Love this little restaurant! Lovely service!! Can’t honestly say how much I love going here! The food is amazing Peking duck, sweet n spur pork, Mongolian lamb are just a couple of my favorites! The service is really what puts it on top the owner is super nice and friendly! The atmosphere is a cozy little Chinese restaurant! Definitely a nice place to try out! ☺️

Trekking it through the rain, my sister and I ate here last night after telling her how much I loved my first experience at Tian Ci. One of my friends is vegetarian and we ate here ages ago. Eating some of the dishes blew my mind away because of how similar the taste/texture veggie meat is to real meat!

For people who roll their eyes at the thought of vegans/vegetarians, you should try restaurants that serve plant-based foods and see the difference. Reducing your meat intake in your diet can benefit your health, reducing your risk of heart disease and all types of Cancer too.

Tian Ci serves Chinese Cuisine. Majority of their main dishes are vegan except for their desserts, which have dairy in them. My sister and I ordered their spring rolls, veg chicken and corn soup, veg chicken and pineapple fried rice and veg chicken cashew nut to share.

The spring rolls were amazing!! So crispy with flavoursome veggies inside. The chicken and corn soup was so tasty, I even burnt my tongue just by sipping it cause I was that hungry. It honestly tastes like the real thing. You wouldn't know that it was vegan unless someone told you!

The fried rice and the cashew nut dish were absolutely delicious. My sister and I demolished these in half an hour. The cashew nut dish came with a lot of asian greens, making it such a wholesome feed for the both of us. The veg chicken tastes similar to chicken but it has an obvious soy-based flavouring but it's so yummy!

Compared to my experiences of eating Chinese cuisine, eating veggie style helps my stomach feel less bloated. I'm definitely coming regularly to this restaurant, especially if I want to take a break from meat.

If you want to go to a restaurant that feels like home, Tian Ci is the place. It's the best restaurant to eat in wet weather, especially if you want to keep yourself warm. Definitely recommend coming here during the colder seasons.

Situated right at the busy road of West Ryde in Victoria Road. A great destination for a vegetarian kind with ample of choices also imitation of non vegetarian food is worth trying.
Selection of soups available for a good start in this wintertime.
The ambience is cozy and the service staff is polite. The only thing which need to be remembered is carry cash while you visit here. 😀

I've been going to this hidden gem for most of my life and I would rate it as one of the best places for delicious, reasonably priced yum cha - vegetarian too - there is a huge variety on offer and service is always with a smile.

Tian Ci doesn’t look like much from the outside. From my past conversations with friends, it’s often passed up for other flashier options in West Ryde. What we found inside was a real culinary gem. Our first visit was during Chinese New Year and we were treated to a three course dinner with multiple mains. We were back the second time with a couple of friends who had never had mock meat before and they really enjoyed the food!

Tian Ci do yumcha during the day, and also have a dinner menu which has a wide variety of mock meats, veggies, soup, noodles, rice etc. They may have been vegetarian before, but I’m pretty sure they are 100% vegan now.

I particularly enjoyed the dumplings here, although their noodle dishes are also spot on. So yum! In terms of the mock meat, I love the “pork” the most, it really is so good. However, “chicken” is so close behind, and quite frankly every fake meat here is pretty damn good.

Service is actually quite lovely most of the time, and they did give complimentary orange slices at the end the first time I went. The other times were takeaway or yum cha.

Definitely worth stopping by, I know I’ll be back many more times to come!

One of my favourite vegetarian places in Sydney.

The weekend Yum Cha is always good with unlimited chinese tea.

Long standing favourites include Curry Puff, Turnip pudding, steamed Chinese vegetables, pan grilled rice rolls, sticky rice in lotus leaves and a delicious eggplant dish not on the Yum Cha menu.

I went here on a quiet Monday night with my boyfriend. Immediately we had to turn back because we saw it was cash only but there was a service station not far away. The service was very good because of its quietness. Was good to hear that basically everything on the menu was vegan (besides desserts) and the food was delicious! The "chicken" skewers are really a must have, good texture and creamy full-flavoured taste. We chose the "lamb" with Mongolian sauce and the black pepper "chicken". Both had lots of flavour and were good portions. The black pepper chicken was really nice as it came with lots of vegetables. This place could do with some design improvements but the aesthetic is still nice. Definitely would come back!

From the exterior of the shop, it looked like any other Asian restaurant with its glowing bright red and green neon lights practically shouting the name of the restaurant into your face. We were the first ones there that night and were quickly ushered to a table that sat three of us comfortably. They had a pink and apple green interior with some Chinese decorations. A quick glance over to their handwritten lunch special menu hung on the wall and the Mandarin accent of the lady who ushered us in suggested that the owners or at least the management were Malaysian. After deciding on chrysanthemum tea for the table, we scrutinised their menu and put in our orders. For entree, we ordered Vegetarian Pumpkin Rolls ($5.00). We really liked this! In addition to the lovely pumpkin filling, it also had some sweet corn in it, which gave it some texture and added to its sweetness. The skin was crispy, as it was served piping hot. I am a sucker for real eel and have ne

Very friendly service, as soon as the waitress heard the clinging sound of our tea pot, she immediately came and refill with hot water! The food was alright, have had better vegan dim sum elsewhere, but very reasonable price for what it is. Spent $30 for two person. 1/9/2017 updated to 5* Came back for the second time Quality of food has improved a lot! Much better than what I remembered the last time I was here! Definitely coming back again.❤️

One of the best vegetarian yum cha I've had! Been coming here every fortnight now. Really tasty and always freshly made and served piping hot. Boss lady is really lovely as well and service is great. Highly recommend the har gau 'prawn dumpling' and the turnip cake!

Surprisingly enjoyable food, appealing to both the eye and the taste buds! Vegetarian food tends to get a bad rap, but Tian Ci is an example of how it is possible to present traditional Asian fare without a genuine meat product in sight. The service is friendly and efficient, and the prices very reasonable.

I love this place and go regularly with my mum. Buddhist monks travel from out of town to visit and it's not hard to understand why. They basically serve Chinese yumcha using vegan substitutes from meat... You'd never know. Some vegans i know were horrified at how convincingly "meat like" the food was in flavour.

Good vegan food, moderately priced. A variant on Yum Cha. You tick off the dishes you want on a menu sheet, then they are delivered to the table. There are dishes that are not on the menu. (eg stuffed eggplant) and you need to ask for them. Cash only. Pleasant and helpful staff.

The fake meat in this restaurant is extremely tasty and convincing. My dad, who is a meat fanatic, was even fooled at times. The rest of my family loved this restaurant. Aside from the food, the staff were very gracious and accomodating. I highly recommend this restaurant to vegetarians and meat lovers.
