Review A Thousand Blessings - Richmond

Olivia XIAO
Such a cozy cafe. Have been there a few times and tried multiple dishes, they were all amazing - Fritters and Chilli scrambled are my favourite. Coffee was great too! Service was next level! Love everything about this place!

I went here for coffee and the coffee was ok. Not amazing, not bad but ok. I am in two minds about the use of online ordering for service. While the team offered table service it felt like they wanted us to use the online QR code to book. It’s a small thing however for a nice cafe it seems like the benefit is lost when there is online ordering at the tables.

This place has the best oat latte! Usually oat milk can be burnt easily, this one is so delicious and creamy I could drink 50! Scrambled eggs were delish.

Awesome breakfast with a great atmosphere and friendly staff! Highly recommend.

I didn’t know MacGyver was working weekends at 1k Blessings preparing their Uber Eats

A great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I personally love the mushroom toast. Cashew cream has a creamy texture and tasted amazing. Will definitely recommend.

I was in the area with time to kill and this cafe caught the eye. The coffee was excellent, the bliss ball superb. Surroundings were nice as well and the service was calm, assured and impressive. It works here for sure.

Danielle Collins made this little cafe on Highett St Richmond famous in her speech as a finalist in the Australian Open. We have driven past A Thousand Blessings many times and decided to drop in. Well, what a great experience. The coffee surpasses any from my usual haunts in Melbourne and around Australia. He loved the freshness of the nutri bowl with it's sweet and tender brussel sprouts. My chilli scrambled eggs had just the right amount of chilli and the tiny tomatoes provided a cool factor. And, thanks to Tex for his good humoured attentiveness and engaging personality.

So incredibly happy that this place exists as there isn't an abundance of places that use organic and biodynamic ingredients. First time I came here was in-between the lockdowns for COVID. Had the housemade beef and pork sausage roll which was incredibly delicious, a fresh and healthy green smoothie and the lamb shank soup. The lamb shank soup was probably the least interesting as it felt like something I could make at home. In some ways, it sure means that the ingredients are fresh and there aren't unnecessary artificial flavours. Thought the meat was quite fatty but was happy with the amount and variety of vegetables. Second time I came here was during the lockdown and had the reuben with house corned beef to take away. Was impressed by the way they handled the takeaway orders though it was very busy and a fair wait. The corned beef was not too salty and the portion was more than decent. I think the prices are fairly reasonable here considering the quality of ingredients. Will definitely be back to try other items on the varied menu.

This place is a staple. Lovely service, great food and coffee.

My Ruben toastie was very good, better than good In fact. With lots of corned beef, some good sauerkraut and nice bread, it was a winner.

My partners charcoal chicken wrap was another winner, full of chicken and bloody tasty. I didn’t get a take away coffee this time but that’s ok, I definitely grab one next time lol.

Really cute cafe. If you go on a weekend youll have to be quick - fills up fast! Super lovely owner & staff too. Always so friendly. Great food variety and all dishes are yum. Something for everyone.

My personal taste means that smashed peas are the ruiner of any brunch meal. Luckily, I saw smashed peas as part of the Ham Hock Benedict and asked for them to be served on the side - brunch saved!

A Thousand Blessings is a cute, modern Richmond cafe that has a focus on eating good-for-you foods.

I have been there twice and both times had the Benedict. If I go back, I will try the Acai Bowl, because it looks amazing.

The Benedict is not my favourite Benedict, but it is nice. The ham and eggs were cooked perfectly. The smocked potato was a bit soft my liking because it meant that the whole meal just kind of mushed together. I would also prefer more hollandaise on my meal. The avocado side was unsurprisingly expensive ($5, not too much above standard). I had the avo smash that comes with ricotta and feta mixed in. I prefer my smashed avo more seasoned than this came.

The serving sizes are very generous and the tables out the front are puppy friendly. If you go on a Saturday, you need to leave extra time to find a car park but this means that you have the added benefit of having the market running across the road.

The cutest cozy little spot! I had something from the specials menu, lentil soup - and it’s was so delicious and exactly what I felt like!
The staff were so attentive!
Potatostelle
We had the chilli scramble egg and açai bowl. Both were delicious! It can be hard to get a seat on Sunday but it’s worth the wait! Would love to go back and try other things from the menu!

I love this cool cafe in the backstreets of Richmond. Focusing on healthy and organic foods, you can be guaranteed that whatever you are eating is good for you. There is a spacious area with plenty of seating, and there is a cosy atmosphere. This place is often busy, but the happy hum of the other diners just adds to the friendly atmosphere.

We were lead to a great table and ordered fantastic coffees. We ordered some delicious sandwiches, lamb sausage roll and cake from the awesome looking display cabinet as we were in a hurry, but the menu looked amazing too. Everything we ate was delicious and fresh, and the ingredients were all high quality. Service was really quick, and our waitress was lovely. It's clear to see that by it's popularity that A Thousand Blessings really know what they are doing when it comes to delivering great coffee and food.

acai bowl
🏚: A Thousand Blessings
📍: Richmond, Melbourne
💵: $23.5AUD (~530฿)
.
————————————————————
.
📝: A Thousand Blessings is a humble, laidback brunch spot cafe in a neighborhood surrounded by residential homes and leafy trees. This family-run cafe is located not far from the market, thus prioritises fresh and local ingredients for its seasonal menu.

Though with such infamous good reputation, there are numerous brunchers visiting all day, but they manage their traffic well, making sure you don’t have to queue up for long. You won’t be disappointed to brunch here. ❤️: This airy, stylish cafe with wood paneling and street side seating preps eclectic dishes. The acai bowl here is so heavenly, it’s so good, could be the best in town!

Organic acai berries blended with banana and coconut water, served with generous serve of seasonal fruits, nuts, seeds, and house granola. There’s also an option to add crunchy peanut butter and coconut yogurt on the side. Well, knowing me, I wouldn’t opt out of these options. I added both the extras, and, OMG, it made that already amazing bowl even better!
.
————————————————————
.
.
.

Another great coffee and food place in Richmond, tucked into Highett Street. Everything is tasty and healthy. Portion sizes are good and cost is reasonable. Service is excellent with great staff eager to please and bring out the food quickly. Bring your own cup - get a discount on your coffee. Enjoyed the hot ricotta cakes today.

Like that they use seasonable fruit and veggies, so that in itself is quite a commitment to food. Gets busy during weekends so come early.

Takeaway available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Parking not bad.
Sherryyy
Great atmosphere and service. A busy cafe with an ample amount of seats inside and little room between tables. I ordered salmon and quinoa patty which was tasty but a bit small for me. 😶

As a smoothie bowl hunter and acai connoisseur, I think that it’s a very fair call to proclaim this acai bowl one of the best bowls in Melbourne.

Here’s why:

- Size: massive massive massive. It is served in a metal type of bowl with a flat base, and it's filled up to the top with my favourite brand of acai, Purple Foods. Not only the portion of the acai serving is perfect but also the amount of granola is just right - the right amount to make you feel satisfied but not overly full. It has all the right fruit toppings and the combination is flawless - I love it exactly as it is!

- Taste: of course that having said that the brand of the acai used is my favourite, it leaves no doubt that tastewise it is way more than approved. Plus, The granola is insanely good and definitely one of the bests I’ve had (definitely in my top 10!) and it's again not overly sweet - just perfectly perfect! The cacao nibs makes it so enjoyable too!

- Consistency: nothing to add here - the crunchiness of the granola blends perfectly with the creaminess and softness of the fruits, and the sweetness and pulpiness (?😂) of the acai.

- Bonus: you can ask (more like you HAVE to ask) for an additional topping which obviously is peanut butter! It is a VERY generous serving of about 3-4 tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter that leaves you speechless.

The cost of the bowl is $17, a bit more than the ‘average’ but it’s definitely a fair price and I would even add it is CHEAP considering the quality, portions and the dish as a whole!

After having my first bowl there, I visited the place again in less than 2 weeks because I was just overwhelmed by how delicious that meal had been and wanted to take a friend to a good meal. It is definitely a happy moment that I will repeat many many times!

My Key Three Pointers
* Love this place as a coffee pit stop while in Richmond
* Great selection of sandwich wraps
* inviting cafe but ventilation not the best as I always leave smelling like food

Everything I have tried so far has been on point. I love the dark Rye chicken schnitzel, have a great variety of salads and let’s not forget a good menu. The coffee is really nice. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the somber service. I always walk in so happy knowing I’m going to get great food and coffee and leave wondering they must hate their Jobs. Obviously not a thousand blessings for the staff

An underrated but should truly be one of Melbourne’s top cafes!

FOOD: The Acai Bowl, in my opinion, should be the star of the show. I saw that ATB is ‘known for’ their acai bowls and came without any expectations but left being wowed by it. It was FILLED with fruits and the granola was fantastic! It wasn’t too much and it wasn’t too little (and trust me when I say the $2 for the peanut butter is gonna be WORTH IT)! For anyone having an acai bowl craving, ATB has got your back! For the savoury dishes, we ordered the Loves Feast and Pork Hock Benedict! Both dishes were super filling and flavoursome leaving you feeling satieted! The Loves Feast is definitely NOT FOR DIETERS as it is LATHERED on with melted cheese and would be great for sharing IMO! Overall, the food deserves a 5/5! Also, if you feel abit naughty, don’t hesitate to try their carrot cake! Didn’t take a picture but I definitely recommend it!

SERVICE: The service was great and meh. I won’t be pointing fingers but there was a male server who was really pleasant and sweet! He recommended great dishes and was polite enough to inform us about the kitchen closure however another server was quite rude and unpleasant. Rough day I guess?

LOCATION/AMBIENCE: It’s situated in a pretty quaint neighbourhood and since it’s sorta in the suburbs, it’s very peaceful! Lighting was great and overall, it was nice.

A Thousand Blessings may have become my second favourite cafe as I enjoy everything here from the food to the ambience! I love it here and would definitely return!

friendly and welcoming from the first instance. fantastic service throughout and very attentive. great coffee!
the food was amazing too. the beef brisket croquettes and the loves feast was great. eggs were perfect and the cheesy sourdough was delectable.
great location too with plenty of parking around.
Still Waiting
Ordered the Scrambled eggs with chilli and bacon. Came with no chilli uncooked cherry tomatoes and bacon that was dry and had been sitting in a hot handling area all morning not even freshly cooked!!! Seriously this was airport quality food and cost $24! Lady at the till apologised and asked me to remind her next time I come in. Took my money, but I won’t be coming here again.
Ignatia
Food and coffee were okay. Wish I ordered Brekky Board or Paleo Loaf though, they sound more interesting than my mushroom on toast. Waiters were a little not attentive, but thanks to the barista who eventually came to give me the menu.

Food Rating: 3/5
Atmosphere Rating: 5/5
Service Rating: 👏 5/5

A cute little cafe in Richmond with great service and a nice atmosphere. The only downside was perhaps that the granola I ordered was a little bland I wasn't too keen or sure on the chocolate milk (although I do believe that they didn't include this dish on their new, updated menu). However, the service was good, the place had ample seating and a nice, relaxed vibe which lulls you into a comforted mood whilst you enjoy your brunch!

