Review Noda Grill - Richmond

Jess M
What a little gem on Bridge Road! This is one of my favourite places to visit with friends in Richmond! The staff are friendly, attentive and very welcoming. The food is delicious and my favourite is their japchae and fried chicken! Good wait times for the food to come out and the prices are fair! Gotta love that there is also a choice of BBQ in another section of this restaurant. Will be back soon and keep up the great service Noda!

Fabulous place to eat delicious, tasty, Korean food. The staff were lovely and it was a beautiful environment to sit back and enjoy a wonderful banquet. Each mouthful contained magnificent flavour combinations that made our evening full of delectable surprises. And we had a vegetarian shared meal selected from a variety of choices and the entrance is suitable for wheelchair access.

Well, what can I say?! One of the best Korean places in town. Very nice and quick service, good Korean beer, and amazing Korean BBQ and food. Try the plates for two (or more), and you won't regret. Also order some starters to share. Full of flavour, high quality and a wonderful experience to share with friends and family.

Great, tasty and fresh food. We had a combination of ready cooked food and Korean BBQ on our table. Highly recommend the sweet potato noodles. Visited on a Tuesday night. It was acceptably busy. Not byo alcohol but great selection including imported dessert wines. Customer service was spot on. Kudos to the team, 3 members on the floor, one chef and everything was smooth, the ladies even cooked our BBQ.

Went here for lunch. The place wasn't too busy and has nice quiet atmosphere. Ordered the kimchi fried rice and korean fried chicken feast (8 pieces). The fried rice is not bad but the pork belly is really sparse. I almost thought there's only rice. Also is not that kimchi-ish (sour and spicy). Might be to accomodate people who are not used to kimchi. The fried chicken is good but you might need to order a bowl of rice to be filling. Price is not overly expensive but not cheap. Staff was great and attentive.

Great korean restaurant in Richmond. The waitress was easy to communicate with, and she helped to explain the full menu to us. The restaurant had a fair few diners, and was very modern on the inside. The prices were resonable. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with steamed white rice, and the beef BibimBap. Even though the teryaki chicken with rice was a lunch meal and looked small, it was very filling. The spices in the chicken was excellent. The beef BibimBap was also an excellent tasting dish. Both meals came out quickly. I would recommend this restaurant, and I would go back again.

Amazing food!! Korean at its finest. Service was impeccable, Jinhee is just the right amount of attentive and is super nice. The restaurant fit out is very cool with beautiful artwork and unique bronze Korean bbq drop downs. Highly recommend.

Literally the best Korean food in Melbourne plus amazing vegan options, staff were beyond amazing and the restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe, there's nothing not to like about this place!!

I had such a fantastic experience at Noda, from the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so knowledgable! I was blown away by the food and how authentic it was and soooo tasty!!! The owner took us on a true culinary experience! (We let them decide what to send and we just sat back and enjoyed). The price was so reasonable too! And To top it all off, the wine was great by the glass. Overall we had a great experience at Noda and would recommend it highly to anyone. Looking forward to try the rest of the menu!

Made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in by friendly and happy staff. A great menu which I will work my way through over future visits. This is a great addition to the 3121 food scene.

A delicious and swift lunch menu! I tried 'the big tray' and it was fantastic. The service was really friendly which made it easy to ask questions on dishes I hadn't come across before. I'll definitely be back and I can't wait till they start doing dinners next week!!!

Great service, and the BBQ food is recommended. The set out of the place is very cruisy.

the worst restaurant in melbourne. I ordered through doordash. While they accept the order online, they are closed... this is scamming money. then i asked to the customer service. they said they dont open and no one accept orders. where is my money and order??
Iris
The restaurant was fairly empty on Saturday when we went for lunch, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, also the staffs were attentive. Had the beef BBQ set for two and the amount of food was more than enough, very generous servings. The meat was nice and tender, for the price paid it's totally worth it. Dumpling salad was spicier than we expected, but we really liked the sweet and spicy Korean miso paste flavour. The lettuce served to wrap the meat was unfortunately not so fresh, as you can see the surface wad brownish, however we didn't really need it so it's fine for us I guess. The drinks can be improved as the soda was served to us warm (room temperature and the ice cubes melted immediately), but after adding more ice it was okay. Overall we were satisfied with the meal, with the zomato gold discount it's a must try! 👍
Sue
I loooove premium set!It is the best choice for 4 people, and maybe even more. All you can taste of Korean BBQ is there. Definitely will go back!

