Amazing chicken burgers! Two hand job! Didn't need the extra fries, servings were huge! Nice fresh ingredients and I think there were even 2 chicken schnitzels in the burger! Would recommend if your in the Barossa.
Good country dining. This is a country bistro with the charm you might hope for but without the pretense you might fear.
Menu covers the spectrum without the detail that a large restaurant would offer. We chose both vegetarian and meat - dishes were well presented and obviously prepared by a chef who knows his or her stuff. There were not many in the restaurant so we did not have long to wait, but if they had been busy we would have been looking for some bread for survival.
Wine list presented good quality local wines - information about these wines would have added interest.
We would return and recommend.
Photography. Bucks Bistro is a beautiful establishment and has a number of Art form, hanging on the walls for the enjoyment of customers. The meals are hard to fault and variety it appears is the name of the game.

Suzi. We had the pleasure of sharing a meal at Bucks with great friends tonight and we all came away feeling very happy and satisfied. Our meals were great and the service was flawless. The old historic building has been brought to life with wonderful artwork including local pieces and the wood fire created a warm and cosy atmosphere. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and we will be back!!

A great place to eat - Buck's Bistro. I have just read with some astonishment, two negative reviews of Buck's Bistro. My partner and I (and many of our friends) eat at Buck's on a regular basis. It has always been a most enjoyable experience! Great food and good service from friendly, helpful people in a lovingly renovated blacksmith's shop. To add to the ambience the owners feature the work of local artists. I thoroughly recommend Buck's for your dining pleasure!

Loved this place. Went with a couple of friends and had a selection of dishes. There are do many oysters to choose from! Had the battered, mornay, killpatrick, mojito and nova scotia. All tasty. I had rump with marron which was great. Friends had barramundi with scallops, veal and chicken with marron. All very good. Went back the next night for more oysters, kangaroo, rabbit pie, chilli mussels, duck and dessert. Great food. Great prices. Great wine and generous servings. Only problem was the toilets were freezing!!
Always a great meal!. We have eaten at Bucks Bistro many times and have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The chef always does a great job of the meals and the staff do a great job with service. If you want a nice meal in a relaxed rustic setting you won't find much better than Bucks.
There will always be those out to get something for nothing even if it is only a free meal for complaining loud enough!

I have On Block photos at Bucks Bistro in the beautiful little Township of Springton. At the rear of Bucks Bistro is Poverty Hill Cellars where I replenish my Red Wine stock. I have been getting my red wine from John some three years. It is Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, direct from the grape as pure as you would buy anywhere in the world. The Eden Valley area is known for its wines and Poverty Hill wines live up the Tradition. John has a New Vintage 2012 Riesling out, I was given a bottle to sample, the wife and I enjoyed with Friday dinner, and it was superb. Easy to drink, smooth with a fresh taste, what more could you ask for.
I would suggest a visit you will not be disappointed.
