Been here a few times for brekky and lunch. Seafood platter was delicious and great value, enough for three people! Espresso Martini is on the stronger side, if you can only have 1 drink get the Pavlova Sour! They use gin from Old Young range *Chefs kiss* so good!

It was a nice snacking and chatting time. The croquettes was delicious and the service was effective. I might try a proper meal here next time.

I held my 50th Birthday at The Sandbar for 60 people. Everything was so easy and the staff so friendly, professional and efficient from the time I booked to on the night. The night went super smoothly and exactly as planned, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was amazing - everyone commented, and the service was friendly, fast and couldn’t fault it. My guests and I had the best night - thanks Sandbar 🙏🙌😊💕

It was our first time to come here. It was a lovely experience. The service was very good, the food was great, (pizzas was delicious and the Brighton beach burger was great) pleasant atmosphere...and there is obviously no need to rave about the location and the views. So all in all it was a great time. We will be coming back.

Only had a hot chocolate and dessert here. It was night and cozy outside with heaters on, and the dessert, Belgian waffle with apple and nuts was absolutely delicious!

Appalling customer service. The Manager of the Sandbar (pictured at the front of the restaurant in a black mask) came to my table where I was seated without a mask and asked me to leave because I didn't have a mask in my bag. All other patrons were seated without a mask on at their tables. This defies logic and commonsense. If you are standing you have to wear a mask and if you are seated you don't have to wear a mask. Masks are a medical device and are worn by sick people or medical professionals performing a medical procedures. I am neither sick nor am I engaged in a medical procedure. I simply wanted a cup of tea. This business is now on my boycott list. Shame on you Sandbar Manager!

Had such a lovely Valentine’s day! Their package was lovely and well worth the money. Sally was amazing - so attentive and kind, customer service was so great. Food and venue were also delightful. And Lauren at the desk was so lovely.

Great location. Excellent service. Had a large crowd of 25 people and nothing was too much for the wait staff. Highly recommend The Sandbar for breakfast lunch & dinner. And celebrations!! Thanks guys for a great night xx

Visited the Sandbar on Saturday to watch the AFL Grand Final expecting to struggle to get a table, only to find we were the only people watching it! Although that meant there wasn't much atmosphere, that certainly was no fault of the staff or venue. What it did mean was we not only got the best seats in the house, we got the undivided attention of the staff and the platter for two we ordered was sensational - every morsel on it was to die for. We really hope when the construction finally finishes people will start going back.

This place used to be really good. Menu selection has changed not for the better. I usually get 2 oysters on the side of a main but then was told minimum i can order is 4. Got offered to order 3, oysters were not fresh. Waiting 45mins for my grilled fish and chips to come out and the place was not that busy as to what it can be, fish was dry and overcooked like rubber. For the prices we pay, quality was poor. Went to wildfig after and reordered a dinner i could enjoy.

Would highly recommend having your next event at Sandbar!! Had my going away function there in the function room over the weekend and everything ran so smoothly. Myself and my guests had an amazing night thanks to Ben and his wonderful staff behind the bar!! The space was perfect, having access to your own private toilets and bar. Perfect for any size function��

The table service was less than desired. No one came to take our order, and no one came to check on our table at all. The bar staff are excellent. The parmy was burnt and dry, the burger not to bad. The toilets were also a bit under par. Overall average experience, could be good if effort was put in!

I visited the Sandbar yesterday with my partner + best friend. We had my friends Dog with us. We asked if we could sit in the outside area with the dog. The lady who served us let us in the back gate + said to sit at the glass fence or barrier only if that was ok. This was perfect for us. We had a beautiful meal + one of the staff members actually offered us a bowl of water for our dog. Very impressed with the service shown to us especially with all the building going on in Scarborough for some time now. Thank you

We had a cocktail event here for 40 people last weekend and it was fantastic! Daniel helped us every step of the way & ensured all of our requests were met on the night. Service was spot on, food was delicious, coffee was the best I've had in a while. Chairs not the most comfy but had cushions available. Definitely be back.

Haven't eaten any of the food while sober but from what I can tell this is a top joint. The bartenders are all very good looking which is obviously the most important part of any venue.

We had a function here last night and we cannot fault anything about this place. Daniel and his staff were absolutely amazing. The food, the service, the extra steps they took to make everyone feel well looked after. So many of our guests were talking about how good the staff were and will definitely be back. It's so hard to find good customer service in Perth. This place gets 5 stars from us!

