I loved my breakfast at The Local Shack. What I truly valued was being given a lot, and I mean a lot of food. I ordered the chorizzo scrambled eggs and I was given the hugest serving size possible. I didn't eat again till dinner. Plus the food was tasty! The prices are fairly normal e.g. $19 but the serving sizes are beyond substantial. I am so sick of paying $22 at other places and being given one piece of toast with a small amount of feta and eggs. 10/10 to the Local Shack for feeding me well. I loved the wait staff and the barista, they were kind and bubbly. This is definitely a place to visit if you value actually being given an adequate serving of food and enjoy being in places where staff look happy.
Ps: Only short fall was the Acaia bowl. The naming of that may need to change. It isn't an Acai bowl at all, its oats with strawberries. Just call it porridge or something. People will get frustrated with that incorrect advertising.
Great service would highly recommend. Got the cheeseburger and beer deal on a Saturday and also got a serve of hot wings and nachos to share. All the food was delicious and good value for money, also came out super quick which was awesome. Would recommend
During my visit in Australia I returned to this location several times! The food was tasty and decent quality. Prices were fair and some days had great deals! Happy hour specials were good and cocktails were made properly. The environment is cute with trendy videos and music playing.
Burgers were very good and sweet potato chips were nice. Ended up leaving full and good customer service. I had the Mr otato head burger and was definitely satisfying and one of the best burgers ive had in Perth 👍
Good location, clean with friendly staff. Good coffee, efficient, never waiting too long👍food is well priced with some usual mixtures that tastes good!have been here a couple of times and never disappointed.
Another Scarborough location that has recently had a makeover.
The food is basic but tasty - its not pretending to be fancy and has a nice relaxed feel. The staff were really friendly and the coffee is good - did I mention $8 pints of Tiger??? We had the big Kahuna breakfast, sliders, Shack burger and pancakes for desert all tasted good and was well priced especially compared to the other restaurants in the area.

I came here for breakfast recently and was amazed by how great the service was. We were seen to as soon as we came in, they made us feel very welcome and let us sit at any table we wanted. Drinks came quick - the coffee was nice and hot. Our food was delicious; we ordered Eggs Benedict and Eggs your way with mushrooms - boy they were generous with the portions! They checked up on us during our meals to ensure we were happy which shows that they care! We will definitely be returning.
Superb place for Friday drinks with mates. I hang out here with some friends about every two or three months sharing tales, jokes and life's big questions.
It's got that classic relaxed vibe you find in Scarborough.
The pizza and wedges work well with the beers and wine and I generally walk home feeling satisfied with my lot in life.
Worth a visit.

Just amazing!! My best nachos ever in Perth city 😋 so happy.. customer service is great too.
Loved the vibe of this place so much that I took hubby to another location a week later 😜. I ordered the calamari salad and it was far better than what I was expecting. Plenty of calamari cooked to perfection, lovely and tender with a beautiful crumb. Salad had avocado and Parmesan cheese scattered throughout it and was a winning combination with the crunch of the lettuce. I ordered a shake with my meal and at only $5 it was a bargain. Served in a mason jar with both cream and icecream you couldn't beat it for value. Service was quick and staff were lovely and friendly. Hats off to the chef, everything was cooked to perfection and as I mentioned I've already been back 😊
Kid eats free deal is really worth the money. For every spend of fold $25 you will get 1 kids meal and drink. We spent more than $50 and we got pretty delicious kids meals, a pulled pork mashed potato and a pancake ice cream. Even the portion is good enough for grown up kids. Only the drinks, an orange juice and a milkshake, came with small plastic glasses. As always, Pork ribs were always our favorite dish when we visited this restaurant.
Amazing food! Prices were fantastic for dining in Scarborough, great atmosphere with fake grass. Board games and other fun features of the place!

My friend and I were meeting and decided to check out other places in the area.
We went from Oceans Bar to The Shack and ended up at El Groto.
One thing that these places had in common was the exceptional customer service! It felt like a neighborhood tradition. That's the way it should be done! Customers are the bloodline of any business.
When we got to The Local Shack, we were served by a guy named Ian. My friend ordered a beer 🍺 and I ordered a Large - Sweet Potato Chips with barbeque sauce.
The food got to us in time and, Ian gave us good service with a smile.
As we exited and said thank you! Ian said he appreciated us as customers, especially that I got to aknowledge him. He's got the heart 💓 of a true champ! Cheers to that!!!
The Local Shack is conveniently located across from a bus stop so you shouldn't have issues getting transport when you're not driving.
