Maria is amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy & great vibes. She goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and happy and enjoy your dining experience, even customising each dish to what suits you best. Food is great! Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Maria! Keep up the great work.

We had chicken mushroom risotto and homemade gnocchi. It’s always big portion and feed us up well. Price is reasonable especially for lunch time. Chef Maria is so kind and lovely to talk. Staffs are friendly too. I will definitely come back here ❤︎

Wonderful atmosphere, attentive and welcoming staff, generous portions and absolutely delicious food. Even with the football going on the staff at 14 Bridge made certain we had everything we needed. I don't hesitate to recommend it for an excellent and filling dinner.

Came in with my family for an early dinner. Absolutely beautiful little place with amazing food and service. The owner was friendly and very welcoming. I'd explained I had just gotten out of a medical appointment and she didn't make me order food or anything. The cheese selection was amazing.
Lilith Succubus
Very bad service and also very bad food no taste at all very basic Italian food no quality just cheap quantity and also I saw rats running around the backyard and the other day my friend found a long black hair on her pasta very disgusting! I highly don’t recommend it at all
Greg Creighton
Top notch friendly service, and top notch food. I love a good pasta and cannot fault the consistent quality. It's a must try. You won't be disappointed👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Service was amazing, food was amazing, and the 2nd best burger I ever had!😋
David Hill
Really good value menu of classic Italian pasta and mains. Nothing fancy looking, but good tasty meals, and great desert specials. Delicious.

I am so full right now! What an amazing meal as late "walk ins". Scrumptious pizza shared as entree, amazing fresh pasta for mains (marinara & gnocchi) then the highlight - Maria's fantastic crostini dessert that came with a mini espresso martini!! OMG best dessert ever!

Fourteen Bridge was an Italian/pizza/pasta restaurant. We had the fettuccine carbonara and garlic focaccia pizza, and both came in huge portions. The fettuccine was so creamy with its generous carbonara sauce (you were even given a spoon for it!). The herb/garlic focaccia pizza was so fragrant and balanced out the pasta. With their wooden furniture and fitout, Fourteen Bridge felt warm and friendly. Overall, it was a great casual lunch/dinner option - especially if you come in big groups.

Dined here several times during the week over the past year and was very disappointed with the food. I was invited to dine here before a football game at the G and was pleasantly surprised. Supreme pizza was on point, burger and chips were spot on, in fact the chips were excellent.

Just wanted to say how great Maria and her team were for a work lunch I organised on Friday last week. She was extremely approachable and organised when pre-ordering food for a prompt lunch upon our arrival. I had a few tricky last minute changes and she was sensational with accomodating these, achieving a great lunch that everyone enjoyed. Great food and great service!

Amazing family friendly super affordable homestyle Italian in a perfect location for a pre-footy meal. Service is quick, portions are big and food is superb! So get around this place and enjoy a bowl of pasta or pizza then get down to the ‘G’ to watch the footy!!

Lovely ambience and staff. Food quite disappointing. Went for dinner with a group of 6. Pasta okay. Pizzas very poor, soggy. Salads didn’t taste fresh and were drenched in sauce. All of the seafood and veg tasted cooked from frozen. Sadly won’t be going again.

Lunch Special Menu - The staff are wonderful, the food is magnificent and the service is second to none. The pizza here is great; a nice thin base with the perfect amount of toppings. The salads are delicious. I've never had a bad experience here and they are more than happy to modify the menu items.

Came here on a public holiday before the footy. We were greeted with lovey customer service and our orders were taken promptly. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. The gnocchi melts in your mouth and both sauces were delicious. The chicken schnitzel burger was probably the weakest of the three meals and the schnitzel was a tad dry. Other than that we were very happy. Would definitely come back

Mixed experiences here,

Pasta always drowning in sauce and an overload of pepper every time! The red sauce is rather tasteless and unseasoned, whilst the white sauces are riddles with too much pepper.

The pizzas are delightful, great crust and base portions and toppings are lite on but tasty!
Nat
Big disappointment. Pasta was over cooked and drowning in sauce and oil that just wasn't very pleasant to eat. We were in and out in under an hour and felt very rushed for an empty restaurant. Won't be going back.

Fourteen Bridge was half the price of high profile Italian restaurants visited recently and was much better. Marinara was exceptional. The service staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the home style food and great service. Will definitely be back again.