Went to A Thousand Blessings today for coffee with a friend. Lovely staff and ambience. Unfortunately the tea I ordered was barely lukewarm when it hit the table and hence my tea didn’t brew. Very disappointed. Will try somewhere else next time

I loved this first visit to A Thousand Blessings! This is my kind of cafe. One where I can pick and choose something lighter or heavier, something more breakfast inspired or mix and match some healthy lunch options with salads at any time of the day. We enjoyed the granola and the quinoa and salmon patty with the noodle salad. Both dishes were light, nutritious, beautifully presented and the service came with a smile too. A great place to return to and try many dishes!

A Thousand Blessings is a neat little cafe close to Citizen’s Park and as you would expect, it is busy with dog owners and lycra! The cafe prides itself on local and fresh produce and healthy options. For those of us who don’t go for brekkie in our gym clothes, there is an ample amount of seating inside, and it’s a tight squeeze with very little room between tables. We squeezed in along the window and took a look over the menu after ordering a coffee each. I considered the Chilli Scrambled Eggs ($18) and the Pork Hock Benedict ($22)… can you guess what I went with? Keep reading to find out! Mr. B went for the Eggs on Toast ($12) with Smashed Avocado ($5).

Summary:
Serving a mix of smoothies, salads, delicious and decadent savoury brunch cuisines, A Thousand Blessings is a great local spot in Richmond! In the spirit of its name, the cafe "blesses" its customers with plentiful options to choose from - you'll be spoilt for choice!

Highlights:
- Acai Bowl (great portion sizes, mix of granola, nuts and fruit...in addition to a generous portion of organic peanut butter)
- Grilled salmon with green salad (perfect dish in the spirit of spring/summer!)

Overall:
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 4/5
The staff at a thousand blessings were so lovely. We had our first mothers group meet up here and they were very accommodating. They don’t take bookings, but when I called the night before and explained that we needed a table for 8 plus babies they helped out by keeping a big table free for us. Service was attentive and very friendly and when one of us had to leave half way through the meal because our baby wouldn’t stop crying, they offered a takeaway container which was so nice of them. Food was lovely and the decaf too. Very family friendly.

First time coming here and will be coming more often. I had the acai bowl which was yum and filling. The coffee is good too. I love the dog park across the street.

Got a table straight away on a Sunday morning. This cafe is directly across from the dog park!
Staff are super friendly and attentive and food portions are generous.
Coffee is great and the almond milk doesn’t seperate 👍🏻

I tried the Pork Hock Benedicts... and it was really not as good as I thought it should be, can't even finish my meal this time.. my meal was not cold nor hot, dunno it is just my dish but yea think this place is overrated...

Overall really good food! The food is delicious and there are big portions. The service could be improved - we waited a very long time to order and a very long time for take away boxes.

this is my absolute favourite cafe, which is an enormous compliment given my endless love of cute places and yummy brunch options within Melbourne.
I have been a dedicated customer for over five years and have never been disappointed. the staff are polite and attentive, and the atmosphere offers an ambience of welcoming warmth and feelings of calm comfort.
despite always being busy, the employees don't make you feel hurried or pushed out but rather encouraged to relax and engage in the experience with delicious foods and hot coffee made to perfection each time. very professional and well trained baristas!!
I love the seasonal changing menu that accommodates for all dietary requirements but will always favour the super seed porridge to warm my belly on a cold wintry day.
thank you to thousand blessings for being my safe space and keeping me running on caffeine. Xx

Tucked away off the main streets of Richmond, this cafe uses the freshest produce, and that means their dishes always taste spot on. Great coffee and selections of sweet treats too!

I went to A Thousand Blessings for a quick lunch on Friday afternoon with a coworker.
There were so many appealing meal options on both the menu and in the cabinet at the front.
I decided to go with the Middle Eastern Roti Wrap and I was very satisfied. The wrap was full of flavour and very filling - great value for money.

The venue itself is nice, but a little loud when full. Our waiter was helpful but I felt he was a little short when talking to us.
But overall a good experience.

I’d have given lower rating if they didn’t have good coffee, it seemed like only the barista there knew what he was doing. We have been there twice, first time we didn’t get to eat because the staffs didn’t even notice we were there, when they finally noticed us, the kitchen has already closed three minutes! So we left and gave it another go today. Again, we walked in and staffs were walking around just not noticed we were there, the vibe of the cafe just bad. We finally got service and ordered food. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. We ordered something like big breakfast and scrambled eggs on rye with extra eggs and mushrooms. The bacon they called maple bacon tasted just like cooked bacon dressing tons of maple on the top which tasted very sweet and bacon was way too chewy. It came with avocado and cheesy sourdough, avocado was just smashed without flavour and cheesy sourdough was very hard to eat. We ordered extra eggs for scrambled eggs which didn’t seem extra and lack of flavour. Overall, food was bad, service was bad, only cafe was good and there are a bunch of cafes serving good cafe and good food so I don’t see any point to go back this place.

Oh dear. What a disappointment.
Hygiene does not appear to be a priority here nor does friendly smiling service.
When you are half way through a very good coffee and you look up to observe a waiter running his hands through his hair then wiping his nose it fairly deflates desire to order what looked to be very good food.
Even further, when same waiter then proceeds to bring out fresh glasses and water.
Disgusting.

A nice and cosy cafe sitting on a side street in Richmond. Not a long-waiting time for your order and dishes are served in generous portions. Overall, lovely service and food is reasonably priced.

Went to A thousand blessings a little while ago and loved it. It is sitting on a side street in Richmond outside sitting was so nice on a warm day. Ordered the crepe and it was beautifully presented, flavour was really nice as well. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back if Im in the neighbourhood.

Went there to try their smoothie bowl, it was not bad. It came in big portion. The service was a bit let down though. The waitress who attended our table was a bit rude perhaps because the cafe was a bit busy.

Wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch food. Loved the drinks menu too. The staff are very friendly, attentive and professional. This cafe has a warm and welcoming vibe. It's a great place for a delicious meal. We had the chilli scrambled eggs and eggs on toast with bacon. The food and drinks were well presented and tasted good. It was fresh and made with passion. We recommend it to others and we will be back soon.

A Thousand Blessings is a cool little cafe in Richmond, super busy on a Saturday morning but staff are very quick and helpful to find you a spot.

Highly recommend the ice chai latte, have visited twice now and the food has been great both times. The acai bowl and brekky board are great value and certainly hit the spot, would definitely recommend these.

Service is really good and staff have been really nice on both occasions.

Will be moving back into this area later this year, happy that this cool cafe will be one of my locals.

Food: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
We ordered the black sticky rice pudding, brekky board and a short black. Firstly, yum! The brekky board was very filling and was a good way to sample a variety of options with the granola, avocado toast and juice. The black sticky rice pudding was enjoyable and refreshing. The coffee was also good.

Service: 🌟🌟🌟.5
Service was a little slow to start but once our orders were taken, food arrived shortly after.

Price: 🌟🌟🌟.5
Fairly reasonably priced for the quality of the food served. We would definitely come back to sample other options.
Me
It was a pretty overcast day outside but sitting inside it was nice and cozy. Order a coffee and matcha, coffee was good the matcha awesome!

One disappointing aspect was that they weren’t very accommodating to a pregnant person dining with us. A lot of the dishes have soft cheese in them and they were not willing to take the soft cheese out of the options. (i.e. asked for the Smashed Avocado without the goats cheese and they said they couldn’t do that? Corn Fritters were sold out etc. etc.) She ended up ordering toast (gluten free), bacon, avocado and halloumi which cost $25.

Açaí bowl was on point. The rest of the food was good, the scrambles were a bit soggy.
Chewynoms
A brunch place that serves a good selection of veggo and vegan meals. They bake all the bakeries themselves except for breads and they even make their own almond milk! 👏👏 No wonder this cafe is always packed.

Had the mushroom toast and totally love it. 🍄🍞
Mushroom is cooked and seasoned well. The cashew cream on it is so yummy and creamy. Yum!! 😍😍 Love love love my dish!

Service is good and the waitress so friendly. I'll be back for more. 😋😋😋

Amazing amazing brunch food!! The menu had a large variety too. Everything you order on there is so good as well!! Went with a large group of friends and all meals came within a few minutes of each other! Easy parking around the area too! And great coffee!!
Khrisey
Lovely cafe with a nice calming atmosphere. Service was prompt and attentive. I ordered the healthy organic salad regular size, which gave me a choice of upto 3 salads. I picked the cauliflower, charred corn and beetroot salad with a slow braised organic pork hock on top. Served generously on a wooden bowl and all three salads I picked tasted nice, fresh and all dressed well. Worked well with the pork hock too. Will be coming back!

Great space for kids and lots of space. I love the 2 hour parking outside. I felt it's a little overpriced for the smashed avocado but overall good place to visit.
Bikool
very nice and friendly staff, greets me always with a smile. foods amazing and the coffee is just heavenly good. i always have coffee in the morning and it starts my day right.

A little disappointing after a great visit a few minutes months earlier.A slight wait for a table but friendly welcome. Difficult to get server’s attention. Ordered a matcha latte and it arrived with cinnamon top and matcha taste was really weak. So sent it back- we weren’t given the coffee menu but I don’t think it states that there is cinnamon on it which is a little unusual to serve that way. Seemed a long wait for food and the potato skins arrived cold and the matcha crepe was served at fridge temp which I didn’t realise & I would have ordered something else.took about 5 minutes to get staff attention about skins and when did they took them away. But after waiting probably 15 minutes and we had finished breakfast we decided to call it a day. When we went to pay both the matcha and skins were still on the bill and after asking and explaining he removed them. However based on the overall experience I won’t rush back .
Melb_Belly
Amazing acai bowl. The acai bowl was a nice gelato consistency and not overly watery or icey like some places. Generous amount of toppings with seasonal fruits. Would be one of the best I've had.

The salmon teriyaki wasn't bad as well. A tad on the fishy side for salmon but still delicious.

Service was friendly but there was a bit of a wait, taking about 30mins to serve.
Kotix
This place is a great brunch/breakfast eatery. My personal fave is the corned beef Benedict, but pretty much everything on the menu is a goer. Awesome coffee too. It does sometimes get very busy, so keep that in mind when you head there.
Annie Lu
I love my ordering Mocha Crepe with mascarpone cheese, red beans and berries. The pulled pork w mashed potatoes croquet is gluten free. The wait for the dishes to come was more than half an hour but I wouldn't mind as they both taste good. Worth the wait.
BIRCHER QUEEN 👑
Top 3 acai bowl in Melbourne! $23 (peanut butter + coyo = $6). The raw treats and salads in the display cabinet looked incredible! Staff were attentive. Busy cafe but we were lucky enough to get a table for 2 at 12.30pm on a Sunday straight away. We'll be back :)
Eating All The Food
Fresh, healthy food! Breakfast and lunch menu have heaps of options and struggled to pick what I wanted as everything coming out of kitchen looked great. Croquettes were perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside! And you get to pick which salad it was served with!
Sarah Zerafa
The service was top notch and the coffee was amazing. I usually have sugar in my coffee but this place was that good that I didn’t have to. Best coffee I’ve had in ages! We also had the chocolate cupcake with dark chocolate ganache and it was delicious. Highly recommend!
Hello. Imnikki
I’m quite conflicted writing this. I’m tempted to merely wax lyrical about the awesome service, the great coffee and the delicious food, but I cannot deny the fact that the poached eggs were an absolute atrocity.

Everything else was impeccable. We came in just before 2.30pm and were advised by the friendly waiter that the kitchen would be closing soon, and to put in our order ASAP. We even got a pat on the back when we placed our order with minutes to spare.

