Enjoyed a lovely weekday lunch at Josef Chromy before a flight back to Melb. The restaurant was bright and comfortable. Their menu isn’t very extensive however there is a nice variety. Staff were friendly and so passionate about the wine and food. All produce is locally sourced and fresh. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we look forward to coming back for a longer stay.

Ordered all the 4 main courses. All were cooked very well. The point noir was good - fresh and nutty. Nice view of garden-like farm. Waitress were professional and friendly. Wine was awesome. Would love to come back soon.

We spent the day in the Tamar Valley and didn’t get much further than the Josef Chromy Estate. What started as a wine tasting quickly became a long lunch. The setting was absolutely stunning and the staff were friendly, relaxed and accommodating. Food was top notch, with decent sized portions and quality ingredients that were fresh. Oysters were from Bruny Island and were spectacular. My only qualm is that the menu was filled with meat heavy dishes. Would be nice to a see one slightly lighter vegetarian dish on there (just for contrast and those not wanting meat). Aside from that, I can’t fault our experience and we would certainly recommend to others visiting the region.
