Review Pacinos Italian Restaurant - Rockhampton

Excellent service by the serving staff, very prompt and helpful. We had the the Chargrilled Octopus as Entree, Spaghetti Meatballs and Sweet Potato Gnocchi. The Chargrilled Octopus was lovely and soft with a slight crunch. It was serviced with a tomato sauce and rocket and lime. Over all it was quite nice but lacking a punch to it. I had the Spaghetti Meatballs (over the lobster ravioli which looked quite small in portion size). The Meatballs were massive served with tomato and garlic sauce with Spaghetti. The portion size was quite large (as you can see in the photos) and so were the Meatballs however I think a little bit more herbs and flavour in the Meatballs would have enhanced the dish. My partner had the sweet potato gnocchi. The gnocchi was soft and delicious, serves in a scrumptious tomato and cheese sauce. The sauce was packed with beautiful flavours which balanced out the gnocchi quite well. Overall, we really enjoyed out meals at Pacino's, the atmosphere was lovely, food was delicious however lacking the wow factor.

All dishes are below average. "Pizza" is soaked thru in oil, puddles of oil in the box. Also, does not appear to be wood fire made. "Gnocci" are very much a soup, looks like a Laksa. "Spaghetti in Chilli Oil" has no detectable presence of chilli oil, but a couple of chilli flakes throw in. Pasta is overcooked.

I went to Pacino's Monday night. A large group (30+) were also booked as well as many other patrons and takeout orders. As I arrived a staff member went home sick. It was so busy I was offered a seat at the bar (instead of sitting outside). It gave me a chance to witness up close how the staff managed this situation. They were amazing. A young woman appeared to be the manager and she and the staff handled it with professionalism, communication and a calm attitude. Despite the group pre choosing wines all that was changed when the group arrived. The staff and manager didn’t bat an eyelid. These young people as well as the kitchen staff should be congratulated and given a bonus. Anyone that says hospitality is unskilled need to think again. The food and wine was also amazing Well done team

Really really good. If you're in Rocky, its a must do if you want to have a nice meal. Italian wine doesn't miss either. Highly recommend the Lamb Rack.

Beautiful restaurant in a beauy location in Rockhampton near the river. The food was amazing and staff were attentive and caring. Price was a little high for what you got but 1st rate restaurant. Would definitely recommend for a special night out.

Very nice food. Excellent table service. Very friendly staff. Great place for fine dining. Parking can be a challenge. Well worth the walk.

The meal was nice and my waitress was friendly but I rate my experience at this place a 1 out of 5 because at the end of our night when we went to pay we were treated very unkindly. The old lady was very unreasonable and old school. That ruined what could have been a lovely night. Sad.