Unfortunately did not have the best experience. Went here on a voucher. The antipasto platter was visually not appealing at all, and it was average at best. I had the scotch fillet which was undercooked and absolutely drowning in a plate full of peppered sauce which was very overpowering. However my partner had the chicken mustard which he thought was pretty good. Looking at previous reviews it seems the place is known for the woodfire pizza so perhaps we ordered wrong... On a plus, our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Well worth a visit. Very friendly staff and good service. The food was fantastic, good size portions. The Spaghetti Marinara was a standout. We will go back.

Lots of possibilities here ....

Went for lunch today, top (City) end of Bridge Rd, spacious, nicely set up, was a bit quiet for a space that could hold 100+ seats, only 2 other patrons apart from us. A few reminders on the wall for this Italian casual modern "trattoria", pleasantly served by two French waiter & waitress.

Full bar and their house wines are commendable.

We've had the Fish of the Day and Fettuccine Amatriciana.
Fish was well grilled (lightly cooked). lots of salads, although chips wasn't seasoned and would probably prefer something else for a nice fish dish.
Fettuccine was well cooked, al dente, sauce was spot on, just too much it drown those pasta, a little less sauce would be perfect.

Overall, enjoyable lunch and it has lots of possibilities, thanks Chef.
21/10/2016

This place is our favourite Italian place in Melbourne. My husband and I love the food at 14 bridge. Good quality and fantastic flavour . Everything is fresh and has that homemade touch. I can say best Italian food in Melbourne

A week in Melbourne, stayed in a funky little cottage just off Bridge Road for a change and this place was just a 10 minute stroll away. It was also one of the only few open places after the footy on a Thursday night, so we decided here it would be.

Between us we ordered the lasagne and penne calabrese. Both were delicious -with the lasagne ending up the favourite for us both. It was beautifully made and almost as good as Mum's (and not, she's not italian but she does make a mean lasagne). We actually fought over the last forkfull of this. The penne was also delicious with generous servings of olives and just the right hit of chilli. All washed down with a bottle of house red. In all a really pleasant dinner, late on a Thursday night.

I ended up also ordering a take away pizze from here on my last night too - just a good old standard ham and pineapple. Again this was good value and well cooked. A lovely light pizza base with plenty of topping. Perfect for munching in front of the telly after a busy day.

I am back in Melbourne often, certainly plan to "live" in Richmond again on our frequent trips and I can see Fourteen Bridge seeing us again.

Beautiful Italian-aspired restaurant with wonderful, accomodating staff. Love the open, lively ambiance. Wonderful place to grab a bite before going for shopping on the famous Bridge Rd

Meh. Pasta was small for 18 dollars... Pizza was good but nothing spectacular. Need 140 characters sooooooon stalling. and still stalling...
JW
Okay, I think this is where I went wrong - I ordered a seafood risotto. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this dish one bit. It was very gluggy and unfortunately not up to par with the standard quality of a risotto.

I may return in the future however I will certainly make sure to order the wood fire pizza next time. Others have commented positively on the quality of Fourteen Bridge's pizza so I feel it is definitely worth a try.

The staff are quite friendly and they have a decent wine menu.

We did go back to Fourteen Bridge Road Restaurant for our Pizza and drinks and it was delicious!

Local Gem. This place always delivers the goods - the food is authentic (as in REAL authentic Italian thin pizzas with fresh toppings), service is FANTASTIC - Maria genuinely cares about her customers and greets me even when I'm just walking past with my Saturday coffee.
Chris Blacklaws
Friendly and helpful staff, we were short on time and the meals came out quickly with a smile. Had the steak and peroni Wednesday special and it was well worth the price

Love This Place!!!. The food here is amazing and Maria the owner takes much pride in making sure not only the food is right, but treats her customers like dear friends.. I will always come here for authentic Italian food and service!! Highly recommended!!

A good quality local pizza. Nothing too fancy just a good quality wood fire pizza. Had the meat lovers minus the onion and an Aussie which was good. Will be back 7.5/10

Authentic Italian Pizzas. After walking past this place a million times we came here to meet some friends. Wow - the antipasto plate and the pizzas were unbelievable. I can't believe this little gem of authentic Italian food had been under my nose all this time. Well priced, casual atmosphere and outstanding pizza.

