Review Bonfire - Springvale

Naufan Nurrosyid P
This restaurant is super awesome! All the foods have relatively strong taste, but still can be perfectly tasted. It is yummy! Especially for the lamb-based foods. The place is not so big, but well decorated and have a high chair for the baby. So it is highly recommended. And you know what, they are halal certificate!! So it is perfect!

Great Pakistani food , love bbq from this place

The quality of the food is fine but the service is very low because there is only the cooker and one worker who work in taking orders, waiters and cashier. You can't operate a whole restaurant with 2 people and expect much. Plus the food has no salad or sauces for that high price . It was not good experience.

This joint is only running because of good food. Other than that, the floor staff, specially the one in the front with the glasses have no basic etiquettes. Tried to place an order over the phone and she bluntly hung up, even after calling the second time she's but rude. Please teach your staff to have basic hospitality services. Thanks

Honestly guys their food quality and quantity has dropped to the next level !! We used to be a regular customer and they were good but 2 nights ago when we went for dine in we were left disappointed. The food is cold and microwaved. The bread is not fresh and the price for the quality and quantity is way too much. Dont waste your money!!

We had a dinner on Sunday at bonfire cafe. The service was very good. We were 12 people we went there without any booking. The girl at the counter adjust us. She provide us the table and look after our family as well. The food was very nice as well. Thank you bonfire.

my sisters and i used to frequent this place and their food was always really good

Ordered few dishes yesterday. Highly disappointed with the taste.. worst kadhai chicken ever .. even the oil wasn’t cooked properly...paneer was tasteless too... Biryani was just ok..<br/>The only dish which i found better was chhole...<br/>Rest everything was tasteless including the Naan... I would not recommend this restaurant personally

Good food with average customer service and terrible management. Had to wait 15 mins for bread naan with came after they serve the main dish which went cold. <br/><br/>Comfortable seating area. Could have been easy 4 stars but the ONLY CASH is the most annoying part. They have an atm inside will costs $2.20 for a transaction.

I bought the butter chicken today and whilst eating i found a long human hair in my food. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be eating from here again.

First of all delicious food . 1st time I tried Pakistani resultant I tried duo non veg combo meal . It contained 2 seekh kabab, 6 pieces of chicken boti, karadi chicken gravy , 2 butter naan, salad, raita and two soft drink can of your choice . Only your somewhere around 25$ . Amazing for price and totally worth it . The seekh kabab was the the best kabab I tried . <br/>Must try .

The food is really good here but this place has the worst service imaginable. We’ve only ever had takeaway from here and every time we go to pick it up (despite waiting the amount of time told) we’re always waiting a long time when we get there! No one seems to know what the other person is doing in this restaurant it’s so frustrating.
Chengbear77
The food taste is tasty. U fortunately, they have the worst customer service in Melbourne! My first visit, my friend order a plain roti, they gave us two and charge for two piece. I went there again today, alone, they have 2 four seater table, but asked me to wait for 5 minutes, but another four customers were given a choice to choose either one table. I will never advice any of my friend to visit this place. There plenty other tasty foods in the suburb to go to than here.

Food was tasty and biryani was great. One of the worst customer service I have ever seen. It’s better to order on ubereats but not a place to go and have a dinner there.
Tapan Mistry
Starters, Curry prep & presentation is very authentic, flavorful & tasty<br/>Naan can have more varieties & should be more softer, have to fight to tear apart the naan
Reenielicious_
I used to love the food here. I came back after a year to have the biryani and bread. There was uncooked dough in my platter which after waiting for 10 mins( as they were busy with only two people at the front) some one came and changed it. No apologies but just a change of naan. The karahi chicken or the kebab was good but the lamb in the biryani was so salty it was inedible. I was disappointed more so coz this used to be my fav place in the past :(

Giving 1 star because zero was not an option. Pathetic service and Rude staff. We ordered delivery and they did not give half of the Items, when we called staff to ask for the items they made me talk to three people and then hang up on me. Seems Customer service is not imp to them.<br/>

The place and atmosphere is pretty dull, needs bit of love (new pain, toilet renovation, etc.). The waitress was good. In general, service is pretty decent.<br/>We ordered butter chicken, lamb karahi, seekh kebab, naan and saffron rice. Butter chicken and lamb karahi is very good. Butter chicken is creamy, flavorsome with grillled chicken. Lamb karahi is flavour, tender with bit of spice. Naan is piping hot and saffron rice portion is generous, plenty for 2 people. <br/>However the let down was the seekh kebab, flavourless, dry and really heavy smelled.<br/>Good point is they have spacious parking, near shopping centre place and open late night. In conclusion, we will come if desperate and late night with the crave for Pakistani food. If there are other options, unfortunately we will give it a miss.

