Just enjoyed a beautiful dinner with my partner. We shared 3 of the ‘share plates’ for our meal and found it more than enough food. Simply wonderful food, great atmosphere, beautiful wine, friendly waitress and fair prices for carefully created food. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you.

Some Like It Hot

Came for breakfast and got table outside in the shade. You can actually book a table which is good. I had poached eggs on sourdough with a sweet potato rosti and mushrooms. All really nicely cooked and came to $22. My friend had the halloumi dish which looked really nice too. The service was really good and they also do alcoholic drinks. Would like to return for lunch sometime :)

🍔🍔10/10 Burger Experience. I had the Sweet Pea Burger with a gluten free bun and sweet potato chips. I love everything about this burger all the flavours go perfectly together. The gluten free bun is so much nicer than most you get. It was crispy and not too dense. J had the Chickybae burger with sweet potato chips. The chicken fillet was charred perfectly and they paid special attention to the bun which had a golden crust. You also get a choice of sauces on the side for your chips. This made for a 10/10 mid day meal in the sun with a cider from colonial brewing co. The staff were friendly.
Great value for money. Portions are huge and we were both stuffed.

One of my favourite cafes. Never disappoints for breakfast and I love the burgers for dinner. Friendly service, has a real local vibe. I wish they still did pizzas but can’t complain about anything else.

Came here on a busy Saturday for breakfast. Service could not be faulted, quick and efficient wait staff. Food came out quickly and it was great. Only downside was difficult parking but would definitely come back.

I came here for lunch on a Friday. We sat inside. Nice decor. The service was ok, could have been more friendlier. I had the sweet potato and haloumi rosti, which was delicious! Huge improvement since my initial visit a year ago. Would recommend and return.

The first thing you'll find appealing about Drift is the quaintness of the building. It's an old Scarborough house with seating on the veranda, away from the busy and more commercial Scarborough Strip. The food is great with a classy well-considered menu. Great local place, great for a romantic evening or enjoyable family meal. Recommended.

Just wanted to say what a great experience our first visit to Drift Kitchen was. Good atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, quick service and GREAT food (the Avo Smash was to die for!). It was an absolute pleasure to dine there and we will certainly be back to try out more on the menu. Was also impressed with the booking confirmation and follow-up emails - spot on! 🙂

Amaaaazing food. I’ve found my new local! I felt like I was at a dinner party with my neighbours.

Standard of food and service is next level and priced super well. Highly recommend. Thank God Scarborough can finally do dinner well.

Went for a sneaky breakfast. I was going to order the Spanish eggs, but not being a fan of beans I asked for it without. The lovely young girl serving us explained that the meal wouldn't really be a meal without it and suggested poached eggs or eggs Benedict instead. The eggs Benedict were divine! My partner had the Spanish eggs which confirmed that without the beans it would've been not enough. Great service, price and taste!

Lovely café in the backstreets of Scarborough. Not a large range of food available for lunch, mostly burgers. But the food was delicious and the service was attentive. My steak sandwich was scrumptious. We will return

Lovely spot for a late lunch, sat outside in the shade. Friendly staff and great service. Varied menu - lots of gluten free - and good wine list, just no gf beer 😒 4 dishes shared between 3 people was heaps. Dog friendly so my sister's pooch could relax with us.
