Review Pho Hung - Springvale

Joanne Lung
High quality pho and other well known dishes served with lightning speed, this place and all its sister restaurants define the standard in Melbourne for me. The broth is so flavoursome I often drink half the bowl. Generous portions including the meat, good value food in a down to earth setting. On the way out, we were amused by the two adjacent stickers "cash only" and "no cash kept on premises". 😉

Really great service here, compared to your other restaurants nearby. Food is top notch, and great seating outdoors as well with if you’re COVID conscious. Classic dishes like beef pho and pork chop rice are up there with the best. Cash only though.
Mario Botakis
Excellent Pho, broth had lots of flavour, meat to noodle ratio was perfect. Their mini pork and prawn spring rolls were fresh and crunchy. Highly recommended. Be sure to bring cash as it was cash only when I went.
Vanessa Wong-Lee
Love their broken rice. The meat is so well flavoured and they give a generous amount of rice and shredded pork with soup on the side.

Meals came out super quick! Generous portions at a good price. Only downside was that they only accept cash payments which I was unaware of until it was time to pay. I had to walk around the streets (at night) looking for an ATM to withdraw cash while my friend waited at the restaurant for me to get back and pay.

Got pretty sad when it was $15. The pho is ok. There’s better in Springvale. Service was quick.

Tried the pho for takeaway. Lackluster. Overpriced. Soup was warm, not hot and it's supposed to cook thinly sliced, raw meat. The meat wasn't thin. Was thick and chunky and clumped together, you couldn't peel it apart for it to cook in the broth. Had to microwave it a few times. Noodles weren't amazing. Fell apart as they were very soft. Herbs, bean sprouts, sauces were thrown into a plastic bag that was not food grade. Unhygienic. Gave us way too much herbs. Used less than a quarter. The four of us ended up throwing out our food as the whole meal tasted like beef stock and coriander. Made us feel unwell. Was left feeling hungry and ended up ordering maccas.

Pho. Unpretentious Vietnamese beef noodle soup is what pho hung is famous for and it delivers. Service is quick and on point but were here to eat pho. Finish it off with Vietnamese ice coffee and you have a great winter meal. Did i say the broth packs a massive punch?

THE BEST PHO IN SPRINGVALE! 😍

So much flavour in the rare beef pho! Grilled pork and grilled chicken dishes very good! Great value for money!! Always busy, quick service!

Points for: amazing pho

Pho Hung is the only other place I go to for pho in Springvale - it's still very busy but usually you don’t have to wait long (if at all).

Pho comes out super quick - one of the differences I like here is that when you get the combination special, you also get the round beef sausage, young chicken eggs, and whole liver pieces.

The liver is so good - it's soft, crumbly, irony and perfect when you chase it with soup.

Very cheap at $11 for a regular, and that's all I expect from an awesome cheap and cheerful restaurant!

Pho was cooked terribly. Noodles’ texture was bad, very mushy. There wasn’t a single long strip of noodles. It’s like broken rice but this was broken noodles. Wouldn’t recommend nor go back again.

Craving a hot bowl of pho on a cold rainy day. Ordered the large beef and tendon pho. There was plenty of meat. The broth was quite flavoursome. Food also comes out quickly.
Vivian
Yum! The pho here is really authentic and is one that I go to quite regularly! I believe they are one of those restaurants that only have pho on the menu , my fave is always sliced beef or the beef special

Our favourite place for pho in Springvale! We are here atleast every month. The portion sizes are large enough that depending on how hungry you are, you can share a large between two for less than $14.

This place is always busy which shows how popular if it's. Service is very fast and efficient!!

Venue is a bit out dated but it's the good that counts and it's highly recommended!

Due to a long queue at another pho restaurant we planned to go, so we came to this one on a rainy Saturday morning. I think the texture of pho is below average. And the attitude of the cashier just made our experience at the restaurant even more unpleasant.
Andrew
Store layout very basic. Cosy and a little noisy. Quick and friendly service.
Ordered rare beef and beef ball pho and it came within minutes. Meal was nice to begin but had a strange after-taste towards the end. Might've been something I mixed into it though.
Overall would recommend.

