Review Loi Loi - Richmond

Wenn Lynn
Walked in on Good Friday and was surprised with this little gem. Heaping basket of keropok (cracker) upon entry, followed by delicious rice paper rolls with generous serves of duck in them, served with a delicious dip sauce specked with carrots and nuts - none of the skimpy stuff you get from Roll’d. Also ordered combination pho (again, healthy serves of chicken and beef) and steamed chicken with bok choy and a soy and ginger sauce. Amazing taste, with prices that don’t break the bank. My boyfriend and I loved it - photos don’t so it justice. Will definitely be back!

I was overjoyed to find this traditional Vietnamese restaurant still standing when I walked pass this section of Victoria Street after more than 10 years. And with the price that I remember: $13 for an authentic, generous serve of aromatic chicken pho! ♥️♥️♥️ It was 3pm but I just couldn't resist: the price is so good, I think this could be the only authentic Vietnamese pho that is under $15 in the entire Melbourne metro area. When I was waiting for my takeaway pho, I couldn't resist to order 8 prawn spring rolls for $12.50. While I waited, the owners, an elderly couple with gentle and polite manners, started to clean and tidy the restaurant even though there was no customer. I then realised that the floor and tables were old but very clean, and the Chinese paintings on the wall are hand painted, not cheap prints. When my takeaway was ready, the gentleman took out condiments, lettuce and bean sprouts from the fridge and patiently explained to me which ones go with the pho, which ones go with the spring rolls. I reheated the spring rolls in the airfryer and they were crispy and tasty. I reheated the clear pho soup base in a microwave oven. It has a strong cinnamon/aniseed fragrance and not too salty, which suits my taste. The lettuce leaves, bean sprouts and herbs were very fresh. They didn't cut corners! The serve was so generous, I had the takeaway for two meals. Great service, clean environment, tasty food and fantastic price. I truly recommend it for dine-in or takeaway. 👍👍👍

Food here is consistently good. I've been a customer for about 8 years now and have never had a negative experience. Food is fresh, tasty, prepared quickly. Yep, can highly recommend.

Great Value and tasty food. Was walking by and enticed by the crowd in this place compared to other silent stores on the same street. Food and service impeccable, I was pleasantly surprised by serving sizes!

Massive serving for $15! Also authentic viet coffee, best for winter 😋

The worst food I,ve ever eaten at a restaurant. Ordered curry puffs as an entre, came out deep fried.stuffed calamari was like rubber and could not eat. The mains were not much better. We eat out localy every week and never experienced food this bad.

Incredible Vietnamese food, generous portions and value for money! We regularly order here. Crispy beef mandarin sauce, duck in plum sauce, pork spring rolls w/ the lettuce and mint, special fried rice and our favourite sizzling beef spicy! Will always be our favourite value Vietnamese. BYO welcome here too which is a win.

Great Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in the Richmond area. They are further away on Victoria St from the more crowded popular strip of the street. The dry noodles are excellent although a little towards the sweet side. They are chewy and have heaps of toppings! One thing they did well is that the meat slices are soft and tasty unlike the other places where they serve dry bland slices of meat Food - 9 Service - 9 Vibe - 7 Price - $$

The food is generously served and faithfully good. The decor is old style suburban Chinese restaurant set within the thriving Asian food scene of Victoria Street.

Delicious food, good service. Knowing what to order is a real advantage. A tad bit over priced but still its very tasty. Fair byo.

3.5
We came here for dinner and for the pho, the fried noodles and my friend a tofu dish. The ambience was dark but nice and the pho broth had good flavour but it wasn’t balanced enough for my liking
Dumba
Great noodle soups. Fast and friendly service.

Loi Loi is a Chinese Vietnamese restaurant near Victoria Garden in Richmond. Not very out of box but overall good food. Especially the Fried Icecream... it is the best one I had. Staff is gentle and polite.