We were very pleased with our skinny latte and iced latte, and so was I with the Buddha Bowl that I ordered. So healthy yet tasty. My partner enjoyed the Pork Hock Benedict very much too. The potato and cheddar croquettes were divine! It was when he cut into the poached eggs that everything fell apart. The yolks were solid and could pass for a hard-boiled, and the whites tasted strongly of vinegar taste. Got us thinking, did we put too much pressure on the chef just before closing time? We did joke about this to the cashier when paying, but he didn’t seem too concern so we didn’t push the matter further.

An absolute wonderful all-rounder cafe, let down by two miserable eggs.
TK1996
I love love love this place. It's always busy - which only ever means good things.
On my first visit we had to wait quite a bit to be seated because there were no tables available. Although when the food and service pulls through, it's well and truly worth it. I tried the cacao granola - the presentation was amazing - full of colour and creativity as well as full of flavour. For dessert, I tried the orange and poppy seed cake. It was very moist and absolutely melted in my mouth! I think this is my new breakfast place. Worth the 40 minute drive.
Aneta N
Amazing food and great service... avocado smash on toast with poached eggs and maple bacon. Need I say more? Fresh, wholesome and flavoursome food. Coffee and chai was also exceptional. I’ll be back to try everything on the menu!
Julia Stehli
Cozy small cafe with plenty of car park in the front. Staff is very attentive and friendly. My seasonal greens was delicious. My partner had the homemade banana bread which was also yummy. Coffee was great as well.

We had their Pulled pork Benedict and Smash avocado. Both are very nice! Pulled pork goes well with chickpeas and so does avocado smash with goat feta cheese! Definitely gonna come back again and recommend to friends!
Steph
The place was buzzing on a Sunday morning at 10.30am. We were in the area so decided to visit. From all the groups of people outdoors we thought we would definitely have to wait for a table but somehow we were seated straight away?! It was extremely loud inside so if you prefer the quiet, not the place for you.

We ordered the Acai bowl with peanut butter and the hotcake (yes you only get one)
for food.
The Acai bowl looks beautiful but taste wise, nothing wow at all. Unfortunately there was a large portion of the mix that was completely frozen - not pleasant and a lot of random nuts/seeds that just didn't work.

The hotcake was very soft and citrus like but again, nothing wow here.

A lot of hype but average jn my opinion.

Easy and free two hours parking right out in the front of this cafe. What an awesome find. Close to the weekend markets and a park allowing you to do your food shopping and go for a stroll after your meal.

Has outdoor seating and two sections of inner seating. It's quite cold inside.

The menu has a plethora of options both savoury and sweet and their breakfast options are the most expensive. Dishes range from 17-22 dollars.

We got the seasonal greens which were broccolini, kale, Swiss chard, dukkah, salted ricotta and two poached eggs. Quite a filling dish with the right amount of crunchiness, freshness, saltiness and protein a great way to Start off the day.

The cacao nibs bowl with its cacao almond milk though a@ beautiful dish with edible flowers, berries, sunflower seeds, goji berries, and crispy orange was cold to the bone, the almond milk was watery and didn't complement the dish. Perhaps get it with yoghurt over the milk. Quite disappointing. We left it barely touched.

Very quick service. Attentive staff. And split billing allowed.@ Portion sizes are good.

Half of one portobello mushroom was given as a side for my grilled mushrooms when I ordered the ‘make your own’ - that was pretty disappointing.
Me and a friend came here on a Friday morning for breakfast and was absolutely amazed. I had heard many great things about this place (more about the acai bowls than anything else) and can totally see why.

I did order the acai bowl ($17) with a side of peanut butter ($2) and would not hesitate to order it again. The actual smoothie flavours were great but leant more towards the banana side of things. The fruits on top were just so fresh and clean, not old or soft. The fruits I had were banana, pineapple, kiwi fruit, strawberries, and blueberries. And the granola was to die for!! Everything just worked so well together. It was also extremely filling and I almost thought that I didn't need to have the peanut butter with it (but was still nice anyway) - I didn't eat until dinner time however. The peanut butter was also great and natural. Purely peanuts blended up; the best way!

My friend had a "build your own breakfast" with two packed eggs (which were cooked to perfection), dark rye sourdough, hollandaise sauce, tomato relish, and fresh (and I mean FRESH) avocado. She totally loved her meal and said that everything just tasted wholesome and nourishing. The hollandaise sauce was delicious and so was the relish. She too was really full from this and didn't eat until dinner. She also ordered a cappuccino and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food in the front window all looked to amazing and just really healthy, clean and fresh. the servers were also very friendly and allowed us to pick wherever we wanted to sit (but we had to opt for indoors and all the seats outside were taken). The overall vibe of the cafe is great too and we ended up staying for about 1.5/2 hours.

Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone! I will be returning myself to try a few more things.

Bit of a funky smell at the back, we moved tables a few times and ended up sitting on the most comfortable cushions at the front of the restaurant directly across the counter, that's where you want to sit. I had the 'Lovers Feast' and my partner had the 'Chilli Scrambled Eggs', couldn't tell you what tasted better. We left greatly satisfied.

Honestly hands down my favourite place for nourishment, nuf said. I love the warm atmosphere, friendly staff and the beautifully prepared food making 1000 my second home! The food always presents so well too. I get stuck ordering as everything is that good. Tip? SEASONAL MUSHROOMS!! Another? Loves feast, hot cakes, almond bread!! I absolutely love everything but I have this love/hate relationship with the treats haha actaully all LOVE!! Love you guys! Keep doing what you're doing (:

Awful customer service. I have been telling my friend about this place for months. I was a huge fan. I finally brought her to a thousand blessings and the whole experience was terrible. To start, her hot chocolate was cold, and my chai (which I get regularly) was weak. The lady fixed the chai issue quickly but blamed the almond milk, even though it was definitely just the brew of the chai. She took a long time to basically tell me that's exactly how it should be. After 45mins of waiting for our food, we asked and she forgot to put our food through. This stuff happens though, that wasn't the crux of it - she blamed the chai mishap for the food being forgotten. She made excuses for the chai and the forgotten food, which isn't great for the customer. She made me feel like it was my fault. Next time just apologise and move on. After all that, when trying to pay they couldn't find our bill. We finally got our bill, and I asked if we could have the hot chocolate off given the whole experience and she was very rude and refused - she said they didn't do that. We got everything so we should have to pay for everything. My friend and I both work in hospitality and have done for 5 years - at every place we have worked, if any food is late, and particularly with other stuff going wrong too, the least you do is take a drink off the bill. And her rudeness was the cherry on top. I work 30 hours a week in a Richmond cafe making every customers experience the best it can be, and when I finally treat myself and go out to breakfast it's not nice to experience such disorganisation, defensiveness, and attitude. It was disappointing to finally bring my friend to a cafe I haven't stopped talking about, when we spend so much time being waiters, and have this happen. You've lost a very devoted customer.

Great chilly eggs and good food. Service is a bit on down side. I was with the baby and they made me sit right near the gate so had chilly winds coming in everytime the door opened. I tried this place again and same type of service. Service is definitely something to work on.

Nice warm dishes on a cold day. Very generous servings and they taste good too. Would definitely return. A bit hard to find parking when the market is running nearby.
Valina Whites
I had a beautiful lamb and vegetables pastie, and a delicious chai latte. Service was fast attentive and friendly. Will be back, and hoping to try one of those good looking sweet treats in the window!
Elena Boughen
I had the most beautiful mixed wild mushrooms with a garlic and miso glaze, celeriac mousse, fried eggs and sourdough toast. Sooooo good! When in Richmond next I shall be back.
Kiffdcosta
I really liked this place! It was super cute & homey. The staff were great and for a Saturday brunch time we didn't have to wait very long at all! I had the fritters which were nice, but they did just taste like a quiche or something similar. The sweet potato shavings were really nice tho. The chai was alright as well
Olivia
Best acai bowls and also love their green cheese toastie! Very fast and efficient service. Best to go on a weekday or early during the weekend as it can get busy.

Updated May 19
Went back and was really good! Great eggs benny

Looked busy out the front but inside was fine and we were seated straight away! Ordered the corn beef eggs benny with which was pretty tasty and the scrambled eggs that looked a bit strange but tasted nice! Coffee was excellent and service was fine. Didn't blow me away but I would go back for sure. 3.5/5

Went here on a Sunday because saw the rave reviews. Waited thirty mins for a table and the staff were super lovely and attentive but the food was just smehhhhh and not seasoned and honestly nothing to write home about. Wouldn't visit again. Did grab a yummy carrot cake on the way out which saved the day. Over priced and over hyped

Excellent food and service. The staff are really friendly. Parking was easy out the front on a weekday. Acai bowl is delicious and I'll return very soon to try other items :)

One of my favourite things to do, check out cafe! I had a breakfast date with my girlfriend and decided to check this place out. It looks like it is popular with the locals and I can see why. We were welcomed warmly and it is so nice and cosy inside. The staff were friendly. I ordered my coffee and has flat white. Delicious! To satisfy my sweet tooth I opted for the strawberry hotcakes with fresh berries, toasted nuts, seeds, maple syrup, sheep's yoghurt parfait infused with lemon myrtle. I am one happy customer!

This is one of my very favourite cafes in Melbourne. The menu includes a whole heap of intriguing ingredients and the dishes are not only delicious but generally also quite healthy. You will also find interesting local ingredients like wattleseed and lemon myrtle and different textures and techniques such as feta mouse or sheep's yoghurt parfait. It's organic, it's seasonal, it's a wonderful spot. My go to with my vegetarian friends, I feel blessed to have discovered it
Note the photo is an oldie but you can't go wrong with anything there

Coffee - Had a takeaway flat white that I drank in the park across the road on a sunny Saturday morning. A very delicate coffee which was light on flavour but had subtle hints of chocolate and toffee. The milk flavours overpowered the coffee but it had a rich, silky mouthfeel and a full creamy flavour.

Place was packed but staff were still friendly and efficient.

If the coffee had been stronger I would have gone for 4.5 but I felt like I was mostly drinking warm milk. If you prefer a light coffee though this might be the place for you!
Lisa Giles
This place is always packed on the weekend, so my sister and I went to check it out on a weekday. The menu is expansive, and the two dishes we got were delicious. I got the chilli scrambled eggs which were full of flavour, and she got the salad trio with a lamb shoulder. The cauliflower salad was probably her least favorite but the mango salad and green salad options were tasty! So many other things on the menu that I want to try next time.
Pinch Of Bacon
A favourite of ours for breakfast! Coffees are awesome and the meal options delightful! Hope that they bring back the congee this winter - real comfort food!

