Usual vietnamese fare. Cleaner than a lot of restaurants in Bankstown.
Highly rate the rice noodles and the pork chop witg rice.
Always busy, always decent food.
Service is prompt and foods comes out fast.
Always get a vermicelli bowl cause it's loaded with ingredients and opposed to other places which is majority all noodles.
Money is well spent here!
Came on a Cold Saturday night. We arrived just after 6pm and we still had to queue for a table.
It seemed like forever, but reality was at the most 5 minutes.
If you get a table to yourself, count yourself lucky. But be prepared to share your table with others. It really doesn't worry me as it is the norm in Asian countries to squeeze in as many patrons as possible. We were fortunate to be seated under an outdoor heater which made it nice and cosy.
I love the menu with accompanying photos and excellent descriptions of each dish. On the tables are pots of tea to help yourself as well as chopsticks and forks n spoons and of course the boxes of tissues.
We started with Pork & Prawn Rice Paper Rolls, and shared a Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef & Pork Vermicelli Soup) as well as Salt & Pepper Tofu with rice.
The Bun Bo Hue came out first with a dish of oak lettuce, Shredded Cabbage, mint leaves and a wedge of lemon. Mixing the greenery in the soup made this dish absolutely huge for $12. The rice paper rolls came out shortly after and were nice and light and refreshing. Sauces and chilli are in bottles and jars on the tables to help yourself. The Salt & Pepper Tofu seemed to have been forgotten and they profusely apologised. We were so full after the Bun Bo Hue that we asked if the Tofu could be put in a container for us to take home. They were more than happy to accommodate us.
Even with this small hiccup we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service is fast and swift, but this restaurant was absolutely pumping and as well as catering to an ever endingflow of take away meals as well.
We will definitely be back if just for take away before we leave for China.
Note: The "Bon App" is the Chinese equivalent to Zomato. So download the App and see my posts on the restaurants in Shanghai and other towns and cities I explore over the next 2 years. Also Bonapp has expanded to Australia too, so add your reviews there too.