We ordered lots of side dishes as we are used to them being small everywhere...we assumed wrong.
They were decent sized and yummy!
Staff was also great 👍🏻

The sour shrimp vermicelli noodle soup is DELICIOUS. That was what I ordered the first time I visited and every single visit since. So can't comment on the rest of the menu but it looks amazing. Very reasonably priced, BYO and homely and inviting decor. Love it.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. Very delicious meals, cheap prices and byo! What more could you ask for!? Staff are always friendly even when it’s very busy. Would go more often if I could! 11/10 love this place.

This place does all different kinds of Asian food - the menu is extensive. I’ve tried a few different things here and some of dishes are a bit touch and go. The dim sums here are really good, they are quiet large and homemade, always get a serving of these! The pho and vermicelli noodle salad (bun bo xao) are also really nice. Tried the Malaysian beef curry last night and spicy salt and pepper prawns, they well both really tasty & I would order these again. I’ve tried a couple of the chicken dishes before (stir fry style) and they tasted like Chinese beaumaris food.
Service is wonderful, very quick and efficient and complimentary prawn crackers are a lovely touch. If you order the right dishes here you won’t be disappointed!

We liked the place, but not the food really.
Nice restaurant, very nice and polite staff, but the food we chose was average. We ordered Cambodian rice noddle soup, crispy skin chicken soup and pork dumplings. Average...

A friend recommended Loi Loi for dinner. We’ve a movie to catch at Victoria garden so Loi Loi was picked because it’s a just a block away! The restaurant was fairly busy on Sunday night but not full. We were seating on a table fit for 6 when there were only 3 of us! The waiter told us they have more tables inside. Loi Loi do take reservation so my friend booked a table at 730 pm. The restaurant use dim lights probably to create a more cosy dining experience. Once seated, they brought us a basket of prawn crackers. We ordered stuffed calamari as entree, mee goreng and clay pot mixed vegetable with vermicelli to share. For a group 3, total dinner bill came up to $50 which is reasonable. Tasty food and fast service so wouldn’t mind coming back again.

GREAT egg noodle pork and prawn soup! This is my favourite place specifically for this dish, they have the best broth. The service is quick and nice and they are cheap.

Become a regular here in the past couple of months and am enjoying working my way through the (very extensive!) menu. Yet to have anything that I haven't enjoyed but their varieties of wings and ribs are particular standouts. No corkage charge in 2018 is also certainly something to be commended.

One of those discovered by accident places & we were & still are very happy we were in the right place at the right time. Quick service, friendly, very clean restaurant & bathrooms which is a good sign but the highlight of the visit is the crispy chicken spare ribs with honey chilli sauce. Not usually something I would order, like to be a little adventurous but this caught my eye so I ordered it, thank god!!! It was a plate of hot, sticky, crispy heaven. My wife & I hardly touched the dish she ordered, we took it home, not that it wasn't nice but we had all our attention on that plate of heaven. We revisited this place 2 weeks later as we kept talking about how good it was. On the second visit they were just as delicious. We ordered a plate of the hot, sticky, crispy heaven & a Malaysian chicken curry which was pretty bloody good to, nice & spicy. We will definitely be returning for a 3rd visit, I dare say it will be our go to for awhile. Next time I will take a photo, I just hate being 'that' person taking photo's of my food but this needs photographic evidence, even just to look at during the day while at work & wanting a hot, sticky, crispy heaven fix.

15.10.2017 Pic added (with very sticky fingers)

The restaurant was located in the middle between IKEA and North Richmond station, not many people will notice about this restaurant.
It's a hidden gem in Victoria st for the Chinese / Vietnamese restaurant.
As soon as we came, the customer staff came and bring (free) Prawn Crackers and Peanuts.
The Prawn crackers were fresh, crispy and had great taste.
We couldn't stop eating the crackers.

The customer service was top class so far compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.
They were very attentive, friendly and speedy.