Come here often with my partner. Service is always friendly and pleasant, and the lady who I think is the owner always extends a warm welcome and farewell. Food hits the spot - pastas and pizzas are tasty, dependable, satisfying, homely and a good size. Perfect for a meal after work when you want an easy, no-fuss wholesome meal. The menu seems to have quite a good selection as well. A local favourite.
Napsrosie
Food. Unfortunately a very bad day! Poor Service waiter on her own and 1 hour and half later with 3 customer served after us getting meals before us. Not good!!!
Leena
Good pizza.. Had a nice early lunch at Fourteen Bridge on a quiet Thursday. I found my potato pizza to be very tasty and the lunch special deal (including any soft drink) to be good value. Nice Italian food at a very reasonable price.

Excellent voucher experience!. My partner and I visited Fourteen Bridge for lunch as part of an all-you -can-eat voucher deal a few months ago, and so got to try quite a few menu items on offer.

All of the pizzas and pastas we tried were great! Simple but delicious food made with quality ingredients - just what I was hoping for. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and our overall experience was very positive. Very much looking forward to going back and enjoying their delicious food again!
Teema
Liked it!. Good quality & delicious pizza & pasta. Staff were friendly. Food was on time.
Bought all you can eat pasta & pizza deal first time. Loved the place & now whenever I feel like pasta it's my first choice.

Regarding to the review of Anney Archer, stating about the voucher... I purchased one voucher and the menu was clearly stated what the voucher was entiyled to. The waiter clearly explained the same choices what was on the voucher..The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. . I will definitely come back..

We used our Ouffer Gift Voucher for lunch yesterday (Wednesday). Voucher stated: 'Three Course Lunch or Dinner for Two People including Two Entrees + Two Mains + Shared Dessert + a Bottle of Wine $97'.

Waiter told us we could only choose from Bruscetta 1 or 3 for Entree.
From the mains choice offered, my partner had a medium meat lovers pizza and I had Linguini Marinara. For the shared dessert we asked for Tirimusu, but were told we could only have Sticky Date Pudding, though all desserts were listed at the same price.

The Ouffer offer should have stated - Entree: Bruschetta. Mains: Pizza, Pasta or Risotto. Dessert: Sticky Date Pudding & Bottle of Wine. $97.

Will not return.

Could not fault. Utilsed a Ouffer Voucher Friday 8th March for lunch at this venue (turned out to be extroadinary value for money). Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Regularly came to our table to ask if everything was OK, filled water glasses and topped up our wine. Food was equally as good in fact we both loved it all, could not fault. Calamari Entree was suburb - fresh and melted in the mouth. I had the Linguini Seafood (olive oil base by request) for mains, which was delicious. We finished off with a shared Tiramisu desert - the best that we have ever tried. One extra nice touch was that the staff replaced cutlery and napkin at the finish of every course (these days we have found that seldom happens). Top marks all round. Highly recommended. They do have BYO wine only at a corkage cost of $10 per bottle which is reasonable. Will return.

Stick with pizza - they are great. But rest of menu should be given a big miss! Spagetti overlooked until gluggy- medium Rare steak barely touched the grill and had to be sent back. Agnolotti sooooo overlooked that filling became part of sauce and the whole thing looked like soup. And at the risk of sounding too masterchef - seasoning is non- existent.

Wait Very Long for Service. It's a real shame that the service is soooo slow and it was a Monday night.
Wouldn't say it's worth the money for a very ordinary "Italian" restaurant. Just go to Lygon Street..
Emmanuelle Deloménède
My new favourite Italian restaurant :) The food was fantastic, we had pizza and pasta - both amazing. Nice, cosy and low-key place with excellent service. Already thinking about my next diner there!
Teresa
Fourteen Bridge Italian Restaurant. My family went for our voucher pasta and pizza. We did not know what to expect. I can say it was absolutely beyond what we expected. So much food, top quality and excellent service. Will eat there again. Thank you
Kreston
Service was fantastic, both waiters were friendly and went out of the way for us.
The pizzas were on the good side of medium quality foods, dough was not good enough to make the excellent pizza category but still good enough.
Will go back if im in the area looking for food.
Nancy
Went to fourteen with vouchers in a group of six. Service was fantastic, food was delicious, staff extremely friendly. Can't wait to go again. Thank you fourteen

Good lunch deal. Work nearby and have tried it for lunch a few times. The pizzas are pretty solid, and had a large pasta marinara as well. Can get pizza or pasta and a soda for $12 I think.
Theo
Fantastic Food. Have eaten here on at least half a dozen occasions and would have to say that i have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The pizzas are fantastic, as is the pasta. It has become my go to place for a pizza fix.
Well worth a visit, especially if you manage to land one of their frequently posted meal deal vouchers on the net.

