Great location. Excellent service. Had a large crowd of 25 people and nothing was too much for the wait staff. Highly recommend The Sandbar for breakfast lunch & dinner. And celebrations!! Thanks guys for a great night xx
Visited the Sandbar on Saturday to watch the AFL Grand Final expecting to struggle to get a table, only to find we were the only people watching it! Although that meant there wasn't much atmosphere, that certainly was no fault of the staff or venue. What it did mean was we not only got the best seats in the house, we got the undivided attention of the staff and the platter for two we ordered was sensational - every morsel on it was to die for. We really hope when the construction finally finishes people will start going back.
This place is a nice place to go for drinks and some nibbles. The staff wear these funky blue Hawaiian shirts. The staff are also very patient and friendly. I was definitely being a pain whilst deciding my food, changing it about 3 times. The staff still was very nice. The place gets fairly busy, but not too busy to the point you have to line up for a while.
••• Brighton Beach Burger: Very nice burger. It really does fill you up. The pineapple was not my cup of tea but the overall taste was yum.
••• Chips: The chips alongside the burger were delicious. They were served really hot and fresh. Crispy on the outside. Loved it!

The most prominent restaurant in Scarborough beach. Thought of trying it out and WoW, had one of the most fantastic burgers and the other varieties were great too. Superb cocktails, Great service and fantastic ambience. Have no complaints about this place. Totally recommended.

Had a lovely evening here last night. We asked to sit at a table facing the beach. Service was attentive and friendly. Our drinks and entree (polenta squid) arrived quickly. I ordered a cocktail that was not on the menu (a cosmo) and the waitress confidently answered no problem, and it turned up with no issues - fantastic! We ordered the chilli mussels for main. Unfortunately this was forgotten to be taken off hold once our entree was cleared so an hour later we had to ask where our main was. However! I am still giving this place 5 stars because the way the staff handled the situation could not have been better. After enquiring about our main, the manager came to check with us who took the order, that waitress then came over and apologised (sincerely) and advised that though the kitchen had closed, it was reopening to make our main and it would be out shortly. She also advised they were not charging us for the main. The chilli mussels did arrive quickly and they were some of the nicest mussels we have had - the sauce had just the right amount of chilli and slightly creamy (not just a watery tomato n herb sauce you often get with chilli mussels). When we went up to pay, the manager was there still checking we were ok and apologising again. They also purposely took one of our drinks off the bill as well as the main. Well done! That is how you should handle this situation. We will definitely go back.
I have had 2 really lovely experiences here recently. For what it offers, it does it well. The staff are friendly and the food is great. The atmosphere is really fantastic too. I want to thank The Sandbar for saving what was to be a dreadful evening last night as we left the La Capannina Restaurant across the road due to their extremely rude service and extremely long wait-times. We came into your restaurant and felt instantly welcomed and had a great birthday evening. Thank you!
Really enjoyed our dinner last Saturday. Chili mussels for $14 were splendid!!! Lamb rack delish and so was the burger. Cocktails look and taste stunning. But what made the night perfect was the excellent service. Aidan was attentive, friendly and very accommodating as we were a fussy table that wanted changes to the standard dishes. Would happily go back for a meal.

Had a lovely meal here on my first visit to WA. Friendly service and not rushed as I had to wait a good 30minutes for my dining companion to arrive. I was left to enjoy the view, relax and enjoy a drink. The food was very good- the warm olives were a great start to our meal. My sparkling wine was an excellent choice along with the seafood choices. I had crumbed calamari and we also shared fish tacos with three different toppings. The soft tacos were warmed and toasted so they held the fillings without collapsing!
Would go back again.
This place really deserves a better score. The food is consistently good pub food that is just fancy enough. Added to their bargain daily deals and commitment to local musicians. A great local :)
Pizzas here are always a good choice. This place is constantly busy so you my find service lacking at times. I've come here a couple of times now and the last time i was seated outside and because it was windy, the wind took all rocket from my pizza lol!
We are on holiday here from Brisbane and went here for breakfast, so glad we did. The service was fantastic, coffee's were spot on and food delicious. Ambience was also lovely. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for an enjoyable experience 👍 😊
Been here a few times for brekky and lunch. Seafood platter was delicious and great value, enough for three people! Espresso Martini is on the stronger side, if you can only have 1 drink get the Pavlova Sour! They use gin from Old Young range *Chefs kiss* so good!
It was a nice snacking and chatting time. The croquettes was delicious and the service was effective. I might try a proper meal here next time.
I held my 50th Birthday at The Sandbar for 60 people. Everything was so easy and the staff so friendly, professional and efficient from the time I booked to on the night.
The night went super smoothly and exactly as planned, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The food was amazing - everyone commented, and the service was friendly, fast and couldn’t fault it.

It was our first time to come here. It was a lovely experience. The service was very good, the food was great, (pizzas was delicious and the Brighton beach burger was great) pleasant atmosphere...and there is obviously no need to rave about the location and the views. So all in all it was a great time. We will be coming back.
Only had a hot chocolate and dessert here. It was night and cozy outside with heaters on, and the dessert, Belgian waffle with apple and nuts was absolutely delicious!
Had such a lovely Valentine’s day! Their package was lovely and well worth the money. Sally was amazing - so attentive and kind, customer service was so great. Food and venue were also delightful. And Lauren at the desk was so lovely.
