A couple of weeks ago l was in the Rye area on a job and decided to look for a fish and chip shop l was faced with the decision between 2 shops .
I am so pleased that l chose Davids shop l have never ever had fish and chips so amazing as these were .the chips were full of flavor and crispy the grilled salmon that l chose was so fresh and cooked to perfection and the staff so friendly .smiles all round. Thanks David and staff just sensational .l will be back for more very soon. :)
Just moved to Rye so have been trying out all the different fish places and have finally found our fave fish shop. Seafood was very fresh and staff very friendly. We will definitely be back!

This place is an oasis in the desert. Purchased fresh seafood to make a leguine marinara. Seafood was exceptional. Will come back for some fresh Fish & Chips.

Being a beach suburb, you would expect Rye to have a decent fish and chip. In fact, there are four in the suburb. Yes, four. Prossers is far and away the best. The fish here is wonderfully fresh, beautifully cooked, and supremely flavoursome. The chips are crisp and delicious, and the serve the legendary South Melbourne dim sims. I see some of the reviews with low ratings complaining about the service. I've never had an issue in the many times I've visited. Service has always been friendly and helpful. If you want excellent fish and chips, this is the place to go in Rye.
Fresh, delicious juicy grilled fish and the chips were crispy and well seasoned. They had a fantastic selection of fresh fish you can choose to be cooked at market price. Would highly recommend
Best seafood / fish and chips you will get on the Mornington peninsula. We have had take away fish and chips many times here now and it's always great! We have also brought seafood from here and it is always spot on for freshness and flavour. Many places down here to get your fish and chip fix but this one won't disappoint. Order by phone early during the summer as it gets busy and often they have to stop taking orders by 7pm.
Delish fish and chips! Crispy chips and the flake is great either grilled or fried. Only didn’t get 5 stars because it closes at 8pm during the busy summer period?? Weird.
Was deciding what to eat and I was reminded of this place. So we decided to get some whiting- it was the best whiting I have tasted. It melted in my mouth. This place is busy for a reason. A huge thumbs up.
I really wanted to give a higher review because the food was all really great except for one big thing. We took our parcel down to the beach after about a 20 minute wait which I thought was good for such a busy night! But unfortunately they completely forgot to put salt on anything! It was too much effort to walk back at this point but it was so annoying, completely ruined what would have otherwise been a superb fish and chips!
Hands down the best fried fish I've ever had and always consistent. The coating is so good as is the freshness of the fish. I would suggest ordering anything local, sustainable and line caught like snapper or bream.

Is this the best fish and chips shop Ive been too? Maybe! But it's hard to tell.
This place is very popular! So be careful of the wait time. But in my opinion it is well worth the wait.
I had some of the best Blue Grenadier Ive ever had here.
Open on Sunday until they are sold out, so don't listen to google too much. Sold out around 8pm when we visited.
Well priced and made to order. I love how you can pick you own fresh fish and they cook it for you. The 'small chips" are definitely enough for two. Love this place.
WOW!!!! The best fish n chips I’ve had for years - the chips were next level tasty, crispy & soft inside. Lovely grilled flake . Highly highly recommend!!!!
Had fried flathead, flake and chips. Fish was cooked well, batter light and crisp and oil was clean. Only downside was the fish was a bit oily, left a lot of oil on the hands.
