I don't usually do reviews. But just a small gesture from one of your staff really made me enjoy my time here.
It was quite busy when I came in and the only available seating was along the window with the small bar stools. Usually I'd be fine to sit there, but as I've torn a ligament in my knee, it's not so comfortable to sit there, but I'm not too fussy so I just dealt with the discomfort as much as I could.
After having my coffee, a few spots in the cafe became free, Eliza (staff member) noticed my discomfort and offered me a spot on a proper seat which was really appreciated. Just a small gesture like that really picks someone up and leads them into a good day! So thanks Eliza!
Forgot to mention;
I ordered a Portuguese Baked Eggs w/ bacon, chorizo, avocado and smoked salmon as extras. The wait was a little lengthy, but it's a small kitchen, lots of seating and quite busy so it's understandable. But I didn't mind waiting as I had lots of time to kill and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.
When my food came out, it looked great and tasted even better. Well done guys!

My motto is simple: "I want to be in love, drink good coffee, and ride my bike". As a keen cyclist and a coffee maven Common Galaxia is the place to be when I think coffee. As soon as you walk through the door the space welcomes you in--a minimalist styling with a touch of industrial influence--the atmosphere is vibrant yet chilled out and I haven't even got to the staff and coffee yet! The service is impeccable--friendly, on the ball, staff who keep the place running like a Swiss watch. Now for the pièce de résistance, the coffee. Good coffee requires two elements: Good beans and an excellent barrister who know his/her craft well--Common Galaxia has both these element in spades--Seven Seeds is the chosen brew of this establishment, combined with the skillful artistry of Frank--the man behind the magic--produces a coffee that is full bodied, silky smooth, with fantastic texture. I give this place 5/5 ☆.
Really enjoyed brunch here! Had the salmon and the reuben sandwich. Portions were good, flavours were well balanced and delicious. Sad I missed out on the Nutella and Ferrero waffles as the menu changed but oh well.. Next time in Melbourne.. (:
