Visiting an old friend in Sawtell and she took us here. The ambiece was great. We sat on the street and although the place was heaving the waitress was outstanding. We had arancini and battered gherkins starters, (different but good). Seafood linguini was outstanding, my mate had an excellent sirloin cooked to order. Prices were reasonable all in all a great night out.

Had a lovely time at the spare room this weekend! So glad this place exists! Such a warm, friendly environment and great smiley staff! Had the seafood linguine and it was sensational! Followed by the best chocolate brownie I have ever tasted!
Now a big fan of the spare room!!

What an amazing atmosphere this place has.Spent our Sunday afternoon there and enjoyed the best steak ever and a couple of amazing cocktails all in front of a very top shelf jazz trio...Bring on Sunday's !!!

Great atmosphere, excellent food and super friendly service. The live Jazz was a wonderful bonus. It’s a role model small business run with passion by the family. Highly recommend. Good to book ahead. We are very lucky to have discovered the Spare Room.

Groovy, atmospheric, street front eatery on the main drag in Sawtell. Strong hipster vibe with a basic menu of pizza and pasta. Cosy sit-up bar for pre dinner drinks, if you wish.

Great atmosphere with a live jazz band playing. The food was delicious and came out really quickly! The staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat here again!

Yes yes and yes. Cool little spot with great food and service. The Mojitos are decent and the food is excellent. Good cocktail menu too. The mussels we had were cooked perfectly. (I always over do them at home) and the sauce the mussels came in you could drink every last bit. The breads and pizza were really yummy. We tried the whitebait pizza. Delish! Looking forward to going back there sometime soon.

Loved this place. Group of 4 of us went for my partners birthday. The chow cocktail was delicious, the band was fabulous, the dessert was to die for. Am coming back in June for my birthday.
