Just amazing!! My best nachos ever in Perth city 😋 so happy.. customer service is great too.

Pleasant atmosphere with arcade games, vintage objects, and event posters. The burger wasn’t anything to write home about but the milkshakes were quite decent. It is a shame, however, that this review must be brought down a couple of stars because of the thin walled bamboo straws. They break too easily and are too thin to be used in milkshakes, or any sort of drink as a whole. BYOS.

Loved the vibe of this place so much that I took hubby to another location a week later 😜. I ordered the calamari salad and it was far better than what I was expecting. Plenty of calamari cooked to perfection, lovely and tender with a beautiful crumb. Salad had avocado and Parmesan cheese scattered throughout it and was a winning combination with the crunch of the lettuce. I ordered a shake with my meal and at only $5 it was a bargain. Served in a mason jar with both cream and icecream you couldn't beat it for value. Service was quick and staff were lovely and friendly. Hats off to the chef, everything was cooked to perfection and as I mentioned I've already been back 😊

Kid eats free deal is really worth the money. For every spend of fold $25 you will get 1 kids meal and drink. We spent more than $50 and we got pretty delicious kids meals, a pulled pork mashed potato and a pancake ice cream. Even the portion is good enough for grown up kids. Only the drinks, an orange juice and a milkshake, came with small plastic glasses. As always, Pork ribs were always our favorite dish when we visited this restaurant.

Amazing food! Prices were fantastic for dining in Scarborough, great atmosphere with fake grass. Board games and other fun features of the place!

I came few times and also ordered by uber eat and it was ok. But I came today, first coffee I ordered there . I asked for a Latte, the lady (she was lovely) probably doesn’t know how to make a coffee, it was not a latte (supposed to be served in a glass) but it was more like a flat white served in a cup. Btw someone came and ordered a long macchiato topped up, and she didn’t know how to make it, the customer had to explained to her how to make it ... maybe you could give to your employe a barista course ... Got charged $5 for a regular (the menu says $4...) The food tasted nice, but the presentation ... honesty I could make it looks better by myself at home.

Came here today for 1/2price ribs Thursday. Got the beef half rack, please be informed it is only 2 ribs for $10.50(originally $21). Maybe because it on special they give scrap meat. Wouldn't recommend. Also my big draw here was for the "Absinthe served right". There's a grand picture of a water decanter dripping water onto a sugar cube resting on an absinthe spoon over a shot of absinthe of your choosing. This is what I got.. a shot of absinthe with a sugar cube on a spoon without a water decanter or any water for that matter. I waited a while until the waitress came back around after serving a few other tables and asked if there was water coming? She seemed surprised and came back with a glass of water and says shes looking for a lighter but no one smokes. This restaurant isn't even prepared to serve this drink correctly. She then finds one and comes back trying to light the cube but it doesn't set on fire. "That's odd, I've seen it light on fire before", she said. We try maybe two or three times with no luck. She then gets a stick and tried to light this on fire to light the cube, no luck. We gave up and I decided to just pour the water from the cup's side to drip it on to the sugar cube. She comes back with the pink absinthe and it lights on fire right away. Apparently the other absinthe had no cap on it and there was no alcohol on it to light. Are they serving fake alcohol or did it all evaporate? Either way it's faulty stuff. Then it seems like she brings this complimentary pink absinthe drink to make up for the faulty green one, but to my surprise she drinks out of it, asks if I want to "try it", pulls it back to herself and says maybe I'll stop by once in awhile and have a few more sips with you. Appalled, I didn't even finish my non alcoholic absinthe and went up to pay. $22 is your total ($10 ribs and $12 Absinthe). I asked if she could void the drink since it was faulty. She then says "I didn't charge you for the second drink". It was not communicated to me that it was for me and she drank out of it and claimed it to herself. I also did not ask for a second drink she just brought it. I then said "was that for me? I thought it was yours". She then punches a few more keys in the the screen and the total is now $19.12...... a discount? At this point, I'm just over this restaurant and I'm not going to waste time arguing so I just charge it and leave. I just got ripped off. To the MANAGERS- I was sitting at the booth under the TV in the front of the restaurant right in front of the kitchen today October 4, 2018 around 2:30pm. Can you please review the video footage and confirm if this is how you would properly conduct a business? May I suggest you equip your restaurant to serve your advertised goods properly including tools (lighter), staff training(how to serve) and proper communication(bringing an extra drink for me or for her but I'm still paying for it)? If you will note the second drink is where the server left it for herself to come back to, opposite of me. Looking forward to a response. I regret not staying to battle this one out because of the principle, but my time is more valuable than a few dollars. Let my lesson be learned here to others thinking of coming.

My friend and I were meeting and decided to check out other places in the area. We went from Oceans Bar to The Shack and ended up at El Groto. One thing that these places had in common was the exceptional customer service! It felt like a neighborhood tradition. That's the way it should be done! Customers are the bloodline of any business. When we got to The Local Shack, we were served by a guy named Ian. My friend ordered a beer 🍺 and I ordered a Large - Sweet Potato Chips with barbeque sauce. The food got to us in time and, Ian gave us good service with a smile. As we exited and said thank you! Ian said he appreciated us as customers, especially that I got to aknowledge him. He's got the heart 💓 of a true champ! Cheers to that!!! The Local Shack is conveniently located across from a bus stop so you shouldn't have issues getting transport when you're not driving.

Terrible business who treat their staff very badly. We had the mist horrible experience there. Don’t eat here people.

We are local living nearly and went for dinner on 4th Feb and the manager ruin the whole experience. We have already finished our meal and we are just wanted to finish our drink, he told us we are closing down NOW, I asked for a glass of water , he said can't. He should tell us 15 mins before but not the very last minute. No management skill and not service at all. The whole situation can be better with simple apologize. I won't come back here because of this manager. He is not doing his job and treat customer like shit.

Horrible treatment of staff

I do not like the way upper management and owners treat their staff. Expecting people to work 7am till midnight is indentured servitude. <br/><br/>When this company goes out of business another family member will continue trading under the same name. <br/><br/>Vote with your feet. Do not give a dollar of your money to this business.

What a hole this place is and to top it all off they don’t even pay their staff a decent wage.

We used to love the local shack but it has completely declined. The food quality was poor and the service was terrible. Will never go again.

One of the worst places I have ate in Perth. Management is rude and belligerent with absolutely no regard for staff or customers, waitstaff were clearly understaffed and therefore got our order wrong and when it did come the food was terrible!! This place is obviously incompetently run, would avoid at all costs in future, never returning.