You.Must.Eat.Here! I have never reviewed anything before. We are foodies and took our girls for dinner. It surpassed all our expectations, every dish was perfect, could not fault the service, great music. All I can say is. TRY IT!!!
Nancy Shang
Nice food, reasonable price, friendly staff,
especially lunch special. We love the KFC (keroan fried chicken) , the kimchi pancake is very authentic and beef bulgugi is wonderful ,very recommended 🥘, we definitely will come back to try the BBQ Set,which seems cheaper and nice🥩 , compared with the other Keroan BBQ
Jerry
A pleasant enviro with very good customer service. The decor is nice and modern. A wonderful place for friends to have some food and drinks.
Derrick Lim
Ambience is bit too yellow, everything seemed to be too translucent. Beef set grill is great but is a bit overpriced for me as the la galbi are all bones which is a bit disappointing as you have nothing to chew. Scotch fillets are the best next to bulgogi as its tender and flavorful. The japchae is a bit chewy. Fried squid entry is o.k. nothing special. Service is fine, not great, there are lots of things for improvement.

First time visiting this bbq place, really nice food. Good presentation and really tasty side dishes. Sweet and spice Fried chicken are fanstatic. Really recommend

Cosy and warm . Fantastic service! Delicious food! Specially love the bbq beef ! Korean style chicken wings ! Highly highly recommend! Best in the area !
Wenchaoxian
Highly recommended! Delicious barbeque with loads of different side dishes and veggies, the biggest portion of a bowl of steamed rice I've ever seen. And in the end, so much cheaper than what we expected from what we've eaten and drunk. So far our favorite Korean BBQ place in town. Can't wait to go back.
Yuqi Ji
Nice food and good services here. They are the only one 🇰🇷 bbq place will cook the bbq for you. Highly recommend 👍. Bbq pork belly. Chicken wing,Mama soup must try
JOELLE
Chill korean eatery on Bridge rd.

The place is really cute, there's a bar in front and bbq tables at the back. There was only another customer aside from us and it was really quiet, but there's music.

The staff was friendly though she was alone behind the counter and at times it was hard to get her attention. Food came after a reasonable wait.

The vegetable pancake was pretty good, it was on the thick side but still pretty crunchy, bit smaller compared to most korean places and the sauce needs to be bit sweeter.

My babsang was great. The pork with gochujang sauce was flavorful and cooked with vegetables which was nice. I do think the sauce was a bit too thick so it was bit too salty. I liked the side dishes and the staff kindly let me have another serving! Lettuce was fresh and rice was nicely cooked.

My sister had the soba salad and she enjoyed it. Came with some fried vegetarian dumplings too.

Overall we had a pleasant experience and food was great.

(Follow for more! ✨)

xx、joelle.
Noda Grill is one of the few places that still offer a charcoal Korean BBQ experience. With fresh, quality ingredients and an amazing charcoal flavour, this was one delicious BBQ indeed.
Maddie
I had a great time here with my dad, it was his first Korean BBQ and he loved it. The staff were lovely and happy to chat about Korean cuisine. The interior is nice. I would recommend booking in the back area as that’s where the BBQ is.

Feed me is so affordable, fulfilling and delicious. These guys deserve so much recognition. So authentic. This place has a great ambience as well
Quince And Cheese
Noda is one of my new favourite spots! I had a delicious dinner there the other night, consisting of fried rice cake, japchae, steamed rice in lotus leaves, corn cheese and a fried dumpling salad. The dishes came quickly, each one better than the next. The flavours paired beautifully. I left so satisfied. My only complaint is that the waitress could have waited a bit longer before checking back in to take our order, but this small issue is negligible compared to the great experience I had at Noda.
Josh Lomax-Jones
I went here lastnight with my partner and mother and I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic. The bulgogi was cooked to perfection, as was the pork. Furthermore, the place itself is wonderfully decorated and felt so welcoming. I couldn't recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back again.

Vibes were really cool here- nice decor and good layout of the store. Service wasn’t amazing, but the food was awesome. The Chili friend chicken was awesome & also the cream caramel
Wine And Food Lovers
Pleasantly surprised at this find. Decor was good but felt there was more atmosphere at the back of the restaurant.
Staff were good but could have explained the menu a bit better.
Food was fresh & tasty.. a couple of dishes couldve benefitted from a bit more spice. Feedme option was a good one.
M Eats Alots
Food was average but service was shocking. Our plates taken prematurely and we were rushed even though we were one of two tables and it was nowhere near closing time. After saying no and asking the servers to leave our plates still with food on them for the fourth time I had to ask if they needed us to get out because they needed the table back. I won’t be visiting Noda again.