Once again, nothing but great service provided at Sandbar. At the customer service level, all staff are warm and accommodating and contribute to the great atmosphere. Food is great. Price is reasonable. Head here!

A great bar to end your day at the beach. Has a nice view overlooking the water if seated outside. The pizza was nice, and the tap beer goes well alongside it. Medium priced.

The quality of fish was good, however for $27 the portion size was very small

This place is a nice place to go for drinks and some nibbles. The staff wear these funky blue Hawaiian shirts. The staff are also very patient and friendly. I was definitely being a pain whilst deciding my food, changing it about 3 times. The staff still was very nice. The place gets fairly busy, but not too busy to the point you have to line up for a while.<br/>••• Brighton Beach Burger: Very nice burger. It really does fill you up. The pineapple was not my cup of tea but the overall taste was yum. <br/>••• Chips: The chips alongside the burger were delicious. They were served really hot and fresh. Crispy on the outside. Loved it!<br/>~~~ Must try: Mango Beer

On Tuesdays they advertise $14 pizza, however once you sit down, order and pay, they tell you that the pizza is only $14 if you participate in Quiz night. According to the consumer protection law, conditions need to be visible for customers but there were no signs or no one even informed us about it when we ordered. <br/>Service was ok.<br/>

On the corner of Scarborough Beach Road and the Esplanade, Sandbar looks out across to the beach; the ocean shimmering in the sun on the warm day I stopped in after a hectic morning of baby-sitting and needing a steadying drink along with lunch (I exaggerate – my little granddaughter was no trouble at all! And she proved a fine luncheon companion, along with her mum.)

The most prominent restaurant in Scarborough beach. Thought of trying it out and WoW, had one of the most fantastic burgers and the other varieties were great too. Superb cocktails, Great service and fantastic ambience. Have no complaints about this place. Totally recommended.

Had a lovely evening here last night. We asked to sit at a table facing the beach. Service was attentive and friendly. Our drinks and entree (polenta squid) arrived quickly. I ordered a cocktail that was not on the menu (a cosmo) and the waitress confidently answered no problem, and it turned up with no issues - fantastic! We ordered the chilli mussels for main. Unfortunately this was forgotten to be taken off hold once our entree was cleared so an hour later we had to ask where our main was. However! I am still giving this place 5 stars because the way the staff handled the situation could not have been better. After enquiring about our main, the manager came to check with us who took the order, that waitress then came over and apologised (sincerely) and advised that though the kitchen had closed, it was reopening to make our main and it would be out shortly. She also advised they were not charging us for the main. The chilli mussels did arrive quickly and they were some of the nicest mussels we have had - the sauce had just the right amount of chilli and slightly creamy (not just a watery tomato n herb sauce you often get with chilli mussels). When we went up to pay, the manager was there still checking we were ok and apologising again. They also purposely took one of our drinks off the bill as well as the main. Well done! That is how you should handle this situation. We will definitely go back.

I have had 2 really lovely experiences here recently. For what it offers, it does it well. The staff are friendly and the food is great. The atmosphere is really fantastic too. I want to thank The Sandbar for saving what was to be a dreadful evening last night as we left the La Capannina Restaurant across the road due to their extremely rude service and extremely long wait-times. We came into your restaurant and felt instantly welcomed and had a great birthday evening. Thank you!

Really enjoyed our dinner last Saturday. Chili mussels for $14 were splendid!!! Lamb rack delish and so was the burger. Cocktails look and taste stunning. But what made the night perfect was the excellent service. Aidan was attentive, friendly and very accommodating as we were a fussy table that wanted changes to the standard dishes. Would happily go back for a meal.

Busy easter Friday. Had healthy vitamin loaded fruit juices and cholesterol laden truckie chicken wings. Had "Try the lot". Mix of roast pork, arancini, squid and bruscheta. Plenty of juices and iced tea. Parking was difficult to find for easter Friday...niceway to catch uop with puhhlenty of colleagues from KH

Had a lovely meal here on my first visit to WA. Friendly service and not rushed as I had to wait a good 30minutes for my dining companion to arrive. I was left to enjoy the view, relax and enjoy a drink. The food was very good- the warm olives were a great start to our meal. My sparkling wine was an excellent choice along with the seafood choices. I had crumbed calamari and we also shared fish tacos with three different toppings. The soft tacos were warmed and toasted so they held the fillings without collapsing! <br/>Would go back again.