These scumbags have been all over the news, review platforms and Facebook. The owners of the local shack are known all around Perth for bulling, abusing and not paying there staff. Work conditions are horrendous please do not endorse this place or give them your money. They force staff into writing up fake reviews just read all the negative ones there are plenty of them.Anything positive are either done by the local shack or there employees. How long Brad and Chloe did you think you could get away with ripping people off.......Karmas a B*tch, and there's more to come.

Amazing service with cheap and fantastic cocktails!!! However menu has changed and food was below average. Ran out of mash potato, poached eggs became hard boiled, soggy sweet potato fries and fish was rubbery. Overall okay, could do with some improvement :)

I loved my breakfast at The Local Shack. What I truly valued was being given a lot, and I mean a lot of food. I ordered the chorizzo scrambled eggs and I was given the hugest serving size possible. I didn't eat again till dinner. Plus the food was tasty! The prices are fairly normal e.g. $19 but the serving sizes are beyond substantial. I am so sick of paying $22 at other places and being given one piece of toast with a small amount of feta and eggs. 10/10 to the Local Shack for feeding me well. I loved the wait staff and the barista, they were kind and bubbly. This is definitely a place to visit if you value actually being given an adequate serving of food and enjoy being in places where staff look happy.<br/><br/>Ps: Only short fall was the Acaia bowl. The naming of that may need to change. It isn't an Acai bowl at all, its oats with strawberries. Just call it porridge or something. People will get frustrated with that incorrect advertising.

Came here for a late breakfast on Saturday morning. Literally only one other table of patrons when we arrived. Waited 20 minutes for my friends meal to come (mine and my other friend had already finished our meal). Went up to ask where it was and got told they forgot about it. No apology. No offer of refund or any kind of reimbursement. I don’t know how you forget a whole meal when you only have two tables to look after. They also waaaaay over-poached my friends egg and when they were told about it, offered no explanation or new one. When we all finally got to eat, the food was delicious but probably not worth it for all the effort and waiting.

Great service would highly recommend. Got the cheeseburger and beer deal on a Saturday and also got a serve of hot wings and nachos to share. All the food was delicious and good value for money, also came out super quick which was awesome. Would recommend

During my visit in Australia I returned to this location several times! The food was tasty and decent quality. Prices were fair and some days had great deals! Happy hour specials were good and cocktails were made properly. The environment is cute with trendy videos and music playing.

Been here on numerous occasions but unfortunately this will be my last visit... Things have most definitely changed, the food looked visibly good but it was awful!!! <br/>The goodness stack fell very short and the super breaky bowl was total false advertising! It was supposed to be Acai based and it was bright pink clearly full of raspberry powder and little to no acai, it was so obvious by appearance then taste... it was also sooooo runny it was like a bowl of pink raspberry soup =(<br/>The waitress however was amazing, polite, cheerful and doing the best she can with what she has to work with.<br/>Sorry guys, won't be visiting again, my 2 points review is only for the waitress!

Used to be better, but service was embarrassingly poor, especially since i brought some visitors with me. Doubt i would return, just like the waitress who never returned with cutlery we asked for. Dissapointing to say the least. <br/>

Overall terrible experience. Ordered entree and mains, all came together despite telling the waitress we wanted them separate. When mentioning this to the waitress her response was ‘yeh I know’. The food looked awful. Ordered a salad which all I can say tasted like oil. Burger was thrown together with zero effort. Spoke to the manager who was equally as unhelpful so we decided to leave and walked down to another restaurant. Poor service and equally poor quality food

Burgers were very good and sweet potato chips were nice. Ended up leaving full and good customer service. I had the Mr otato head burger and was definitely satisfying and one of the best burgers ive had in Perth 👍

Never again. Ordered thru uber eats and food was cold, chips were delivered in a paper bag all soggy not even a box. soft drinks delivered in coffee cups which were watered down when we were promised 500ml soft drinks.

Good, friendly service. Not keen on the decor. Toilets very cramped. Naked sunset mocktail was delicious. Squid & avo salad was ok but the squid rings were far too thick for my liking and I would have preferred more avo.

Ordered UberEATS it took an hour and a half to arrive. One of the staff members called to let me know she had given the uber driver the wrong meal and ours would be late which was fine by us. The problem was when the meal finally arrived it was bone cold! When I called to express my concerns the lady said to me "oh yeh I knew it would be cold", so why send it I asked? When I left my review on the FB page I got an extremely unprofessional response from the management. Rubbish food, rubbish staff, rubbish attitude. Would not order from then again nor would I recommend it.

Sat for ten minutes and after being ignored. No menu. No nothing! Others ariving after me being looked after. I got up and left. Maybe it's good food but you have to order to know!

Waited an hour for cold nachos, some kind of parmi that was most likely microwaved with a bit of ham (if you can even call it that, the dog wouldn't even eat it). Also had the squid/avocado salad which was ridiculous, squid was slimy, rocket was limp, the salad was hotter then nachos?! <br/>Let's just say they don't put connect four on the tables for fun, it's to distract you from shit food.

I have been here a few times and the first couple had great experiences. Loved the breakfast menu especially the smashed avocado was delicious and very good fresh juices. Only issue the last time I visited my vegetarian sister ordered poached eggs with no ham and was served a meal with extra ham and no poached eggs. The waitress seemed extremely unexperienced and refused to accept that she had made a mistake and would not take the ham away. Was very disappointed with her attitude and the whole experience. It is averaged priced as well, not super cheap or expensive.

Good location, clean with friendly staff. Good coffee, efficient, never waiting too long👍food is well priced with some usual mixtures that tastes good!have been here a couple of times and never disappointed.

Another Scarborough location that has recently had a makeover.<br/>The food is basic but tasty  - its not pretending to be fancy and has a nice relaxed feel. The staff were really friendly and the coffee is good - did I mention $8 pints of Tiger??? We had the big Kahuna breakfast, sliders, Shack burger and pancakes for desert all tasted good and was well priced especially compared to the other restaurants in the area.

Went here for lunch last Tuesday with a group of approx 8 of us. Waitress seemed flustered and inexperienced. She forgot to add two of our meals to the order so we had I wait at least an extra 30min. Barely an apology from staff, the manager rudely explained they don't split bills and didn't bother addressing the situation. Food was ok but overpriced.