Organic food, good coffee. What else could you ask for! Oh yea... great service from the crew too! That always helps right? Love these guys!
Maddy Ross
Lots of nice fresh produce - food was delicious. I had the seasonal greens with poached eggs which was yum and healthy. Also, there was a great atmosphere and outdoor seating with lots of cute dogs around. The staff were all very friendly.
Jade Pearce
I love the menu variety and the coffee here. Smoothies are great and the staff are always lovely. Super busy on market day but they manage to churn through the coffees! The almond cake is a winner as is the acai bowl.
Michelle Flanagan
I was seated and the person I was with was running about 15 minutes late. I was asked when my friend was arriving as clearly the waitress was annoyed that I was taking up a table and not ordering as I was waiting for my friend. Once we had ordered we had to wait 45 minutes for food. The food was average for the price, there's plenty of other establishments which offer better value for money and better service.
Lily
I rate this soulful and hip cafe! Very handy for post Gleadell st market shopping, or pre-shop wake up call! I've never had a bad coffee or meal here, although making up my mind on what to order was always the hardest! The menu is extensive and the dessert/takeaway cabinet is way too plentiful for me to say no to! Must try a savoury tart to takeaway!
Jac D
Very loyal customer. Coffee is consistently A+ standard and the food has a wide and delicious offering. The chilli scrambled is my fav - I am a vegetarian so I ask for it without the meat and it's no issue. Customer service here is one of the main reasons I continue to come back. Everyone who works there is friendly and happy to serve, which is much appreciated! 10/10

Found on an unsuspecting street, this very busy brunch spot delivers brunch foods that cater for the health conscious. However there are other typical brunch dishes if your wanting something more hearty. Very well presented and flavored.
Alice
Over priced and issues paying with meal card - staff member reports multiple issues with meal cards and often not accepted, this is not acceptable and needs to be fixed.
Mrs Mark
Another locally sourced organic overpriced hipster cafe. I quite liked the salads (I had a mix of 4 salads - beetroot, corn, greens and roast cauliflower) that were fresh and tasty but be mushrooms were a bit blah and the portion size was small.
Mila Sara
One of my favourite cafe spots in Melbourne, a hidden gem. Service always with a smile. The Cacao Granola is SO delicious and beautifully presented. The Chilli Scramble is another of my favourites, GREAT coffee and smoothies also very YUM!! Highly recommend :)
Adam Edward
Love this place. has become my regular over the past few months. Many places claim home cooked status, but this place is the real deal. Biodynamic eggs and farm fresh produce, alongside the best coffee around and amazing service with a smile (not that easy to find anymore). Love it
Lisa Gresens
Friends recommended this place to us but we weren't impressed - service was rude and unattentive and food under delivered based on prize. I had the loves feast but didn't like the maple bacon at all.

A Thousand Blessings for us that this place opened its little red doors. It has a creative menu that focuses on healthy seasonal produce. The delectable black sticky rice pudding with coconut cream, pineapple and mango pieces capped by a coconut and pandan jelly and puffed rice was heavenly. Sweet without being overpowering, it was delicious from the first to the last bite. The soy hot chocolate was a bit too watery for my taste. A comfortable space with modern touches throughout, complemented by efficient, polite staff. This was a really good food experiment.
SameSameButDifferent
Great little busy cafe. Food was delicious and friendly staff. I had a Beetroot chicken roll with avo. Simple but tasty. Coffee was a short mac and it was pretty good too :)
Colin
Best breakfast and lunch in Richmond but keep the secret!
Love all the fantastic food and the salads are really healthy and so tasty.
I especially love the eggs and dark rye bread.
Amyreid129@gmail.com
Always wanted to go here-even though my partner is reluctant to go to 'trendy places' where you wait forever & get a 'tiny meal' we finally came on a Sunday lunch time-had 15/20 minute wait for table, was then told 20mins or so wait for food as they were very busy.
I ordered the berry hot cakes & my partner 'The feast' they arrived 30mins later & we both agreed they were well worth the wait!! Big portions & both delicious :)
Def worth the visit/wait!
Jenni Zheng
Never again. We have been waiting 30 mins on an ice coffee, the croissant taste like bread puff and the bottom is burnt. Very very disappointed
AnotherAsianAbroad
Love this place. Everything is super healthy and organic!

Had the acai bowl and it tasted just as good as it looks! Wish I could eat here every day.

Good coffee & good menu. I had the loves feast - omg the cheesy toast makes the meal. Everything about it I loved. Two of my friends got the banana fritters & they looked incredible. And i like that it's out of the way also which makes parking so easy. Yep I enjoyed it nearly as much as frozen 😛
Phil
Fairly busy on Sunday morning but were seated straight away. Ordered the karaage chicken rolls and potato skins with seaweed mayo and the Matcha crepes with red beans. The crepes were delicious and the matcha was good. The potato skins were delicious with the mayo. The chicken roll was nice but not as good as the other 2 dishes. Menu had loads of great options and will go back to try them.

Wow, just had the most amazing brunch I've had in a long time. Place was packed at 10:30am but only had a 15 minute wait for a table. Parking wasn't too bad either, considering there was a market on across the road.

I had a soy hot chocolate which was the perfect temperature to drink as well as the Loves Feast. Seriously such a great dish! The maple bacon, smashed avocado, cheesy sourdough and the perfectly poached eggs counterbalanced each other so well, so it wasn't overly salty or overly sweet.

Service was great even though they were so busy, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food, maybe about 25 minutes from ordering?

Thanks, A Thousand Blessings, for doing what you're doing so well! I'll definitely be back, especially with the dog as this is a very dog friendly place!
Andrew Snape
This place in my opinion has the best Acai bowls in Melbourne. Plenty of delicious and fresh fruit on this. Presentation is amazing.
The raw treats are superb too.
Chan Chan
Ahhh a thousand blessings.
Our go to brunch place when we can't think of anywhere to go.

The loves feast is the only thing on the menu that lasts throughout every season.

It makes me feel less guilty when I read that the eggs is local and the bacon is local. Can't prove it but that's enough for me to turn into a pig :)

Smoothies that will make you pick it over the coffee... enough said.

When do you You know you've gone to a good place?
When you stand at the til waiting to pay for your meal and your looking into the display cabinet considering if there is anything to take for the next meal.

Two thumbs up for this place.
Eatwithhendri
my second visit here..always feeling blessed when dining at this place. delicious food, great coffee, lots of vego and non vego options. menu was creatively prepared and the most importantly they tasted good.
@twogoodtoresist
This constantly busy cafe offers an extensive menu with both healthy and cheeky options! Our favourites are the Acai and green bowl but all dishes are great. Smoothies and juices are tasty too and their dessert cabinet does not disappoint!

I liked this cafe from the second I walked in. They were super busy but I was acknowledged straght away and seated. Coffee came out quickly and tasted amazing!!! Waiter took my order and food came out pretty fast. Waiter was so on top of everything and everyone were super efficient. The acai bowl I had was so good and was a generious portion I couldnt finish it which is a first for me. Would go back for sure.

Have been to this cafe a few times now and thoroughly enjoyed my meals every time. Quality of food is great and their menu is full of choice. However the last time I came I asked for a sprinkle of dukkah on my eggs, it came out in a side ramekin which was fine (I only asked for a little bit but okay), but then we got the bill and I was charged $4 for it. I understand that you pay extra for sides but I think $4 is very steep, especially when I asked for just a little on top of my eggs and it is not listed on their menu as a side. I will come back because as I said, the food is fantastic, so is the coffee and service but perhaps without the dukkah next time.
Zomatoaddict
Nice cafe with interesting front door! Enjoyed the seasonal greens and good quality coffee . Staff were friendly and polite :) Will come back soon!

We're locals and have been coming to Blessings for 2 years now, minimum once a fortnight. Great staff, very friendly, love the coffee and always had a great meal. This is our fave local cafe and bring our family and friends here when they visit.

Bad customer service. I gave eye contact and said "order please"to the waitress but she (black skin with curly hair) looked at me and walk pass. Never go back. I dont understand why because the cafe is not busy at all.
Melbourne Glutton
Actually one of the reasons we chose to come here is because. the menu is full of GF options. Of these, we ordered the buckwheat pancakes
Laurak
I went here with my partner for a late brunch and was so glad we decided on this cafe! Despite it being full, we were seated straight away towards the back.
The coffees and the food came out quickly (the coffee was probably the best I've tried in Melbourne) and the food was unbelievable. The only negative we experienced was the guy serving us. His attitude was disgusting, he looked like we bothered him each time we wanted to order something and he had this arrogant vibe about him (plus he didn't smile once the entire time we were there). But apart from that - the coffee and the food was amazing. Highly recommend it!
Arathi Kr
I love Melbourne for its breakfasts, this cosy little cafe though has one of the most extensive menu's I have ever seen. Everything on the menu sounded absolutely delicious , took me a while to decide what I to eat. Finally settled on the corn beef benedict and was not disappointed at all!!!
Shoo Shoo
9am on a Saturday and this place was swarming. There was a farmer's market happening opposite, so maybe that's why. I actually drove passed and didn't notice the cafe at first, but when we left there were herds of people out the front so it would be hard to miss.

Had the pancakes, loves feast, and eggs with chorizo. Plus I took a Nutella donut for the road. The pancakes were delicious and interesting. They were pretty heavy for a breakfast, so I would recommend sharing it and breaking it up with something savory.

I didn't really enjoy my eggs and chorizo. The eggs were a little dry and the chorizo seemed overcooked. However my coffee was delicious.
Service was super lovely too and I'd come back here again.
Nathan
Cool litre cafe in richmond. Quite vegan friendly and the coffee was nice. I have been back quite a few times in the last year and am now find of the place.
Caitlin White
Amazing local cafe with excellent local produce and lovely staff, the owner is brilliant! We live in the area and find A Thousand Blessings to be the perfect local. Would recommend to anyone!

Don't really see the hype.
My friend and I (with our two little babies) ordered already prepared food from the counter (a sandwich and a salad mix), which took about 30 min to come. Two ladies who arrived after us got their food served before we got ours.
To make it worse there was a hair trapped in my wrap - so this definitely happened in the process of making it- which says a lot about the hygiene level of the place.
The waiter did take $2 off the bill to make up for the waiting time and at that point I couldn't be bothered mentioning the hair pb.
Won't go back there - there are way too many other cool places in Richmond to try.
Gourmet Explorer
It's a large cafe. We ordered love feast and seasonal vegetable. The food were tasty. They put a little bit of honey on top of the toast, then toasted it, made it crispy. I liked it. If they add a bit more variety to the seasonal vegetables , and add some vegetables to the love feast, it will be better. I felt quite thirsty after the meal.

Another excellent brunch place to add to my recent spate of brunch successes. I ordered the brown rice congee with chilli oil, which was pretty amazing. Thick and salty, it was served with a preserved egg and a slice of pork jowl. The pork jowl was a fatty, melt in your mouth, jaw - droppingly good (ha, see what I did there?) kind of affair.

My dining partner ordered the sweet potato cakes, which she seemed to be pretty stoked about. For dessert, we shared the apple cinnamon pancakes, which were slightly dry, but still amazing once drenched in maple syrup.

Give it a try!

Katrina O’Shaughnessy
This place does not disappoint.
The food is really spectacular so healthy and great for people with intolerances.
The portion sizes are so generous.
Well worth a visit!!

Staff are always very friendly here! great place to bring the dogs and have a coffee before heading out to the park. Coffee is great and the Acai bowl we ordered was plentiful and yummy. Our local and will definitely be back!!

Loved the swan pic on my hot choc. Was really unique and hadn't seen it before - hats off to the barista for making it so special. Unfortunately the hotcakes we had was too spongy - too much sponge and too little crumb - would have been good to have a balance of each element so I could have at least cleared my plate and craved for more after each spoonful. The potato croquette with smashed peas and hamhock with hollandaise was really yum. And latte was good. Staff were polite but not as friendly or smiley with first impressions - most of them seemed a bit tired and stressed or really tense - wasn't a very welcoming vibe. But we might be back to try other things.