We ordered :

* Grilled Pork Ball & Spring Rolls with Rice Vermicelli for $13.00. **4.5/5.0
Taste of grilled pork ball was absolutely fantastic and well cooked. The pork ball was tender, juicy and well seasoned. The spring rolls were served hot, crispy and great taste. It's one of the best rice vermicelli in Victoria Street, also generous portion. This dish was really recommended!!

* Broken Rice with Grilled Spare Ribs & Fried Egg for $13.00. **4.5/5.0
The grilled spare ribs was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The taste of both grilled spare ribs and shredded pork were amazing.Cucumber, carrot salad and tomatoes served on the rice were very fresh. This dish is above the average of other broken rice.

* Char Kway Teow for $16.00. **4.5/5.0
The portion of Char Kway Teow was alright, it's slightly pricey but the taste was absolutely great. We didn't expect to have such a great taste out of this dish. It was an ok experience, the food was good, nothing exceptional, however, the place was full and it was incredibly noisy. Service was slow... very slow. Have been here several years ago and thought it was just ok then...personally I don't think its changed much.

Finished navigating around @Ikea_australia and starving but the meatballs just don't cut it? Very nearby is Loi Loi, an authentic Vietnamese restaurant serving flavoursome, generously-portioned and affordable food. Here we couldn't go past the delicious classics pictured here: Broken Rice and Pork Ball & Spring Roll Fine Vermicelli Bowl. Furniture shopping can be hard, but food doesn't have to be.

Have dined here a few times. The service is always quick and friendly and the food is delicious. The fact they can cater to gluten free is a huge plus as well. We'll continue being regulars...particularly with that gluten free salt and pepper squid, YUM!

Absolutely love the food at Loi Loi! Have been here a number of times now and it never disappoints! Most recently, for a friend's birthday there were 6 of us and we ordered a number of mains to share. All delicious! The staff are very hospitable as well, helping me organise a penis shaped banana fritter and deep fried ice cream balls (the shape and presentation was their suggestion!) which made the night even more memorable. Will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend to others!

Have been here a few times. Excellent restaurant, delicious food for anyone. Big variety. Won't be left disappointed. Friendly staff, fresh food.

Food was tasty, service was great. Good little family business vibe, and very good value. The Peking duck rolls were very good, and they do a good pho.

Nice old school Vietnamese restaurant which is clean and comfortable. Located at the quiet end of the Victoria Street strip. Food was very fresh and well presented. The chicken coleslaw was the best we have had. Rice paper rolls also good quality. Easy to recommend.
Kotix
Nice and dirt cheap Chinese/Viet restaurant. 8474892 items on the menu make it for good viewing. BYO too which is always good. Reasonable amount of MSG though means you'll be very thirsty.
J-in-Perth
Takeaway Chinese food for this hungry girl after the gym last night & my favourite dish is beef in tomato. This was an excellent example - cooked really well, reasonably priced & delivered hot in 30 minutes. Can't go wrong, really
DT
A place that serves tasty prawn crackers before ordering food makes the diners like me very happy. A usual place for a decent Chinese / Vietnamese food - very quick service , BYO without corkage charges and tasty variety of food . Generous proportions of food fill you up well . My mee goreng was great with fresh prawns in it. Loved the chicken omelette too. Satisfactory experience.
Will I go again? Yeah may be if I am passing by .

I have wanted to visit this place for a long time so this visit was well overdue.

My friend told me that Loi Loi rated 4.1/5 so I had high expectations. Surprisingly enough to this place was quite alright, a but if old school w a fusion of contemporary style of food.

We ordered a $30 banquet as you do hahaha which was far too much food butt gave us a really good sample of what kind of food that they serve.

And to be honest I was really impressed for a local restaurant. We had Spring rolls in lettuce leaves, prawn in an almost tempura batter, fried rice, sizzling beef, fried rice, a chicken Thai style soup which was really good, and then to finish off we had fried banana w ice cream! Hahaha

The banana was deep fried but there was an almost savoury batter and it was good, mmnn really good haha

There was only BYO and no corkage charges? Sorry, no corkage? That's a first for me... ever!!