Just got back from a fantastic meal at this lovely restaurant .. My partner and I had a voucher and were not too sure what to expect from these 'meal deals ' so to speak - this far exceeded our expectations..the waiter was efficient and friendly .. And the food was very tasty and extremely flavourful we had the parmigiana was no different to ones i have had in Italy ..this is a great promo I think , as we did not know about this place before but will certainly return on another evening . For all you complainers about this place.. Best stay at home :)

Goog good good kitchen

I.m italian and this pasta it.s really good!!!pasta e pizza buonissima!specialmente gli agnolotti!:)
Christopher James Moodie
Good pizza, disappointing service, DREADFUL pasta.. Had dinner there tonight. Certainly wasnt expecting much, just a cheap n cheerful midweek dinner.
My partner ordered a pizza and I ordered the Agnolotti. The pizza was good, nothing special but perfectly fine for the price. However the pasta truly was a joke.
The pasta was ridiculously overcooked - to the extent that I couldn't even pick it up from the plate with my fork. The whole thing just tasted of sickly sweet pumpkin, which was in huge chunks. The plate was just a mound of overcooked mush all minced together.
However, the most disappointing point of the evening was the discussion I had with the owner afterwards. I didn't want to make a fuss about the meal, to be honest I couldn't really be bothered after the day at work - just wanted to go home. But when I was asked at the till how the meal was, I answered honestly and said it wasn't very good at all. I said what i thought of the meal. The girl went out the back and got the owner.
She told me she was surprised that I said it was 'off' because it was just made earlier today. I told her I didn't say it was 'off' but it makes sense that it was made earlier today because the pasta was seriously overcooked. She said that she has to make it earlier in the day to cope with the rush (really? what rush? i couldnt see one.). Isaid that also the pumpkin was in huge chunks and that was all i could taste to which she responded 'well its meant to be rustic and Im not a fine dining restaurant and that is how it comes.
In all, I would have been completely happy if she just accepted my comments but it went on for another few minutes of her just basically responding defensively to anything I said. At the end of the day, they asked ME how my meal was. If you don't want to accept feedback, DON'T ask.
Go to Roberto's further down Bridge Road.

Great Bargain. We went there for lunch with a voucher. Service was most friendly and efficient. Food that we had consisted of a shared entree of calamari and then mains of a gnocchi dish and an eggplant parmagiani were both excellent and generous portions with a nice glass of wine and a soft drink. A pleasant lunch at a bargain price. We will return.

Grea pizza. It was go, go, go in Richmond before the big game of Geelong v hawks. Managed to get an outside table. We ordered pizzas only and were amazed with them. Fresh ingredients and an excellent base. Not oily or dry and not over cheesed like so many others around town. Highly recommend for pizza particularly the salmon pizza. Recommend!
Silvia Sk
Nice pizza. Highly recommend the pizzas here. The meat lovers pizza was extremely tasty and I am not normally a fan. It was really fresh ingredients, not too much bbq sauce and a fantastic base. Also the S.Francesco was a winner with me.
Speccy
Went here at random with a voucher, and it was sensational food! Bruschetta was perfect & flavorsome, Pizza was out of this world & the pasta dishes came with generous amounts of topping & sauce. My new favorite Italian!

Pizzas are very nice, particularly liked the Calabrese. Lovely, fresh flavours, attentive but not pushy staff. All in all a pleasant evening.

Great food. Friendly place. Had one minor issue with one of the meals and they rushed to replace it. Very impressed.

Fantastic. Have been a few times now, service was great and staff friendly.
The foods was very nice and we got served quickly. We had a group of 12 and no probs food arriving on time.
We met owner very welcoming lady. Totally recommend for enjoyable atmosphere and perfect before or after footy matches at the MCG as it's walking distance.

