Review Horse To Water - Richmond

Larry Dooley's has a minimalist look interior with clean lines and neutral/earth colours. The service is quick and efficient. The jewel in the crown is the coffee which has a sharp initial taste followed by a smooth creaminess. And the cinnamon scrolls are delicious!

August 2021. Been awhile since getting a coffee here. 1st experience wasn't the best (3 years ago). Today, coffee was really good! Young girl as barista, friendly, and makes a "good" coffee! Has a name change, and Owner is back....hopefully this will improve their situation. It's a clean, neat, modern, roomy space, easy to wait and move in, more seating has been added over the years. Old post 3 years ago. Coffee was okay, smart modern coffee spot for this area. The girl taking order was very sweet. Seating is limited.

Good food and great coffee. Definitely a good place to grab a coffee and a quick toastie but the seating is not comfortable if you need to stay for longer. Overall decor is not sufficient for a full service Café. The breakfast greens and coffee ($22) were outstanding but by the time they arrived, I wanted to leave - being perched on a fixed stool with a low table had lost its appeal within 5-8 minutes.

Excellent coffee for an affordable $2 for a small cup (it's smaller than other cafes' small size but even if you go up 1 size, it's still only $3). There are a few seats and sometimes there's a queue, but it moved pretty quickly.

Love this place and now super excited it’s open weekends despite this only being marketed on coffee cups rather than updates on the front window/social media/google. Excellent coffee - haven’t tried the simple but tasty sounding brunch menu yet but the plates that have come out look excellent. Awesome suburban gem.

Honestly really good coffee and attentive stafff. I have frequented this cafe for a few years now and have always been satisfied with the service and the coffee. However, in discussion with friends who have all individually thought that the price for coffee here is too high I thought I would leave a review to let you guys know our collective thoughts. I payed $11.10 for 2 large regular milk coffees. It is good coffee but I just feel that the price is too high for me and with so many other quality, cheaper options nearby I will be forced to look elsewhere. All of this aside if you are happy to pay more money for a high quality coffee this is the place for you.

Espresso is great... and the muffins are sublime! Nice fit out too, right at the tram stop.

"Liquid gold at aluminium prices" ... Remind me to buy stocks in aluminium!!! 🤑 6 bucks for a 12oz cap to have in - ouch! Didn't know gold was actually an ingredient... Do rate the glassware 👍 Nice place, friendly staff, coffee ok but bit watery for my taste. Tried the porridge - simple, but tasty enough. Probably go a toastie next time.

This is a cute and conveniently located cafe on bridge rd. You can get cheap $2.50 coffees here but I am certain they are offsetting the price of coffees with their ridiculously overpriced food. $10 for two slices of banana bread that were the size of a tennis ball. $6 hash browns that were not quality enough to justify the price (hint, maccas is better).

Have loved Horse to Water since they first opened at half the size. The friendly service, really, really good coffee (may be my favourite in Melbourne, definitely my fave in Eastern area), fresh food, vegan options, variety of savoury and sweet and a really chill vibe makes it a really nice place to visit in Richmond. Absolutely 100% grab a coffee there, highly recommended! ❤️☕👍

I was on the go and wanted a take away coffee. The space inside is nice and I liked the diner style seating near the coffee machine.

Coffee was good, smooth and well balanced. Such great value too! Friendly service and a very pleasant experience today.

Would happily come back if in the area.

The place is tip top and the croissants are great! Best thing since sliced bread..
The staff are always friendly even when dealing with people who haven't woken up yet!

Called into this new cafe for some brunch. I ordered a strong skinny latte and a plain croissant.

The service to order was ok, but my coffee took a while and the place wasn’t too busy. Unfortunately my coffee wasn't a strong latte like I ordered so I had to take my coffee back and get a new coffee which was unfortunate.

My plain croissant didn't taste fresh and it was as dry as a bone. It was difficult to swallow and not too good. I wouldn’t order another one.

Overall this is a white bright new cafe in a good location on Bridge Road. This is a sister cafe of Concrete Blond cafe which serves amazing coffee. Both cafes sell $2 take away coffees which is great, but in my opinion there is definitely some room for improvement.

A great little cafe on a busy strip of Richmond, serving up fab coffee and snacks. It's only small, with just a few tables; but it's clean and light with light wood furniture and a simple style.

The staff are lovely and service is really quick. It's a nice spot for a coffee and pastries. There are sandwiches and cakes available and everything is delicious and fresh. I've enjoyed a few coffees here, and have always enjoyed them.

They serve great coffee and low cost, especially for the quality. Good music and a chill atmosphere. And they don't burn the soy milk which is fantastic 😊