The service was really good and the lady at the till was delightful and funny.

This place had a revolving door, it was constantly busy and now the secret is out!! I am so going back here again. Haha

This place is definitely worth a visit.

Points for quality food and reasonable prices, but who charges for take-away containers if you'd like to take leftovers with you? Loi Loi does.
Too many other choices in the area to bother going back.

Nice for a quick bite. Have all the usual suspects on the menu. Ordered the lemon chicken and special fried rice. The lemon chicken wasn't the usual fat laiden dish that you usually get. Instead, it was sesame seed crumbed and tasted like no other. Rice had enough vegies etc. All in all will be back and food servings were generous. Service for 2nd drinks was a bit lacklustre - have to call them over if you want anything else but other than that. was great!

We ordered sliced beef soup and pork spring rolls...... again another Aussie/Vietnamese family owned and operated so this food was made with some serious love..... Absolutely perfect...the best Vietnamese restaurant in Australia, and this is well over number 30 for me.Even though it's in Richmond it's not the hectic part of Victoria street, plus the restaurant is lovely and comfortable to eat at. The toilets and eating area are immaculate and very inviting. Our favourite place to eat....Ever.

We loved the San choy bow and the spring rolls were good to. The char kway teow was poor, won't get that again the noodles were like mush and the sauce took over the dish. The salt and pepper squid was good and fried rice also yummy. It's good for a fast cheap dinner but nothing to rush back for..
The Vietnamese coleslaw was also a highlight

I love Loi Loi. Always friendly staff. I usually stop there for a snack. Pork spring rolls 10/10. I like how it is always open too. Great take away options also.

Have only had takeaway but they were super fast, really yum, and served good sized portions. Really yummy fried rice with lots of stuff in it and not at all dry (my must haves for good fried rice)! Also very nice chicken cashew with a good sauce, same goes for the sizzling beef satay. Prawn cracker serve was ginormous. Only criticism was my partner said his Roti was not the best, quite tough/chewy. But they are predominantly Vietnamese not Thai/Malaysian so we will let this go and maybe just get Roti from next door Thai next time. Also this Vietnamese is particularly better than the one two doors up on the corner, especially takeaway portion sizes, but also flavour so if you are trying to choose between them then go with Loi Loi definitely!

The most amazing rice paper rolls! The food is a stand out also. But the rice paper rolls win it for me. I've dined here on a fare few occasions and have never been disappointed when visiting. Another great restaurant on Vic Street!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had peking duck and prawn rice paper rolls which were superb. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Perfect for families.

Fresh , tasty, decent sized servings, broad selection. Service was planned, prompt and with care. Excellent value. Parking on Victoria St not easy, but easy to find in near local streets.

Environment : Comfy
Food portion : Decent
Place is clean , decent portion of food , wide range of dishes to choose from too. Very friendly service as well.

Edit: they recently increased all the prices on the menus by putting stickers all over the old ones. And not a small increase, 3 to 5 bucks for each dish. Disappointing.
-----
I like loi loi, living around the block so I have been there quite a few times and also order takeaway every once in a while. The food is good and consistent and the servings are big. Huge list of choices from the menu. Probably not the best Asian food of the street but it's surely cheap and yummy, I'll be back again.
Jessica Jaensch
Best Vermicelli salad I have ever had!
Flavoursome, a lot of toppings, nice big serving!
Tried 'beetle leaves' for the first time and they were relish.
Love the complimentary prawn crackers at the start too:)
Will be back for sure!

