Review Konna Indian Cuisine - Richmond

I don't know why it took me so long to try eating here. It was really good. It's a big restaurant with quite an extensive menu and reasonably good, attentive service (other than when it took them forever to clear away the dishes after walking past us multiple times and never looking at us). The food was delicious and I'd love to try it again. Everything we ate was really good and we were all happy with our meals. We will be back.

Heard a lot about this place and it was good to finally make it for dinner with a group of friends.. lot of options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians with a good mix of different drinks as well.. food was very good and tasty and well sized portions with decent pricing.. spacious place with ample dining capacity.. the vegetarian platter could have been a lot better with the choice of inclusions and wasn't as great as the non vegetarian platter... only area of improvement as such was the wait time to serve the food from the time of ordering, it took very long for our food to arrive and though it was worth the wait the wait time between our starters n main course killed our hunger! A good experience overall ...

Had been to Jai Ho restaurant 2-3 times, food and service was really appreciative. Then we organised a big party for family and friends and it was also a hit with great food and happy guests. Great job done by the restaurant. Definitely a place to go.

Went here for a birthday dinner last night, absolutely amazing service and the food was to die for! We ordered a variety of different curries and they all were so rich and delicious in flavour, would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you love your curries!

Delicious Indian food! I eat mostly vegetarian and would recommend Malai kofta, eggplant curry and Rumali roti.. generally you have to hike to different for a best particular curry /bread. These guys are great at holding that bit well and I am sure I will be back many times..

The best Indian food ever had in Melbourne and there are different varieties in starters and specially the samosa chat is the best also the fast and good service.

A good choice for an authentic restaurant, I had an enjoyable experience. Only criticism I have is the food took a while to arrive, I had two beers in the time it took to arrive. The food was tasty, the garlic naan was powerful with garlic though. Friendly staff. I recommend dropping in if in the area.

Good indian food over here. Better than any indian restaurants i tried soo far.
Ambience seems fine. Food tastes good. I'd recommend this to all indians who'd like to have a great meal.

Not sure what the negative comments are about because I just had the best curry I've had yet - and I've eaten a lot! Friendly and quick service. Tried to explain what I wanted and the chef whipped it up for me. Was a butter chicken tasting vege curry with cottage cheese - yuuuuuum! Definitely coming back here.

What this place lacks in terms of space and service, it delivers in taste, in spades. The paneer bhurji, chicken malai tikka, chicken patiala and the eggplant masala were the highlights for me. Beautifully balanced so no spice overpowered the fresh flavours of the ingredients.
Our waitress was disinterested and for some reason our kachumber salad had some sweet dressing (of commercial variety?) on it?! A little lime, cumin and salt would have sufficed.
But we licked our plates clean and hope to be back again.
On a side note, the automatic door isn't automatic.

A girlfriend and I grabbed butter chicken, saag, rice and garlic naan takeaway last night. Two thumbs up!! Great amount of spice. Friendly service.

Never dined in before, but I'd keep it in mind in future.

Never again!. Very disappointed in the food, decent priced however a 5 year old child could have made a better curry. Very bland, hardly any flavour to it, and some questionable chicken. Wouldn't even feed it to my dog! Not cool.

Really tasty food and the staff were just delightful. Generous portions with terrific and authentic North Indian flavours. I don't like really spicy food and the adjustments made by the Chef made this a delicious meal. Good value for money, conveniently located and a lovely atmosphere. Certainly will be going back. The take away meant I could bring a fresh meal home to my family and amazingly close to Richmond train station.

No good. Terrible curry, just terrible.

Yum yum. What a make over does in this crazy world. I have been living next to this gem for years. Generally get takeout on a Sunday night, but more recently been dining in any night of the week. Fresh look but the same amazing food. Highly recommend the Dahl and the eggplant - best in Melbourne. Keep it up!

For an authentic indian experience, PTC should be at the top of your list. Excellent food tailored to your liking, friendly staff and speedy service. Just a stones throw from the shopping mecca of Bridge Rd, its a great place for a quick lunch or have your fave dish delivered. Love your work PTC.

Dont understand why this place is rated!. One of the worse butter chicken and chicken madras I've had. Just saying. WIR? Nope. Need I say more. Unless someone tells me their Biryani is out of this world!
