Our local for good wood fired pizza
I ordered the Milano pizza, my partner the prawn linguine and our other dining partners ordered the salmon. Garlic bread was a light starter. Dessert was lemon meringue pie and lime pie. I loved my pizza, perfect amount of toppings and heaps of olives (love olives!). My partner said his linguine was tasty but very oily, and our other dining partners felt the salmon was ok, but not great. Garlic bread rocked! The lemon meringue pie was perfect, nice fluffy top with pastry 👌
I have searched high and low for a good chicken parmigana around Perth but I haven't quite received a quality one yet. All that changed when I went to Raktacino when I received a generous potion of chicken cheese tomato good ness. The service was excellent and the new staff are great. I have heard awesome things about the breakfast. I will see you soon Carol and the rest if the raktacino crew.
This is an amazing little place, great food and service. Perths best kept secret. Definitely worth A visit, make sure you try the wood fired pizza.
Lovely local cafe; every friend I've brought has raved about their coffee.
The must tries:
Breakfast - freshly baked muffins (flavor changes daily)
Lunch - Captain Kirk's Burger
Dinner - any pizza, done in their Calzone style
A favourite for a quick, tasty lunch with friendly service and good coffee. Havent been there for dinner or breakfast but will when the opportunity pops up
Party Spoon (Grace Coombs)
+3.5
My local for an enjoyable wood fired pizza! Range of toppings and takeaway/delivery service available with generous portion sizes- would recommend for a night in!
Great local place we go to frequently. Best pizzas around and a good support menu with generous serves. Friendly no frills café we take all our visitors to.RW
Great local - love the food, coffee and friendly staff
Wonderful!. Dinner tonight was amazing. I really felt like chicken carbonara and it wasnt on the menu, but they cooked it for me! The best I have ever eaten. Thank you for a fantastic dinner. We will definitely return. :)
Love this place! Get a coffee and fresh muffin every morning which always spot on. My partner and I regularly get dinner and takeaway here. A hidden gem, best thing about the neighbourhood.
Great coffee and friendly service. I am becoming a regular here. Staff are good looking and food tasty as well.
After moving from Sydney and loving my local I desperately needed to find a replacement coffee house . Thank god I found Rakas !! I love their whole vibe , the coffee and food is consistently yummy and the service is always fantastic! This one will be hard to beat!
Best salad and chips in perth. Gone there twice for lunch in the past two days with my mum, we ordered a chips and garden salad. The dressing is amazing and the chips are perfect, lovely and crunchy but not too crunchy, and they taste even better dipped in the salad dressing or eaten with the salad greens! Been going there since before it was even known as Rakatcino, love the quiet atmosphere and the smell of the wood fired pizza being cooked. Staff are lovely people and you really get your money's worth when you buy a salad and chips for $10.50.
Absolutely AMAZING!!. Every time I go back to Raktacino, I'm continually impressed by both the food and the service I get. I find it very hard to choose a favourite meal or dessert because I absolutely love everything that I get, but I have a soft spot for the Parma pizza and I would say that this is the meal I would get most often, particularly on the weekend when I am on my way home from work! I also pop in for a coffee 3-4 times a week when I get the chance because it's hard to find coffee anywhere in Perth that is quite as good as this. Such a hidden Gem!
WORTH THE TRIP. When ever i come home... it must include dinner at Raktacino. I live in California and can always count on a magnificent meal here. The lamb shanks and steaks can barely fit on the plate. The food is well served, varied and more than enough to satisfy even my sons who are both good eaters.
The owner and staff always make us feel welcome and cannot do enough to make us feel at home!!.
They are family friendly both two and 4 legged ( outside of course).
keep up the good work RAKTACINO..
