The Osborne has been seriously buzzing since it's renovations late last year. With a gorgeous new rooftop and updated decor, the Osborne is the place to be. It gets really crowded, especially when the weather is great, so expect to line up.
To avoid that hassle we visited for lunch and it was just as lovely during the day. The main bar area is large, and the dining area is so luxe, but yet still comfortable. The service was really good, both in the bar and restaurant, and the food came out really quickly.
The menu covers most pub classics, and we enjoyed our pizza and calamari. Both were fresh and tasty, and cooked well. Complimented by some cocktails, it was enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
The Osborne is definitely at the top end of local pubs, with a more sophisticated feel than your average local; and it's popularity is proof that people like a pub with a touch of class.
Surprisingly tasty menu. I ordered the fish of the day which came with tomato, basil and olives (not sure what happened to the olives though) and the broccoli side. The fish was well cooked and had a great crispy skin. The broccoli was also excellent. Wine list leaves a bit to be desired.
We had our first visit to The Osborne for a work lunch today.. The space is light and airy and the food was good quality pub fare. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The service was good also. We had the chicken tacos with their delicious and crispy chicken and lovely fresh salsa, the pumpkin salad and the Caesar salad were great as well. No complaints here.
