Review Sebastian's Restaurant - Shepparton

Anna Lisea
Sebastian's is welcoming from the minute you enter. Warm and cozy whilst modern. I had the creamy mushroom soup which was very smooth and tasty. It had a nice earthy  nutty flavour with dried mushrooms which beautifully offset the textures and flavours. Nice colours. Sebastian flat bread (mozzarella garlic and herbs) was quite nice. A sweet garlic flavour but mine was slightly burnt edges and as such created a bitter taste. Beautiful presentation on the board with the printed baking paper underneath- clever . Deconstructed coffee brownie was a bit disappointing. Served in cocktail glass with a huge mint leaf/ a bit 1980s. Brownie flavour was divine, but hmm I question that archiac presentation and choice of adding store-bought meringue pieces.... oh well, the chocolate was yummo. :) Waitresses were attentive, working the room well. Only negatives? 1) Not many alcohol-free options; 2) Somewhat pricey. Okay, so I'm rating this place a 3.8 (rounding up to 4). This is based on the fact they are located in Shepparton. If you want a nice meal, made to feel cared for, and enjoy good flavours, Sebastian's is the place to be.

Friendly staff, great location and wholesome authentic Japanese food. The Udon with Tempura Prawns was delicious and washed down with a cold Asahi. Hard to beat.Food is incredible, fresh, fast, tasty and hot. Never been dissapointed when eating there. Amazing service too :) highly recommend.

Food was delicious, medium rare steak cooked perfectly and all food presented well. Service was good with bubbly friendly staff. Restaurant quiet which dulled the atmosphere and a bit pricey but overall experience good.

Service was great. Nice to have full service for a change. We had 3 courses. All were great, the rib eye pork with bourbon sauce was outstanding. The Wagyu beef was Devine. This was my first time at Sebastian's. I will be back for sure.

A bit formal; a bit traditional. But very nice staff and the food was well presented and nice. Good place for a special family dinner; but maybe a bit too quiet for a first date if the conversation starts to dry up...

Nice ambiance, very friendly staff, but not highly professional. Ordered a bottle of Heathcote shiraz, was poored a glass. After eating my oysters (very fresh yummy) I asked the waitress for a top up. She brought me a new bottle, telling me that some one else had been served from my bottle, and she misunderstood, my order. Was charged the full bottle AND the glass on the bill. Ordered Brushetta, Wagyu eye filet cooked "blue" and green vegetables. Brushetta was delicious, vegetables cooked to perfection but steak unfortunately totally overcooked. Medium in the centre, well done on the edges. Not many "country chefs" know how to cook a blue steak properly. Would have expected for the price they charge to get at least close to it.
