Saturday afternoon Lunch with the family. Lavoro is always reliable to serve delicious food, generous portions with variety to ensure the whole family are able to find something to enjoy. Today I had the Lamb Cutlets, cooked to the chef’s recommendation of medium rare. They did not disappoint. Another great experience at our local Family owned Italian restaurant.
We were here on Saturday night with a party of 38 Lions from our District Convention and they were magnificent, the front of house staff were fantastic and handled the large party very well. They were all smiling, efficient and fast even with the rest of the restaurant full too. Our food was delivered hot, fresh and delicious, no one was missed and nothing looked or tasted like it had been waiting on the pass. When it cam time to pay, they allowed everyone to pay individually. Fantastic!!!
I would recommend Lavoro to anyone whether a couple, or a small or large party.
Always a pleasure to come here. Probably been here more than dozen times.
Lavoros is a place with a regular menu plus a blackboard with their specials. The specials seem to change constantly.
Ordered squid rings. Crab linguine and gnocchi with mushrooms and bacon.
Squid rings came out first. Tender. Tasteful and not overcooked. Seasoned correctly. Aioli sauce was good also.
Gnocchi and linguine came out together. Gnocchi was creamy. Smooth. Full of flavor, accompanied by mushrooms and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly. Normally I avoid gnocchi because it generally gets overcooked but that was not the case tonight.
The crab linguine was different than the one I had just recently at oceanic bar and grill. Similar in some scopes however this crab linguine had hints of roasted vegetables. Smokey flavors. And a bit of spice. Overall a great linguine. The smokeyness did overpower the crab. And the crab meat was kinda small. But still a good linguine.
9.5/10
Food is good, there’s some staff members not even concentrating of what I ordered instead of mocha ☕️ she bring us another bottle of water 💧 and I call another staff member but she pass me on to another person.
We had a great family night out here. First visit for us. It was crowded and noisy, but that’s not necessarily bad thing! We had to wait 50 minutes for food, which was a shame. When we asked why it was taking so long they told us two chefs were not working that night. That’s not too bad, but if we had been told this when we arrived, we would have ordered enough entree dishes to keep all 5 of us, 3 who are kids, happy and fed. Prices are great and service sizes were amazing. We would go back if in the area, but would encourage them to communicate better with patrons if there’s a potential long wait.
First time here, service was lovely, all the girls friendly and on to it. We ordered Cheese garlic bread, Fettuccine Firenze and Marinara. Gb was ok , and both our Pasta dishes was yummy! Servings could be a lot better, Fettuccine had only 2 prawns, 2 baby scallops and nice amount of fish. Marinara 3 mussels, 2 prawns, 4 baby scallops(better) and nice amount of squid.
Usually our favourite pasta joints are overflowing with pasta and good amount of meats/seafoods. Oh and a nice piece of bread with mains would be lovely.
Bigger portions and a complimentary bread would be 5/5 , until then.
So yes quite lovely 👌🏽 we'll be back.
Had a late lunch on father's day, they were getting ready for a rush hour dinner but welcomed us with courtesy. We had our dog with us, no problem! We had a feel of a Parisian cafe with our table on the footpath, a dog patiently waiting for us. Excellent service and yummy food.. we had the Polo Avocado and Garlic Bread and kids had the Margherita pizza.