After not lunching in Richmond for ages, I found myself back there for the third consecutive week and thought it was the perfect opportunity to tick A Thousand Blessings off my list. This popular cafe has been on my ‘to do’ list for longer than I can remember and as soon as we were seated at one of their communal tables I immediately understood why it has experienced such ongoing success. Housed on a leafy back street, the cafe itself is bright and fresh with a somewhat minimalist and rustic fit out. There is no artwork in sight, with the decoration and texture in the space coming by way of large timber feature walls.
Mish Jugz
After having heard a friend rave about this place, I went there on for a late lunch and boy was it worth it. I had the Smoked pork hock Benedict and it was so tasty and well balanced. I would definitely come back. Great combo of yummy food, good atmosphere and great service. Could not ask for more.
Panda
Great place, very busy. Staff were friendly and helpful and parking was easy to find when we went at around 9:30am on a Sunday. Food didn't take ridiculously long to come out either considering how busy it was and it was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Liu Yi Lee
Coffee was great. service was friendly but rather slow (waited 30 mins for table of 1). Quite disappointed with the food- saltbush lamb was rather tasteless and watery, although the meat was tender. There is a good range on the menu though, so I would consider coming back before writing it off.
Local
Lovely little cafe with delicious and sometimes unusual combinations to eat. Unexpectedly delicious was the toasted green sandwich with kale, broccoli and avocado. The salad combo is a great option - brussel sprouts was the winner (never thought I'd say that!) but couldn't really fault the other three salads either. The root vegetable bake was tasty and coffee was good. It has great outdoor seating out the front so you can bring your dog with you. That, and friendly but relaxed staff who don't rush you means I'll be visiting again.
KT Eats
I am here basically everyday and not just because it's around the corner from work, but how lucky is that! Great coffee, delish protein balls, muffins, salads to takeaway, the croquettes are smashing, any breakfast item is a winner, my go to favourite are the corn fritters, lovers feast, smashed avo. These guys are always packed to the rafters and for good reason. The staff are quick to recognise regulars and learn your name which is a great touch. Thinking about my next visit...
Roxanne Hastie
Food was yum. Coffee was really good and smooth. Staff were friendly. BUT our breakfast took over 45 minutes after ordering and the space is a bit too small, with tables so close you're almost having breakfast with the people next to you.
Ed
Terrible just terrible service. If you want to wait in line with a bunch of entitled yuppies for overpriced food and average coffee, and be treated like a nuisance by the dour one-syllable teenagers who struggle to comprehend even the simplest orders, then this is the poorly decorated cafe for you!
Jessica Kurban
Really great place! Friendly & attentive staff!
Food was served pretty quickly even though they were packed!
Food was delicious! We will be back!!!
Bianca Caserta Voado
This is my absolute go-to brunch spot which never ever fails me. SUPER generous serving sizes which also boast so much flavour, beautiful presentation and top quality produce. Expansive menu of both sweet and savoury options, breakfast dishes, lunch dishes, health-concious dishes, naughty treats - it really is a place for EVERYONE. The coffee is superb and they use organic dairy and soy. If almond milk is your thing like me, you'll be so impressed with their home made organic almond milk. It's the best! The homemade paleo loaf is an absolute winner and easily the best in Melbourne. Will keep coming back week after week. Friendly staff who are always smiling. This place is a true Melbourne gem. Thanks guys!

Our first time on a Sunday for brunch waited 20min for a table which isn't bad

Coffee = 4.5/5 - (Rich and Creamy - Very nice)
Food = 4/5 - (Good quality food, creative menu options, healthier choices, excellent presentation.)
Service = 5/5 (Attentive and friendly)
Atmosphere = 3/5 (Busy, Cosy / Small )

CON: Came here for Sunday Brunch 10:30am, We waited just over an hour for food to come out 12pm - ended up being lunch. I understand it was busy but I still think that was a long wait..

I will be back - recommend this cafe
Tessm
Lovely meals here! Extensive menu that all sounds incredible!! The chestnuts pancakes with espresso mascapone, apples and ginger was delicious. Very sweet crumble but taste. Coffee was great and lovely atmosphere. I look forward to returning!

I enjoyed everything in this cafe, the easy parking, the park view, the red wooden door, the staff and the food of course. Felt refreshed after having light and tasty lunch. Coffee was amazing.

I have been living in the area for a while and have been meaning to get to this place for such a long time, and I'm so glad I finally made the walk down the end of my street. I was so excited to finally be able to order granola, as anything oat based is a no-go for me. The buckwheat granola with almond mylk and coyo was seriously heavenly and felt like such a treat! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Anyone with any kind of intolerance should definitely check this place out.
Ross Crisp
Great coffee, consistently good food. BUT service is very disappointing. Perfunctory & complacent. Staff seem to be counting bums on seats.

Great coffee and food!!!!

Ordered
Chestnut hotcakes
Smoked pork hock benedict
Saltbush lamb shoulder

I enjoyed everything. Ingredients were fresh, every dish was cooked with care, and tasted wonderful. The winner of the day was lamb shoulder. The meat was tender. It was perfect balance when I ate everything on the plate together.

Cappuccino was strong and flavourful.

The service was friendly. My only complaint was it took too long for the food to come out. It was more than 40 minutes after we seated.
Belinda Vee
A lovely cafe with some really cute decor! I loved the staff they were very attentive from the minute we walked into those red doors! The coffee was good but I would definitely come back for the acai bowl!
Chi Chi
A cute little organic cafe amongst iconic Richmonds Highett st. Offering the MOST amazing ramen I've had so far...I would eat this dish daily and keen to return for more goodness!

Went to Sunday morning breakfast around 9.30 and was pleasantly surprised to have no wait for a table. I love how this little gem is hidden in a side street of Richmond neighboured by gorgeous town houses. It has a great welcoming, relaxed feel with timber interior.

I ordered the cacao granola with added coyo and an almond mylk latte. I really enjoyed the granola, a lot of flavour and the fresh seasonal fruit is actually fresh! Whoop! I wasn't too keen on the coffee actually, the almond mylk is house made but it just didn't go down as smoothly as other brands. Nothing wrong with it, just personal taste.

I am very excited to go back and try the corn fritters or the pumpkin hot cakes or the smashed avo or the seasonal feast. Let's just say the menu is impressive. My visit really was a blessing.
Hannah Stewart
Lovely little cafe with a bustling trade. I was impressed by the menu which had a great selection of dishes other than your standard smashed avo or big breakfast. Their house almond mylk is to die for. Overall a great place
Hugh Dickson
Smoked pork Benedict, Loves Feast, Lamb Roll & Acai Berry smoothie are my go to. Best coffee in Richmond love that they use biodynamic milk and eggs, the quality produce is worth the wait and price
Caitlin Mary
Seriously good food. The seasonal variation in menu keeps me coming back but always having the classics available is always good when I'm not feels adventurous. I don't normally enjoy milkshakes but the chocolate milkshake here is hands-down the best. That staff are always so lovely and accommodating and ask all the right questions when you're unsure what to order. With so many great option indecisiveness is common.
Delightfullytasty
A Thousand Blessings is a cosy cafe in the Richmond area, just off Church Street and easily accessible by tram 78. It's owned by the same people behind the froyo chain 'Frozen by a Thousand Blessings', and prides itself on serving and using organic and local produce. The cafe has a very homely feel to it, with the use of wooden decor and soft colours. It can seem a little cramped for space at times, but the relaxed atmosphere and overall service of the place makes up for this. Staff were attentive and friendly, and our food didn't take too long to arrive. There was also no wait for a table when we went around 12pm on a Sunday, which was really great.
Ihoward
Friends have been raving about this place and I was in the area so I decided the give it a go. Had to wait 15 minutes to get a table but the service was friendly and attentive. Ordered the salted caramel smoothie, which unfortunately was a let down for a pricey $12. There was no hint of caramel just banana. I decided to try out the hotcakes whilst my partner ordered corn fritters. After a lengthy 40 minute wait our food arrived and it was beautifully presented. The hotcakes were delicious but sickly once half way through. It definitely needed some sourness to break through the sweetness which it lacked. My partner's corn fritters were unfortunately very dry and there was no sauce on the plate to counteract it (needs some smashed avo or sour cream). They didn't have a pleasant mouthfeel and he wouldn't order them again. The cafe it self has a nice atmosphere but is super busy and loud. Unfortunately we were sat near the door which kept being left open and it was freezing. I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu but maybe during a week day when it isn't so busy!
Luke
We had a very lovely waitress greet us and seat is after a 20 minute wait (this place is no longer a "hidden gem") and the Acai bowls were delicious. The coffee was also very good. A good dining experience! My only suggestion would be to take customers' numbers who are waiting so that they're not lingering around the diners and can be contacted when their table is available.
Jay
Absolutely delish! I had the Acai bowl and it was so refreshing and tasty! Coffee was also very good! Recommend it to everyone! Thanks for an amazing breakfast
Foodaholic
Came here today for lunch with a few friends. Wait was long- close to an hour when they said it was only going to be 20-30 mins. That's ok given I guess every place in Richmond on a weekend is busy. But then once seated and ordered-order took forever to come. We waited close to another hour. Although food was very nice as it always is- if management knows that they will be slammed on the weekend as they always are- why are they not putting more staff on the floor and kitchen? Is it to save money? Or to turn customers away? Cause no matter how good the food is if anyone has to wait that long they won't be coming back.

A Thousand Blessings is one of the better cafes I've had the pleasure to dine at in recent months among a multitude of different venues (exams, blegh!). Open on a public holiday, we were greeted with a big crew waiting out the front for a table, but decided to leave our names in lieu of leaving as we'd be playing pot luck looking for an alternative on the day...and we did not have to wait long, this is a sizeable venue.

The first nice touch was the older Asian lady (presumably the owner), who remembered my partners name, sat us with a smile, and checked on us while we were eating in a somehow remarkably unobtrusive manner.

A ramen soup was fantastic, warm and welcoming and a nice change from standard breakfast fare, and the sweetcorn fritters were also very tastefully put together - and tasty! Coffee was easily up to Melbourne standard.

Will certainly visit again, and recommend you do the same!

This morning I visited a thousand blessings in Richmond for breakfast. I was lucky as my friend got in early and snagged a table right before the people started to line up! It's a nice little cozy spot in Richmond and they have basket full of fluffy blankets to put on your lap when it's chilly, which it was this morning! I order the chilli scrambled eggs with speck, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, dill and parmesan. It was really good, very warming and filling on a cool Sunday morning. The service was quite good too. Safe spot for dogs too, lots of outdoor tables!

Disliked the mashed peas but other than that there's nothing I can fault. Acai bowl was really fresh, croquettes were nicely done and staff were attentive and friendly.

You really feel the blessings all around at A thousand blessings! Definitely one of Melbourne's best little secrets!! A thousand blessings attracts crowds from all over Melbourne, they take pride in their premium organic produce. Aside from the quality of the produce and aesthetic appeal of the dishes, the nutritional value and flavors are highly defined. The menu here does take a journey around the world in its influence of multi-cultural flavors.

The Acai bowl as one of the breakfast dishes sampled was refreshing and colorful- made from some of the healthiest fruits of longevity sprinkled with many grains of life sitting on a bed of the potion of youth (the berry and Acai smoothie)- packed with antioxidants, energy, flavor and nutrition- this could be the secret to eternal health!