Welcome to our Springvale blitz (Part 1 of 7)! We began our exploration of Springvale on an early Saturday morning at Pho Hung. No queues, no worries.
We were seated quickly and noted that the menu was on the wall....no messy or dog eared menus to deal with, another plus.
We ordered the beef special and the chicken and beef combination but with spicy soup (50 cents extra). The prerequisite condiments were on the fairly clean table.
Our phos arrived in record time and both were of generous portions with fresh bean sprouts on the side. The broth was tasty and we did not experience any side effects from MSG so yet another plus.
A lovely start to our Springvale adventure. We then headed to Golden Lake Cake & Roast (Springvale Central) for part 2 of our Springvale blitz....see you there!

We had a pho here which was very tasty and flavourful. We both ordered a medium size and a big generous portion size. Reasonable price and the service is quick. The place accept cash only like most other Vietnamese restaurants.

I have bad memories of Pho Hung, a broth just full of MSG. I don't mind MSG here and there but when they use so much you know that the flavour profile of the broth is lacking. A revisit was in order, mostly because everyone wanted something different. Friend's broken rice was missing the steamed egg cake, I guess they just don't do it here. My pho bo dac biet was:

* Broth - suprised, I was ready to nod and say, "yep it's rubbish" but it was actually decent. Whether I now have a trained palate or the other two times I had it was during dinner and the soup had been reduced down so much it got way too salty. Drank the entire bowl, I had a small bowl as I wasn't that hungry.
* Noodles - okay, not that silky or thin.
* Meat - the sliced beef wasn't sliced that thin or as tender as I'd like, also I found some gristle which is a first for me in the realm of pho. Everything else was good.
* Condiments - holy trinity of sauces were available for dipping meat or if you are a heathen like my friend you can use it to desecrate the broth.
* Value for money - good, $11 for a small and $12 for medium (I usually get medium).
Tina
Medium bowl of pho was quite large. Everything on the menu were reasonably priced. The broth, noodles and meats were tasty. Staff members were friendly and the service was quick. Would definitely return for future pho cravings.

Despite the local favourite being Pho Hung Vuong, Pho Hung is our pick for the best pho in Springvale given their consistent broth and always generous portions. Oh and you never have to wait in line here!

Follow us on Instagram: @alwayshungryformore

Best pho in town! Growing up in Springvale I have tried pretty much every restaurant that serves pho from Hoa Tran, Pho Hoang Dakao to Pho Hung Vuong. With so many restaurants to choose from, Pho Hung really stands out above the rest. Their bowls of pho come hot out the kitchen and the wait time is usually less than 5 minutes! The broth tho, man. Clear and full of flavour with so many combos to choose. Rare beef, brisket, tripe, tendon, beef meatballs, sliced chicken, all the good stuff! Aside from the pho, they do broken rice and grilled pork which is also tasty and the pork/prawn spring rolls are a must too! If you truly want a super satisfying meal every time you’ll definitely become a regular at Pho Hung.

Really great pho, quick service and good atmosphere. One of the best pho restaurants I’ve been to in Melbourne... definitely the best I’ve had in Springvale!
Sylvia's POV
As a regular customer of Pho Hung's Preston branch I was naturally excited to find one on my visit to Springvale.
The shop is fast paced with quick service, no printed menus except those on the wall, and only the popular dishes are offered.
The pho was great, perfect broth and good value for the price. Always a crowd favourite.