I went to the Local Shack for a meeting regarding a potential job opportunity on a Thursday afternoon. The General manager must have thought he was included in this meeting, and more than once abruptly interrupted us to see how my long black was. The venue should consider changing the Long Blacks name to 'Nescafé blend weak sauce' (dirt + mildly warm water). I did not consent to the dog bowl size mug which I was given. Anyway didn't get the job. Blaming the overall ambience of the Shack. And the other party fronted the bill so not all bad (that's where I placed my 1 star). Please note didn't try the food. I am however suspicious of any venue which names food in such a way that it could only appeal to a toddler for example: 'squidy squidy' and 'here cous cous'

Disappointing! The service was slow, food was cold and a member of our table found a large hair in her food. It seemed a bit frantic on the day we were there but the frantic response to the busyness made our Sunday morning 'chilled out' brekkie anything but chilled out.

I came here for breakfast recently and was amazed by how great the service was. We were seen to as soon as we came in, they made us feel very welcome and let us sit at any table we wanted. Drinks came quick - the coffee was nice and hot. Our food was delicious; we ordered Eggs Benedict and Eggs your way with mushrooms - boy they were generous with the portions! They checked up on us during our meals to ensure we were happy which shows that they care! We will definitely be returning.

Have had good food before, but went in for coffee the other night and it was beyond awful. Was given half a cup of foam and the rest was watery and tasteless, with very little coffee. No one ever seems to know what they are doing on that coffee machine... Luckily health freak next door always provides quality coffee!! The staff were also very unsubtle about wanting us to leave, even though it was only 7;45 and they are meant to shut at 9!

I hang out here with some friends about every two or three months sharing tales, jokes and life's big questions.<br/><br/>It's got that classic relaxed vibe you find in Scarborough. <br/><br/>The pizza and wedges work well with the beers and wine and I generally walk home feeling satisfied with my lot in life.<br/><br/>Worth a visit.

One beautiful day me and wifey and in-laws decided to drive down to Scarborough. After a short walk on the beach, we decided to have lunch at this place called The Local Shack. We were soon greeted by the most friendly (and charming I must admit) staff there guiding us to our table and taking our orders.<br/><br/>While the family ordered some breakfast menu, I decided to be adventurous and ordered the sliders (3 mini burgers a $17). I love them. Yes it came a bit smaller then what I expected but still the 3 small burgers gave out large taste. They have so many different choices so I was a bit confused on what to order. Finally, I ordered one mushroom, one beef and one chicken one. I like the beef ones (I think it was called the mexicana). I wish it was bigger. The mushroom burger (called Magic Mushie) was great too and I love the fact that they use creamy brie cheese.<br/><br/>So apparently The Local Shack is famous for their chips that they name it Shack Famous Chips. Being a big fan of chips with cheese, I immediately ordered the Burn Baby Burn. The portion was big and the roasted pepper and chilli sauce was amazing. However, I was a bit dissappointed because everything was stuck together and the cheese was not runny.<br/><br/>For drink, I tried the $5 vanilla shakes with whipped cream. No regret there!

Great service, decent food and a variety of cocktails to choose from. We had a wonderful time here with our three children.They have a number of board games to keep people entertained while offering a relaxed, chilled out venue that attracts a wide variety of clients. They claim that they serve tapas but there are hardly any dishes to choose from. We ordered the squid -- the combination of sweet chilli sauce (tasted like it came straight from the bottle; not made in the premises) and watermelon didn't work -- and the chicken wings -- bland and overcooked.

Came here for brunch, waitress took our drink order then came back about 10mins later and told us she got distracted and forgot what we asked for and took our order again. I then ordered the smashed avo and asked for gluten free toast. It was really average, the bread was soggy and barely toasted, and pretty sure it was Coles brand gluten free bread. I could've made it better myself. The coffee was good, probably won't eat here again though.

I understand that this is casual dining to the max and that I was probably expecting too much but please fix your hollandaise! It was bordering on inedible but has taught me the valuable lesson of not ordering breakfast from one of these eateries. This being said however the location is lovely and relaxed and the juice I had was lovely. Would return but only for drinks.

Visiting Perth and came across this delight with my husband and kids! What an amazing place. The beach theme interior, board games and the energetic staff. We ordered the nemo and chips, here squidy squidy, vanilla and chocolate milkshakes for the kids. On the grill steak and alotta goodness with chicken for hubby and I.<br/>Where do I start😍 the flavour of the meals and the milkshakes👌 I'll defiantly be back Friday night for ladies night! The sliders and flavoured vodkas are amazing! Been there a few times now, and it's been great every time. I lashed out and got the fish and chips the other night, they leave a bit to be desired, quite oily and needed a little side salad. But it's definitely a fortnightly treat for our household.

I looooooovvvvveeeee this place 😊😊👏👏 coolest cafe environment-energetic staff, great location right by the beach, rocking tunes and interior plus old school board games to play while you eat. To top it all off, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Best burger I have ever had! Magic Mushie even tops Grillds burgers. Melted Brie, homemade mayo and beetroot chutney, salad and the biggest portobello I have ever seen! I was in heaven haha 😍 their mushy and sweet potato salad with goats cheese is also fab. There is plenty of things to share too including nacho fries, pizzas and the famous alcoholic watermelon drink! They have plenty of unique dishes too such as a pancake bacon and egg burger...not my cup of tea but at least the options there 😂 Although it's a bit of a wait for food on a Sunday the board games are a good distraction. Came to the Shack for dinner last Friday with my partner. We were seated by a friendly waitress who let me know that they were serving $10 cocktails for the ladies! <br/> To eat we went for the sliders, 3 small burgers on a rustic board. I chose the blushing aussie, the sweet fire and the rome falls. We got a side of sweet potato wedges, probably the nicest ones we've had since being in scarborough.<br/> My partner got three different sliders and we swapped half of each burger with each other so we could try them all!<br/> My favourites were the blushing aussie and the sweet fire for the delicious beetroot relish!<br/> Great atmosphere, and I love the games they have on each table to pass the time while you're waiting for your food!

I went to The Local Shack over the weekend and had a great experience. The atmosphere is really chilled and the service was very good considering how busy they were. the pancakes were a winner and the coffee is was amazing. I will definitely be returning to try the burgers.

What a awesome little spot and the best part is, they do all day breakfast!! Went there with a couple of friends on Boxing Day and was looked after by very friendly and helpful staff. Good food at a very good price also.... Winner

Popped in on a Friday night with a group of 7. We were swiftly seated and was told it was ladies night with $10 cocktails. Winning! We ordered burgers and enjoyed the cheap cocktails. This place was a great find ... Where else can you get cocktails for $10 at a beach side location on a Friday night??? Burgers were great too and staff super friendly and attentive.