If you want to wait 45 minutes for your food to come to the table than this is the place for you! Our goat shinwari looked boiled and then just tossed in masala, lacked flavour and was smelling a bit so we sent that back. Our mugh cholay were average and naan were soggy and burnt. The staff was clearly over worked and had no clue what was happening. I will never go there again or would recommend anyone else to go. Very disappointed.
Sims Ahluwalia
We ordered take away yesterday from this restaurant. Firstly they got our order wrong. We ordered chicken Mughlai handi and they gave us chicken handi. This is after confirming whether the chef can make the mughlai handi as it’s not on the menu however it is on the menu for their Berwick restraurant. Then we ordered 2 chicken biryani with less chicken and the chef was so generous that we got btw 2-3 small bite sizes pieces of chicken in our biryani.

I keep coming back here for the food. Nothing else about this place is good. Cheap and good food, the quality of which has also considerably gone down from what I last remember. I think this place has survived this long based on past laurels. They need to improve on a lot of things.
Rafinlovescheatmeals
Don't have any fotos of their food but their food and service have gone down considerably over the past few years since they opened up in Springvale .. portion size half of what it used to be and everything else just all bad .. don't go there .. other Pakistani places around south east that are much better value and taste
Mansoor Aslam
Ordered combo. BIRYANI & CHICKEN KARAHI were great. But SEEKH KABAB & CHICKEN TIKKA were not up to the mark. NAAN was also good. SERVICE is ok.
Farha
We went here for lunch and they were doing buffet style only. As we entered the two waiter & waitress just stared at us blankly as if we were so rude to interrupt their conversation. I asked if they were open as there were no other customers there but they said yes only for buffet. I was reluctant to stay but our kids were hungry so we stayed. The only nice thing from the buffet was the naan that they made fresh & the halwa for dessert. Every other dish was either average or below average. Previously we have had good experiences from this outlet but we ordered from the menu so I wouldn’t recommend the buffet lunch.
Him
One of the worst places for take away. Been waiting for nearly half an hour when they only asked for 20 minutes for the order. Still not ready and staff aren't lease bit concerned it's late.
Deepa Pesalangan
Yummie food with lots of traditional flavour. Chilli naan<br/> is too good. I like the way they cook the food. Meat is always cooked so well. Juicy and tender.
Japjot Cheema
I ordered butter chicken, and it was terrible. It didn't taste like a butter chicken. And its taste was horrendous. And the customer service was very poor aswell.
D2world
We got the Duo's combo + a chicken briyani. It was good portioned, ended with some take away as well.<br/>The food wasn't great but not bad either. I would have much preferred they served the starters and then the main course but apparently it's a combo so just shove it on the table - who cares if it gets cold. <br/><br/>Plenty of other options and the pursuit to find that one good Indian / Pakistani place that's got a decent overall experience shall continue... it's there somewhere, hopefully.
FOOD TRIP
Bonfire is a casual eatery in Springvale that serves up a fusion of Pakistani and Indian cuisine. Food is super affordable and generous in size. Would recommend the butter chicken. Chicken Shikarpuri $20 marinated pieces of chicken cooked in clarified butter with fresh tomatoes, dollop of yoghurt, saunf and ajwain and garnish with green chilli and ginger
JIM BO
Always a lovely experience here. My girlfriend and me always get the saffron rice and butter chicken and one other main. Can't recall the name but the kebab meats were amazing. So soft, aromatic and flavorsome. The chilli garlic naan is absolutely exquisite. Sold out last time though which was a shame! Always coming back here!!<br/><br/>Oh yeah the service is fantastic too. So me and my girlfriend are of South East and East Asian appearance but we feel very much at home here. We hope our Chinese and Vietnamese counterparts visit here to experience your wonderful food. I've recommended bonfire cafe to all my friends.