Eileen from California
Good takeaway coffee and cake
YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have recently moved to Salter Point and was well advised by some locals to try Raktacino. Thank goodness I listened! I went for a meal last Thursday night and ordered the beef mignon (medium) on a sweet potato gratin with ed wine jus. Many compliments to the chef. Cooked to perfection! Although more than content with the main, I decided to order the apple pie and a flat white for dessert. Again I was not disappointed. The apple pie was bliss and the coffee made to perfection. Will certainly be making this my local for my morning coffee fix and cant wait to try the breakfast!!!! Thank to the chef and staff:)
Hi Rl Sorry to hear about.... Hi Rl
Sorry to hear about your shins, I believe I was sitting next to you that mildly lazy afternoon. My secondary profession is a masseur, perhaps we could catch a workout some time? Just putting it out there. A/s/l?
Z'omg muffins to die for
Smiley face

I'm not even angry, I'm impressed. So we decided to go check out 'Rakas' cause of the huge wrap the muffins were getting. Place was busy and service was friendly. I was sitting down and my shins were hurting. The muffin was good.
Our favourite pizza place. Friendly staff and great food
Hidden Gem. The food is amazing been a few times for lunch with girlfriends great service staff and atmosphere the pasta dishes are to die for will be making a weekly vigil!
Father's Day Breakfast. My partner and I had heard about this fabulous little cafe through a friend and decided to try it for breakfast on Father's day, so we booked a few days before and went in with a table of 8. Sooo glad we did, the food was second to none. You could tell it was all fresh produce and very tasty. The service was great, even though the place was quite busy (popular for a reason I might add).
My partner is very hard to please - food wise and he was raving about it for days.. Thanks to Shane, Carol and the staff. We'll be back : )
Sensational Brekkie. We were able to make a breakfast booking which was good - a family group with members both north and south of the river made Raktacino a good between location. We just didn't want to rock up and chance it.
The breakfast food was sensational and the coffee frappe made from actual coffee (just chilled), rather than coffee flavour added. Probably could have done with a touch of coffee flavour ontop though but I like it a little stronger.
Looking forward to returning and trying out dinner.
Went there last Saturday nite as they were fully booked we were squeez ed in to the first sitting Wow wow wow to the food. As well as the menu there were 14daily specials I had the paella my friends had the veal scallopine and carol creation pizza we all agree 10/10. The place was packed for the 1st sitting also its casual and buzzy. The staff are friendly helpful and one of the owners Shane had all 4tables near us bantering it made our night. The locals next to us said that since carol and Shane bought it 18mths ago the food atmosphere coffee have got so much better made it near impossible to walk in on a fri sat or sun nite without a booking. We fini shed with a special date crumble pizza which we polished off in double quick time. Thank you Raktacino and we will see you on 2 week and yes we booked
Warm and welcoming... Came here on a Saturday night when we'd been turned away from a restaurant near by as they were fully booked. Glad we did as the staff here were very friendly and they pizza we ordered came out in a flash! (but not in that pre-made kinda way) just very efficient I guess. Will be sure to come back.
I love this place! It has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing at such a great price. The staff are very friendly with such great service and will definitely be coming here more regularly:)
Best brekky we have ever had !!. Love love love this place, the staff and atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. We have been for breakfast on a number of occasions and have always left fully satisfied, there is something for everyone on their menu. Looking forward to visiting for dinner soon :)
I wish this cafe was down the road from me! - I surely would be their number 1 customer. Scrummy fresh food, friendly service and fab coffee for a good price? Yes please!
Last Sunday night we had fantastic pizza from this little hidden gem. Thin crusty pizza with gourmet(not overdone)toppings I am not usually a pizza girl but I had 5 pieces of the nicest pizzas have had in ages, you must try the trattorian & Parma fantastic. I hate exercise but would rather have a run just so I can eat guilt free .
A tad bit expensive, but still worth the effort.. You know... the food was great. A group of 5 of us went for breakfast last Saturday morning. It's nicely tucked away, and even though I thought the price was a bit much for what we got, I would still go back, probably not as often as I would like though. $15.50 for two poached eggs, on one slice of toast and a piece of bacon. Don't get me wrong though, the eggs were obviously free range or even duck eggs... they were huge in the yoke, they had an exceptionally rich textured egg, but at $15.50 it still looks like a $9.90 breakfast. If there was a view of the river, ocean, city, some mountain ranges... anything like this you could understand the price, but with a view of suburbia... it's just that bit too much to swallow. Don't let this review throw you from going though. The food is great... just don't take any less that $20.00 for breakfast if you want a coffee with those poached eggs. We'll be back. The girlfriend loves the coffee, and the staff were great, they cleared the plates quickly, bought the food out hot, and they understand that some people like their coffees just a little different without screwing up their face.