This place really deserves a better score. The food is consistently good pub food that is just fancy enough. Added to their bargain daily deals and commitment to local musicians. A great local :)

I came here with my family on a Saturday evening. We sat outside watching the sunset and the hustle and bustle of Scarborough. Service was great. The man went above and beyond for us, especially with my young son to entertain him (colouring books, talking to him etc). We shared a variety of dishes which included oysters, fish and chips and wedges. All were tasty.

Opening hours are not accurate. They're only open from 4. Probably not good business to not update that. They whine about not being supported, but it's hard to support a business that is closed while pretending to be open.

Staff were pleasant, food was passable, drinks were marginal. Had some pizzas and an espresso martini here the other week. Pizzas were only OK, drink was miniscule for the cost. You can do better around here.

Pizzas here are always a good choice. This place is constantly busy so you my find service lacking at times. I've come here a couple of times now and the last time i was seated outside and because it was windy, the wind took all rocket from my pizza lol!

We are on holiday here from Brisbane and went here for breakfast, so glad we did. The service was fantastic, coffee's were spot on and food delicious. Ambience was also lovely. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for an enjoyable experience 👍 😊

Really nice coffee. Usually takes me a while to drink coffee but skulled this one. Got what we thought was eggs benny but our bad. It was on this potato kind of thing we didnt realise it wasnt on bread. Was pretty average to be honest.

We stumbled across this place on Friday night looking for a quick bite to eat. We were going to hit up nandos but thought we would check out the menu. There was a Friday night special on mussels and after not having had these in a while we thought we would give it a go. Atmosphere was lovely... we sat outside under the heater which was super cozy. There was live music which was lovely and relaxing. Mussels were some of the best chilli mussels I have ever eaten. Service was wonderful. Highly recommend!!

The sandbar seems to be always very busy. I enjoy the option for a free coffee if you check in with Facebook, but the meals are very expensive in relation to what you actually receive. Would not recommend for children as the menu is quite fancy, and sophisticated.

Enjoyed a weekday lunch at The Sandbar. We both had the grilled chorizo and calamari salad. Generous servings and absolutely delicious. Price not too bad at $23 each. The service was also excellent.

You know when you aren't even asked by the staff how your meal was that you have just finished a bad dining experience...and they know it!  The customer service needs a HUGE overhaul - agree with the below comments.  One simple, easy tip - can you just take out the butter before you start cooking the breakfast so I am not being served cold toast with rock hard butter?   Simple things like that will make a BIG difference with the food!

No service, waited and waited for someone to take my order, I had to approach the service counter as I was getting no attention. Just having two arancini balls took over 30 mins to deliver after ordering. Underwhelming dish for $18. Would not return.

Not sure what has happened here - since the make over in Dec it has hit rock bottom. Staff were rude when bringing out food never asked us if we wanted more drinks even thou we sat in the table service area and are drinks were empty. We were served the wrong drink (when they finally arrived) then the staff argued that it was what we asked for (we just asked for the same round as before which is not really that complicated).  When we went to leave the guy asked us if we were out for the day and advised us to go to the bar over the road as its got a better vibe!!!! I gave it 2 point's for the food as that was actually quite tasty and the wine list is good!!! I would have gave it a 4 6 months ago!!!<br/><br/>EDIT - Gave it another go - should not have bothered - the staff are so rude and abrupt. We ended up just having the one drink and leaving without food.

Excellent service! Very prompt with beers and food, even though it was a busy summer night. Food was regular pub food, and very tasty. Would definitely return.

I went with my best friend for dinner here last night, I had the lamb burger and she had the chicken burger. When they came out they looked great! mine was delicious (would of liked a few more chips for the price and perhaps some sauce) The location is fantastic and Scarborough is currently going through a massive facelift so there are good things to come. The service was friendly, our food came around promptly and the décor gives a relaxed vibe. I can fault it a bit at its prices, if they made a menu that offered more reasonable prices with the competition they have around them, they would dominate the clientele in that area. Its a massive tourist spot but don't  just assume you can use those prices because its a tourist location, just like the locals tourist don't typically like getting ripped off.