Never been to a restaurant with essentially one waitress and maybe even one menu as we literally had to grab one from an empty table!<br/>Food is sooooo greasy like I would say it can easily give some one over 50 a heart attack, luckily we were younger!<br/>Made an order for the kids based on the waitress advice of being not spicy/ mild. After receiving the order turned out quite spicy and the waitress was like it was the other dish that's less spicy!<br/>When the waitress who's also the cashier said "see you next time" I felt like laughing my lungs out and honestly couldn't hide a grin, like is she kidding!
Kashif
Watery kebab, pathetic karahis full of garlic cooked in pre-made gravy, everyone how knows about Karahi  knows that it is not cooked with pre-made gravy else with is difference between curry and Karahi.  On top of it lame service. <br/>Cooks have absoloutely  no idea about Indian or Pakistani food.  It is much better to stay at home and watch movie while eating popcorns  or make origami boats of dollars and float them in nearby pond and one will enjoy more rather than spending time and money there.<br/>  Utterly disappointing and strongly NOT Recommend

**19.01.17 - Rating downgraded due to the last few times orders have been slower and slower both dining in and take away. What used to be 25mins is now at least 45mins. The flavour of some dishes have also been inconsistent unfortunately. Hope they pick up their game as I wont be willing to wait an hour for inconsistent food.***<br/><br/>Come here for consistent, authentic-tasting Pakistani food...not the service. Perfect for take-away.<br/>I have been to Bonfire dozens of times over the years for quick dinners with hubby as well as larger group dinners with up to 15 people.<br/>We eat Pakistani food regularly and Bonfire is the most flavoursome and authentic we have found that reminds us of the same cuisine back in Pakistan.<br/><br/>SERVICE: 2/5<br/>Bonfire seems to cop a beating in the service department however from the dozens of times that we have been, they are pleasant to deal with if you treat them the same. If you come in on your high-horse expecting red carpet service, you won't get it here. But IMO, there aren't many Indian/Pakistani places that do offer over-and-above service anyway.<br/><br/>I will critique that service is much slower with large groups so we sometimes order ahead so they're organised for when we arrive.<br/><br/>FOOD: 3.5/5<br/>If you're not sure what to get, try one of the combos for an intro to a bit of everything. For a quick meal, we get the Trio Combo for around $38. Bellies full and plenty to take-away.<br/><br/>Chicken Karahi - Our favourite must-have dish. Prefer the flavour of this version over anywhere I have tasted in Melbourne.<br/><br/>Chicken Tikka Boti - Another favourite as the meat has been marinated well. Charcoal flavours are strong and it has the right amount of spice.<br/><br/>Seekh Kebab - Always consistent in flavour and texture. I also appreciate that it is still juicy. Others I've had elsewhere can be quite dry.<br/><br/>Chicken Biriyani - Not amazing but does the job, best paired with another main rather than eaten on its own. Prefer chicken over lamb version.<br/><br/>Naan - VERY good here...fresh out of the oven, piping hot and glistening when it hits the table.<br/><br/>Nihari - Specialty dish that is just delish! The balance of spices in this lamb stew is just YUM. Nice to cook at home but requires time so happy to order this here.<br/><br/>Chicken Handi - For the lovers of creamy, buttery goodness.<br/><br/>Butter Chicken - Thick, creamy and rich. Another okay dish, but not amazing.<br/><br/>Icy cold kulfi to finish off if you have space!<br/><br/>DECOR & AMBIENCE: 4/5<br/>Compared to other restaurants in this category, Bonfire offers a clean space with tasteful decor. Not drab or overly cluttered like other places. There is painted artwork of Lahore on the back wall and ceiling is adorned with kitsch Middle-Eastern pendant lights. Wooden tables and comfy padded seating offer a break from the usual plastic furniture.<br/><br/>Note: Tap water not served, bottled water provided to table is charged to bill if consumed. 2+ containers per table are also charged but we have had instances where they won't if larger group.<br/><br/>KID FRIENDLY: Yes
Nay Nay
Absolutely no customer service whats so ever. Menu very much Pakistiany and a great variety. Place look average and food serving was quite basic. Food had flavour but it was nothing special.

Please avoid this place.. went in after for late lunch.. only us in the restaurant.. no greet when we entered into restaurant have to decide the table by ourself. Food was worst.. kabuli channa was watery with no chick peas in curry.. we ordered chilli garlic naan which cold.. should be hot isn't it..? We ordered 2nd and was not fresh too.. and and do you know they charge for coles mineral water given to you on table at first.. i asked why you charging for water, should be complimentary but no they charge $1.50 on top of bill.. really disappointed wont go again..
Muhammad Abdullah
Shinwari, both Lamb and Chicken, is a must try... such a desi meal topped with a Kulfi was like a time machine that took us back to Lahori Food Street and Pashawari Namak Mandi :D

Value for money super nice food and very friendly staff 10 out of 10. All I can say if people are complaining there is something wrong with them they're never gonna be happy without complaining keep up the good work Bonfire 👌👌👌