Food: great flavours and portion sizes are quite generous, hard to fault
Service: servers were polite (which isnt always the case at many pho places) and food arrived so quickly, in a matter of minutes
Will definitely be coming back 😊

Tried once years ago based on good review online and not bad but nothing better than next door. I will vote 3 star based on taste. The reason vote 1 after all is because the horrible owner. My friend a mum with toddler was told that she have to clean up the mess before she leave or she can't leave the restaurant! WHAT? As a mum of two very active boys I know how mess toddler can be, but as a business owner, that kind of behavior is just unacceptable. And my friend was going to clean up after pay the bill at counter but then she decided she won't and called the police. I can tell you don't worry about her business because your restaurant already very busy, but keep that attitude, let's see how far you can go.

Great Vietnamese food, affordable prices.

My go to place when i'm down at Springvale. Generally I would order atleast the Bun Bo Hue in a small. Why small? cause you got to save room for other goodies around the area and beef noodle soup is generally a very filling meal already.

The Bun Bo Hue is is amazing, great flavours and packed with greens, truely a spicy refreshment.

We also had the pork broken rice, pretty standard dish among the Vietnamese restaurants. Its a safe bet and always nice (in most places you go to)

You must also get a Cafe Sa Da (Ice Coffee) it compliments the Pho/Bun Bo Hue, and completes a fulfilling lunch.

Overall this place is a great little place, don't expect much service, as it is quite a "street" style type kind of establishment.

Highly recommended!

Always come to this one whenever possible. Generous portions on the meats as a pho diet bac (chicken and beef special) should have lots of stuff. Unlike some shop only put in some sliced chicken breast and chicken giblets on top of a beef special...... I want my chicken blood, liver and all other goodies!

Never disappoints in my last 16 years (where the prices were still $7 $8 $9 for sml reg lrg)

Pho #1 was on the mark. Tables are squishy. Spring rolls were average at best. Beverages were fine. Would come back for the pho only.
What is with the grilled pork on rice? Is that the poor man's broken rice?
Aznweirdo_dimicini_u_moda-beep
i've been a regular since my teens and was always received good service. But one day I ordered broken rice and the size of the pork was the tiniest i was given. My bf ordered coconut juice and we received rude service. The waiter slammed the prepacked juice on the table as said 'isnt this the juice you wanted? well there it is'. Once we finished eating, we found out why we received such bad service and it was because my ex boyfriend was coincidentally there and smacked talked about me. I thought that was unprofessional because they don't know the things that really happened in my personal life and it isn't there business. Luckily my boyfriend didnt order food because he was very observant. i'm never eating here again because that's was not on.
Kylie
Decent pho, nothing spectacular but not bad. Cash only, so the zomato 'cards and cash accepted' was a bit misleading. Like most pho places, a small is enough to fill you up quite easily. Ordered the sliced rare beef. Small is $11 now instead of $10 on the online menu. (Medium $12, large $13). Service is okay, don't expect great service. Not as busy as most pho restaurants.

Couldn't help feel this restaurant seems a little bit overrated - obviously they are popular though and have a nightclub style ropes/queue out the front.

Both times we've been here - the staff have been very unfriendly + we've been shown to the tiniest tables imaginable (and squished in like sardines). Then while you're eating expect to have neighbouring/split table occupants reaching over you to get to the shared cutlery + sauces (not great).

Their menu is pretty much Pho focused - with a small number (5?) other entrees/small dishes. Since they are pretty much only serving this small variety of dishes - the food comes out super quick (as I presume they just cook it anyhow before it's ordered) - so I can see the appeal in that if you've only got a very short lunch break (assuming you didn't have to wait in a queue to get a table).

However, food wise - we haven't been a big fan of their Pho or their Spring Rolls - they weren't terrible, but felt we'd had much nicer elsewhere in Springvale - so can't really see why they are getting so many more customers then the other rivals... One dish worth having though was the entree sized grilled pork on rice - so if you do eat here, try one of these before your Pho.

Occasionally .....

The occasional Broken Rice Pork Chop but mostly their Pho Beef & Tripe and Three Colours, occasionally Vietnamese condensed milk drip coffee.

No nonsense service, choose your bowl size and within 5 minutes it will be served. It has been consistent for years, it used to be part of the big Pho Dzung conglomerate that was set up in Richmond and Footscray.