Lovely Korean grill restaurant with fantastic food, friendly service and cool fit out. The owner was so gracious and helpful, she was able to guide us around the menu. We started with sweet potato tempura and kimchi mayo (yum) followed by the regular KFC feast (large available 16pc) with a mix of two delicious sauces (honey mustard / garlic), served with an assortment of tasty sides. We also tried the spicy pork (my fave) with rice, not overly spicy and really enjoyed it. This was all accompanied by traditional Korean corn tea which was almost like fragrant liquid popcorn. We left really satisfied. We’ll definitely be back to this little gem to try our hand at the Korean BBQ Grill.
The Go Go Mumma
Friday night is family night, trying to figure out where to go was a slight dilemma as I had not ever eaten in Richmond, so I had no ideas on where the best spots were. After a few failed attempts in my suggestions. It was decided that, we’d stroll, see and eat - (dine at the first restaurant we stumble across)

One word Zomato feigns... NODA is perfection. Everything was delicious. NB. I don’t have any other Korean meals to compare to as this was my first Korean fest. None the less, ea. dish served was clearly created with pride and care. Every dishes flavours were on point. The waitresses were beautiful and friendly, which just amplified our dining experience.

Bonus time folks! Our total bill for 3 adults and a small human was $120. Which is a big plus in my books. So when your on Bridge Rd and your tummy rumbles, get to NODA stat!
Lauren
Went here for the first time last night, and what a great addition this is to Bridge Road. There were four of us and we decided upon the Noda me option, which at $35 each was amazing value!! We had a starter of Korean pancakes, which were delicious little self assemble pancakes, then perfectly cooked Korean Fried Chicken crispy and moist chicken. After this was a large serve of glass noodles and then a beef veg and pork veg dish complete with lettuce cups to wrap the tasty meat in. The serving sizes were perfect and the service was wonderful, they were always there but without being intrusive, then when we thought it was all over they bought out a ginger custard, fantastic ending to a great meal and all for $35!! They also have a good beer and wine list with a decent range. So people, do yourselves a favour and drop into this little Noda gem before it becomes a place u need wait for a table.
Centerpiece
Great little Korean BBQ joint with really nice decor. Pretty good value for money - the BBQ meat servings were pretty large and delicious. Wide range of beers / wines / soju too - not your typical limited alcohol list.

What a shame it is tucked away on the quiet side of Bridge Road. Definitely recommend it to others and we'll be back too!

Had a great lunch here last week, with attentive staff. The sweet potato was so yummy, 2 servings please!. Loved the bibimbap beef, dessert was nice, although the kimchi pancake was not what i expected, think it had cheese in it? Overall, would recommend and I would come again to try other dishes. Maybe try the Korean BBQ for dinner after seeing the exhaust fan above tables.
Johan K.
Great place, friendly service, peaceful and relaxing for lunch.
Must try the bibimbap beef, delicious. Sweet potatoes to die for, had to order more.
Will come back to try the rest.

This place is definitely underrated considering the price, decor, ambiance & service–and most importantly the food. Not only they are beautifully plated but taste amazing without compromising authenticity. Will definitely be returning to try the BBQ
Binula
Great Korean BBQ spot! The place is set up very nicely with a great sense of ambience.

I had the Korean fried chicken with the cheesy corn - both delicious! They also had a great range of soju and rice/plum wines which were delicious! Will definitely be back to try out more!

We went there on Tuesday night looking for Korean dinner night out. We had try several Korean restaurant on Victoria St but want a new local eatery. We saw this little cosy place along bridge road. Friendly staff and yummy food. We started off with calamari tempura and seafood kimchi. It was very tasty and I love the way they cooked it, wasn't too oily. We had grill Pork set after. It's accompanied with lettuce and dipping sauce. Would def return again. Beautiful decor.

Amazing BBQ and amazing staff . 10/10 ✌🏼👌🏼. The meat was very tender. Noda me deal is pretty good. They feed you the best Korean food ! Will come here again

Amazing! I absolutely love Noda Grill! Great decor with really lovely staff. I was really impressed with the great range of vegetarian options. I ordered the fried tofu with greens in a chilli paste with rice. It was really flavoursome. Also tried the noodles, sweet potato noodles and tofu which was really good. We tried the three sisters Korean wine and then chose the plum wine. Loved it all! To finish the night we had the ginger infused custard. I would highly recommend a visit!
Ket
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! we had a wonderful complimentary pancake. The portions, however are small.. but they were cooked very nicely. Especially the beef, where it was medium rare. So it just melted in your mouth nicely.