Greetings from BonFire Cafe - Springvale. Not being too familiar with Indian cuisine, my partner and I decided to go safe and order the well known 'Butter Chicken' at this clean and inviting restaurant. The chicken was cooked to perfection - very tender and juicy. We decided soak the flavourful butter chicken sauce up with some 'naan bread'. Might I add - the naan bread was piping hot when it came out as it was homemade to order! SOO GOOD. Back to the butter chicken - it was mild in spice, which was good considering that we don't have spicy food often. The addition of the thin yoghurt sauce was able to assist in soothing our pallet if need be. The random side salad was unnecessary. We didn't order rice as being of ethnic background it's a staple at home and surprisingly the amount of food we received was PLENTY!!! We were provided with take away containers and gladly walked out with our left-overs in hand. YASSSSS... I don't have to cook tomorrow! The only down side of tonight's festivities was the limited choice of beverages (no diet soft drink options at all) and the timing of our meals - which was a little over the place. Will come back though!

Last update:<br/>Feb 1st 2018 update;<br/><br/>Absolutely crap food. Lamb shinwari, chicken tandoor tasted like hell. I regret taking my whole team here after a long time. So much salt in their food. My strong feeling is chef has died. I will not visit here again, never again. <br/><br/>Lamb Shinwari is really good. Kabab is also not bad. The guy was super nice and cool. I can rate his home made kulfi about 4. Pretty good. Biriyani rice was not that good but pieces were nice though.

Bloody terrible service. And the one item I like on the menu is NEVER available. I will not bother with this place again. Huge disappointment..
Aadil Machiwalla
Poor food quality, not good service, staff full of attitude. Kebabs didn't have salt, asked us what to do, just eat it! Ridiculous! <br/><br/>Charges extra for water since they don't provide normal water, instead packaged bottle water!<br/><br/>Also, when i asked for the bill, they handed me EFTPOS receipt, when i asked for actual bill; the answer was oh sorry i have closed my register and cannot access the order, shameless!

Have been coming to Bonfire for many years and have never had a bad dish. We eat Pakistani food regularly and can say the flavour is authentic. We generally have the Trio Combo as it's great value and has a bit of everything to try. Our firm favourites would be the chicken karahi, chicken tikka boti and seekh kebabs. Nihari and chicken handi are also great to try. We've always had speedy service except for when we had a large group (15 people). Service isn't anything special however they have always been nice when you make conversation with them. Havs recommended to a few friends and family and they have all lovef the food. Rating is for the food, rather than service and venue.

My friends and I have been coming here for a couple of years now and we've always had a pleasant experience. Food is always fast and hot. Owner is friendly aswell. Would recommend to those seeking a true indian/Pakistani feast.

Chilli garlic naan was good. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, staff is very unfriendly. They told us they did not have take away lids and then we saw that they did. :/Food is dripping with oil. The chiken handi curry only had cream in it. Very very disappointing. We were given a table where we had to move everytime someone passed by. I know pakistani food is delicious but this was disappointing.
Josh Zuker
I've seen this restaurant a number of times but never actually gone in, until now. Being welcomed by the friendly staff made dining here a great experience. The meal was AMAZING. Traditional Indian food done very well. Thanks guys!
Harshad Ghodke
Staff is rude and always makes mistake while taking order over phone. Items are missing almost everytime we order. Food is always hit or miss. At times the garlic naan is perfect but most of the time there is too much or too little garlic on it. Other items at times are very very spicy, very very oily and taste different everytime. On complaining, the staff says "its impossible" rather than accepting the fact that the food standard has gone down. I hope the staff here learns how to talk to customers.
Abhishek R Jain
The last thing you would want to try here is the garlic naan. It is soo bad that you would regret ordering one. And the not soo friendly staff was added to my experience
Food Expert Puru
I had heard good review about this place and visited on a friday evening earlier in 2015. Staff was not hospitable. We were seated near the door and it was left open all the time with cold breeze troubling us. Kebabs were good to taste but too dry. You can sense the whole spices when eating the kebab...reminds one of the mouth watering kebabs of Old Delhi. There wasnt any gravy dish the staff could offer us to eat with the delicious roti and naans. I guess the menu is now revised so another visit should be due soon.<br/><br/>Revisited this joint for lunch...kadai chicken chapali kebab and shintwari goat...all tasty food but waiting time too long....45 minutes...naan bit dry.

