Review Nepa Bliss Cafe Bar Restaurant - Richmond

Great atmosphere and friendly staff including reasonable prices. Servings are big and they take in account if you are after variety of options and mild dishes.
Tom
Great Nepali food and friendly staff. The staff recommended a few great dishes. Momo is very nice, so are the curries.

Great service and yummy food. It was a bit too cold inside, needed a bit more warmth. The food did warm us up though. We've been there 4 times now. I had Lamb Biryani. It was the best Biryani I've tasted. Definitely be going back again.

Really delicious food. Their pricing for the area and type of food is pretty good. I got korma, and it was one of the best I had. The ambience is amazing and it makes the food all the more enjoyable. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend it to try.

Wonderful food and great service. We choose a selection of entree's which were fantastic. Great flavours and a little kick in the right places. Will absolutely be going back for more. Inexpensive for the quality of the food too.

Nepa Bliss is amazing! It's my local go to. Just around the corner from me, reasonably priced and super friendly wait staff (who remember me when I walk in the door). I've been here many times and will come again. Do yourself a favour. PS: their butter chicken is out of this world

Ordered a curry, rice, naan and papdum through Ubereats. Firstly the restaurant gave the wrong order to the driver. When I rang up the person he was apologetic and said they would make the order again and deliver it. Second attempt to deliver the food and the guy went to the wrong address. Once the correct meal arrived after waiting 2 hours it was cold and soggy. We ordered a curry that was $15.99 and only received 4 small pieces of chicken. Poor service, poor food, will not return here again

Went there with my friends. Tried Onion bhaji, chicken momos. For main course tried eggplant, shahi paneer, prawn curry, lamb curry, chicken saagwala with rice, cheese naan. All dishes were well prepared, however paneer was little too sweet for my liking.
This place offers BYO so enjoy wine of your own choice.
A good place overall with easy access to public transport :)

I came here w a mate last night. I haven’t been to this restaurant for a while now and it’s been renovated.

Another positive is that the service is still outstanding, friendly and polite.

We shared a banquet of chicken which was sooo tasty and perfect. We had some goat curry which is on the bone and absolutely delicious!!

The vegetarian lentil dahl was really tasty and balanced everything really well. The yellow rice was good too and everything worked.

For dessert we had a which was sweet without being overpowering and it finished off the meal really well.

If you like Burmese style food or if you are yet to try something different then this place is a must visit. And it is still such great value 😊

What an experience! Pity the place was almost empty when I walked in. But I left with more people walking in!

The food was delicious, got the pan friend momos, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala and the cheese naan and kheema naan.

Food was 4.5 stars and service was as well. Can’t fault the great ambiance and just wish they pick up and get more busy soon!

Nepa Bliss offers a wide variety of Nepalese dishes with heaps of veggie and vegan options. I came here after a long and very stressful day, and the restaurant offered just the comfort I needed.

I ordered a feast of momos, Madras aloo bhonda (potato and chickpea fritters), rice, cheesy garlic naan and eggplant curry. The flavours of each option were great and paired really nicely- especially with the complimentary papadam crumbled over top. These momos weren't round like others I've tried and also had a thinner skin. They weren't what I was expecting but still tasted nice.

Because the food was pretty heavy, a plain naan may have been a more appropriate addition than the one I opted for, as it was really oily. The one criticism I have is that the curry was pretty small for its $15 price tag. Otherwise food and service were great.

Amazing saffron rice and perfect roti. Fresh and delicate. Highly recommended. Wonderful service. Do try it. Wonderful flavours and expert presentation.

Craving for momos and this was the nearest place. But we did not find the momos very nepalese. The chilli momos had more of tomato sauce than the real gravy and the steam momos were also not very nepalese in taste. Sorry, but wouldn't be visiting again.

We stopped by Nepa Bliss after a shopping stop at IKEA in the area to pick up some light dinner. We did a takeaway of potato-stuffed samosas and the Nepali speciality of steamed chicken "momo" dumplings.