The second dish sampled was the smoked pork Benedict- melt in the mouth, slow cooked pork with mashed peas and apple cider hollandaise accompanied by two croquettes- sinfully crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside- who wouldn't want to bite into that??... This hearty dish could be the secret to eternal pleasure!

...back to earth... I would like to commend the staff and leadership team on the smooth management of the service efficiency and quality in handling the dense crowds of diners and the fact that it's done with a smile!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here a week ago. It was amazing! As the other reviews states very hard to fault and the coffee is the best I've had in Richmond. I'll definitely be coming back for breakfast next time.
LittleMissPiggy
One of the best breakfasts in Richmond that is extremely hard to fault! Although you might have to line up on a sunny day, I can guarantee you it's worth it! They serve up everything and anything you could want both sweet and savoury! MUST TRY - The loves feast (maple bacon, cheesy sourdough! And more) and the corn fritters. They also do delicious juices, smoothies, salads but best of all, sweets and pastries! MUST TRY - Raw snickers bar!
It's incredibly cheats for the massive servings, quality of food, and insanely nice staff.
Will always go back for more!
Sarah
Lovely food but very average service. We were waiting at the counter for someone to greet us and help us get seated but it took about 4 mins until one of the three waiters at the counter decided to acknowledge us.
RoSe
recommened to go by a friend. i thought it was a great little cafe with good food and coffee, the service was also good. i will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed brunch at a thousand blessings this morning. For starters we didn't have to wait long for a table which was fantastic. The coffee was great as were the chilli scrambled eggs. They definitely don't skimp on the chilli though so be warned!
May
Really cozy breakfast place! Service is always warm & friendly here . Our favs are the corn fritters and love feast ! Recommended to visit :)
Sophie
Such a great little cafe, always busy but staff continue to greet there customer with a smile. Presentation of food is more of an art form especially the Acai bowl which looks incredible and colourful and tastes delicious.
Chris Gryg
Fantastic service, despite being busy. Quality ingredients and a wide selection of take away-options, coffee is perfect. Many house made products (eg. Try the house Almond bread with home made Jam) The interior is beautiful. Owner is always there, serving with a big smile. Everything is not only delicious, but they have incorporated a huge healthy element across their offerings. One of Richmond's best.
Natasha Juchkov (Culinary Runway)
One of the sweetest little cafes I've been to in Melbourne. A Thousand Blessings is all about sustainability and fresh produce, producing amazing food with little harm to the environment. Great coffee, strong aroma, not too sweet, easy on the cocoa,. really smooth and creamy. Eggs Benedict - $20. The one thing this dish lacked was TOAST! But apart from that,
Karlo Testen
been there 4 times, great breakfast, usual spread of good cafe food, and crazy busy on sundays in am. Coffee also of very good standard. Will be back

A thousand blessings is a brunch cafe nestled in amongst a suburban Richmond street, this cafe attracts a regular crowd of people for it's brunch focussed menu and coffee as well as lunch. We came on a Sunday and only waited 10 minutes for a table inside, there were plenty outside but it was far too hot.

The cafe is a fluster of exhuberant social and kitchen noise, it's not too loud to have a conversation though. The decor is refurbished minimalistic urban chic with wooden tables. It has a nice feel to it, the staff are very friendly and attentive. It was 40 degrees outside and we were very thankful for our cold table water being topped up consistently and promptly.

We had the corn fritters, the summer feast, cacao granola and the acai bowl. All the dishes were lovely. The corn fritters were a bit lacking though, could've used a bit more of a sauce or some more fresh veggies to break up all the fritter. The summer feast was awesome, the seasoned ricotta tasted a lot like humus and all the greens were sautéed and perfectly seasoned. The two fruit and grain dishes were also great with fresh high quality ingredients.

Would definitely return.

Always busy for a reason!

Great breakfast spot on The Island

Have had the smoked pork Benedict - awesome! And the Corn fritters.. Excellent.

Try the Red Dragon Crushed Ice drink if it's a hot day or you've just done exercise.
Tia
Lovely, light interior a bit out from Richmond's main foodie streets. Some cool healthy brekkie bowls, your normal egg dishes, and heaps of wraps and deli items on the menu. You can also opt for a smoothie or juice. The cacao granola was enjoyable, but pricey (16$). You could just buy the granola from a shop and eat it for a good few days for that price! I wish there was a gluten free option for the wraps...

My favourite brunch place in Melbourne! The menu is always interesting and tasty - hats off to the chef!. The staff are very friendly and wonderful hosts. Highly recommend any day of the week.
Inlovewithbrunch
a thousand blessings really. which made me think about a cafe of the same name which i recently visited in richmond, but hadn’t yet written about. and then all of a sudden, today seemed like the perfect time.

a thousand blessings is located right near the popular gleadall street farmers market, so on a market day you can expect a queue for a table or even a takeaway coffee. although the wait would be well worth it. however, on this particular rainy weekday morning, i had no such problem grabbing a table inside the converted house with high ceilings + large windows looking out onto the leafy street and park.

if you have a feeling that the name is familiar, it is. the owners also own ‘frozen by a thousand blessings’ – a frozen yoghurt chain found in a number of spots in melbourne. and much like frozen, the cafe has a focus on fresh + local ingredients for its seasonal menu, sourced locally wherever possible. the delicious all-day breakfast + lunch menu has been carefully and creatively designed by head chef adam hall (previously from flying fish in sydney).

Wondered down for a lazy lunch and was absolutely blown away by this place. It's cute and quaint, with lovely staff and amazing food.

I had a salad (made up of 3 different types of salad -- I know! Amazing!) along with some lamb shoulder. It was phenomenal!

Very very generous serving sizes and looking around, everyone seemed to really enjoy their lunch. Highly recommend.
Marie
Always so so good! Very consistent service, and brunch is on point every time. Have always been and there's people everywhere, which no doubt means they feel the same way! It is though that little bit more to pay - but worth it :)

I've got the wrong place. Oops. How do j delete? Will try this place
And edit later..... Apologies

If someone knows how to delete so let me know.

Beautiful, quiet spot just off Bridge Riad, with the outdoor seating under big shady trees. Yummy, fresh organic food with delicious flavours. Chilli Scrambled was cooked perfectly and just spicy enough for brekky with a fresh burst of tomatoes and herbs.
Kayleigh.
One of my friends and I went to this lovely establishment this morning and had a colourful bowl of acai which was full of flavour and beautifully presented! Will definitely be back ;)
Emma Jane Stubbs
Super busy Sunday morning. Only about a 10 minute wait for a table. Great service, not long to wait for food, not hurried to leave. Delicious food, generous portions. Would love more outdoor setting on a day like today! Indoors is loud upstairs & smells strongly of the kitchen.
Georgie
Cute cafe tucked in Richmond's back streets! We had a girl Gemma as our waitress and she was INCREDIBLE! She had everyone in her half of the cafe looked after, even personal jokes with each of them! Love it here
FOOD TRIP
Very impressed with this little cafe. The set up is welcoming and cosy (seats are super comfy). Service is cheerful and friendly. Food is delicious, organic and healthy. Would definitely recommend. Green Tea Smoothie $12. Matcha Powder, Biodynamic Yoghurt, Banana, Avocado, Coconut Water, Spinach, Chia Seeds, Golgi Berries
Bec Rgrs
Lovely coffee, seriously well thought out nutritious smoothies (including bee pollen!) and a focus on fresh ingredients. A perfect venue for a weekday lunch or a lazy weekend breakfast.
World In A Bite
I'm in love with their acai bowl but very filling! (Because of the nuts & seeds)... All the foods are fresh and healthy here... The staffs were friendly & coffee was nice 😺.
Ashley Barnett
Love my little blessings cafe! The Acai Bowl and Green Omelette with trout is a favourite of mine. Good honest organic food and coffee not to mention the good service! 5+ guys! :)

.......there is a God.
Melbourne Foodie Memoirs
The acai smoothie is delicious! Also had the corn fritters a couple of times which was quite tasty. The spicy pulled pork is actually fairly spicy so it's great for those who like the heat. Will be back.
Darren Borg
This place has never disappoint me, the service has been fantastic and the food delicious, I recommend the chili scrambled eggs and definitely have coffee. The only downfall for us customers is that is constantly busy but that's to be expected.
The Other Jess Tuck
Oh you never fail me, a thousand blessings. Great food and cawfee. Yes, you may have to wait a little while, but the lovely staff are also so attentive and the food is well worth the wait. Plus, you've gotta love a café who dishes out blankies when the weather is a bit chilly. Big fan
D_wat
Best coffee you will find in Melbourne. Really nice staff who make an effort to remember your name and smile even if it's 7am! Lovely food too. Definitely worth trying.
Renata
No lie, A Thousand Blessings is one of my top 5 if not, my favourite cafe in Melbourne.
Known for their popular dish ' Loves Feast' which is what I order every time I go, and will sometimes have to try one of their new sweet options as well.
Staff are awesome and always up for a chat, coffee is great and all round good vibe.
If you haven't tried.. You must!
Dumplings For Breakfast
They are always welcoming and friendly, even when this place is chock full of customers. Whether I've gone for breakfast, lunch or just a takeaway coffee, I've never been disappointed. Very accommodating for dogs if you want to sit outside as well!
Narod Altunkaya
Amazing food, great coffee and great service. You also do not have to wait very long to get a table, unlike many other up and coming breakfast restaurants.
JW
ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL!. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and it's fast becoming a favourite ....!
Food is exceptional - fresh, colourful, organic - service is fast and friendly .... and to top it off, hubby likes the coffee (rare) which is worth the drive alone .....
We were so impressed last weekend, we went back this week and found a new menu - which is going to cause me an issue ...
I now need to try ALL the new dishes !!!!

If the Beetroot and Raspberry cake is there, definitely try it - as long as you can pass up the orange and coconut ....
Ah, too many yummy things!
A1+++++
AnthonyMP
Very well done. I met an associate at 1000 blessings for a meeting on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm. The place was buzzing and we struggled for a table.

Whilst we only had coffee the friendliness, service and standard of coffee was exceptional. The appearance of the food as it left the kitchen and passed by our table was great.