Brilliant small place. Small, friendly, great food with a huge (huge) choice from the board, changing every day or so, and the food is amazing and well priced. Been there twice, and is a rare place where I actually ordered pasta which does not happen often to me (can basically do most of the time better at home than in most places). Pasta and pizza are as good as in Italy and my partner, who lived 2 years in Italy, agrees...
Love this place, will go again anytime
Raktacino Cafe. Lovely cafe in a nice quiet area with friendly staff, great coffee and tasty food!
One of the best pizzas in Perth hidden away in suburban Salter Point. Book a table because this small Resteraunt is very popular with the locals. Fun and friendly staff who make everyone feel welcome. Thank you Raktacino !
Cute and cosy little place where the staff are always smiling and the food is always SENSATIONAL! Amazing value for the size and quality of the dishes and the decor is very cute and friendly. I go there at least twice a week for any meal :) It has to be my favorite place to go with both family and friends!!
FANTASTIC!. Great, friendly cafe. excellent service, brilliantly priced and wonderful food! A very smoothly run restaurant. My favourite was the rack of lamb! Will definitely be bringing a crowd here next time for dinner or maybe even breakfast!
Staff were excellent!!
Fantastic!. I went there last week with my wife and kids and the pizza was absolutely amazing! we ordered a Milano and a pescara, they were cooked to perfection and the ingredients tasted so fresh! The pizza boys at this place really do seem to know their business and could not be friendlier. All of the staff at this cafe are so friendly and helpful. 10/10 i will be going back again
Impressive dinner. Had dinner here last week. Very impressed. Such a great menu, also some very interesting dishes caught my attention. i had the seafood platter, and it was delicious. Such great service as well, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely going back sometime soon!
Outstanding. This little cafe has everything outstanding - the food, service and setting.
Went there for afternoon tea on Sunday and after looking at the menu two of the girls went for the toasted sandwich which was an understatement as the girls said they have never had such an outstanding sandwich. The homemade date and walnut loaf was just like my grandmother used to make. The freshly squeezed orange juice was just that freshly squeezed.
The service was again outstanding as the staff cannot do enough to accommodate you and make you feel so welcome.
I would certainly recommend Raktacino to anyone and we will be going back there in the near future.
The BEST pizzas in Perth!!. I have been to many pizza places in Perth including Little Caesars, Sandrinos and Pizzaca and I would rate this little pizza place above them all! The service isn't amazing- you do have to order at the counter and get your own water BUT it is all made up by the amazing taste of their pizzas- think morish fresh ingredients, just the right amount of salt, thin bases that melt in your mouth.. my favourite pizza is the palermo! if you like prawns, you MUST order this! prices are very reasonable.. highly recommended!!
Good salads and coffee. Always lovely fresh interesting salads and friendly staff. Best salad dressing - bought a bottle. They sell it there. Still to try the pizzas.
Great lunch. Fantastic scallop salad (generous number of scallops) and delicious coffee. Would recommend
Fresh is best!. Pizza was delicious! Nice thin crust, fresh ingredients and not to much mozzarella cheese....yummo! Went there after reading the reviews on urbanspoon. Child friendly with some toys and books and casual environment. Even had some Halloween decorations in the place! I like!!
Say we still had the death penalty, right... Well if I was on my death sentence, I would ask to have a pizza from Raktacino as the last meal. That meal is my right, but I'd give the executer a bite. Once they've tried it, they'll let me go because they'll beg me to share, and I'll only share my if they let me live. The ultimate blackmail... Thanks RAKTACINO!
Local Flavour. Just got home from a lovely evening meal with friends at this little local gem. BYO and fabulous pizzas. free coffee at the for moment for groups of 4 or more. Will be back again soon to try other things on the menu.
