My score 3.5 stars. I picked up a light lunch from here for J and myself on Sun 15th Dec. A small but nicely presented F and C shop down the northern end of Victoria St. Young woman who served me was very pleasant and helpful (and allowed me to put my own salt on – brownie points).
Minimum chips ($3) – Good. Reasonably well cut, beautiful colour, nice potato flavour, fair value.
1 fried dim sim ($1) - Very nicely cooked, moist inside – tasty.
2 potato cakes ($1ea) – Great colour and looked nice. Coating was good, but the potato inside was a bit thin and yet also just a tad firm.
Always good to see a F and C shop using really fresh, clean cooking oil which was very evident in what they served. Points were taken off for the potato cakes – next time we would skip them and get a larger serve of chips…
Great value and tasty fish. I find this fish and chip shop to be always generous, this time throwing in some extra chips when i just ordered a plain flake. Probably a little bit too generous with the soy sauce but great nonetheless. thank you
Great fish and chips. Especially the piece of the food. Great little place. I only get my fish and chips from here and the person that served me was also so friendly and nice. Always come back