Really nice and cheap food, delivery it's perfect and takes no time at all..
I eat Loi Loi regularly and apart from the few times the food been average, It's okay
ThePrestonProwler
Great spot. Cheap and tasty Vietnamese. Hard to beat this in Melbourne. Service is quick and good. Nothing fancy about this.. But that's not what you go here for
Stow Food
Steamed rice with vegetables, tofu, chili and lemongrass $10. Tom Yum $7. Tea $3.
$10 lunch special with soup turned into $20 after minimum eftpos and comms breakdown.
Food was slightly heavy in consistency but otherwise enjoyable. Table up the front was sunny and warm and the staff were happy. Too expensive for what it was, unusual to pay for tea and no sauces on offer.

Wrefoed &Jillian Blake. We went to Thy Thy / House for some 20 years.Since Kim and Ha have gone we have tried many places at the top end of Victoria St..over the past 18 or so months with out any satisfaction .At new year (Asian,)because of the crowds we travelled to the far end of the strip and discovered Loi Loi.We now return bi/tri weekly. The menu is consistently good-Mongolian duck,on sizzler!!!crispy beef!!! or battered honey prawns 'glistened' and the friends we have taken are suitably impressed. The owner Cam is a most pleasant man and the Sunday waiter is Hui an absolute star.
SherSher
Gristly chicken in both the rice paper rolls and chicken vermicelli soup.. Wasn't pleasant to eat at all. Chilli and lemongrass pork was okay- more soy sauce flavoured than anything. A little disappointed in our visit given the awesome reviews!

Great foot. Been to this place for the last 18 years and its still as good now as it was then. Hot, great size services and seriously delicious.

...we experienced a couple of thrills throughout but were ultimately left disappointed and a bit bored. From our experience it’s probably safe to assume that ‘Loi Loi’ roughly translates to ‘so, so.’
Chompandslurp
It has been 6 years since my last visit to this place and I’m glad that things have stayed the same and if not, has even gotten better.
Denny
Loi Loi doesn’t stray too far away from its Chinese-Vietnamese roots, but still has a few other South-East Asian dishes for added variety. Food is generally above average, and depending on the dish, can be fantastic. Really, if you’re in Richmond, wanting a good meal, Loi Loi is the place to go.
Xjuzjuzjuzx
While the decor isn’t fabulous and the service was a bit absentminded, the food was flavoursome, portioned well, and was full of value. And with a BYO option, it’s great for dinner, as well as lunch.

Amazing food delivered to my door!. First time delivery order and I was so impressed with the delicious dishes! The seafood rice noodle dish & the salt & pepper calamari were full of flavour and cooked to perfection - simply delicious and delivered hot to my door with a friendly smile. Thanks loi loi for an awesome dinner! Can't wait to have friends over and order some more great dishes.
Dani Cardamone
I have been going to this restaurant since I used to dance across the street at 7 years old. For the past 21 years I have NEVER had a bad meal, the food doesn't make me sick and I'm allergic to MSG. The service is just lovely and everyone friendly. The top end of Victoria street is full of overpriced westernized Asian food and to be honest I have been to a lot of them and didn't rate them. Lois Lois is no fuss, cheap, delicious Vietnamese food. Forget spending big $$$ for oily food come to Lois Lois it has the best pho and honey chicken in town. (Amongst other meals)
Djackmanson
Dim Sims. 2 big, fresh, tasty dim sims for $3.50. So much better than the usual.
Natalie Morgan
Have been here multiple times, it is such a great resturant which I defiantly would recommend to others! The food is delicious, well priced and often cooked quite quickly. The staff are always so polite and helpful as well ! (:
Claire Johnsen
Wow amazing food! Roti beef curry and crispy chicken where cooked to perfection. Heaps of flavour, spices and great prices. Can't wait to go back for more

Went with my parents for a cheap and cheerful bite. Didn't realise it was BYO but there was a bottle shop across the road. Thank goodness! Whilst aesthetically the restaurant is nothing fancy the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was tasty and the bill was ridiculously cheap for 4. Will definitely go back!
J
The Cambodian dry noodles with the soup on the side is super tasty! The spring rolls not as crisp and yumtastic as some of the others on Victoria St, but we got free prawn crackers on evening which was a nice touch!
Penny
Definitely not. After two attempts to make a booking, they still could not be bothered confirming. Lift your game.

