Review The Ranch Bar & Grill - Rockhampton

We went for dinner at The Ranch the other night. When we arrived they had just closed because it was a quiet night, however they were amazing and turned everything back on and let us come in to have dinner. So grateful that they did because their food was amazing!! I ordered a half rack of pork ribs for ONLY $24 and they serving size was awesome and tasted so good!! The service was sensational. I would highly recommend dining at The Ranch.

Absolutely love the place, wait staff is so kind and friendly to the kids. Food was amazing both times I've been there! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere that doesn't cost this family of 4 a fortune to go out for a decent meal! This is our new family place

Service was excellent! Great variety of food, plenty to choose from. Only downfall was no air-con inside, but overall it was a good experience.

Stayed at the motel next to The Ranch bar & grill. The owners, John and Lenor were very welcoming and Lenor cooks a mighty local steak with prawns. Awesome. To top it all the staff, Chloe, Rose, Lily and Shani were super nice and friendly. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

Highly recommend. Very friendly staff and the service was fantastic. Large family group and our orders were taken quickly and correctly. Food came out quickly as well. Very generous portions and decent prices. Will be coming back, thanks for a great family night out

BIG PORTIONS!!! AMAZINGLY TENDER STEAK! Can't stress how good and tender the steak is; Aussie quality! Friendly staff too! You can't go past this place for dinner... they serve well! Whenever I go through Rocky at dinner time this is a must stop din dins shop😃

No waiting for anything. The staff were friendly and attentive. Always smiling and no used plate or glasses left on the tables. We had potato skins for entree which we shared and they were outstanding. Couldn't fault them. Hubby had fillet and pork ribs. Pork ribs were chock a block with juicy succulent meat like I've never seen before and he reckons it was also the best steak he has ever had along with great chips and salad with an extra pepper sauce also the best he's ever had. He would have given you a 10 out of 5 if that was possible. My meal although was absolutely beautiful did have a couple of not quite 5 out 5's. The chips and pepper sauce were to die for yummo. My salad was a tad wilted and dry which i did leave on my plate. I had the fillet and garlic prawns. The garlic sauce was 10/10 the prawns were 8/10 if was like they were cooked prawns just chucked in at the end. Still good but not great. The steak was beautiful intill i got to the middle bit which was dry and over cooked. I ordered medium and was borderline well done. Still very tasty but not 10/10. I would also suggest that you offer a lite cut version as not all of us are huge eaters, hence the conflict between my husband and me. He loves huge were as I do not. A smaller version of my meal would have been great except for the slight issue with the steak. Overall a truly great experience and as hubby said "we'll be back" haha. Was way to full to even entertain a dessert sadly.

Well my first experience of 'The Ranch' was Fri night 27 April...i was taken there on a first date..i had no idea it even existed....but the meal was lovely...staff were great...and my company was awesome �.... Tonight (7th May) was our 2nd visit to your establishment..with family and friends....and can i say that once again everyone excelled...My meal was so delicious (Reef and Beef)...we even ordered dessert and although it came out wrong to start with the friendly and attentive staff were more than happy to fix it... I know there were staff learning on the night and there are bound to be a few hiccups but a credit to the senioir more experienced staff who stepped in when needed...and to the staff learning you did a fabulous job congratulations...... We had a little one year old at our table and how wonderful of you to take time out to play games with her...give her a cuddle and a scoop of ice cream... I think it was Brooke in particular..what a credit you are...and to the management team please commend and take good care of the excellent staff you have...we will def be back... Also congratulations to management for caring about the little things like the personal hygiene facilities in the toilets and mothers room.... �����

I had lunch today, the ribs and mashed potato were the best, juicy, yummy sauce and huge. The dessert was heaven, will be going back soon. The waitress was friendly, explained the menu and made suggestions, presentation was great, waiting time good, recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Went to dinner here last night 12/1/18 and can I just say it was awesome! We arrived late however the staff, management and kitchen accommodated us (no booking). The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Whilst we were there to celebrate my partner's new job and moving to the area we were also celebrating my son's 14th Birthday (something which I didn't tell the staff). The owner/manager went out of his way to get dessert for my son as the kitchen had closed but he fired up the deep fryer and made him the deep fried mars bars. All 3 of us were blown away by the attentive and friendly service and we will definitely eat out here again!

Best food I've eaten in rocky in ages , top place top staff awesome food

This was a great experience. I dined here on the 23/04/2018. The steak 🥩 was exceptional and our waitress, Kayla, was friendly, attentive and couldn’t do enough for us! If your looking for one of the best steaks you’ve ever had, this is the place to go!

Went to the Ranch today for lunch as I quite often do with my husband and it it never disappoints so we took the family with us today and unfortunately it wasn’t so good I found a hair in my burger which my daughter told the waitress when she came over to ask if our meals were ok I really hate complaining and didn’t want to make a fuss and the waitress said I’m so sorry and then took the hair away to show management I guess, I continued to eat my meal not the burger just the chips as she she never came back, went up to pay and all that was said is we are So Sorry about that, and got given $5 off my meal, pretty disgusted in management and has certainty put myself us of eating here again.

Fantastic experience and the staff and food was just excellent. Prices are not extravagant and very generous portions. Loved it. I cannot believe it may be gone now. Rocky we need to help this business. We don’t need any more failures and empty shop fronts or buildings. Especially the sold Post Office Building.

Best service, our waitress Brooke was lovely, best food best pina colada in rocky , can’t wait to go back.

Often have lunch at The Ranch. The food is always amazing as is the customer service. All the staff excel in their jobs particularly Brooke. Will always come back. Keep up the great work guys!

From absolutely loving and raving about this place to family from NSW. It was a very big disappointment tonight. Meals were wrong from the start, kids meals were burnt, returned and bought back out minus 1, half of our tables plates were being taken away while half of us still waiting, including the child’s meal. Was cold, chewy and just plain disappointing after talking the restaurant up to family... very very big disappointment as we only had breakfast here on Saturday morning and it was 10/10.

Meals cooked perfectly (great steak and pork belly) and is consistent. Delicious vegetarian options too. Keeps us coming back � I highly recommend dining here.

Ribs fall off the bones, steak melts in your mouth. Served and seated straight away, staff very attentive, food came out fast and was great. Will be back next time in Rockhampton

I had a delishous prawn and Avocado roll and strawberry pancakes. Perfect delicious and fresh. The staff were great. Recomend it as a place to go. Prices to please also.