Just had a vegetarian pizza on gluten free base and it was delicious! The staff were very helpful and friendly. I am going back for coffee with Bannister Downs milk!
A great local treat!. Raktacino is becoming a popular meeting place and must-go-to spot to enjoy a coffee and snack in the local Salter Point/Manning/Waterford area. It's tiny, but tables spill outside to accommodate all. A treasure trove of books & toys entertain the kids so that mum and dad can finish a hot cuppa in peace! The food is delicious, well priced and the service is friendly. A classy spot with a family feel. Wood fired pizzas are also yum!
Went back tonight for dinner and picked some. Nice pizzas specials and pasta and loved it.
Went back again, tried the specials, goat cheese and caramelised onion and asparagus and chilli pizzas... Yum!! Fym it's usually a 30 to 40 Min take away wait so order ahead.
Went back yet again, the pizza on special pesto, crab and chilli was amazing! Margareta was dissapointing as I expected it to be like the other pizzas with fresh basil, Mozerella and tomato sauce but I got a kids pizza with no fresh bazil and just shredded Mozerella.
Went back again to try more pizzas and the pasta and the swlmon and they were delightful. Great Indian chefs doing some great italian food! A very unpretentious place with fantastic pizzas. European style with think crusts and few toppings making it more flavourful. Woodfired in front of you and reasonably priced. Worth the trip out to salter point. We look forward to trying their pastas next time. They were also quite child and pet friendly which was nice. Coffee was average tho.
Nice little coffee shop in a beautiful quiet part of Salter Point, little pricey but food quality is good.
Would be great to see more options on the menu.
Had lunch with friends a few days ago. Very impressed. Great menu with the usual suspects and some interesting tasty alternatives. All four 9f us really enjoyed our various dishes. Well priced too. Definitely a find.
This place is kind of casual. Orders are placed at the counter and not taken at your table. You will need to get your own menu from the counter prior to taking a seat as well.
This is a BYO restaurant. The best I could do for myself was fetch a bottle of Bundaberg Ginger beer from the fridge to purchase.
For entree, my wife and I shared salt and pepper calamari. Whilst it was nice and tender calamari, I thought the salt and pepper flavour lacked taste. There was no pop or spice about it really.
Unfortunately my wife ordered the Lamb shoulder and I ordered the Scotch fillet. At the counter, I was informed they didn't have any Lamb shoulder to which my wife swapped to the special of Lamb rack.
Soon after ordering. The waitress came to our table to tell us they also had no Scotch fillet so I changed to the Special of Fillet steak.
I thought this was a little disappointing. The menus were only printed pieces of paper and nothing special. It wouldn't be difficult to print pages suited to the meals of the day. It also would be simple to have a menu board which could be kept up to date. It wouldn't be hard to have a menu of actual available meals.
The meals once they came were of restaurant quality and of minimal complaints. Only I was never asked how I would like my steak cooked and I felt it was a little on the well done side of medium.
I felt it was kind of over priced for the casual service. The fillet steak was $38.50 and the Scotch was $40.50. For a decent restaurant and the meal I received I think this was reasonably priced however it came with only casual service which may make it a little expensive. Of note, I never received a refund when I was informed the Scotch was not available. It was only $2 less and I never asked for it either.
I suggest it stays popular more for its location. The clientele were of an older demographic and I suspect a reflection of the local population. I would say 3/4 of the customers were more elderly. Maybe 60 years or older. I usually wouldn't mention the age of the other patrons however it was noticeable.
Milan the owner is really good chef and the woodfired pizzas are famous not just in the surrounding area but people come for from various metropolitan locations.
Good service and relaxing atmosphere.
The dunny at the back could do with an upgrade if you happen to need to use it...
Hot chips are the bomb! Great size serving for a large (teens couldn't finish) chicken Panini was nice. Milkshakes - average. Chai latte frappe - 😋. Good casual cafe in Salter Point.
Great food, coffee and pizza, great friendly and happy staff...Highly recommended..