Love this place. This is great for a quick bite to eat on Victoria Street. Consistently good.

OMG. The service was amazing, the food was really tasty the restaurant looked amazing with lovely waiters, I really enjoyed my food and will recommend the restaurant to others in the future

BEST!. We get Loi Lois once a week delivered to work! never a bad meal ever. very big meals and have the best flavours! we will continue to order from there for our lunches. I get honey chicken with rice and vegetarian spring rolls - and I feel like I am in heaven.. im not too big on Vietnamese food, so haven't tried that - but other people have told me its amazing!

Taste very nice and serving size is big too! Highly recommended!

-----07 May, 2013-----

FOOD IS GREAT! :). * FOOD IS GREAT.
* WARM FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.

Pathetic service. We asked for all meals to be brought out at the same time - 3 soups and some veggies. First 2 came out, next one 20 mins then the last one 5 mins after that. There were 8 peopke eating there. Never going back.
Nikki
Years of happy eating. We have been coming to Loi Loi for about 15 years, it is a family favourite. Reasonable prices, good food, fast and friendly service - we just enjoy the whole evening. Keep it up.
Talu
Have eaten here a few times and every time poorer quality food. The last three visits have been swiftly followed by gastro. A coincidence I think not.
CheeseAndCrackers
Tasty and well priced. Had a quick Saturday dinner before going to the football. Ordered the shredded pork rice paper rolls to share and the grilled chicken vermicelli for main. Rice paper rolls were fresh and tasty but could have had more salad filling in them. The grilled chicken vermicelli was huge and absolutely tasty! Had to take half of it home. It came with lots of salad (lettuce, cucumber, carrot) crushed peanuts and mint. Really fresh and wonderfully priced. Husband got the spicy honey beef which wasn't spicy at all, seemed more spiced to a western palate but the veggies were fresh and the meat melt in your mouth. The service was fast and efficient and $40 for shared entree, two mains and two drinks very fair. We will return.
Eatenrun
The Vietnamese coleslaw salad with prawn and pork, washed down with a refreshing lemon juice and sugar drink, was the perfect dinner to end a 38C day.
Amusedruby
Lemon Chicken. The chicken is coated in the batter and sesame seeds! YUM!

Disappointed. Very disappointed with loi loi, we ha a group booking for 15 and I took almost half an hour for our order t be taken and then another hour and a half before we got our food. No staff, very average food, terrible coconut rice , slow won't be back ever, ever !!!,
Jacqueline
Spring time. The biggest, tastiest and freshest spring rolls.
Brilliant prawn dishes.
Thomas
Best restaurant out in richmond :D all the dishes are great for low prices. Workers are really nice and friendly :) Ps hi Monica :)

Concerned. Great food but last time there was a STAPLE!!!!! in my takeaway. With all the other great restaurants, not sure if I'd risk buying there again.

Questionable Vegie Menu.... I decided upon Loi Loi due to the reviews on Urban Spoon and because they serve Vietnamese, Chinese and also cater for vegetarians, covering the group I was dining with.

Being a vegetarian myself, I was highly disappointed in the vegie rice paper rolls which were bland, tasteless and very small. My meat eating friends and I could not work out what some of the ingredients were inside (potato? rice?) and did not wish to finish off the plate.

Also attempted the rice noodle soup with vegetables, only to discover that there were distinctly small strips of beef in my soup!! The bowl was so full of noodles that they had clumped together and could not easily be removed for eating. Not good :(
Perhaps other vegie dishes are good there.... but I was no longer keen to try.