We went there for lunch the other day and had some great burgers and wedges. Good atmosphere, service and location. Loved the games available to play while we ate there. Will definitely be going back for more. Good stuff.

Super impressed with The Local Shack, Scarborough!! Such a great spot, close to the beach and a really relaxed atmosphere to chill out and enjoy some good food, games and drinks. I'll be telling friends about this place! Oh, and did I mention it was great value too?! Good times.

Sooooooo over priced for what you get!!! OMG really a $17.00 cheeseburger that tasted horrible!! No sides provided either.  The burger meat tasted cheap.  Milk shake was great though.  Wouldn't go back for burgers that for sure.

A good old steak sandwich or real beef burger with some fries and nice cold crisp beer is always good value overlooking the pretty Scarborough beach.

Firefight burger - Gourmet beef patty, cheese, salad, roasted pepper & chilli sauce, italian herb and olive aioli with jalapenos. 4/10 decent burger but didn't deserve the name - not hot enough. Only a few jalapeños and chilli sauce was more of a salsa. Cool hangout with games, probably a good spot for cocktails on a warm day or night

I cruised down to Scarborough for breakie with a mate and settled on The local shack for a quick breakfast. Most reviews have been pretty damning but I gotta say, breakfast was good, Mind you I only ordered the breakfast burger, which had a meat patty added and a juice. The burger was real good .The waitress was friendly and the fitout is ok. The lack of sunlight is a bit of a downer but hell! I'll come back again for that breakfast burger for sure.

Servings were very small and very over priced for their quality and lacked any flavour. I will never be eating here again, nor would I suggest anyone else does.

The service is friendly, and the food is good. The waitstaff are very accommodating. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. The prices are average, but there is a good variety of food to choose from. The chocolate milkshake ($5) is very good. However, the piece of mudcake is bad value - $8.50 for a small square.

BEST PLACE IN PERTH - BEST SERVICE, FOOD & GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS. On a recent trip to Perth I found this gem, they also have a shop in Murray Street and Joondalup. Coming from Melbourne I had high expectations and this place was by far the ONLY place I ate while visiting.<br/>The service was top notch, a great atmosphere and fun with the games on the tables.<br/>The Food was amazing we ate here for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and also stopped in one night for Cocktails.<br/>The Breakfast Menu is great loads of options, you can get Gluten Free Bread also. The mushrooms were my favourite.<br/>Lunch & Dinner Options - Where do I start, Burgers are the best I have eaten so many different types even a few different vegetarian options which were amazing. Pizzas, and salads. The Sweet Potato Salad was so tasty and full of flavour. Pizzas and Burgers also have Gluten Free options which certainly didn't lack in flavour or quality.<br/>Great juices, cocktails were amazing and a good selection of wine and beer. <br/>The coffee is the only place I will visit to get coffee it is made with love and always spot on.<br/>I would highly recommend this place for any dining options for family or a catch up, Great Prices, Food & Service.<br/>Thank you!

The Local Shack is perfectly situated on Scarborough beach front. There is outdoor and indoor seating available and most tables have a game of some sort to entertain you. There is a new menu to entice customers old and new to The Local Shack. It is definitely a huge improvement on the previous menu and the prices are extremely reasonable.<br/>You can find The Local Shack in the city and a new outlet in Joondalup.<br/>We were here for breakfast on a quiet Friday morning. On first glance at the menu, I wasn’t sure what to order, there were quite a few great choices.

Have been here twice these Easter holidays and might even make it a third. Very friendly and efficient service and the food was delicious. Huge portion sizes, esp breakfast and very flexible with menu. Love the games as well. Perfect way to keep us all entertained and relaxed while on holiday.

I'm not sure how this place only got 58%.... We went to Yelo yesterday which got 83% but The Local Shack was ten times better! Friendly staff, cool, relaxed vibe, and good food. Plus, very fairly priced. Definitely recommend this place

Coffee and connect four- breakfast of champions!. Went for dinner last night, enjoyed it so much we went for breakfast this morning! The food was spot on, on both occasions, the coffees this morning were absolutely perfect, we even got a second round to take away! The service we received was exceptional, although I did notice other tables that did not receive such attentive service but all staff were working their butts off! Love the feel and atmosphere of the place and both the drinks and food menus are phenomenal, the only down side for us was the bell! The bar had a bell, the kitchen had a bell, if any food or drinks were put up the staff rang the bell at least 3 times, then 30 seconds later would ring it another 3 times, may I suggest these crazy bell ringers respect their fellow staff members and ring the bell just once! It's a small place, they can definitely hear it!!!i certainly heard it, to the point where it became irrational and extremely irritating!

Very pleasant brunch. I love when a place like this has an "All Day Everything" menu.<br/>We had a mix of breakfast items with a Caesar Salad and a "Caveman" Pizza plus a few drinks.<br/>Every food item was very nice, the only real misstep was a thoroughly over-sweet vanilla milkshake.<br/>Otherwise, reasonable prices, service was perfectly adequate and I will be back again!

Wow, pleasantly surprised. We called in for a very late breakfast (3pm) on Saturday. <br/>Really pleased that we did. The young women serving were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was very good and, in our opinion, excellent value. Coffee and hot chocolate were also on the mark. <br/>Don't think I'm tempted by their whole vodka infused watermelon but will be back again.

WORST SQUID. So my partner and I decided to go the local shack for dinner.. Honestly the worst quality squid I have ever eaten in my life. Did not look appealing at all, and I chewed on the rubbery squid for about a minute before I could swallow it. <br/>Service is not that great either! <br/>Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat out in scarborough!

The updated menu is fab and the staff are exceptional. Such a cool atmosphere with great prices. 10/10 would recommend.

Need to lift their game. Went there on a quiet Friday morning after New Year's Day. First, the good: friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. Now the not-so-good: they got our orders wrong, despite our pointing to the items on the menu (maybe the music was too loud at 7:30 a.m. in the morning!); the avocado smash came out on stone-cold toasted sourdough and had little or no taste - same for the "Sprouted Goodness", in which the sprouts and tomato weren't very fresh or good. Pretty pricey for what we got. May give it another go in the future, but they need to lift their game.

New Years Day Lunch. We went to The Shack for lunch today. We were a little disappointed. Two of us ordered eggs and both dishes were over cooked which was a little disappointing. <br/>The prices are good though.