Simple, Vietnamese Pho shop common Vanilla interior, quite neat and reasonably clean.

The floor team has been serving for years, always attentive, full of smiles and pleasant. A joy to come back ..... occasionally, quite far now.

There's nothing that can quite beat a hot bowl of pho bo that comes out on a cold day, with that steam in your face and that beautiful hearty smell of the broth intoxicating you. Pho Hung dishes up the goods, and portions are more than enough to suffice. Service is the generic Vietnamese standard in the hub of Springvale. While it isn't the most amazing pho I have had, it is still quite nice.

Massive *regular* size đŸ€€đŸ€€ Pho Hung is my most go to pho place in Springvale! Always blasting on air conditioning it feels cold inside even in 38 degrees summer days. I also luv the free phresh bean sprouds, mints and lemon to go with it! But I'm a little sad about price increase😞 I got regular size pho for $12 😗 O well

Cons: Cash only!

Thank you Pho Hung for satisfying my pho cravings 😌

I absolutely loved the pho. Flavourful broth and the ‘beef combination’ and ‘rare beef’ were all wonderful. We also ordered the prawn and chicken spring rolls, which were yet again awesome.

Would come again.
To Be Honest
Food was great and the food was ready in 3 minutes. Only problem (expect with these places) is that it’s cleanliness level. Floor and room just feels a little dirty. Reasonable pricing. 11 for small. 12.50 for medium and 13.50 for large. Very filling and is definitely value for money.
Willtravelforfood17
My favourite pho place! Super cheap and also has the best soup stock for pho in my opinion - and I've tried A LOT of pho! The broken rice is delicious too and a large serving. Service is super fast.
Jeffry
It was a coincidence to pick restaurant because it was pretty close to where we parked the car.
Ordered broken rice and beef rare noodle soup recommended by the waitstaff.

Surprisingly they were pretty good, actually it is considered as one of the best broken rice we ve ever tried before. The grilled pork was nicely done and it was cooked well.
The noodle soup was pretty generous and the beef was very soft.

We really enjoyed having our dinner here and recommended for these dishes.

Unfortunately the place wasn't really convenient as it is too hot inside and i think they need to have better air circulation. Also the table wasn't properly cleaned.

Consistency good pho with quick and good service. I have been to this place since 2008 and frequently visit everytime we feel like a bowl of pho
Portia Postlethwaite
Best pho in Melbourne without a doubt. They consistently make a tasty, flavourful broth and use fresh ingredients. Always can find you a table and provide quick, friendly service.

This is chain restaurant at Springvale, plus Pho Hung 2 had at least 5 groups waiting outside on the weekend. We decided to eat at one of regular place here, yet it was full and got the last table. There is menu on board and ordered medium size beef, chicken pho and prawn spring rolls. They are all good and I can only taste natural fresh flavour and plenty of meat. Some people may think tasteless but I prefer has no artificial flavours.

After a long day of travelling. Stoping by here is one of the good choices you'll make. Definitely feels for the comfort food when I ordered the crispy chicken on rice along with Vietnamese ice tea. Bang for the buck :)

Where to start. Pho was absolutely beautiful, was surprised I finished whole bowl. Huge. Service was excellent, fast , efficient and friendly. Crispy chicken was also tasty. Will be calling this my local pho place.
Maidstone Yana
Efficient service and cheap food. $10 for a bowl of Pho.

Chill, bean sprout, lemon and mint were very fresh. Noodle was smooth and not too soft. Broth was clear but bit bland.

Will come back again.
Cookielessvee
Probably one of.my favourite places for broken rice. Although the price has increased, the flavour remains the same. The meat sizing and egg aren't consistent. One dish had a cooked egg whilst the other was sunny side up and the meat proportions vary. Service is alright you may want to take into account if you have an inside table, don't be surprised that the waiters will be leaning over your table to give.the inside table their food.