Without exaggeration, these were the best samosas we've had in Melbourne so far- fried fresh, the skin is crispy and light and not oil soaked or heavy as in the case of stale samosas. The filling is flavorful and you can taste the masalas. Came with a side of tamarind and sweet dipping sauce for a total of $5/ for 2 samosas.

The momos, at $10 for the box of 10 dumplings, were scalding hot (freshly steamed). The mice chicken filling was well cooked and eating these momos reminded me of days spent travelling in India i.e authenticity.

We are planning on dropping by to try the main courses soon!

I don’t usually write reviews but we just had a fantastic dinner here so it felt necessary! We ordered the set menu, which was amazing value and delicious!! The staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating of our dietary requirements. Despite the restaurant name the majority of the menu is Indian... and it was definitely the best Indian we’ve had in the area!

We had dinner there on Tuesday and I cannot speak highly enough of the food, the staff and the ambiance. The food was tasty, well prepared and presented beautifully. The staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming. We went with a Groupon voucher, and received five-star treatment. If you've not tried it yet, you must. It's worth the visit. We will definitely be returning.

I've worked very near NepaBliss for around 2 years, and have often walked by wondering whether or not the place would be worth my time.I ordered the basic Nepali Chicken Curry as I haven't spent too much time exploring Nepalese food, and really enjoyed my purchase. It was rich, tasty and filling. The naan was crispy and fresh. and complimented the dish fantastically. The chicken was portioned generously, and there was plenty of rice to go along with the curry with the lunch deal.(It wasn't quite as spicy as I would expect a medium to be, but that's the only critique I have.)

I have a 30 minute lunch break, and this doesn't offer me too many choices for sit-down meals. I talked to one of the friendly staff here who gave me a few suggestions and assured me the curry would be out in 10 minutes.
Sure enough - 10 minutes later I had a hot curry in my hand, ready to go.I can say that I will be trying to head down there about once a week from now on.The food is tasty, speedy and reasonably priced - A great selection for any sit-down meal or hurried lunch break.

Came here for something different, unfortunately the lamb dish was extremely tough( The no 1 on the menu) . To be honest I had to check it wasn't beef, I still reckon it was though! The roti bread was thick. I explained to the staff about the dish so was given a free pistachio dessert which was a frozen block, think it was suppose to be ice cream? Initially said he would take some off the bill but instead got a $10 voucher for next time. There won't be a next time, don't say you will do something then do something else.

I'm editing my review.. this place is awesome -great Nepalese! Lovely staff service. The roti was well cooked. The goat curry was the highlight (so tender & rich), & the fish curry is excellent as were the freshly made momos. What makes me think this place is a hit & miss for some options was the vegetarian korma. Despite its "fresh vegetable & dried fruits" menu description, the veggies tasted flavorless, like the frozen type & the curry itself looked had zero flavor & there were no dried fruits. ..
On the plus side, none of the curries were oily. It's a win if u want a cheap, lovely dinner (but steer clear of the veggie korma) + byo (at $4 per person)

We ordered Momo, Poleko Chicken, Nepali Chicken curry, Naan and rice for delivery. A gentleman delivered our order with smile which was the perfect start. For entree the Momo was fresh, soft and juicy. Poleko Chicken has a lovely tandoor flavour and the portion was generous for half a chicken. Definitely the highlight of today's dish was the Nepali Chicken curry. We have not had Nepalese food before, but we were impressed. The curry had a great aroma and complex flavour that was neither heavy or oily. Overall, we really enjoyed the dishes. Will order again. Thank you.

After visiting the Nepalese Dumpling Festival, we thought we'd extend the Himalayan experience further. Did a search for Nepalese cuisine and came across this little number on Bridge Road. Based on the good reviews, we decided to give it a try. Understand there's heavy influence from neighbouring India in Nepalese cuisine and upon a quick survey of the menu from other restaurants, this place offered the least resemblance to any other Indian restaurants.