I have never had a breakfast as good as the snake pit mushrooms at Sandbar!!<br/><br/>I don't know how they make mushrooms that tasty and satisfying but they do.<br/><br/>Not only that - I came in late (breakfast times had finished) and the chef kindly still made me the mushrooms because I was so excited about having them again! That kind of service goes a long way.<br/><br/>Only downfall - I'm now in a food coma. <br/><br/>Highly recommend brekky here! Friendly staff and funky setting.<br/>

If you read all the last 5 reviews of this place you'll see a trend, worst food in Perth. So expensive too! Ok they're near the beach but so what, it's not the best view there on the corner of a busy street. Absolutely disgusting dishes, my fish and chips were burnt and the caesar salad was all cos lettuce. A singer decided to perform right behind me, speakers in my ears. He wasn't set up before we got there. I dunno Scarborough is really a hole these days, the people who live here are very snobby and rude.

Don't know where to start describing this shocking eating experience. The Parma was straight from the frozen section of Coles and was completely deep fried. <br/>Burger was honestly the worst I've ever had. The two of us had a crook stomach for the rest of the night, no exaggeration. <br/>

As you might have read in previous posts, my sister is over from Ireland so the opportunity arose to take her to Scarborough to see the beautiful beaches of W.A. Breakfast was a must so we went to The Sandbar. I have been here before for drinks and catch ups but never for breakfast. Let’s face it, breakfast always feels better when you are by the ocean.

A disappointing experience today. The wait staff were friendly however we were told it was too hard for the kitchen staff to cook 2 fried egg whites and would it be okay it we cut out the yellow ourselves. A little shocked by this request I did agree however I asked the waitress to advise my displeasure. Food arrived for 5 of our party (with egg whites only) but surprise surprise mine did not arrive, followed up 3 times still no food..mmmm coincidence or pay back?? Unsure but it was no problem to me as we had over ordered anyway so I saved $20..We have frequently visited as a family however customer service is important to us so we think that will be the last time, sad but obviously time to try something new.

Cost $75 for breakfast, the eggs were cold, bacon had sat in the bainmaire for hours was inedible! The toast was stale and horrid won't be going back

I have been meaning to check out the Sandbar for sometime now, and finally got the chance to drop in, in between appointments in Scarborough Beach. Mrs Kiwichef has eaten here before and was happy to go again for the trio of fish tacos, which involved soft mini tortillas, crispy battered fish and sauces of guacamole, coleslaw and tartare. Being the good sharer that she is, I got to taste them all and they were great. <br/>I went for a blackboard special of chilli coated squid rings, chorizo on cucumber and tomato salad, and it worked very nicely. <br/>The service was friendly, timely and helpful, and the view across the road of the beach and beach goers was pretty cool as well. Lots of historic photos of that particular corner of the beachfront adorn the walls and they're great to look at and give you an appreciation of the local history.

Usually this place is reliably good/average with a high standard of service particularly but this morning had the worst coffee ( milk overheated) and the staff all seemed completely miserable .<br/>Whether this is due to management issues or just because it's a Sunday I don't know . Hopefully this was just an off day for Sandbar and not a sign of things to come .

Come here if you're after the mediocre. Mediocre service, unimaginative menu, poorly made food... luke warm coffees served AFTER our food... and half the latte glass was filled with foam. Honestly, it's in such a lovely location - and it could be so nice. So it's really unfortunate that the owners and the staff genuinely do not seem to care about customer satisfaction. I have been here several times, mostly recently this morning, and never have a left a happy customer. Two disappointed thumbs down for Sandbar.

Just been here for breakfast. Had the mushroom and avo smash with a side of bacon. Mushies were inedible, for some reason tasted vinegary. Smoked salmon bagel could have less spinach and more capers and onions. Poached eggs fine. Iced coffee ok. Told cashier about mushrooms, which two of us had, not interested at all and happily took our $102.

Nice location, friendly staff, large inside area to dine and spots outside too on the street with beach views. Coffee blend is nice and strong, no complaints on my end. Would like to try the food though! Will be back for that.

Dined last Saturday night.<br/><br/>The staff were friendly and attentive. <br/>Shared the chili mussels and Snake-pit pizza.<br/>The mussels were pretty good but the sauce could have been spicier.<br/><br/>The pizza had a generous topping with good flavours, but the base was soggy.<br/>Still don't understand why they get you to cut the pizza yourself?!<br/><br/>The Barwick wine on special was very good.