Will definitely be back.
Pviviana876
Tasty corn fritters. Always hits the spot here even though it is on the more expensive side. Coffee is good and a vibrant atmosphere.
Travelling Palate
Very expensive cafe. The food is great here and the staff polite and engaging but the prices are extortionate! $3 for a half full babycino (when this was queried we were told half full is business as normal at this cafe)!!! It's great that the ingredients are organic when possible but that is the case for many Richmond cafés. $3 is the most expensive babycino I've ever paid for- outrageous that this is more than the cost of a 1L of organic milk+
Busywig
Charging an extra $1.50 for almond. get over yourselves. honestly. no good.
Bill Murray
The food didn't quite reach the quality you'd expect for it's price. 35 minute wait with zero communication from waitstaff. Would avoid the 'juices', as they are heavily watered down.
Doux
Friendly staff that remembers your name as well as your coffee order, great food, what else do you need? Favourite cafe in Melb so far!
Jeremy
I've been going here for years and the menu just keeps getting better. All the staff are lovely and they have full integrity when it comes to sourcing the best ORGANIC produce.
Danielm1010
Humble & well done food. A humble place with good food and prompt service. Enjoyed the coffee - will be coming back for more!
Expensive Delicious Habit.
I met my friends in sunny Richmond for breakfast at a delightful cafe called A Thousand Blessings. I chose the green omelette with smoked trout, creme fraiche and greenery bits.
Melbourniangirl
I intend to return here for the chilli encrusted haloumi for lunch at some point in the not to distant future. 9am was just a smidge early… A thousand blessings is a nice local and worth travelling for, why not let a blessing or two into your life?
Melbourne Food Files
A Thousand Blessings delivers a solid menu, friendly service and great atmosphere. Best of all, you can eat with a clear conscious, as much of the produce is organic. With plenty of homemade goodies on offer this food is truely blessed.
Naomi George
This is my "local" and I love it. Best coffee ever! The food is always absolutely fresh & delicious. The staff are friendly and fantastic. The Satay Chicken wrap is my fav - spicy and tasty. Give this place a go - although perhaps not on a Saturday morning when the Gleadell St market is in full flight.
Akm
Bordering on pricey for breakfast but fabulous food and great service. Lovely ambience too!
Melschneider61
Quick lunch spot. Like the chicken and betoot bagel, had just enough avocado which hit the spot. Little pricey but still filling. Great location
Valerie
Satisfied and snug. As we first arrived at the cafe, the weather was overcast, windy and chilly. To our "warm" surprise, there were blankets provided for patrons who were seated outside! Needless to say, we were grateful for the extra warmth and proceeded to start with chai latte and a latte. The latte was satisfying as it contained a light note of roast. We ordered Smoked salmon coupled with well-done scrambled eggs filled with capers, goat cheese and 2 toasted sour dough pieces as well as the house quinoa bircher containing twice-cooked quinoa, mango, pineapple, strawberry pieces, roasted almonds, goji berries and coconut flakes, served chilled. They were sooo good! We absolutely adore the food. Not to mention, the staff were friendly, attentive and patient. Would i visit them again? YES!
Lucy
Arrived to a full restaurant on a Sunday morning, but they still had room for our table for three. Good and coffee both amazing - I had the quinoa porridge and it was delicious. Very generous with serving sizes and extra toppings like nuts, fruit and and beautiful roasted coconut. I'd love to come back and try all the beautiful wraps, salads and cakes in the window. Service was very friendly and eager to please. The only issue was no split bills. Great cafe that i'd love to return to!
Gertrude
Food very average. "Berry" smoothie was frozen yogurt and milk with no real berries. Chilli scrambled eggs were without chilli... And the hash brown stack came with bacon not pulled pork and no feta, both of which were listed on the menu. The hash browns themselves were more like croquettes. I've been here before a few times and loved it but was so disappointed this time. The staff are lovely except for the manager who was rude when we went to pay. Not going back.
Hugo Morgan
Perfect location for a cold Melbourne morning, with delicious food and smoothies. The food is without fault, but it is quite expensive for the serving.
Peter
Been twice to meet friends that live around the corner and not impressed either time. Coffee weak (ordered strong), breakfast disappointing. With all the cafés on offer in Richmond I'd give this one a miss.
Chewly Madly Deeply
Acai Bowl. Not on their new menu but they still happily made it for me :)
Futtani
BAD experience. Good food,
TERRIBLE SERVICE
RUDE and ARROGANT MANAGER
Buddy
Best!. Ahhh i loved this place, was looking forward to coming here after seeing large acai bowls covered in toppings uploaded via instagram and blessings exceeded! my boyfriend took me here for my 21st birthday brunch and we loved it! the place was packed however this did not disrupt service. The staff were so lovely and catered for all our needs and more! My boyfriend decided this place was his new favourite place for coffee! The menu was filled with so many yummy options, ofcourse I chose the acai bowl and it was one of the best, such a good price for such a big serving topped with walnuts, pepitas, coconut chips and caocoa nibs. My boyfriend chose the pork stuffed role and the sausage roll and loved them both. Definately a favourite cafe and definately returning!
Chrissy
Love it!. Been many times and always fab! From the food to the service to the place itself, can't fault it! Highly recommend 'Loves Feast'...delish!
Heatherleitch
Amazing!. A very memorable Mother's Day lunch.
Beautiful food and friendly, efficient & obliging staff, even on a very busy day!
Will definately return.
Megan.gissing
Heaven!. This place is faultless! Whenever I have a catch-up with a friend I bring them here and they also fall in love. The food is so clean, tasty, amazing, very quick for such a busy cafe. The staff are all lovely - customer service is so important to me. I'm not really a coffee drinker so can't comment on that. Every time I try something different food-wise it becomes my favourite! Current favourites are the corn fritters / vegetarian feast / poached chicken and the Alkalizing Hydration Juice. The breakfast wraps are also amazing - especially good for a hang over! I've seen people make bad comments around the rest room (which I've never used)... who goes to a restaurant for that purpose anyway?! You're there for the food, atmosphere, great service and lovely staff.
Ruby-Jean
Fresh x 1000. Yum. This place is so lovely. People. Decor. Food. Location. I love it. Really, fresh and tasty food. They even made up a 'fresh lemonade' which was so dang amazing, I can't stop thinking about it to this day. Order it.
Andrew
Awesome. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I can see why people line up to come here on weekends.
Taplinbs
Love!. Superb coffee and amazing corn fritters! Expect a wait on weekends, but its a great little spot and the food is fabulous! We will be back!
Badabooma
Fantastic. The food here is well presented & tastes as good as it looks!

The English breakfast hit the spot although I'm not entirely sure why there's a cucumber dip served as part of the dish.

Great staff, friendly would certainly return.
Facebook User
Disappointed. Ordered the ricotta hotcakes, was so excited but was shocked when the grilled banana still has the skin on it, so getting it out from the skin caused it just to be mushed warm banana. gross and they were burnt! Mixed juice had not flavour either, and was frozen fruit not fresh which I wish they had told me before. So was disappointed after hearing such good reviews
Facebook User
Its a blessing x 1000. My family love this cafe. the staff are great , the food is great, the juices are great...... everything here is...... GREAT!!!! Two words.... maple bacon. nom nom nom

The gang here are the friendliest at any of the regular haunts I visit. The food is always exceptional (especially the Loves Feast -yum!) and the coffee is consistently great. Always always leave feeling welcomed and with a full belly of delicious organic goodies!!
Redbw
Came here on a recommendation of a friend. Super impressed. Service is the best I have had in a while. Food is delicious if a little pricey. But thats ok service makes up for it. Highly recommend it.
Snoozie
Great little place on a Sunday. True Melbourne style. Good food and super friendly and cheery staff :) highly recommend
Shelley Banders
The only good point of this cafe are the attentive and friendly waitstaff. The negative is the menu and the food. My partner ordered the fig&walnut loaf. The bread was ridiculously thick and dry, ricotta was very subpar and strawberries on a winter menu? If you're trying to be 'organic' try and be seasonal as well. Dusted with powdered sugar - it's not the 1980's. Corn fritters we decent though. Tried this on my partners birthday and was extremely disappointed, we went elsewhere for our coffee. 3/10.
Getaround
What a horrible experience this was! Meals arrive in 1 minute wait for drinks for 25. Cancel drinks, sorry they are already made and then wait another 15 minutes. We then had to wait again. No discount just an experience that ended terribly.
BellaItalia
A Thousand Thanks. Cute little cafe overlooking Citizens Park. Attentive staff, great range of food from the display case, delicious juices, coffee and a good selection of breakfast. Enjoyed our brunch and will definately be back.
Fattpreston
Really Organic?. I think you can tell a lot about this cafe by the way the owner (or manager?) treats her staff. After being seated by a very overly smiley polite woman my first impressions were then shattered by her then barking rudely at her staff, whom i found to be quite attentive and genuinely friendly.

I also have my doubts that the produce here is actually organic? I found the bread very similar to the Convent Bakery's bread which is in fact not organic.

I get the impression that this cafe had the money to install the best equipment and decor that resembles a professional cafe but have not the experience to run the place correctly.
TY
Oddest spanakopita. I'll start off with saying service is friendly and atmosphere cheery.

I ordered the spanakopita with two side salads. It was odd because the cheese was too much in ratio to pastry and spinach, and it was huge like a giant muffin. It was really unpleasant to have so much cheese to deal with. And definitely underseasoned.

The pumpkin salad and beetrood salad was meh-ok.

I'm not sure if I'll go back with such a bad first impression.
Mel
Staff were very friendly and we were seated quickly. Received our coffees quickly but then waited 40 minutes for our breakfast!! Don't think we will be back.
Chippie
Dropped in for a coffee and a sweet treat. Great coffee and the yummiest blueberry muffin! Very busy place but still fantastic and prompt service.
Katherine R.
50/50 are the blessings. Friendly staff if thy are not too busy, though the owner is fantastic.
Coffee is OK and cakes are scrumptious, however the rest of the food is mediocre and overpriced.
Bacon is particularly bad and undercooked and salads are tasteless whilst pretty. Wraps are awful. At the prices they charge food needs to be heaps better to make it worth eating here.
Not worth the trip other than the cakes.
So afternoon tea it is and food never.
Erin Henry
Love Love Love!. I came across this gorgeous little cafe one day and have to say it is by far one of the best little hidden treasures melbourne has to offer. Not only do they serve the best coffe but their all day mouthwatering breakfast menu has never disappointed. The staff have always been very friendly and well educated on the food they are serving. I recommend this cafe to any one looking for an amazing breakfast!
Sophie Gilmore
Deliciously healthy. Beautiful coffee. I loved the eves juice it has a lot of zing. I'd recommend the strawberry and yogurt muffins which were delicious and still warm from the oven!

Would recommend. Had heard about this place from a few friends and I thought I'd give it a try, lived up to the expectation set from them as I was very pleased with my first experience at a Thousand Blessings.... coffee was great, food was great, not only quality but also quantity, I left feeling very satisfied. Staff were charming and accommodating. Loved the atmosphere as well, would recommend it, and will be back!
Courtney O'Hagan
Food is so fresh! They use organic produce. The owner Evelyn is such a lovely woman. Service is always great, very laid back which is a good change from the normal pretentious service in trendy café's! I love it!! Highly recomended! So many healthy yummy options
Mil
Tucked away in the heart of Richmond, this is one of my favourite cafes in melbourne, food is amazing, vast variety of options to choose from appropriate for all kinds of people! Staff are very friendly and attentive.
Skinny Minnie
Lovely little place with lots of personality. The corn fritters are a gorgeous start to the day. Love having a late breakfast here and then popping over the street to the farmers market. Great service this morning & breakfast was on the table shortly after we ordered.
SG
Used to love going here, but no more. The last few times, the service does not happen unless you leave your table and ask at the counter.Sat and waited 10 minutes recently, but I was invisible. I left.
Amy M
Undrinkable coffee. I rarely go out of my way to write a bad review but I got a takeaway soy cappuccino from here and it was so bitter and burnt that I couldn't drink it. My friend purchased a $16 rice salad which was bland and uninspired.
Ren
Got the order wrong. The place was quite cute and very pleasant however when the waitress came to order, she didn't write our order down and repeated to us- (so far so good, she memorised it) My dish was scramble eggs, mushroom, avocado and sausage however when my dish came out it was completely different. (Salmon, scramble eggs, tomatoe, avocado and sausage) I however didn't eat the salmon nor the tomatoe, as its not my favourite especially mixed with sausage.

