I live right behind Cuppa and go in regularly for convenience. They are really hit and miss and unfortunately too many misses recently. Today I waited 10 minutes for 2 coffees when they weren't overly busy and they were totally burnt. There were some new people behind the register so I get that they're training but that doesn't mean I should expect burnt coffee at the end of it especially as they cost $9

Good coffee but absolutely ridiculous wait times. For the love of god put an additional staff member on. 3 times quicker in any other adjacent cafe on bridge road

The food here is phenomenal! I had the "Mushroom break" chilli scrambled eggs and garlic mushrooms on Turkish bread. With a turmeric latte. Best thing I've had to eat and drink all week!

Awesome place, an absolute oasis on a busy street. Discovered it by accident, lovely vibe and lovely staff. Wish I could have stayed there all day!

If you would like to feel uplifted, you cant go wrong with this beautiful cafe...Everything is so invigorating...the cheerful souls who keep you great company, the food served with so much love n passion, the positive ambience, the inspiring wall quotes..above all the feel-at -home feeling...!!!! Hard to pick a favourite from the menu.. Turmeric Latte, Cardomon Coffee,Spicy Pancakes,Oatmeal Porridge are some of the extra delicious ones..!! Absolutely love everything..a huge fan of their Long Black as well..!!

The tea was delicious, the customers and staff were all happy and nice... and yet the club music ruined the entire experience. Drinking soothing peppermint tea while listening to songs about stripping down chicks, wanting women's bodies and what some guy wants to do with his slow hands is NOT relaxing.

Veggie foodie heaven! Finally a place with something different and delicious! AND amazing caffeine free hot drinks! You can feel (and taste) the love in this place. It's special.

Yet another amazing brunch sesh here! The coffee was so good, I'm now regretting that I didn't get one to take away . The Mushroom Break was another highlight...was feeling adventurous and replaced the eggs with tofu and weirdly enough didn't miss the eggs at all! Yum yum yum!

You walk into Cuppa Tea as a customer and you walk out as a friend. Dipti is an amazing woman, business owner, mother and cafe entrepreneur extraordinaire. You cannot go wrong with eating at Cuppa Tea.

Love the hipster feel of the cafe. Great coffee (decent price). Friendly staff. Quick service. Ordered Hell-o-me and wasn't disappointed. Portions are filling.
The Cafe Queen
Shambolic seems to the mode of operation here. I ordered a (small) takeaway soy magic w. 1 sugar. For $5.20 I'd expect at the very least, it was made properly -- perhaps with a man-bun donning hipster.

Instead, it took 4 minutes just to place the order, another 6 or so to receive, while the lady completed writing a novel-length order, while the guy, enrapt by the intricacy of the teaspoon he was scrubbing, tunneled his attention on that. There was just one other customer who had already ordered before I did, mind you.

Coffee was burnt almost beyond salvageability - missing sugar - which, I hate to be a stickler but is a pet peeve if requested. For takeaway coffees, if it's not added by the barista and stirred properly while being made, you've either got to go back once you notice, add the sugar yourself and ask for a stirring instrument or be stuck with what was in this case, something I questioned the drinkability of.

Externally it emanates a rustic warm feeling, true of the first room, but venture deeper into its cavernous depths and you'll find yourself in a dank room worthy of a BDSM dungeon, surrounded all sides by concrete, partially astroturf lined floors, basking (or not) in the heat of a radiator propped up on a crusty table.

Food appears to have remained questionable from the one and only time I've eaten here.

Dropped in to pick up a quick coffee and a snack, ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Didn't notice until I'd left that it was untoasted - who doesn't toast bagels? Was awful.

Coffee was decent. Not incredible. Barista didn't know what the term "single origin" was referring to. She was very friendly though and the coffee blend was well made .

Was here over the wknd, i can only rate by the very short visit - located on bridge rd, very hipsterish cafe. Simplistic menu, patchwork chairs with very rustic exterior and interior. Not cheap but very standard prices about 4bux coffee and 7-8bux smoothie. Service was ok. I got the avolux smoothie which was essentially avacado and vanilla and ice. Tasty but took 10mins to make unfortunately.. so service was slow..

Came here for a nice Sunday lunch with my husband. Beautiful home style cafe with a comfy feel. Loved the cool swinging chairs, chalkboard and books available to read. Food was lovely and definitely tasted like everything was made on site. I ordered the avo and hummus on the gluten free buckwheat bread, and my husband got the halomi and avo salad with Turkish bread and a chocolate milkshake. Fantastic service and a beautiful cost setting.

We ordered Cuppas Benedict, Fritters, waffle and they are fantastic with great favours and the freshness. A note, the waffle has chocolate chips in it. The milk shakes were great too. Coffee were just ok, no hot enough nor strong enough. However, turmeric and cardamom favour are awesome ideas. Thank you heaps!