We go here at least once a month and have never had a bad meal. Can be busy at times and the food is not the best food ever (just pub grub) but we have mostly had a good experience. The only thing I would say us they need to get their act together on the coffee wait times. The last 3 times we were there we got our coffee order half an hour after we finished our breakfast, and hour after ordering. Not good enough there.

Unfortunately we were reality disappointed, we ordered the share platter and it arrived looking great but that where it stopped. The food especially the pork belly was really dry as well as the corn fritters, the scallops we're over cooked, just disappointed what can I say'<br/>Told the waitress whom apologised which was appreciated and offered free deserts, but we declined, would have just preferred to have half the meal taken off the bill. We won't go back as many more options available in Scarborough, I would unfortunately give this restaurant a miss if I was you.

I was gobsmacked with how great the staff are with kids every time. We've been both in evenings with the live music and for breakfast. This is the first restaurant I've been to that even has toys for the kids! The food is delicious, the hosts make us feel so comfortable coming with a child, and the service is great.

Beautiful location and a chilled beachy vibe to match. The interior and set up of the tables is great however it is predominantly stools which some people may find uncomfortable to sit on. The staff have great music taste however they need to turn it down so I can actually hear the people 1 meter in front of me! Service is good and meals are delivered promptly and all at once (minus a Mexican pizza we had to ask about and came 5 minutes later.) A good menu but I found the specials of the day most appealing. My pumpkin, feta and walnut salad was yum and the grapes were a fresh twist. Pizza was ok but too cheesy in my opinion. Would be interested in checking out their coffee and breaky menu.

Good was decent, however was served with a spoon which was clean on the inside, and caked on filth on the outside, which was only discovered after scoping out a healthy amount of honey infused yoghurt. The waitress was not able to grasp the severity of the discomfort, and not even an apology was forthcoming.

Came here with friends for some drinks as the prices for food are very over priced, they probably feel they can do this due to the location. The service was shocking, we had two people trying to seat us at once after waiting quite a while for the two people at the front to stop talking, we decided to share a sangria jug amongst ourselves, we waited around 15 minutes for it on a Monday night when it wasn't that busy. It's a jug it really shouldn't take that long, couldn't get anyone's attention the whole night, they were too busy talking loudly. The service kind of ruined the cool vibe this place could have. The sangria was nice though

Great spot for a few Sunday drinks, fish tacos were great with a few cold beers, the outdoor seating was great for checking the sunset, staff were friendly and helpful but not over your shoulder every two mins will be back again for sure. 👍

Was pleasantly surprised by this perfectly located Scarborough restaurant. As a regular visitor of the Scarborough scene I had never ventured into sandbar before, however decided to give it a try on the weekend and wasn't disappointed. Staff were very friendly adding to the fun atmosphere of the colourful decorations and Sunday afternoon live music! We all had salads and all were delicious, fresh and reasonably priced for the area! Would definitely recommend the lamb and couscous salad! Will definitely be back!

Prices in general are $$$ however there are still some good value options on the menu (Steak Sandwich for $22 was yum!) and the view & location are prime. Lovely experience on a beautiful Saturday afternoon!

Three of us went to the sandbar for lunch and got a trio of dips, a Mexican pizza and a bowl of wedges all to share. The dips were all really delicious, and the wedges were some of the best I've had. The only problem was they were $10 a bowl!! The pizza didn't quite pull off the Mexican flavours and seemed a bit gimmicky for $24. Overall we were happy and very full but was all a bit pricey. Would consider Grilld just down the road next time

Walked into The Sandbar after some lovely time spent on the beach. Located near the main roundabout it's a convenient location with the outer tables facing the beach.<br/><br/>Ambience is funky and the wait staff is quite friendly. Though I found the food to be a tad bit overpriced, it was quite tasty. We tried the oysters (again!) Kirkpatrick and chilli lime, Greek salad, crispy fried barramundi with sweet potato chips and matsos mango beer.

The food is always fantastic in this place ! Love it !! It's my usual dining venue when we go to Scarborough and so nice to sit outside and watch the world go by !