This place has so much potential but lacks in professional hospitality staff. On a quiet Boxing Day afternoon when they are probably getting paid penalty rates, two female staff members could not even get me a jug of water and after asking both members for a jug of water they both replied 'there is a water station over there, help yourself'. Nowhere ever got a good reputation with an approach like that, people pay good money for a product, a service and a smile would be nice. However these staff members could not wait to leave and enjoy the rest of their nights instead, I would recommend leaving the jobs for people who appreciate it and can comfortably run a jug of water to a table without making a big deal about it. I will return soon to see if it is any better but if not I would actively tell people not to waste their money there.

Pancake Burgers?!. The evening starts well as we stroll into this deceptively large restaurant with its cool, eclectic vibe. Thinking; this place has the potential to be a Scarborough icon.<br/>The staff are cheerful and enthusiastic. When I order the fish and chips, I am told that it is a great choice as they are currently half price, "Half price - is the frozen fish out of date?" I cheekily ask, the waitress happily responds "well, almost". <br/>Fifteen minutes after ordering our mains, the same waitress comes over and says "Great news guys! We have run out of burger buns and we will make up the burgers with pancakes" we laugh, thinking this is her idea of a crazy joke.<br/>But no, she is serious. <br/>As the majority of our group have ordered burgers and are too hungry to argue, we consider this acceptable.<br/>The pancake burgers arrive and as we start eating them we realise that the pancakes are the sweet style for dessert or breakfast and most of them are left uneaten. So if you are reading this review this morning and planned on having breakfast here, be warned, you may find that they have run out pancakes.<br/>It's not all bad, as the fish & chips are pretty good ($8.50) and the really good news is the bill, as we negotiate a $180 reduction and leave the place laughing at the bizarre way a relatively new venue is so poorly managed.

Customer service!. Does anyone speak English there? After asking 10 times for a drink I still had to go up to the manager looking lady and ask her. I felt like I have to get my own pad and write my order down. I do understand that we have foreigns working in hospitality which is nice but seriously this a bad customer service if you can't have a word with your waiter/waitress. They would probably not even understand if people are allergic to some food.

Breakfast, had the smashed avocado with goats cheese on rye bread. Very stingy on both. Totally overpriced for what they gave me. Coffee was barely average. Would not go again. Funky decor though.

Dont get the mussels. Terrible chilli mussels. Couldnt even call the sauce a soup. More like dish water. Very salty. Lucky no spoon handy to eat with.

Will not be back!. Went there for dinner about 6months ago and the food was very very average and so overpriced, we didn't have a good experience at all.<br/>This morning, with a group of friends we decided to give it another shot and try they breakfast menu: we were all so disappointed! They brough us the wrong coffees (when they eventually gave us the ones we ordered, the quality wasn't there, tasted burnt, and no froth!). Juice glasses are not even filled to the top and basically 3/4 is ice! <br/>The breakfast menu looks very nice on paper but when our plates arrived... WHAT A JOKE!!!! <br/>My "smashed avo with goat's cheese" was 3 pieces of thin cheap untoasted bread with avocado spread on it as if it was butter (im sure it wasnt even 1/4 of an avocado) and my side of poached egg was just yolk no white! My friend's "sweet pancakes" was huge but impossible to eat as to was so thick and dense.<br/>Service was very poor too, no costumer service, no smile and never been asked how our food was!<br/>Not worth coming back, go to other cafes on Sackville Tce or Brigthon Rd for much better value and service!

Exceptional food and service. Had the raging bull, beautifully cooked steak mr just how I like it, the staff where very friendly and happy, the atmosphere close to the beach was very good, definitely a place I would recommend to anyone after good food and drinks,

Great Chilli Mussels. Just spent the afternoon at the Shack, eating and having a great time despite the weather. I ordered the Entrée size Chilli Mussels and a burger. The mussels were awesome and the burger was really tasty. Good way to spend a rainy day, great food and great service. Will definitely being going back to the Shack.

Amazing service and incredible food. Absolutely loved this place. The staff were friendly and we didn't wait long for food or drinks. The food was the best I'd had for that price in a while. I went for dinner and had one of the burgers. I could not recommend this place enough. Thanks for being so welcoming and hospitable!

Made a booking - table wasn't reserved. All down hill from there . Dips served in plastic KFC containers. Bubbles not much better. Best decision we made was to go else where in Scarb. This would be my last choice to dine out in Scarb.

Terrible service, terrible attitude. Our juices and coffees were ordered first and never came, even though we asked twice whether they were coming. No gluten free options on the menu and they wanted us to pay extra to swap bread for something else. The wait staff were extremely rude when asked about this. At the end of the meal we complained to the manager who didnt offer any apology for the mix up of our order. Never eating there again. Go across the road to Boho, better food better service.

I have nothing really positive to say - went there for a burger and meh, went there for brekky because Boho was closed and meh again...service is terrible.

Coffee wasn't great. Haven't eaten here so can't comment further. Keen to try the cocktails but won't be going back for coffee.

1st time here on busy public holiday morning. Coffee well priced but not great. Chips great. Staff very friendly and attentive. Hamburger dry. Had run out of decaf and problem in kitchen so no pizza. At least this cafe was open. Several others around here are closed. Can't believe that in s busy long weekend!

Waited over an hour for breakfast. Saw the chef walk out on a busy Sunday morning at around 10 am, patrons left waiting for breakfast got over an hour.. The poor staff had to cop the flak for the kitchen being slow. Really disappointed really unprofessional on the chefs behalf.

Long wait. No service.. I live locally and have been wanting to try this place for a while. Unfortunately I was disappointed. We waited 25 minutes with no table service. I approached the counter (which wasn't busy) and asked if we could place our order. Was told sure, then ignored for another 10 minutes while the waitress did paperwork. In the end we got up and left. I can understand if it was busy but it really wasn't. In the 35 minutes we were there without so much as table water, we heard several complaints from other tables. Won't be going back it reccomending this place to guests.

Never NOT been happy here. Have been here 12 times now & always had a good feed. well priced for the area and quality of food has never let me down. here burgers aren't just burgers they are home made and flavors are well mixed with a pleasant result. as a chef myself I love eating out and this place hits the spot

Breakfast. Went for breakfast, waited 25minutes for coffee, hot breakfast was left waiting in kitchen for 15mins, poached eggs were barely cooked, scrambled eggs were more like fried eggs, pancakes were rubbery... Floor staff not helpful...<br/>Wouldn't waste your time on this shack .