This restaurant is very popular and busy during peak hour tradings on the weekdays or weekends. Not the best Pho, that I have had in the past (pretty much average on taste). Coconut Juice/Drink that was ordered was served in its original packaging rather than in a Glass with Ice in it. Service is pretty much average. Restaurant needs a quick renovation to get it back to modern society. Will not be returning anytime soon.

My go-to for that PHOnominal pho fix! I've tried all other places around the area and have gone back several times based on people swearing "such-and-such has the tastiest pho"...but none of them hits the spot like at Pho Hung. Consistently good no mattet time of day. They must be doing something right to be busy right from morning opening time.
Hubby doesn't like pho so he is happy with the crispy fried chicken here.

SERVICE: 3.5/5
No mucking around, they are quick to get you in and out.

FOOD: 4.5/5
YUMMMMMMMM!

DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3/5
Typical pho place and very loud..adds to the authenticity?! â˜ș

KID FRIENDLY: No, crowded

Nay Nay
If I am after Soup then this is the place that I would go to! The soup so good and full of flavour! Its also really cheap. They are super fast but service isn't that great but I don't mind :)

I was suggested to this place by my friends. But i found that the pho just okay. And the price has increased to $1. It is very crowdy though

Having been here for the past 7 years or so, the one thing I can vouch for us the consistency of the pho. Waitresses come and go, but the taste is pretty much the same. That is, consistently good. The only thing I personally did not like is the use of MSG in the broth.

Any choice of pho will not leave one disappointed. I think it is a matter of personal preference. Special beef combination is my thing. And the crispy skin chicken rice is also seriously good too, but only when combined with the sauce that comes with it. Another non pho dish that stands out in my opinion is the broken rice. Having tried from a number of shops in Springvale, Richmond and St Alban, this shop is still tops in my book.

The rest of the dishes like the spring roll and others are pretty much standard fare you find in any restaurant.

The place could do with a bit of better cleanliness. And they should really stop their indiscriminate price hikes ever so often. $11 for a rice dish is a tad high for example.

If you happen to be in the vicinity, you have to try this at least once. Otherwise, why bother coming to Springvale in the first place. Arguably, there is another pho shop that rivals the taste department with this place, and they do not use MSG to enhance their broth. However, this other shop is a pho-only joint, hence you don't get the choice of other dishes which can be a bummer if you are going with a few other people and not everyone likes to have pho for a meal.

As a person who has literally almost eaten every single bowl of pho in Melbourne (it's been an intense 21 year effort), I don't mean this lightly when I say this pho is my ride or die. The soup pretty much elevates you to the heavens and beyond and cleanses you of pretty much every sin you've ever had in your entire life.
Spring rolls and vermicelli also pretty decent, but honestly the pho is the only reason worth coming here.

Only complaint about the pho is that they need to stop increasing the price and reducing the meat within the pho. Not cool bro.
Brungiel
The pho here is quite good, but the restaurant itself is a bit dingy and very dated. Service is quick but not very friendly and they only accept cash. Middle of the road pho for me.
DumplingDoll
Fast service with fresh pho, the spring rolls were not the best to be honest, the wrapping was a little thick and the filling was nothing special, just some pork and carrot. But reliable for a quick meal! ....
Wintice
Pho was decent but pricier than some of the other equally good pho places in the area. We came rather late and we didn't know they were closing in 20 minutes because they took us in as normal. We were quickly served and staff went around telling customers that they would be closing soon. We had to rush to finish the meal and it was not exactly enjoyable. They should stop accepting customers earlier or warn them when they place an order.
Vanilla
I always drop by for lunch when in Springvale - the beef special in particular is amazing and the serving sizes are really generous!! Can get quite crowded at times, but great for a quick meal.
JKGasMan
Still one of the best pho places in Melbourne. The broth is authentic, the ingredients are fresh and plentiful, and the rice noodles are very slurp-worthy. The place is busy for very good reason. Prices have gone up slightly over the years we've come here but that won't stop us from visiting. Highly recommend the beef 'special'.