Being on the main Scarborough roundabout don't expect an amazing coast view, but the people watching is interesting and you still benefit from the refreshing coastal breeze. However the Sandbar makes up for its lack lustre location with a cool vibe inside and tasty food. Definitely get the prawn curry arancini which is a different but successful take on arancini. The fish tacos are a good Kung size with a spicy aioli sauce through them all. The beef burger is a hard to wrap your mouth around size.... It's huge. Extremely friendly staff and tasty food - tick tick.

I only give this a 1 because the drink was ok (even though it was overpriced!). My food was quite cold and average but the worst thing was the staff.. the unhelpful manager in particular. When going to pay at the end of a Thursday lunch, where there was no one else inside the restaurant at all, my friend and I politely asked if they could split the bill. The lady refused and told us there was an ATM though. I was a bit disappointed but went to get some cash out. The machine charged me $2.80 and would only dispense $50 and when my friend went to try her card it wouldn't work. I told my friend not to worry as I would pay $30 cash and she could pay the rest on her card. As we proceeded to the lady at the front she refused payment again, stating that it was the manager's policy and nothing she could do about it. I asked to speak to the manager and she tells me that she was in fact the manager. She still didn't offer any other suggestions apart from the fact my friend had to pay the whole amount on her card and my $50 that I withdrew from her stupid ATM was not needed at all. She eventually said I could change my 50 into two 20s and a 10 so I can pay my friend back (oh how kind of her..the so called manager!)<br/>Anyways I let her know I would not EVER be coming back here again and hope people see this and decide to take their money elsewhere! Perhaps to the Shack or Matisse bar or Squires fortune. After all those places have way better customer service and are accommodating to the customer!

Came in here with 2 friends after a lovely Saturday at the beach. Service took a long time, and when we were finally served the waitress was abrupt and we felt as if we were an inconvenience. On clearing our drinks she didn't offer another round just grabbed our glasses and walked away, this was a disappointment as we would have otherwise had another, and ordered some more food. Overall the location is perfect, but the staff need to loose the attitude!

The sun is shining and there’s a light warm breeze blowing that lets us know that summer is right around the corner. It’s the perfect morning to forgo the cardy, chuck on a pair of thongs and head to the coast for breakfast. Cottesloe would usually be my go to on such a glorious morning but it was time I stopped overlooking Cott’s northern rival – Scarborough.

Not the best. The location is great, but the food isn't. I got this eggs benedict type dish with smoked salmon, and the salmon was terrible. Super crap cut of fish. I didn't eat it and showed the server, who looked at me blankly when I showed him the stringy, fatty, grey mess on my plate. 10 or so minutes later he came back and offered us a coffee on the house, to which I told him that I don't drink coffee, and then he just looked at me blankly again and didn't offer any alternative. Waste of money! Wouldn't recommend.

Yummo breakfast!!. Had breakfast here on a sunday, staff were friendly it had a nice really relaxing atmoshpere. The food was delicious!! Would definatly eat here again

Location, location, location together with an impressive and affordable menu makes The Sandbar opposite Scarborough Beach one of my top 5 places to brunch NOR in Perth.

Average meal at Sandbar. Dissapointed. Lovely setting. Service was average, waitron did not know how to serve wine. Do not order anything with seafood. Mussels were raw , chowder had ONE scallop,two prawns. Pork belly was cold and dry ( and cold pickled scallops) On commenting that food was average the answer was- I shall tell chef, and that was it. Stick to the burgers, they looked good.

Breakfast by the Beach. Have breakfast here a couple times recently - good service, nice breakky, could be a little cheaper for sides though, avocado, beans ect.....

Nothing. Rubbish. Food was ok but staff were terrible. Rude, obnoxious and ridiculous. POOR MANAGEMEMMT

Awful, below average!. Should have looked at reviews. Crepes were terrible. Cooked breakfast cold, spicy beans horrible couldn't even saute a few mushrooms. How are they continuing to serve such sub standard food it's not even cheap.

Great experiences here!. Im surprised by the number of bad reviews. I visited twice in Feb and loved it and i'm a food snob. Great varied menu. The "try it all" sharing plate for 2 is THE BEST. Delicious and substantial. Love the smoothies too and the bright and happy decor.

Such a horrible experience! Manger was very disrespectful and reneged a free coffee which was advertised. Would not recommend a visit!