Been waiting for about an hour so far for a burger. Only offered 1 drink and watching a staff of around 10 run around in mindless circles while the rest of them touch everyone's food at the servery checking the contents. This place is poxy...

Popped down for breaky today (Sunday) with my partner. Great floor staff! This place was absolutely packed but food was worth of waiting, we maybe waited 20 mins but coffees and fresh juices were served quickly! <br/>Defo will go back and recommend it to my mates. Cool place and atmosphere

Seriously good.. Dropped by because it was near the hotel and nothing else looked that great. Got lunch the first day and breakfast the next. <br/><br/>The food is pretty amazing (especially the chips). The staff are seriously lovely and relaxed.

Never again. Thought my wife and I would give this place it's fourth and final chance ...<br/><br/>Sadly this was the worst of our experiences.<br/><br/>It took 30 minutes to get a drink. Next was my wife getting her meal 15 minutes before me. Food was ok.<br/><br/><br/>People at the next table left because they weren't getting served and those behind us said their hamburgers were cold.<br/><br/>Given it a few chances now but never again.<br/><br/>By the way, I feel sorry for the young staff who are poorly trained and managed.<br/><br/>Cheers

Microwaved pizza. We are returning customers! Loved this place, the feel, vibe, customer service and drinks. Have been there several times. First time tonight we decided to try their "wood fired" pizzas, as in the past we stuck with burgers. Well the pizza came out cold! The mozzarella cheese on it was not even melted and still in its original shredded form. The base was soggier than I would expect from reheated supermarket pizza and both of our pizzas lacked flavour. It used to be we would tell people the shack was the place to go in Scarborough. Not any more. We may go back, but will steer well clear of the pizza.

Currently waiting one hour for Pancakes.<br/>I would leave but out of curiosity I'm going to actually see how many other people get served around me while I wait for Pancakes.<br/>Must be hard mixing flour and water

Amazing food and awesome service!. We came down to the shack for a friends birthday and had a really good night. I'm not a huge fan of burgers, but thought i'd might as well give it a go. I ordered the Moroccan lamb burger and it tasted absolutely amazing. The seasoning on the burger was just right, and the bun was stacked with lots of goodness. And it was very well presented. I also ordered their famous shack chips, and now I know why they are famous. They have this herb looking seasoning on it and are really morish. I could not put them down. We also shared a few entrees like their chilli mussels, nachos and salt and pepper squid. Again we weren't disappointed. The mussels were very tasty and had a nice kick to them. The food was delivered in a timely manner and the staff were very attentive and were great fun. We loved the laid back look of the place and the decor is pretty cool too. <br/><br/>When our bill arrived we were genuinely surprised as thought it would be much more as we all had a few beers and shared entrees and had mains for under $50. <br/><br/>I will definitely be coming back here again without a doubt.

THE LOCAL SHACK ROCKS!. My bestie introduced me to this place when I was visiting from Sydney, and it's now become part of our routine to dine in whenever I return to Perth. My mouth waters when I get the menu, and time and time again I inevitably order the awesome chili mussels. They are simply made to perfection, hats off to the cook! Another favorite is the nachos - they're the perfect consistency. Even the coffee is perfection. <br/><br/>The waitstaff are observant and considerate, yet not in-your-face-annoying. UGHHHH I wish there was a Local Shack in Sydney!

I have been a local at the shack. To date have been enjoying the food. Not sure if there is a new chef, but in the past week the food has declined significantly. Went down there tonight and ordered a mafia hit pizza ... Possibly the worst pizza I have ever possibly ordered. Cardboard would have been better. Bland topping, burnt and cold. Very very dissappointing for the second time lately! If I go back certainly will be staying away from the pizza !!!

Disappointed I ordered the.... Disappointed <br/>I ordered the steak salad with brie and walnuts. I told the waitress I had a peanut allergy but that walnuts were fine. I was served a salad without walnuts and with only one small slice of brie. Then when I asked for someone water for the table, the waitress then proceeded to get some but I can only assume she was told otherwise by a manager and came and told the table that if we wanted water the jugs and glasses were around the corner. Then the birthday cake came out with candles on top that they couldn't even bother to light.<br/>Toilets are a disgrace. Dirty, no toilet paper. 1 of 3 was blocked, the other no toilet paper with hand smears on the wall and with such a dim light, one assumes to try and hide it's disgusting appearance

Shocking. I visited The Shack yesterday with the view of taking friends there later in the week. However, I was very disappointed by myexperience there. The food we were served was inedible, the service non-existant, and the ambiance and decor are not up to much, especially if you sit out the back in the dark. Added to this was the loud music early in the morning whilst diners were trying to have a leisurely and relaxed breakfast on a Sunday morning. The music would not have been out of place in a night club and seemed to be there solely for the enjoyment of the disinterested staff.<br/><br/>Whilst we complained at the time the waitress we spoke to simply shrugged her shoulders, whilst another said that the owner was away and probably wouldn't care what we thought.<br/><br/>Needless to say we will not be going back, even though we live closeby, and I certainly don't recommend it as the whole place seems to be totally uninterested in its customers. I thorough recommend The Sandbar across the road where you will get better meals and service.

Decided to treat my family at the shack. Worst mistake I could have done. Walked in with no greeting, waitress walking straight past me so we decided to sit our selfs down... 30 mins later we finally get asked if we would like anything.. obviosuly we would! Ordered our meals and cocktails. (Cocktails were ok) minding our own business than I hear people yelling room the kitchen? I dont know what was happening but i think if there was a poblem solve it out the back or treat your employees with respect.. finally got our burnt beef patty..didnt finish the rest just got up and left. Worst experience ever!

What a joke!<br/>Just to remind yourself of how bad Perth can be, drop into the shack.<br/>We walked up to see the sign that says "Wait to be seated" which basically says stay outside and we may come to you in a while. Not a good start. Disinterested waiter comes over and says "What do you want" well a table might be a start you moron! Looks around at the 50 empty seats as if we cant fit you in and says how about over there....meaning the uncleared table against the wall. We sit down and he grabs the plates and goes back to the Kitchen where he stays to have his drink without coming back. We glance at the disgustingly stained and dirty menus crunched up in a box with screwed up napkins and un arranged cutlery. Looks like you could get food poisoning from the table let alone the food. Eventually a female backpacker comes over and struggles with simple english and we ask for sparkling mineral water. We don't have that! Tap water is over there she says serve yourself. We question her again. You don't have mineral water? No we have post mix soda water at $4 per glass. Amazed we ask for coke in glass bottles. We only have post mix is the reply! <br/>At this point we say lets leave and go to Leederville and eat at Jus Burgers which we did.<br/>What a joke of a venue!<br/>Dirty, rude staff, pathetic really walked out did not even bother to order.<br/>Looks like Scarborough will be feral forever regardless of what opens there.<br/>Should rename it Balga by the sea!<br/>Go to Leederville and don't waste your time with the Feral Shack......