"PHOMAZING" This was heaven and may I say it ( Oh My God Amazing )I'm not normally one to use "OMG" in a review, but Pho Hung has blown my expectations out of the water. Pho Hung's true authentic pho is what pho is meant to taste like. I can see why the place is always busy and it truly is so worth anyone's time to travel out here to Springvale to find out for themselves with how pho should really be tasted, enjoyed and in my opinion celebrated. My tastebuds are still singing in what I can describe as a heavenly chorus of hallelujah. Despite the fact in the end I was full with my giant sized medium order, I just couldn't resist the pho's charm and just had to finish, as to me it would be such a crime against nature to waste in what I would describe as saintly deliciousness. I can't wait to come back as this has really been such a nice and wonderful surprise for today. I can honestly say with true joy that it also has put me in a fantastic mood. It has great service, very fast and efficient and prices you can't look past for being so incredible affordable. Huge thank you for my friend May taking me here for this wonderful treat. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger --------> I'll Be Back !!!

The Vietnamese broken rice is fine but not as good as what I've expected. The soya milk tastes really bad, it tastes like milk powder with no taste of soy in it, the restaurant should work on it.
DuckieLovesToEat
I came here with the girls. Both were cravings for some pho and I wanted to eat some of the BBQ pork on rice so I decided to get that. The two ladies I went with both had the beef pho and we also added some spring roll. I was satisfied with my BBQ pork on rice and the other two finished their pho with gusto, and the spring rolls were delicious. The food came out pretty quick and the service was not so bad at all. If you are looking for something quick and easy then you are on the right spot.
Signor-Gastronomico
Can't say I'm a pho soup person so I can't comment on that, but I'm sure it's great considering the enormity of reviews. I love their grilled chicken on rice for $10 bucks (As of Oct 2018 it is $12.) You cannot go wrong, flavoursome chicken, nice rice and a generous sweet chilli dipping sauce accompaniment. They also give you a complimentary broth in a separate bowl with it, which I find really accompanies it well. I really like the dish. One of the few Viet restaurants I go to in Springvale.
Foodinfocusz
The place was absolutely pumping which to me would indicate its popularity. Within minutes our pho and spring rolls arrived at the table and both were good especially the pho. A decent stock base makes the difference between a good and a mediocre pho also tender beef and they have achieved this.
Elmocookie
My favourite pho restuarant in Springvale. There's too many places to try but this place has been consistently good. The broken rice special is great too. Not the cleanest but I guess it adds to the flavour!
TimTamEats
Great little place for some good pho. I had the usual, a beef and tripe noodle soup. The soup was quite nice, as usual. The beef was rare, which then got cooked in the soup. The service is very fast and the food comes out like a bullet train! The only down side to this place was the Chicken slice pho that my mum ordered. The chicken was dry and chewy, and she couldn't eat half of it. Overall a good place for pho.
Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
A sweet, highschool memory; here the pho soup base is aromatic particularly with star anise and fresh greens, the colour is deep and not clear, hot and flavoursome... The beef brisket is my favourite.
CZeng
Best place to go to if you're craving pho or special broken rice in Springvale, and I've been eating here since I was a kid. Great place for a quick satisfying cheap meal.
Chisyelda Oey
The staff was very nice, the outside door was locked but seeing that we brought a baby, he opened the door just for us so we wouldn't have to walk further to the door inside the shopping center. The pho was very nice, the broth was leaning to towards the sweeter side but I actually prefer that rather than saltier broth with lots of MSG in it (pho dzung in Richmond). They were generous with the coriander leaves, it was just perfect with the soup. The beef were sliced quite thinly, just how I like it, but they could probably be a bit more generous. I also liked the prawn spring rolls as well, crunchy and I could taste the prawns' sweetness. Price was a bit more expensive than other pho places I've been to (like $1 to probably $2).
Marat
We decided to try this place based on Zomato's "What the Pho!" collection. We regularly visit Hoa Tran in Springvale but thought it might be good to try something different.

