Review Tandoori Village - Richmond

My partner and I gave had take-away from Tandoori Village many times over the years and we have never been disappointed. The restaurant is run by the same family with the chef-owner having manned the cookers and tandoor since day-one. The food is delicious, fragrant and always fresh. There is a decent menu to choose from filled with some old favourites to some slightly less common yet satisfying numbers. Cooking times can be a little longer than other cuisines but its well worth the wait when it’s as fresh and tasty as it is. I recommend tandoori village if you’ve got a craving for some tasty and satisfying food. Well done team!!!

My dad and I love coming here. The food is always delicious, and the service is always speedy. Tonight we got the steamed rice, garlic naan, aloo gobi matar, and chilli lamb special.

Amazing, tasty authentic Indian food! Service was lovely, ambience was lacking although to be fair, it was late and they accommodated us even though it was 30mins to closing. We ordered starters, mains and dessert and all the meals were just perfect! Food was extremely fresh, piping hot, well seasoned and spice was spot on! Highly recommend this place...these guys know exactly what they are doing...only shame is they don't deliver but I'm happy to drive the 20mins to eat in!

The reason for my low rating is because of there being a lack of the same quality as the original owner. The cost is REALLY HIGH and is the same or more as a night out in the city. Their toilets were the worst I have seen in a long time. They also removed the open kitchen floor plan that made the restaurant great. In conclusion I will never be going back mainly because of the EXTREME cost for what you get.

Too slow. We were the only couple dining in on a Sunday evening and 1 main meal took an hour to ne served. This place is more focused on the takeaway orders rather than customers dining in. Food is fair but be prepared to wait..wait … wait

Customer service is really bad, late response to the enquiry and they treat Indian community badly over others. They should treat every community equally. Honestly, food was good but I wouldn’t recommend this place to my friends because of their customer service.

I ordered food early for a 6 pm delivery via menu log, when the food didn’t turn up by a little after 6 I check and menu log changed it to 7:10pm so I rang the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, they then proceeded to deliver it themselves, not waiting for menu log. The service was absolutely terrific and the food was delicious, I can’t thank tandoori village enough for the trouble they went to, I won’t be using menu log in future