Only gluten free options are salad. Yawn. Even grilled manages to have gf buns. Who goes to a burger joint for a salad anyways? Big thumbs down. Will never eat here.

An absolute nightmare from start to finish. Sat down and seen the muni change. Wasn't as good which was dissapointing but get ordered anyway. Wait staff could barley speak English or carry anything without dropping it. Obvious they were all underpaid and pissed off back packers. I ordered the shack muesli which said it came with honey and seasonal fruit, sounds yummy right. Not. Came out dry, bland, with no honey and a slice of Apple on top. That does not cut, sent it back and told them I wasn't paying for it. Gross. Partners hollandaise sauce was also bad. Service was awful but then it is Perth and good set I've is hard to come by. Awful place, putting that in the same bucket as the wild fog round the corner. AVOID!!

Lousy Coffee. Disinterested manager, who sat out front playing with his computer while I was complaining to the barely interested waitress about the lousy coffee , which lacked body and flavour. He looked at me as though I spat at him, rather than jump off hist stool and investigate. Been here 3 times. No more - there are plenty of other places nearby who serve excellent coffee and food.

Good location,food was nice but really small portions.My only real winge is whydo you provide high chairs and colouring pens and paper but don't have a kids menu? Is it because your portion's are kid's size?

Went there on a Thursday for a burger, we sat and were told to move whichwas fine but then no one took our order for about 15 mins, 2 staff members were smoking around the corner which to me is disgusting that u can visibly see people making and serving your food having a fag out the front! The burgers came and they were nice but something was odd about the whole experience!! Prob won't go back I like grilled better....

Trendy and tasty. We visited the Local Shack after the Birds of Tokyo concert at 10pm, in February and was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was still serving dinner. Very impressive. We had friendly table service and the atmosphere was great. The decor was different and refreshing, with lovely pictures on the walls of old Scarborough, a tin ceiling and wooden panels on the walls. Very vintage and beachy. <br/>The food and drinks were lovely and tasty and were served quickly considering how busy it was. The wait staff were attentive and asked if we were happy with the meals, which was very thoughtful. The staff member taking our payment was very friendly and had great customer service. We will be returning and highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Great service however over priced for what you get. Salads are especially very small. Burgers were good but nothing special- cheaper to go to grill'd a few shops away. Ordered the giant watermelon cocktail- yummy however very weak on alcohol for the price of it (even though the waiter said it was strong, it wasn't!!)<br/>Would return if nothing else open however wouldn't recommend

Worst service I've ever experienced. We went to this café when it first opened and found the service at that time somewhat lacking and disorganized. We waited considerable time to be served and had wrong plates constantly sent to our table (which also appeared on our bill) but being it's opening week, we overlooked and forgave this as teething problems. With that in mind, we made the mistake of giving this café another try only to find the place was still a complete shambles.<br/><br/>It took wait staff over 25 minutes to serve us after being seated, and this was only because of several attempts to wave one down. Then once we made our order, we waited a further 30 minutes with not even a drink from our order being brought to our table. We questioned a passing staff member and they couldn't even find where our order was, or if it had been entered for the bar and kitchen staff to do. we ended up walking out in disgust after waiting an hour for nothing<br/><br/>Watching the café operate laughable. Staff appeared to be running around like headless chooks not really knowing what to do or where to go next. Several tables within our vicinity were also complaining about dishes missing from their orders and waiting ridiculous amounts of time for things to be served. A table directly behind us had all but one person receive there food and when it was brought to a staff members attention, it still took another 25 minutes before they had to again wave down a staff member to recheck on the status of that food - it never arrived.<br/><br/>I would never go to this place again, nor would I recommend anyone to dine there. While some may argue they were busy, if you can't manage the amount of tables you have in your premises, then you need to remove some to bring it to a number that is manageable by both wait and kitchen staff.<br/><br/>An absolutely terrible place to eat - if you get served

Had a great experience here! Went for lunch yesterday and the staff were supper friendly and accommodating to our requests! Food was great none of us could finish our meals we were so full! Cute decor and atmosphere!

Terrible service poor food.menu not designed for ease of understanding of what will come to your table. And staff not trained to fix requests or even understand problems that may occur. Dont go not worth anyone time or money for that matter

Service friendly and quick. In fact pizza came out so quickly I wonder if it was leftovers heated up. Burger tasty but McCain pizza just as good as the soprano we ordered. Chilli chicken wings just tasted like bottle sweet chilli sauce. Apple pie martini was gross. Couldn't drink it and asked maitre d to remove it. He asked why so I told him gross and smothered in cinnamon. He graciously took it off our bill. We live in the are so had to try this place but won't be back. What a waste

Disappointed. Went there today for lunch, seemed like a cool place to try, service was ok but the food pretty average, i had fish and chips, only 1 piece of fish which i found underwhelming, most places will give you two good portions of fish. Partner had the burger which she said was ok. we shared the bbq wings which again unfortunately were very bland and seemed under cooked, didnt finish them!!<br/>had 2 milkshakes which must have been around $9 each as the total bill came to $61 which is very pricey for the food. And to top it off if you want to pay by credit card there is a surcharge!!! WTF... get with the times people, everyone uses card.<br/>all in all it was just plain average, unfortunately!!! seems typical of Perth eateries...

Way below average. The place was decked out great but very average food. Burger buns were burned and coulda got better from hjs. And was so looking forward to having a fresh pear salad in the heat but bitterly disappointed as the pears, lychees n beetroot were canned products!! Plus i reckon the leaves came pre packaged from coles. Fail

Would definitely recommend. We had drinks and something to eat there on Friday afternoon. Perfect location, we sat outside the staff were great, very attentive and friendly. We ordered some tapas which was very tasty and then we ordered a burger each. Burgers were great! Unfortunately our table had been booked so we had to move but the staff kindly found us another table inside. Would definitely go back and recommend to my friends

Very poor. Called to Local shack 8 pm 15th January ordered 3 burgers waited 24 mins. to arrive. all 3 where under cooked. one person ordered spicy, but said it was very bland. what a shame for a new place to not be up to standard and lose custom from day one never to return. recommend Grilled just down the road.

