Another place I like very much. Close to the beach, always open, comfortable, friendly stuff and whatever you order comes fast and it is so tasty you want more. Money wise - it gets you years back when food was cheap and fresh. 10 stars if possible.
A dog beach is close by so for people on the other side of the leash, best place to be any time during the day.
Great place to learn paddle boating. The service was excellent and the staff are so helpful and welcoming.
They do a great genuine chai. Enjoyed the sunshine in a relaxing environment
Great spot for a hearty meal or hot cuppa after a long beach walk. Wonderful soup of the day (finishes early). Informal and rustic atmosphere. Good value.
Location is to die for. On one of the most popular beach areas in Bayside Melbourne. Sandringham Yacht Club across the road, freshly minted dog beach lapping at the doorstep, plenty of space infront of the cafe for kids and dogs to run wild. Tables outside, inside, upstairs and downstairs. So, what’s it like? It does a fair job serving a range of different customer categories and needs as well as disparate service locations. The Hampton/Sandringham patronage can be hard to please most of the time, many of them seem to think places like this are set up just to please each of them individually. So ignore local reviews that rubbish the place. Food is reliable, coffee can be great (and not so great), but if your old and fussy, like some of my friends, really plead your special requests (hot, strong etc) at time of ordering. Go upstairs, some lovely photos of local history of a time long past. Worth the visit.