We took 19 local Richmond food focussed friends to Noda Grill on Friday Night and the visit earned enthusiastic feeding and feedback and the service earned respect from all who attended. We chose to all go with the set menu. I myself enjoyed the variety of courses - particularly the Lucky Seven, the Beef Bulgogi and the desert which sparkled up the tongue to enhance my satisfaction with the meal. Great decor - smart, modern and feels authentically Korean. A big thanks to Jinhee and the staff.
Matthieu Bel
This is the best Korean food that i have had in Melbourne! The whole experience was fantastic, staff were so friendly, wine was perfectly paired and the decor was beautiful. We were a table of 6 and all loved the experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great night.
Don'tMessWithMyFood
We went for the Noda Me option, being a party of 4. More food than we expected. Starters were small pancakes, then Jap Chae, ample meat - first BBQ pork in entree size wrapped with lettuce leaf and garnish, and the mains was satisfying!
Will go back! Noda Grill - Nod-A-Bad idea 😊
Whatdoyafeellike
Loved everything here! We had the "Noda Me" set menu. We started with the Lucky seven ; pancakes with seven different condiments. The pancakes were fun and delicious when we wrapped everything up together. This was followed by the Japchae noodles -first time ordering this and was also really yummy. Next was Korean Fried Chicken and the main, Korean BBQ. The meat had a nice marinade and all the sides for the Korean BBQ were really tasty. At this point we were very full, but luckily the Watermelon dessert was light and refreshing. Service was super friendly and overall really enjoyed the food ☺️

Don't understand why this place averages 3.4. Excellent food, great service, clean restrooms. Standout dishes include Japche and grilled pork baby. Do not hesitate to give it a go, you won't regret it.
Cassie Brereton
I had dinner here last night after hearing great reviews and as expected the food and service were amazing!!
Noda had a great atmosphere with a large menu selection also catering for my vegetarian requirements.
I don't usually write reviews but felt i had to for this place, definitely check it out!

Lauren Grace Jauncey
The food is delicious, the staff are so lovely and the restaurant is seriously cuteee! This place is a must try 😍 I will definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem! $35 set menu is ridiculous for what you get. Started with the DIY pancakes which were amazing, the seafood fritters which were so delicious then onto a noodle salad and meats for main. On top of that you get a dessert too. Service is lovely and I would definitely return.
Michael
Had dinner there with the family and loved it. We all had the Noda Me and it was fantastic. Plenty of freshly prepared dishes with pickles and sauces. BBQ was really good. Happily recommend.
Went here for a family members birthday and had the banquet menu. The food was expansive and delicious, and the service was even better. The lovely waitresses were very patient in explaining the food and how is best to eat it and were also very accomodating of the one member of our party who was vegetarian. Thoroughly impressed and we all agreed we would be heading back!

Lovely new addition to the dead end of bridge road.
Best spicy pork I have had out side of Korea!

Side dishes are always complimentary in Korean restaurants but are never of the highest quality!

Noda Grill has the best side dishes, all homemade and very tasty!
Will be coming back to try the grill section of the menu.
ᴠery homie and comfort food but also very refined and beautifully executed. Friendly and kind customer service.
We had a heaps of food and the bill was nothing too..
should all check that out.

I went there a couple of nights ago and try the menu Noda me. Which is a selection of dishes from the chef-d'œuvre only $35. From the beginning to the end the waitress was really helpful and explain us the dishes and the traditional way to eat them. They give attention to the details the presentation is great and the taste is there also. The decoration is really nice and stay simple (I love the lighting in the top dinning room).
We had a great night and we will definitively come back. Thank you Noda!!!

This place offers something different, something unique. The food is very affordable and tasty. Staffs are super friendly and helpful as well, I have already made multiple visits with my friends and family members.
They all loved the traditional Korean decorations and drawings on the wall, this restaurant is a great place to spend your night. I deffs recommend.