Great neighbourhood quirky cafe with lovely, tasty vegetarian food. Coffee was great too. When in the area, we'll certainly be back. Tks to a voucher by Scoopon we now have a yummy eatery to go to in Bridge Road.

What a cute hidden vegetarian cafe in Richmond! The interior design of the cafe is very interactive as the walls are chalk boards, allowing you to write uplifting messages and comments on there. We got the cuppas benedict and fritters. The fritters were very small in portion and it was very bland. The cuppas benedict was amazing! The mushrooms and spinach were seasoned very well. Eggs were perfect. It tied so well together. We also got the lychee and strawberry milkshake. The lychee milkshake was really refreshing.
FOOD TRIP
Cuppa Tea is cute little cafe on Bridge Road that definitely has a homey feel. The patchwork chairs are super comfy and add a great splash of colour to the whole cafe. Menu is a bit limited on the brunch options, but their drink options are extensive. Food is simple and drinks are good. Lychee Milkshake $5

Located on the desolated wasteland of the once populous Bridge Road (the front stretch filled with shops with "For Lease" signs, not the back stretch with eateries popping up like bunnies), Cuppa Tea exudes a homely and inviting ambiance with its warm interior and wicker/wooden furnitures. Staffed by two friendly ladies, we were patiently guided through the ordering process as we were using a Scoopon voucher. The cardamon coffee caught my eye, and I was glad I took the risk and ordered something out of the ordinary. It was a bit spicy, a bit herbally, and a bit nutty - a very warming and calming drink. My partner went with his usual skinny latte, and gave it a passing mark. The menu was meat-free, with minor tweaks to traditional cafe favourites. The avo and hummus toast and chilli omelette were kind of bland; could benefit from a bit more seasoning or spices to enhance the flavours and liven up the dish. Simplicity was its downfall, there were nothing that wowed our tastebuds. If we do return, it would be for the coffee and service, but we will skip the food.

It has potential, a lot of competition around though .....

Went for brunch on this former Mecca of warehouse shopping esplanade, parking was a challenge, but it wasn't that bad close to Christmas, thanks to City of Yarra council for supporting the small businesses.

Soy Latte was okay, on trial as they are upgrading their coffee beans, good work.

On the food side, the brunch menu was small but okay, small portion, good composition, wasn't well made, overcooked poached eggs, it could be better.

Interior wise, two parts; front and back. Take the front, brighter, where the action is, the back is a bigger space but rather dark, not enough natural/artificial lighting, in general pleasant and enjoyable, especially those patched bucket chairs, just not in front of the door, too much wind draft from Bridge Street.

Watch out for those established competitors.

A nice and peaceful place. Went by there for coffee and the Cuppas Benedict and both were very tasty. Also tried the turmeric latte and found that it wasn't to my tastes (maybe I just don't like turmeric lattes though). The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food did take quite a while to arrive. I had to go refill the parking meter halfway through brunch as the original hour I'd paid for turned out to be insufficient. Still, I'd consider going back again if I'm in the area and aren't rushed for time.

Bought a scoopon for this place, Great staff and great coffee but the food was average..Portions were small and food was ok in taste. We upgraded our coffee(which the waiter told us upon ordering that we have to just pay the excess amount i.e $2 but the manager or owner decides to charge the full $5.20, which did not make sense. I buy a lot of scoopons but this was the first time it happened with us..Never going back

I stumbled across this cosy café when I was famished after a busy day of warehouse shopping. I thought to myself, I deserve a cuppa-tea ( pun intended ) after a long day and here I found myself in this cute place.

Cuppa is a cafe/restaurant located in the inner suburbs of Richmond. Tucked away in a corner, this outlet has an unique and delicious menu that is very light on the wallet.

My friend and I had hot buttermilk pancakes with organic maple syrup, chilly cheese toastie and a nutty matcha shake.
The bill came up to a very affordable price unlike the typical Melbourne brunch rates and the presentation and delivery of food was extremely impressive. The decor and ambience of the restaurant just take it to a whole new level ! When you walk further into the restaurant, at the back there exists an open area filled with chalkboards, books to read and hanging chairs to relax in (pictured below) and it's truly an amazing experience unwinding here while munching on some yummy food.

I would definitely like to visit this place again and recommend everyone to go too :D

Really enjoyed my lunch here today. Got the shakshuka eggs and the sauce was amazing! Lots of spices, not too greasy and perfectly runny eggs. It was accompanied by a good amount of delicious fresh buttered sourdough. The restaurant is vegetarian but offers lots of great vegan choices too (you can get the shakshuka with tofu, which I might have to try next time). I also got the matcha latte which was alright; I did appreciate the fact that they didn't sweeten it much if at all so you can add sugar yourself to your liking. Anyway, would definitely come back here again and try something else on the menu.

Went here with friends for lunch. The food was absolutely stunning - healthy, fresh and delicious! Also tried the brownie which was made in the morning and the best I've ever had! The service was great and the new owner & staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend it!