Nice Pizza.. Fourteen Bridge has a nice ambience and really fresh pizza's as well as friendly staff. Had a very tasty pizza here twice, nice thin crust and fresh toppings, definitely worth a go.

Excellent food and average service no complaints with our pasta and pizza but that elderly gentlemen mixed up our order like always with another table, after many visits got a chance to see chef...wonderful person and possibly the owner who made us feel very comfortable we enjoyed our visit and will be go back
Emily Hudson
Awful service! We arrived at 6:45pm and by 8:15pm had only had two pizzas delivered to our table. The salami pizza had maybe half a piece of salami per slice, the service was rude and couldn't understand basic concepts such as "Why is our pizza order taking an hour?". It was not busy, but it was Thursday night and they only had two waitresses working. The food was okay but nothing you couldn't get at any other pizza restaurant in Melbourne, of which there are hundreds. Average pizza, exorbitant prices and rude waitstaff. Will not return.
Traceym
Not so nice owner with bad food. I paid good money and bought a voucher for a four course dinner for two. The voucher has an expiry date of 9 August. Today I rang for a booking and was told by the female owner that they are NOT going to honour the voucher because "it is a few hours too late, tough luck".

It appears that the owner is not a nice person, as such, it surely can't serve nice food with friendly services.

Dinning there sucks!

Tracey

A feast!. The place has a nice ambience and the good was great! i like the lasagne with the abundant topping of sauce!
JAAMS
Disappointingly below average. The service was good with the bubbly waitress. We were seated without delay. The restaurant itself was basic but still comfortable. But as for the pizza's themselves, utterly disappointing. They actually looked very good but its all pretty much down hill from there. They really lacked taste. No flavor at all. Boring & bland. We ordered three different types of pizza's and all three lacked any real zest. I have actually eaten better tasting pizza's at La porchetta. Really was disappointing.

Fantastic meals, great atmosphere, great service, best pizza I have ever had. cudo.com.au has brought me here twice and I am biting my nails for a third try.

Good pizzas!. I've been to 14 Bridge twice over the past month. The first visit, a group of 4 of us went and ordered 4 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes for the table to share.

The pizzas that we ordered were medium sized portioned (7 inches), but there was a lot of toppings on them! Very worth it! Price-wise, it's equivalent to what you'd pay at Lygon St (for a medium sized pizza), but the ones prepared at 14 Bridge were freshly done. I would definitely recommend the marinara pizza - it's one the best I've had. Simple, yet sufficient. The crust of the pizza were to my liking as well - thin, but crispy and thick enough to serve as a base. Oh, and avoid the satay chicken pizza. I'm not sure which part of it was "satay", as the sauce used had only the slightest hints of nuts (it was more of a sweet sauce than anything else).

However, the pastas were just average. They overdid it with the sauce, but were still edible.

On our first visit, the wait staff were incredibly rude, slow and quite frankly, discriminatory! The 'healthy looking' blonde that served us didn't fulfil many of our requests. After we ordered our drinks and mains, we asked for a bottle of water - which we didn't get until we asked again. It took several attempts to get her attention (her usual "please wait" look was a bit overly done - especially when there were less than half a dozen other tables with diners), and when she did, the bottle could only pour for 4 small sized cups before it was empty again. She didn't bother to replace the bottle, and we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes to get her attention again either. Instead, she rather chit chat with the table next to us (who were of European heritage as well) and had a laugh for several minutes, until we walked out of the restaurant.

The elderly gentleman (possible the owner?) looked a bit worse for wear, being responsible for serving the drinks. A bit aloof, he was unable to remember who ordered what (there were only 2 of us at our table at that time, and the restaurant not even packed).

Fortunately on my second visit to 14 Bridge, the wait staff were all different (and that's a good thing). We were shown to our table by an unfriendly guy of South Asian origin. I was not of a fan of sitting next to the staircase where the butts of the diners from the table above us were next to my head. So I spoke to another waiter, who was gracious enough to let us sit elsewhere. He's a friendly guy who cracked a few dry jokes - all in good fun!

Overall, I would come back here again based on the ample parking available nearby, decently priced food (Lygon St equivalent, minus the 30 min search for parking!) and fresh ingredients. Just don't expect much from the service though!

6.5/10