The steamed momos were nicely spiced, bitey and flavoursome. Though personally I'd preferred it to contain slightly more fat content (more fat content means more 'bounce' with each bite). Rest assured they are much healthier than the Chinese ones. We also oredered a serve of the Peshwari Naan (pictured below) - naan bread with filling of dried fruits and nuts. Tasted awesome on its own. Next were the curries. We went with the goat curry and balanced with it a fish curry, Nepali style. Totally recommended the goat curry. Super tender meat and the curry sauce wasn't overly rich. Smashed the meal with extra servings of rice!

Great flavours, very friendly service and a really enjoyable place to eat. The momo are fresh and flavoursome the curries have a nice kick of spice without being overpowering but you can order hotter if you want. Everything is a party in your mouth would definitely recommend this place of your in Richmond and are looking for somewhere for lunch or dinner

A touch of exotic on bridge road with the tantalising cuisine of nepalese fusion and service par excellence. A must try ... specialy the amazing 3 course dinner on Mondays!!!

What a fantastic find!!! Hubby and I haven't had really good Nepalese for a while. Today we had chicken choila, steamed chicken momo and goat curry with rice, raita and garlic naan. Soooo good! The balance of spice and flavours was perfect. We will certainly be back! Thank you.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and finally got the chance to go last Sunday with my boyfriend for lunch. We ordered the Nepali chicken curry, chow mein, eggplant curry and rice. I have been to Nepal twice and so I have had my fair share of Nepalese food and this place definitely did not disappoint. It was almost, if not better than the food I had in Nepal (I only eat at local places). The curries were full of flavour and don't taste as oily or creamy as Indian curries. The chow mein was full of chicken and colourful vegetables making it look extremely appealing as well as taste delicious. There was a bit of a mix up with the bill with the rice we ordered but the owner/manager said he would not charge us for rice next time we went. I would definitely recommend this place. We will be back to try more of your dishes. Looking forward to trying the momos!

Simple and delicious. Excellent roti, delicious eggplant curry and a great sauce with the goat curry. Even a rather nice salad with the entrées. Cheap banquet deal on Mondays.

Beautiful curry. So far the best curry I've had in richmond. Flavours were exploding in my mouth, spoon after spoon couldn't stop eating even If I was fairly full. Couldn't decide if it was the beef malibu or nepali chicken, or the mixture of freshness and chunkiness of the cha raa or the simpe naan was hitting the spot...they were all delicious...so hard to stop. A struggle at first with the menu but all worth the wait. Friendly staff and price is good.

Local staff and a passionate chef have revamped a previous Nepalese franchise, and it's an absolute gem!
Best value for quality on Bridge Rd, hands down.
The momos, cheese and garlic naan, lamb curry.. the lot!
Awesome eats with reasonable price drinks and fantastic staff. Definitely worth a go.. Weekly!

Pretty unassuming place that is nothing fancy looking like lots of new restaurants but the food is fantastic. Everything was super tasty, Momo (Nepali chicken style dumpling) Chicken Makkhani which is like. Utter chicken is amazing.... it was a great! Great service and good value.
Sweetlikesugar
Have walked past this place for years (even though now new restaurant).
Did not disappoint. Momo's (dumplings) were delicious and fresh, they had just handmade them.
Chicken Makkhani (similar to Butter chicken - but not so creamy) is absolutely amazing. Flavours absolutely smashing!
The cost of the meals are really reasonable $10 for 10 momo's, Chicken Makkhani ($12). Probably won't get cheaper on Bridge Road, and the quality is spot on.
Definitely a new local on the list!

Not a place I would usually go to but I've walked past ghurkas a thousand times and was always curious and when they spruced it up and changed the name I thought it was time... I wasn't disappointed. The steamed chicken momos were unbelievably fresh and so flavoursome as was the butter chicken style dish. Also had a lamb curry (maybe korma I think) along with some of the best roti I have had... just when I thought it couldn't get much better... $5 BEERS 🍻. Not on sale that's just how much they were, great friendly service too

The food here is really good. I had great service that asked how the meal was. I had the mixed non- veg entree which was a great variety and very tasty.

Main was an eggplant based dish with some bread and desert to follow. Style is similar to Indian - not as greasy.
