Review The Waffle Press - Richmond

I love this place. The coffee is good, friendly service and nothing beats a cheeky mid-morning waffle. The vibe is also very cool. There is something funky about having a coffee while watching the dryers spin, machines wash and air hockey tables get played.

I ordered The Leige with just chocolate and icing sugar and my goodness what an amazing taste experience! with the dough made in-house. Great chat with the lovely owner who has great passion for cooking amazing waffles. Coffee was excellent served with wonderful customer service and great conversation.

Found this little gem when walking along bridge road. Tried the waffle with icing on top for original flavour, it was so fresh and tasty! Staffs are so friendly and this place is dog friendly too . I’ll be back for more!

My favourite cafe. Came for the laundromat and stayed for the amazing coffee, waffles, bagels, and staff! See you again, tomorrow!

I am a bloke with cravings. Dunno why I craved bagels today but into Google maps I typed out my desires and to The Waffle Press it directed me. I'm glad it did! Service was very friendly and excellent. Fast. Professional. Everything as asked for. Food was great. Bagels were fresh and soft. Range of great filling choices. I had a pot of their french Earl Grey tea and it's probably one of the best brews I've had in a while. Yep, it's hidden in a laundromat, but that just makes the overall quality of this place and it's experience that bit more magical. I'll be back for bagels.

I would eat here every day if I could. The bagels and coffee are excellent, and Amelia always goes out of her way to make a vegan option (they've also recently added a vegan chicken bagel). I've never met with such friendly and hard-working business owners - we are greeted like old mates every time we step inside. I strongly recommend making The Waffle Press your regular - the experience will put a smile on your face every day

I love this place. Tucked into the corner of a local laundromat, they do good coffee (better than most at this end of bridge road) and some mean waffles and toasties. Lovely staff and great vibe.

Great coffee, great customer service and food. A must try on Bridge Rd, Richmond. Also, It is a regular coffee and local catchup point for the people living in surrounding apartments.

3.5/5
My partner and I had some brunch here. This is a laundromat and a cafe in the same space, not a bad idea I guess.

The service was excellent, friendly and welcoming. I had a strong skinny latte and it was absolutely delicious, and they use a quality brand of milk which only quality cafes use. And it makes a difference to the coffees! I was so impressed I had 2 coffees which I generally don’t do lol

I also tried a cheese and tomato croissant which was good. My partner had a cheese and tomato toastie was which was good too.

Overall this was a good cafe and I’d be happy to go back.

I really wanted to like this place. I had a mad craving for liege waffles this morning and thought we’d try these guys. I got the Nutella liege waffle, which was completely underwhelming. Not crispy enough, not sweet enough, not caramelised enough. Not a liege waffle, in summary. My partner got 2 plain bagels, one with just cream cheese and one with bacon, egg and haloumi. Again, very underwhelming addition to the bagel scene in the city. Coffee and juice of the day however, were good.

At the moment, this is the best coffee in Richmond. This is a new business with what I gather is a first time cafe owner and she has nailed it. I'll repeat: the best coffee in Richmond.

Absolutely delicious! Just like being back in Belgium, they even have cookie butter! I asked for double cookie butter and they were super generous, even checking that they’d put enough. Would definitely recommend and am definitely coming back to try the liege style!

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place while walking up Bridge road one Saturday morning and the food and staff were fantastic! We ordered a bagel with avo, feta and bacon which was delicious and a waffle with Nutella & strawberries! Absolutely delicious! My partner had a mixed juice which was delicious and I had a latte which was great. The service was outstanding! We will definitely be back as we live close by and it’s reasonably priced, food is delicious and staff are lovely and kind!

Arriving early for an appointment, I was recommended to try out The Waffle Press; until it was time.

Man am I glad I arrived early! Such an awesome place.Great genuine service delivered with a simple but delicious menu. My order was the day’s special - sesame bagel with egg, bacon, cheese and baked beans, washed down with an aromatic French earl grey tea. Made fresh to order, I have nothing but love to give for this 2 woman show!!

This little gem shares the space with a laundry, so a convenient little spot to kill two birds with one stone. Boom. Suffice to say I’ll be making sure I arrive early from now on.

Talk about convenience for the busy or time poor millennials living in Richmond. This gorgeous waffle house shares its spaces with a laundry mat called soap bar. The waffle press has great coffee, free wifi, air hockey game and loads of seating. Staff here are incredibly friendly, the owner knows everyones business, love it!

I ordered a large cap with a toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was chewy and not overly sweet. We will definitely come back to try the made to order waffles.

Love, love, love supreme coffee!! Amazing service and waffles to die for. Definitely coming back for their devil's breakfast. Pretty cool set up for a tiny place.

Really lovely welcoming staff. They apologised they were all out of the liege waffle batter for the day but it was totally fine, the Belgian waffles were delicious. I had the Belgian gem - two perfect sized light waffles with strawberries and melted Belgian milk chocolate drizzled all over. Perfection! Shared with a laundromat, it's an interesting space, they even have games! Great experience, I will go back.

Amelia is so lovely & this is the best coffee in richmond. Especially if you drink mochas because they use Belgian chocolate. Awesome service, best coffee, & cool set up.

The waffles at this cute little cafe are absolutely delicious! Usually a small taste of waffle is enough for me but these ones had me wanting more. You get to choose between two different kinds of waffles; the liege which is a sweet and chewy waffle and the Brussels which is a light and crispy waffle, both delicious in their own unique way. The coffee was aromatic and tasty, I'm not one to drink coffee for a boost of energy, I drink coffee for the taste, too bad I live so far from here otherwise I'd be here every morning. I really can't wait to be back, I think you'll start seeing me here every weekend, come say hi, you'll probably find me standing on top of a chair trying to find the best angle to photograph the waffles. ;)

Use locally roasted beans in Richmond and coffee is strong and great, worth the visit. Only very small, looking forward to trying the waffles at some stage.