The waitress came by and didnt apologise but offered to take it back and re-order (but since i was with my friend, I just ate it anyways as i didn't want her to wait around for my dish.) as I got to the bill they charged me for what I didn't order. The manage was very kind and was kind of enough to correct the order and apologised however the waitress did not admit to her fault or apologise- which was disappointing.

Funny enough we went to eat frozen yougurt at another location which is also owned by Thousand Blessings. That was very a pleasant dessert =]
Emma
I'm in two minds here, coffee and food were fine-not outstanding but acceptable. Floor staff were mostly attentive, kitchen seemed incredibly slow however. Decor is great at front section but to the rear its seems a bit out. I like the concept and will give it another try
GemmaL
After squeezing ourselves in amongst prams and small children, we were met with nice coffee. Unfortunately, our waitress forgot to bring out our menus and took a considerable amount of time to return to take our order. The pancake was cold, however the toppings were nice. I don't think a single pancake is worth $16, however. A very overpriced and drawn out experience. I don't think we'll eat here again. Great for a takeaway coffee, though.
Jay
Expensive!. Nice cafe but very overpriced. Am omelette was $19.50! I have never had such an expensive breakfast in Melbourne. I wouldn't mind paying more for something amazing, but this was average.
Nicole Fett Michaels
Had a great breakfast on Saturday morning here. A perfect sunny day was ideal for al fresco dining.
The food was great but so expensive! I get its top quality produce, organic etc but $22 for breakfast because extras are $3-4.50 each is a lot of money. Add a $6 juice and coffee it's a real investment.
Top quality service was a big plus.
Mel
Best coffee!. I met some friends at A thousand blessings. I had no idea about this place but was exceedingly impressed in every way!! Service was amazing. Juice was fresh. Coffee was hot and perfect, very talented barista. The food was good. Overall it was good value,I can't wait to go back!!!
Nicole
Pricey but lovely. I really like this place. The coffee is always spot on, regardless of which barista is working the machine and the food is lovely. It is pricey and therefore I don't go often, but still a winner for me.
Daniel Hillier
Seriously what an amazing place! Great food, great cafe vibe and very friendly staff. I think it was the owner who helped us and she was so attentive, polite and professional.

Great menu, good prices and I'd definitely go back for the corn cakes!!
Jo
Amazing staff and food. We had are mothers group Christmas party there (5 new mums with 5 new babies) and the staff were great and the food was just delish
Brandi
Never disappointed here. Love the fresh, organic, healthy, flavoursome food available here. The Chilli scramble is a favourite teamed with an Eve's Invigorator juice - perfect Sunday breakfast. The salads are also outstanding and the lemon slice is the best I've had. Such a pleasant change from the usual boring grease laden crap on offer in so many places along bridge road.
Mikka Watson
Nothing to rave about. My hot chocolate was like warm, my fig and walnut loaf was dry and toasted to oblivion with a lump of tasteless ricotta on top and my husbands 'chilli eggs' were strangely yellow and lacking any perceivable chilli. Quite disappointing given the price and location.
Walter Collins
It's obscenely expensive. Perhaps priced up to pay for the lovely renovations. It's a great place however. The food is a hit, coffee is well made and the interior is fab. But it just doesn't justify the price. It's really overpriced for what you get. Unjustified and unsustainable. $79 for 3 of us with coffees, bacon eggs and a few sides.
Samantha Qi
The price of the food here is definitely not reflected in the quality. I understand that it's probably the organic ingredients that makes it so, but it doesn't always pay off. Food was bland to say the least and service was horrible.
Birdman
Had an acai bowl which was one of the best I've had and good size too. I don't like the inside though as you sit on tables which are basically joined so it's like sitting on a table of 4 with two strangers... good food so will go back but maybe takeaway
Lady In Bread
Look, for Richmond the place is great. And I'd heard great things about it from people who have lived in Richmond their whole lives. Went with a friend with an intention to liase and lounge and read the paper. The place was so busy. Richmond prams and practicing mums everywhere ramming their huge oversized baby carriers everywhere, which was an instant turn off. Ordered a beautiful vegetable juice with cucumber and sage and pineapple and carrot. Fresh and totally yum! The chilli eggs w/ sundried tomato and proscuitto, pictured below, doesn't mention you get a whole punnet of half seared baby tomatoes, because if it did, I wouldn't have ordered it. I don't like tomato. But sun dried, yeah ok. That'll pass. Anyway, tomato juice everywhere on my plate, my friends Corn Fritter dish was particularly ordinary and definately not worth the $18.50. The staff are a tad outter suburb and weren't really overly concerned about us. They were clearly understaffed. And perhaps we waltzed in on a bad day. But I won't be eating there again. But will definitely go back for a tea/juice if I don't see a scary conglomerate of children in children movers with front end loaded shovels.

My saviour. I have a young baby and Thousand Blessings is my local cafe that I often visit when I need to get out of the house! The staff are so friendly, especially towards children. The menu is tasty and varied with lots of organic and healthy food and some lovely treats. The blueberry pancakes rock! The coffee is great and there is a wide selection of other drinks, great smoothies too. The only down side is there is no change table in the loo, probably a good thing as I would stay all day! A lovely local spot opposite the park, my home away from home!

I ate a gorgeous organic beef burger w/ perfectly crispy chips paired with a creamy banana smoothie. The restaurant was room & and so were the staff. 5/5

Nice Place. Our party thought this place did a pretty decent job as we were a "difficult" party with which they had to cope.
A table for 8, two of whom failed to turn up. Two pairs "sharing" a plate. A baby's capsule. Certainly not routine customers.
All in all they coped marvellously and didn't mind so many sharing so little. The staff were attentive, informative and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.
The food was great and the coffee, whilst not my prefered brew, was better than average.
I will certainly return. Keep up the good work.

Corn fritters are the best I have had. Great coffee. Service needs some attention.

Good solid breakfast at an inviting venue. Service a little clumsy however totally forgivable as the staff were lovely!!

A great little place. This is a terrific little cafe, great homely feel, wholesome food and probably the best coffee I have had in Melbourne....

Definitely a mixed bag. After reading the reviews I had pretty high expectations but I was severely disappointed. My meal of poached eggs, gluten free toast, mushrooms, spinach and tomato was the worst I've had in Melbourne. One egg was over cooked, one was basically raw, the gluten free bread wasn't even warn let alone toasted, the mushrooms were dry and the spinach was still dirty!! The juices were nice though:-)

Still Charming. Used to come here quite a bit when I had early morning appointments in Richmond and it never disappointed. Good to see that even after extensive renovations it still maintains its rustic charm.
Daughter 1 had poached eggs on corn fritter which she promptly went into raptures over it. Daughter 2 had blueberry pancakes with poached pear, maple syrup and icecream. She was so busy tucking into it I couldn't get a word out of her. I think she liked it.
Wifey had poached eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce which also got the thumbs up. I had a simple poached eggs on toast with bacon, also very good.
The drinks were pretty amazing too. there was a crushed pineapple and mint juice, a banana smoothy and an iced coffee. All particularly yummy. Definitely worth the trip.

Burnt coffee!! Disappointing takeaway coffee.

Really cute cafe nice setting and great decor but the food was overpriced and really disappointing. Only ate because I was starving. Tried 2 different dishes and both were average. :( very disappointed

Rob. I think its sensational. Great, healthy food and good coffee. I wish Melbourne had more organic cafes like this

Fantastic, great service and very enjoyable food. Best cup of English Breaky tea in Melbourne so far. Strongly recommended.

Beautiful set up at the cafe. Corn fritters w salsa is to die for. Would love to try the french toast next.

Delicious fresh juices, well-designed & flavoursome breakfasts, and the cakes? Every visit has been a thousand times blessed.

Sublime Salads. A foodie friend of mine invited me to A Thousand Blessings and it was fantastic. The service was attentive, my soy latte was great and the selection of organic salads was without a doubt the best I have ever eaten. Am a local from next week and will certainly bring my family.

Coffee burnt, "chilli" scrambled eggs with no chilli, more butter than egg and burnt toast, pancakes covered in no-name brand vanilla icecream. And prices exactly the same as all the places nearby that are a thousand times better.

P-fresh review. Actually, "meh" is PRECISELY a situation in which "enough said" is not "enough". "Meh" means nothing. Your post is nonsensical

Meh..... Nuff said.

Just lovely!!! great coffee, great food... We'll be back!

Freash, orangic and health, a calorie counters dream! Don't come here if your looking for grease! Great coffee (which they roast themselves) and good for lunch but boring food for breakfast

Could sit here all day!. On holiday from Adelaide and was taken to A Thousand Blessing by a cousin - now my favourite cousin.
Beautiful decor and lovely staff.
The breakfast options were great and I loved the fresh fruit in the water!
Some things are a little pricey but it's far worth the quality.

I love this place!

Zen venue. Really love the venue, vibe, decor and the food, and the fact you can hang around for a couple of hours without them staring you out! They'll tell you the cake recipes (all made in house) if you ask nicely!

How cute!!! Lovely coffee, friendly staff. Nice relaxed street, so much nicer than the bustle of bridge rd. I will be back for sure.

A THOUSAND BLESSINGS. The place is amazing, could not fault the decor, the staff or the food. The food was awesome and the best fresh juice I have ever had.

Feeling organic?. The scrambled eggs were mind blowing. LOVED IT. Beef sausages were also out of this world, totally homemade, totally tasty and as healthy as sausages can get. The spinach could be cooked better and the hollandaise sauce would have worked well with a bigger pinch of salt but hey, to each his own huh. I am a massive fan of the dutch potatoes and cannot praise the homemade mayonnaise any more.
Full review can be found: http://lickyourlips.wordpress.com/2010/11/16/hello-world/

Great food, a solid breakfast option. Slightly more expensive than a lot of others, but that's what you get for organic food. Staff are adorable. Decor is eclectic and homely. I love this place, but must admit that the coffee is certainly not Richmond's best.

On holidays from sydney and took family there. Great organic food, excellent staff and service. Staff were very helpful after my son spilled a carrot juice over their restaurant. Recommend the pesto muhrooms with 7 grains bread.

Deliciously comforting

Blessed. I've been a regular at this place for the past year. Every day my coffee is superb! Consistantly the same high quality each day no matter who is behind the machine.

Friendly service and great food. Might cost a little more than those along Bridge Road but its worth it. You know the produce is fresh.

Their freshly baked muffins in the morning are the BEST!! A great way to start your day.
Kathryn
Perfection!. What a great experience at 1000 Blessings! Great food, perfect coffee, friendly staff and an open fire place ideal for Winter. A great all round cafe!
Hanna
Feeling Blessed. Apart from having Richmond's best coffee and a great organic menu, 1000 Blessings also has great staff that leave you feeling blessed everytime.
Rachel
I agree with Matt: overpriced and underserviced. Strange interior design makes the place feel confused and uncomfortable. Naff crowd.
Matt Pearce
So overpriced, poor service. Coffee is decent, but overshadowed by the $19 eggs, which were average.

Delicious! The Red Door Cafe has delicious food & great healthy options with good coffee too. Worthwhile stopping in!
Jon Yeo
Great Organic. Cosy venue. Even if hard to find (unless you are looking for a Red Door) has great food and a friendly atmosphere. Organic too!

I don’t remember much about this place, apart from the fact there was absolutely no chilli in my omelette, despite it being a listed ingredient in the menu. Hence this is basically a post where the photos do the talking.
