendly and accomodating. I just wanted poached eggs and toast and a cup of tea, with two tea bags.<br/>It was good, service was quick and it was very cheap. There looked to be heaps of regulars there which makes sense :)

Quick take away breakfasts and bacon and egg rolls. Good location in The Spot in Randwick. Slightly overpriced for coffees. Pleasant and friendly staff.

Great little diner in the Eastern Suburbs. Good selection on the menu and great prices. I have been quite a few times for breakfast and I always leave happy. Offers a great alternative from the pricey cafes in Bondi and Coogee.

They charge a surcharge on card payments.

Good quality takeaway fair. Excellent, personalized service, make the effort to get to know their regulars. Highly recommend the portugese chicken burgers.