Went for lunch with my friend and our babies at 12.30pm last Thursday. Best customer service I've ever received in Perth. I was blown away by their hospitality and attentiveness. Had juice drink and chicken caeser salad which was lovely. Ladies toilet also has clean and convenient baby changing unit. Will def be back soon thanks

Not impressed. Last time it was delightful on a warm Sundsy afternoon in July. Now on a busy Friday night the food seemed prepared and not very fresh. Service was still good.

Aweful !! The alcohol is overpriced and the food is average at best. The pizzas are a joke with the absolute minimal toppings applied and hidden by a smattering of greens.

Lovely spot. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've been here quite a few times over summer and all the food was great. The service is always amazing too. Great spot to watch the sunset while sharing a pitcher and pizza!

Terrible crepes. The breakfast crepes were the most dreadful thing we have ever seen. The plate came out hot and the food cold and soggy. Not one staff member asked how it was, hence this review.

Sunset Date Night. From the moment we walked in the customer service was great. Even when there was a little mix up with our drinks the problem was addressed and fixed in seconds. <br/><br/>We shared a pizza and sides enjoyed a cider or two and the gorgeous Perth sunset. <br/><br/>Great for couples or groups. Highly recommend.

Great food with fantastic service.. We had the Wagu steak which was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service was fantastic. A lot of other Perth restaurants could learn a thing or two from the service that the great staff at The Sandbar give to their customers, it is wonderful to see such attention by staff it really makes the experience of dining so much more enjoyable and special.<br/><br/>Thanks to all the staff and management this is definitely now one of our favourite spots, do yourselves a favour and experience The Sandbar you won't regret it.

Worth a look. I accompanied the Contracts team for their Christmas Luncheon held at the Sandbar at Scarborough Beach. Now the decor is very rustic, the atmosphere is noisy, tables and chairs consist of little plastic stools with a cushion and the table appeared to be made from forklift pallets with a glass top. A very busy place with people coming and going. If you are after a cosy, quiet, relaxing venue this is the place to avoid. <br/><br/>Now why is it busy, noisy etc? Because it is a great place for food and a beverage.<br/> <br/>We had a set menu costing $55 each (see attached). For the entree I had the corn fritters with guacamole & salad while others had the smoked salad salmon (which was a meal in it's self). The corn fritters were very nice. The 'piece de resistance' came however when we all received the wagyu rump with creamy mash potatos & mushroom / red wine, onion jus. Absolutely delish !! A good serving of a tender thick medium cooked rump steak with a very tasty sause. Every one was very impressed. last of all was the dessert which was a rich sticky date pud. Beverages range from Bintang to Little Creatures.Even had a try of a lychee beer! <br/>In a nutshell the food was excellent, the service was very good and a good time had by all. MMmm that Steak......... <br/><br/>Recommend

RIDICULOUS RULES... Asked t.... RIDICULOUS RULES...<br/>Asked to see a breakfast menu at 11:20 am, no problem. Went outside to think for a minute. Went back in at 11:31 am to order, got told that they stop serving breakfast at 11:30 (so we missed out) and then told they don't start serving lunch until 12:00 pm so we can't order for half an hour. SERIOUSLY???

Really, really bad steak and sides. Overcooked, sloppy mash & tasteless greens. Service ok.

Came in for Lunch on a lazy Monday afternoon. Had Pizza and Steak sandwich. Food for me was ok (steaks), my partner really enjoyed her pizza. service was great. Would dine here again but as a back up choice.

Coffee warm. My friend ordered Sandbar eggs which included either ham or salmon. As she is a vegetarian she asked for avocado instead of ham or salmon. They charged her an additional $4 for half an avocado and took off $1.50 for the ham! However if you ordered extra ham or salmon you had to pay $4!! It should have be a straight swap and she felt ripped off. Looks like it's back to the Wild Fig at the other end of The Esplanade. Great location such a shame.

Menu different to the chefs stated ingredients. Ordered the Barramundi. Waitress had checked with chef on what sauce accompanied the dish. Waitress was told it was Barramundi, 'creamy sauce', pumpkin and potato. <br/><br/>When the dish arrived at our table, the Barramundi was covered in a tomato based sauce with sweet potato and potato covered in a garden of spinach.<br/><br/>When I informed another waitress I was offered no alternative to the meal. Only answer other waitress smart arse. I was starving so ate the meal regardless the outcome for my condition.<br/><br/>Bad service with no consideration what so ever for potential outcomes. The outcome was gastric reflux even though I had taken medication in the day to oppress the condition.<br/><br/>Bad service, didnt care.

