My work colleagues and I were in town after some Italian. I had read the reviews and was very skeptical about eating here and let alone spending money where the staff is mistreated.
I was pleased to say the service was fast, the food was delicious. And Frank (the owner) was hospitable. Not one of the 6 of us had a bad meal. I had the marinara which was delicious!
I’ll be back again. Will review if the experience is different from this time.
After having read mixed reviews I was some what concerned as to how my birthday dinner would go.
We walked into this interesting little rustic restaurant & where we were seated in the prime dining room location fireside.
Franko (the owner & chef himself) presented the menu & took the orders. The restaurant was quite due to the Grand Final & there was one other member of wait staff. We ordered the antipasto plate for entree & for mains, linguine marinara, the salmon & a children's chicken schnitzel & chips. The food was delicious, authentic Italian cuisine, cooked fresh by Frank himself - we couldn't fault our meals. The chicken schnitzel in the kids meal is authentic Italian chicken cutlet. You have to wait for freshly prepared meals so I highly recommend ordering an entree, or either phoning orders ahead or simply not dining here if you're in a hurry.
Frank is quirky however he is a very generous & kind man. We we're staying across the road at Rose-a-lee Cottages & we had left left something behind at the restaurant, 10 minutes after arriving home there was a knock on the door, it was Frank himself delivering our forgotten items.
If you are going to dine here, do so with an open mind & you will have an authentic/personalised dining experience.

Very surprised by the quality of the food. There were 4 of us. Shared the antipasto platter which was great. Everyone enjoyed their mains, my dad (who is a bit of a food snob) said his seafood linguine was the best meal he'd had in a long time.
Interior of be restaurant is very drab and old but if the foods good who cares. Would recommend going here is you have time to spare as the service is rather slow.