Poor and slow service all night with a table placed in front of an unnecessary air conditioner.
Disappointed and left feeling hungry.
I have never written a food review for a restaurant, but felt it was necessary after this experience.
I will not be returning.
APS
Yummy and lady is very nice! Love the dim sims and egg noodle soup
Ana Ludmila
Not to be missed. Fantastic food, excellent prices and friendly staff. Definitelly worth a visit, or to, or three......
Karlo
Reliable, tasty and good prices. Used to live around corner, still get takeaway and dine in, love it , sizzling dishes are great.
decor is somewhat basic but clean, BYO as well, thoroughly recomend it
Bruno The Dog
Worth a visit. We dropped in here this afternoon mainly because we found a parking space around the corner. It certainly passed the 30 second test- the one where you know within 30 seconds by the atmosphere, how the staff welcome you, etc how the food would be. We were not disappointed- rice paper rolls, Vietnamese coleslaw (a very good test dish because if a Vietnamese restaurant can't get this right, they are hopeless), char kway teow and a mango mocktail. The mocktail was so-so but everything else was superb and the service was excellent. Well woth the trip.
Macphaid
Most amazing sizzling dishes. Love their sizzling pork in spicy sauce highly reccomeneded! The dumplings and curry puffs are amazing for starters. Friendly atmosphere, always busy...staff can be slow but it is worth the wait and it is a BYO! :)

Best cheap and cheerful on Victoria St. Did lunch onece a week for $10 - complimentary chicken and sweet corn soup and great dishes. They have the biggest and freshest spring rolls on victoris St!
Michael
I have been coming here for years. This place is fantastic! The food is cheap but it's fresh and scrumptious! I have bener been disappointed by this place. Highly recommended.
Adventure
Springrolls keep me coming back. I love this place and i have been coming here for years. i have watched the asian customers disapear and the westerners move in. with that the menu has become more western asian rather than traditional. this also meant that it went from a really cheap eat to a relatively cheap eat.

the spring rolls are amazing and definatly worth getting. i would reccommend you get the mized plate. i also love their salt and pepper calamari and crispy friend combination noodles as well as the Poh.

worth trying out because its easier to get a car park that end of victoria st than the other!
Le Petite Gateaux
Yummm. Ordered takeaway the other night. Timid a bit because we havent had a good chinese takeaway for a while. We ordered

Vegetable Tempura
Honey Prawns
Szechuan Beef
Fried Rice

All were absolutely incredible except Veggie Tempura. Overcooked and greasy.

The Honey prawns were gorgeous. Loved it - and cant wait to order there again.
Missy
Cheap, yum, quick. This place is cheap, simple and quick.

Prawn crackers on arrival.... nice touch!!

Spring rolls are great, fresh

Service is a little hit and miss

Had the vegetable satay with tofu which had assorted fresh veggies and plenty of tofu.

Will be back as this is not in the usual busy section of Victoria street and its easy to find a park!

Beef with Lemongrass and Chilli on Rice Vermicelli. The beef was cooked perfectly and was enchantingly tender. The peanuts were a magnificent garnish that added a salty, crunchy texture. While the lemongrass flavour was overpowered by the other ingredients during the meal, it shone through as the aftertaste on leaving the restaurant. It was a perfect lunch as I didn't fall into a food coma when I got back to work because it was so light but also so satisfying. I won't hesitate to come here again and try something else.
TheZenChick
Fresh, Fast, Tasty. I come here all the time for take away. I usually order items from the 'rice vermicelli' section, as I just adore the grilled chicken or chilli and lime prawns with rice vermicelli. Their ingredients are always fresh and the flavouring is always spot on, I still have to make my way through the menu, but what I've sampled so far has always been delicious!
Lisa
Some standout dishes. And some duds. Food is usually good, menu is enormous, its cheap, BYO and opposite a bottle shop. Could life be easier? Closed Tuesdays.
Alexandra Peters
Service was quick and polite but sadly this was possibly the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had on Victoria St. The home made dim sims were atrocious (much worse than frozen ones from Coles), flaming satay chicken gluggy and flavourless and the special Vietnamese fillet beef was drowned in a thick overwhelming sauce. Absolutely no reason to go back with so many other great places nearby.