Awesome Foursome !!!. Went for dinner last night, the restaurant was full which is always a good sign, we got seated promptly and we got our order taken and drinks on the table shortly after !!!<br/>The food was very good, wood fired Pizza and seafood Pasta were delicious and so was our big jug of sangria !!! My partner also had a green mile Smoothie which she said was " Amazing"<br/>Will be back for sure!!! <br/>Love the atmosphere, food and the wait staff are GTSreat !!!

Great Lunch. Went for lunch on Monday of Long Weekend. It was busy, but got the best service, very attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough to please, which was so nice and refreshing for a change - and we had 2 children with us as well. The food was really good - sticky date pudding huge!!! I'm a desert lover and I couldn't finish it. Thoroughly enjoyed my Birthday lunch and will defineately be back.

Went for dinner tonight. Had some absolutely delicious food. Tasting plate for 2 and Seafood Chowder were standouts. Cocktails were tasty too. Staff were very attentive & genuinely friendly. Very happy customers.

Went in for breakfast for the first time today. Horrible service! Took 20 plus minutes for someone to take our order and when we went and asked do we order at the table or order and the counter my partner was told 'You have a seat' and it then took another 10 minutes to then us wave someone down to tak our order. They were not busy either. The staff seemed to be occupied with what looked like regulars and clearing tables rather than serving us. <br/>I ordered a double shot latte and it came out with skim milk and was a mug size glass. I work in hospitality so I do understand what needs to be done and nothing ticked the boxes. <br/>A shame because the food was half decent but won't return die to the ride service . <br/>Bit of a let down considering this is a really funky little place.....

Great sunday cocktails. Nothing fancy, great veiw and decent food. Great on a nice warm day watching the sunset.

Great Location, Great Coffee - shame about the staff attitude - and the unwashed mushrooms. Following a disappointing visit here, the review for which has now been deleted by urbanspoon for mentioning what mushrooms grow in I no longer feel able to review this place or use urbanspoon.

Love it!!. I just came from the Sandbar and I have to say Ill be back. To start we were seated within seconds of walking into the building. Our service was beyond what you expect in Perth, the staff were bubbly, friendly and its as if they all work together. We never had to wait for a drink or ask, they are on to it. We shared the platter for 2 which was more then enough for the two of us and we got to sample a bit of everything with this. Beer was cold and stickydate pudding was delicioussssss. The little french man at the till was really funny and made sure we enjoyed everything.<br/>Nice to see a restaurant full bottle with what dining is really about!

Terrible service. Don't go if you have a family. Got seated and waited 30 min, not one person came over to take our order or ask if we were ready to order. The waitreses seemed more interested in dancing and serving beer to the boys sitting outside. We won't be going back.

Terrible service and food. Where to start, the food is terrible. The waitress seems more interested looking in the mirror than serving customers. Food arrived 45 minutes later and was cold. Will never return to this place and let my friends know not to come here, such a shame as it is a good location. Competitors like boho and shack serve better food and value for money

55 minuets and neither coffee or breakfast has arrived yet. My back is hurting from sitting waiting on this little stool.<br/>I saw someone else get the crepes... It's a lot of money to pay for 3 crepes. Seriously it would be a few cents extra cost to put a few more crepes on the plate.<br/>I created an account just to write this post... That means I'm seriously unhappy about this experience.

50 minutes for a capuccino and a meal !

Mara Epis Kalgoorlie. I have been to this restaurant many times mainly when it was Zanders , we are staying at the Sandcastles and we looked online for the menu and if you needed to make reservations. No reservation was required - turned up there about 6.30 pm to say no seats available. That's fine but there were about seating available for maybe 18 people at two tables - Told no we could not have those they were taken! Will not go back there -we're not even given the choice to come back at later time.

Cool, Casual Beach bar. A few friends and I went to The Sandbar on Wednesday for early evening drinks and a chat. We ordered a few cocktail jugs between us, which were unbelievably tasty and delicious. Good value for money, as far as we were concerned. We were a pretty loud and indecisive crowd and I must say the staff were very accommodating and polite to us the whole time. One of my new favourite places for drinks in Scarborough. Thank you for the great evening and I am sure to return.