So to the Pho. It's good. It's Springvale so you'd expect it to be good. But it's not great... it's not better than Hoa Tran. In fact the soup was sweeter and with less meat than you get at Hoa Tran. Plus the place is small and doesn't have a menu apart from the soups and 4 rice dishes, so if you're after an entree with your soup you're out of luck.
JW
Nice little pho joint located within the shopping center of Springvale. Their prices range from $9-$11 per pho depending on your size (small, regular, large). We got the regular beef pho with rare beef and beef balls. Firstly, their broth is what I would describe as relatively on the sweeter side, a little bit sweeter than the pho that I was exposed to in Vietnam actually. It was not unpleasant but I did feel like I had to add some chilli oil just to savory it up a bit.

My disappointment with the pho was that it did not have enough meat. I often find myself leaving a lot of meat behind because of the sheer amount you generally get in a pho. Not in this case unfortunately, I was left wanting that little bit more.

My preference would still remain as Hoa Tran for the best pho. The broth is more to my liking and the prices are cheaper ($8.99 for regular and $10 for a huge). Hoa Tran also has a myriad of entrée and side dish options whereas Pho Hung merely had a spring roll dish that cost the same price as the pho itself.

The four color was tasty but a little bit on the small side. The white milk coffee was lovely. Sorry but it's Hoa Tran all the way for me!

Nothing is more fortifying that a big bowl of noodle soup on a miserable rainy day. So it's Pho Hung to the rescue. The pho noodle soup come into a small ($9), regular ($10) and large ($11). I ordered a large sliced braised beef (just because it was only $2 more and the bowl looks twice as big) which came impressively quickly. The pho broth was deeelicious - complex in flavour, yet light. The freshness was provided by the mint, bean sprouts, coriander and spring onions. Good value, cheap healthy eats.

Springvale means great Vietnamese food. The pho there is exceptional – always consistent, fast and lovely smooth pieces of beef.

Great Pho. One of the best Pho restaurants I have found. If only I worked closer to it.
Jenn
I have been eating here for almost all my life ordering the same dish beef pho it is the best in melbourne ! Nothing would compare, just a shame that the staff Arnt that little bit more friendly. If the pho wasn't so good I probably wouldn't go.

Perfect PHO any season!. Best pho ever. Service is good compared to other places in Springvale.
Worth a try and you will be back.

Have been eating here for close to 3 years now with our 7 yr old son and toddler, they both love the spring rolls!
My partner and I discovered the morning pho only recently and it's the way to go especially at Hung because by midday it's difficult to get a seat.We have had pho in all the Viet precincts of Melbourne and believe Pho Hung is easily amongst the cities best and our current favourite! We are treated like regulars now, which is nice!! Best in Springvale if not Melbs!!

Worst food in springvale. Wanted a change from the usual pho store i eat at (Pho chu le) and liked the looked of Pho Hung.

I ordered Sliced Beef Pho... and well how do i not put this delicately...
it was disgusting then beef undercooked and the broth taste like the smell of wet towels... never eating there again.
Heres a tip, want good pho? Eat at Pho Chu le.
Luke
Almost perfect. This is one of those places that is usually almost completely full.

It has one of the best beef pho soups in all of Melbourne! A must see for all lovers of vietnamese food.

Its Pho King awesome. Best Pho in the area.

The place is not the prettiest but the service is relatively good and the food served comes in generous portions. The menu is also priced extremely well with rice noodles starting at $7.50.
I'm ashamed to say I like adding heeeaps of chilli oil into my phở
Eat And Be Merry Crew
Finding ourselves in Springvale again, we took the opportunity to try out another eatery. This time it was Pho Hung. Initial impression was that PH was busy and chaotic. Inside, the tables are cramped with hungry diners, loud chatter from adults and kids, and the harried staff rushing from table to table. It was certainly popular, as there was a near constant crowd of people standing around in the little space waiting for a free table.