Where's the service?. Dined on saturday lunch time. Yes they were a little busy but not all tables occupied. Told to sit where we liked. Chose a table in the back area...and waited...and waited...after 10 minutes of no one coming over to even give us water or acknowledge that we were there we had to go up and ask to be served. Orders came out fine but unfortunately the burgers were cold and seemed to be slopped together. A bit disappointed as could have gone over to the sandbar and paid more but get better service and hot food! Chips were yummy though but I wont go back for hot chips.

Good food. The chips were pretty damn great. Service was less than average. Kept trying to get waiters attention and we weren't the only ones, someone from the table outside had to go to the counter to ask to be served.

Casual friendly venue with a funky beach vibe that is great for a relaxed non-pretentious feed.. Food : Its a new place and yes the pizza oven sometimes isn't working. Three of my mates had great burgers very large. The chips are awesome and really tasty. I had a lovely chicken Caesar salad that was so cheep I couldn't believe it. The menu has burgers and chips, pizza, salads and tapas. <br/>Drinks: Amazing extensive menu and reasonably priced for the area. Even had a bit of fun with absinthe.<br/>Staff and Venue: Its a great relaxed local venue brilliant addition to Scarborough. Its fun and casual and they don't mind you being a little loud. The staff are great and obviously enjoy there job and don't mind spending time chatting to you. They even came out and said they were closing the kitchen and did we want anything else I have been to up market places who don't have the same courtesy. <br/>There is no WIFI but really get of ya bloody phone and enjoy life. <br/>I think this may be my new fav local its a casual friendly venue with a funky beach vibe that is great for a relaxed non-pretentious feed or maybe just drinks and tapas.

This place is misleading. Ordered a cocktail that was $35 for a small cocktail. The manager or who ever it was didn't tell us it was $35 and there was no price. At the end we ended paying. What a total joke! They didn't try to resolve it at all. Very poor customer service.

Great addition to Scarborough. Went for friday drinks and a burger. Mojito was great and the burger was really fresh. Service was really friendly and prompt. The decor is cool decked out like a fishing shack. They are still ironing out a few issues the pizza oven and sometimes running out of things but all in all really enjoyable casual dining and cocktails!

Really really really wanted to like this place it looks trendy and chilled out but the breakfast was a disaster. 4 of went in and they didnt get one order right. We never got our coffees, half the food was missing, told the guy we never got coffees, still didnt get them told him about the food, bacon was brought out when we were leaving and then he pawned us off to another waiter to pay and we felt like the bad ones. Don't think I'd chance it again

Great experience. We had a great lunch at the local shack! We were wandering around Scarborough looking for somewhere to eat and the menu here looked good with decent prices, so we went in, it's very vintage style and dimly lit which gives a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great! It came out within minutes, the service was so efficient. Their chips with aioli is a must try, they are covered in herbs and are absolutely delicious. Also the salad with mango chutney, sounds strange but tastes very good. A great place to eat all round!

Great value for money! Not the healthiest food but extensive food and drink menus and super friendly staff. Bit noisy inside but loved the unique decor.

Not up to the standards of its local competitors.. My partner and I live in Scarborough and go out for coffee and breakfast at least twice a week. We decided to try The Local Shack to see what it has to offer.<br/>Unfortunately it is not to the standards of many of its local competitors.<br/>It is both a bar and a restaurant, but fails to provide a good breakfast service.<br/><br/>On the positive side, the service is fast and efficient. The waitress was quick in getting our order and the food was served fast.<br/>The food was also good despite the very small servings.<br/>I like the decor of old photos of Scarborough and old household items.<br/>The location is good with great local parking.<br/><br/>The problems with the Local Shack is<br/>There is no wifi for customers. This is a requirement for modern coffee shops.<br/>I was also charged extra to pay by credit card. This is disappearing from other local restaurants and they need to change it if they want to get returning customers<br/>The final complaint is the size of the servings. I ordered a coffee in a mug ("the largest you have"). The mugs were very small and not much bigger than a standard 250 mg cup size used in cooking. The main coarse was also small. Despite this, the price was similar to that at other local restaurants. The bill would have been higher if I had ordered another cup of coffee.<br/><br/>I won't be going back for breakfast due to the better standards and value from other local restaurants ( such as Dome and Wild Fig).

Originally from Melbourne and Just had breakfast at the local shack, bacon and eggs and my sisters order of scrambled eggs with avocado. Both meals were Delish and were delivered promptly! Very friendly staff with the barista being very happy with the ice chocolates we ordered- and so he should be. No complaints here!

Bit of a let down! Awesome location but service and quality needs to lift. Possible backpackers as the waiters which im not against but we waited 15 minutes to be served. All the while watching 5 waiters walk around avoiding eye contact or going outside to have ciggerettes. They was only about 4 tables with people sitting at them. Mind boggling! Walnut Salad came without walnuts or dressing and our drinks were forgotten. Burgers good bit suss on the patties though. Might aswell go around the corner to grilld. Shocking to see yet another place open in scarborough with bad customer services. These owners must have more money then sense

Breakfast - Standard as! Such a disappointment for an outstanding location. Don't get the sunset smoothie ever! Need to up their game.

Great service. Super friendly waiters, knowledgeable and efficient. Had one of the fillet steak burgers which was excellent. Saw the review from previous day - they only opened this month and yesterday there were 100's of people trying to find food before Xmas carols - so I'm sure all food outlets were struggling. Eagerly awaiting the liquor licence to come thru next week and open up the outside area to alcohol. Looking forward to beverages and sunset.

We had a terrible waiter-he didn't put in our order properly so we never got our sides or our coffees. He did not apologise. We were just unlucky as the other waiters seemed helpful and friendly and were very apologetic about the other waiter that didn't seem to care so much. Food was good-nothing special though (it might have been amazing if we got our sides and coffees!) I'll give it another chance as I don't want to write the place off because of one bad egg.

Friendliest staff I've ever met, relaxed beach vibe and very clean and EXCELLENT food, good place for a few drinks and delicious food

Just ate here, had the gourmet and western burgers with a side of chips. The food was delicious, and came out quickly even though the place was really busy (it was 7pm on a Friday night). We had to be seated out the front which was not a licensed area so unfortunately didn't get to try any of the delicious cocktails and drinks we saw being served inside. Staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely coming back here again soon!