Glad to have a new regular go-to for work lunches! Have visited multiple times already and enjoyed each meal, having been impressed by the quality of food, service and setting. Special mentions for the friendly manager Jin Hee and the restaurant's excellent decor - altogether elevating the dining experience above several other restaurants (not just Korean ones too!) in town. Will definitely come back to try the dinner menu sometime!
Mathew Macartney
Fantastic food, decor and value. The service is attentive and welcoming. Wishing this new little restaurant all the best for the future we will be back

I've been to this place 4 times since it opened not too long ago. It's absolutely amazing! And something that can be really hard finding these days is consistency, but it's really been consistently superb. I've been a couple of times with my partner, once with a smaller party and today we were 8 of us. We had the Korean dumplings to start with, which are my favourites!! As well as some chicken wings, creamy corn and rice-fingers. To follow, we simply asked the waitress to organise our lunch. She organised some amazing starters and mains to follow. A must try is the Bulgogi which is a Korean style beef wook/stir fry, with a bbq/smokyness to it.. We also had a Pork dish with kimchi and soybean paste (i think) which is my new favourite! To add, all of us in todays party work in hospo, and obviously really enjoy good food, service and ambiance, and this ticked all boxed! We also had a korean girl in the group, and she too was amazed! I feel happy as i was the one recommending the place for todays lunch :) Definitely coming back very soon... thank you NODA

Ambiance + fit out + service + (more importantly) food....my partner and Ioved this very classy little place on our first visit. The most stylish Korean restaurant we've been to in Melb...and we've been to plenty. We live just around the corner and now no longer have to walk to Victoria Street for great Korean food.
Bobby
Very nice place, great food and ambience. Mainly need to say about the manager jinhee, she's amazing and looked after our table very well. We really love this place. I recommend this placd to every one. They put there heart and soul in what they do. Loved it. Thanks guys you are amazing.
Amy Ilana
Best Korean cuisine I've eaten in Melbourne, each dish we tried was incredible and the staff were lovely, they explained the traditional way to eat dishes with the accompanying sauces and sides. Kimchi pancake, japche, bulgogi were my favourites. And the cinnamon and cardamon iced tea is a must try! Big ups to this place will definitely come back.
Forrest
Been wanting to try this place since it opened and wasn't disappointed. Service was fantastic and always presented with a smile and the food was delicious. Worth trying... especially the fried chicken!
Cherim Byun
Great atmosphere and service, the food and plating were amazing.
The menus were creative, far different from some of other typical Korean restaurants around the town.
Will be returning this weekend for another feast!
Victoria Millan
We stumbled across this little gem by accident! And what a fantastic accident it was! The food was fantastic, the meat was so tender and perfectly cooked and the sides were amazing! Not to mention the wine! They have put a lot of detail into this menu with great food and amazing drinks. The owner came over to chat to our table too and gave a really personal touch with great recommendations! We will definitely be back.

Very pleased! There are not many Korean restaurants in Richmond and I am really glad that this place opened. I came twice for lunch. The first time, I had the spicy pork bibimbap which was one of the best I've had around Melbourne. Juice of the day was super tasty too (carrot, orange, ginger, lime). The second time, I had the salmon (good quality and was perfectly cooked) served with a spicy salad and traditional Korean side dishes. Was divine!Overall, this restaurant has a great and warm decoration (absolutely love the lanterns!), very nice staff, tasty and well-plated dishes. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely come back for dinner and try some of your BBQ dishes.Keep it up Noda Grill!
Yeji Kimb
Beautiful place , nice food , friendly staff !
You should try Lucky seven with 3 sisters!
It was something different from other Korean restaurant. Love this place

I found awesome korean restaurant in Richmond!. I tried Bibim Mandhu and Noda's lucky seven "wrap it up" as a starter. It was so unique and yummy. For the main I had Spicy pork and Chicken Katsu. The Spicy pork comes with "Ssam" which is different kind of lettuces. So i can wrap it with Spicy pork. It's so nice. The ssam makes it so much different. And the Chicken Katsu is crispy and well balancing with the sauce. Foods and concepts well matching. Gorgeous staff. Great value. The Noda Grill is a great place. A really fun meal, best spent with friends!
Rob Harrison
Wow, pleasantly surprised. Super tasty and healthy Korean cuisine and friendly staff! Recommend everyone to come and try! If I could rate higher I would!

One of my favourite Korean restaurant in Melbourne. Food was delicious and service was outstanding. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Mandy
Vibrant ambiance, great service and real authentic Korean food. A lot of love has been put into the design of both the decor and the selection of produce. Noda Grill is a place to catch up with friends and family, or to enjoy a casual office lunch. Highly recommend you pop down for your next Korean BBQ craving.
Magali
Great place, amazed by the decoration when we walked through the door, the food is delicious, fresh and very tasty, it has a traditional side with a modern twist . Wish good luck and success to the 2 amazing Korean women who own the restaurant.
