Totally recommend experiencing a Focus night at Pause. Last night we were totally spoilt with the best seafood I’ve ever had. Absolutely exquisite flavours and freshness. Seafood at its finest. And the champagne was pretty good too. We hope that you do that one again!! Thanks chef and all the staff for a great night.
We loved or impromptu lunch visit to Pause. The food was some of the best I’ve eaten in Brisbane, and such a surprise to find this fine dining quality in Samford.
The service was right en pointe - not too much, not too little - and whilst I couldn’t enjoy the wine menu this time round, it looked well thought out.
We’ll be back to try the degustation menu!
This was my first visit to Pause and I will be back. I have never 'reviewed' a restaurant before and I am doing so now because I haven't found such excellence for a long time. The coffee is excellent (and I'm one fussy bitch when it comes to coffee), the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The staff were all extremely pleasant and seemed to know the art of good service as if they had been trained. I had the King Prawns and I thought I might get four. I got eight! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough and I'm a fussy snob who spent 26 years in London!
Easy to book, excellent communication from the staff, exceptionally friendly, very accommodating to our allergies and large group of 8, polite and professional service, wonderful atmosphere, and the 'leave it to chef' degustation was best meal I've ever had for outstanding value for money. A must try, 11/10.
Went there on Friday for Hubby's Birthday and had the Birthday Lunch and all I can say is it was worth it, food lovely, staff friendly and helpful, just a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Will be back. If I could mark more stars I would.
My wife and I came here for our anniversary and we were both blown away with how good the food was. I'm surprised that the whole place wasn't completely packed out. It is a relatively new restaurant and word of mouth has still yet to travel, but I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who will listen. I had the wagu rump and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had! LOVED IT
I had the carbonara ravioli and it was the best I have had in years. Service was incredible. I would definitely recommend.
The chefs choice degustation menu is a perfect introduction to the menu and more than filling, plus the best espresso martini I’ve ever had!

This is our go to place for decent,tasty well prepared food. The service is great and food is delicious. The owners are often there and we love when they take the time to come and have a chat with us. You can tell this restaurant is their passion as it’s shown in the high quality food which is served.
What a great venue. Hidden gem, great ambience & amazing food. Well worth the drive up from Burleigh.

I don’t usually rate so high but Pause Is great the food beautifully prepared the setting is rustic, the staff are friendly and understand the food they served. I’ll be back
We had a party of 12 for our anniversary dinner last night and felt exceptionally well-attended. The chef's menu was delicious - and generous! - and the service was friendly and welcoming. We received great value for the price. We'll be back!
OMG... best meal we have had in ages. We did the Chef's choice multi course dinner and it was amazing! Each course was fantastic and there was nothing I could fault. Wonderful way to wrap up an Anniversary... thank you so much!
First time for us. Pause Italian Focus Dinner. Three courses. No Photos sorry too busy enjoying the fantastic meal and Italian wine that came with it. Service was also great but not over the top plus we definitely did not go home hungry. Looking forward to coming back to try the breakfast and lunch menus.
My wife and I ate here for the first time ever on Wednesday night. Amazing food and a wonderful ambience. Cannot rate it highly enough. Great work guys
Usually, I still get a bit hungry after fine dining, but at this place, I was full. The lighting on these photos don't do these dishes justice, but they were all incredible. When we plan to drive up north, we'll visit again.

It had wood fired pizzas outside in a caravan with attached wood fired oven and more traditional a la carte menu inside.I grabbed a quick lamb pasta on the way through there from Mount Glorious.it I’d conveniently located in the Main Street of Samford village

I was honestly so surprised at how perfect each course was.
I am ceoliac. Staff took great care to ensure they were thorough when offering gluten free items. All sauces/ meats etc were checked. Everything.
I enjoyed Oyster Kilpatrick, an antipasto board, the fish and a pannacotta dessert.
Every element was fresh, cooked perfectly and just divine.
Even better was the beautiful service.
Highly recommended.
We had an outstanding meal at Pause last Friday night. A snack of warm olives followed by tasty prawns wrapped in shredded pastry as an entree. Main meal was a delicious seafood pasta full of prawns, and bug meat in a lobster bisque. It was beautiful and a large portion. Service was fantastic. Our interstate visitors and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. Thank you!
Never disappoints - Food was just lovely and well priced for the 3 courses. Family and friends always impressed. Thank you Chef and Luca for a lovely lunch out with friends. Can highly recommend the Lobster Lunch as well!
We had the "Leave it to Chef" degustation lunch with matching wines. It really was the best day out we've had in ages. The food was excellent and the vibe was great. Everyone in the venue was really friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the time the Sommelier took to explain how the wines paired with each course. Very highly recommended!
A wonderful experience as usual, great food, great service and a great venue. Pause knows how to truly treat the guest, the right amount of attention when needed but not taking over or leaving you to linger forever. We will miss our special little restaurant in the valley and all the staff. Best wishes to you all..
Took hubby there for our Anniversary Dinner. So much fun. Delicious food. Wonderful wine! So sad to heard that the restaurant will be closing - because we would totally have gone back again.