Normal sized restaurant but what matters for me is food and they serve Fantastic food...... specially karahis and BBQ.... recommended ......
Garry Kaller
totally disappointed after having food my stomach gave me hard time and service was very disgusting will never suggest to anyone to go there . one of the worst restaurant in Melbourne
Chetan Raju
Disappointed with everything. kadhai chicken was tasteless. Had very small bones making it extremely difficult to eat. Will not recommend this to anyone. There are other better restaurant out there.
Rupinder Kaur Kalsi
We ordered Chicken Karahi, Lahori choolay, 4 Naans. All the food was tasteless. Worst food and worst customer service we have ever had. They charged $4 extra. We were not impressed and cannot recommend based on the poor food quality and poorer service. Waste of money.
Shadab Anwer
Very disappointed - they claim that thier supreme combo can serve 5 people, it is not even much food for 2 people. Chicken Biryani is only for 1 people. Very disappointed.
Sana Meraj
Zabardast food and service as always.... very much satisfied. Recommend to everyone'...............'..........'.............................
Younas Munir
Fantastic food n service. Highly recommended. I tried Supreme combo and i loved my food till the last bite............... will go there again
Parveez Shahid
I'm not basing this review due to one experience, but rather 3 experiences. The place has taken a u turn. Thrice, the chicken was dripping oil and the biryani was very dry. The customer service was very poor. I remember 4 tables who needed something including us but there was no available staff around for a good few minutes. It was only then we requested the manager to get our jug of water.

I used to go to Bonefire, Sydney Road, Brunswick as it is the closest place from my house, however my experience has not been so good, sometimes with food and at other times with the unfriendly, non-professional staff. <br/>A very rude female staff member who really needs to be kicked out of the cafe has always been there from last few years. <br/>She had been treating my other friends as if they were there to beg for some free food. <br/><br/>The food is not so great at Bonfire, and is expensive at the prices they offer, however they should at least train their staff the basics of customer care and how to treat and serve the customers.<br/>Highly disappointed, extremely offensive at the staff behavior and would definitely never go there again!!!
Tommy Webster
Very very poor customer service. It is an absolute shame because they cook good food and I enjoyed the dishes I've had there every time. But on every occasion I've been tempted to leave before my food arrives because it takes ridiculously long to arrive and also because of the poor customer service. Please please please work on your customer service!
Sammy
Great food and it's always same. Always been happy to try their food. Love their trio combo and have been regular for. Also the salad comes with it is always fresh. Wish it could be bit bigger though. However thumps up to this cafe.
Misha Blinov
Wow... this place has gone down hill big time... The staff are unhelpful, the cutlery seems to be 'wiped' and re-used (food and grease clearly visible) and the food - what are you guys doing?  Yuck Yuck Yuck...
Jennya
What a shame! We live local and love to support local but this was the WORST restaurant in the area. Food was terrible. We had the chicken and the beef curry. It was so oily and the spices were not cooked off properly. The meat tastes cheap and old, It was horrible. How are they getting good reviews? Must be their friends writing.
Mark Itaywi
I was very impressed with the food here, I come and eat maybe twice a week. It is very affordable and very authentic. I love Indian/Pakistani food. Service is very good and the staff very welcoming. The menu is good and food excellent. I would give this business a very high rating. I recommend that you try it.
Widya Lim
It was my first time here. The food is really nice and love the customer service so much, I ordered the briyani rice and its more than my expectations. Will come here again next time
Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
When I was here, I found the service was a bit... lost? I don't know if it was a language barrier, or if the person was in training?<br/>The food was a bit average, if I could say, can be better.
The Spice Adventuress
A visit to this restaurant has been on the cards for a long time as one of our friends had been there and suggested it’s a good place to try North Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The Bonfire Restaurant (the café in the title is a misnomer!) is located in Springvale and is a rather small place nestled among many other Indian, Asian and fast food joints. The place is more famous for takeaways rather than dine-in due to the small space and not so appealing service. The food leans more heavily towards Pakistani style of cooking which is rather similar to the cuisine of old Delhi and parts of Punjab and North Frontier.
Ssikkh
Brilliant food. I went with my family and really enjoyed every bite of the food. The served quantity is generous. The staff is helpful. The guy behind the cash counter was very friendly. The chicken kabab was delicious. Will surely recommend this place to anyone.
Gracia Boro
The service here (Springvale Restaurant) is absolutely atrocious.  We spent 45+mins waiting for our food, only for staff to come say that that the chapali kebab that we ordered was unavailable.  We remained patient and said its fine.  We were then given our food to take away.  Luckily we checked our order before leaving as half of our order was missing.  We went back to the restaurant to confirm, only  for them to say that they didn't have the biryanis we had ordered too!!! SO what were they doing for 45mins? Why were they giving us our food when what we had paid and ordered for wasn't in the bag?? <br/><br/>I fail to understand!  Staff are extremely slow, and don't know how to communicate.  The boss too didn't seem to care, nor apologised for the mistake.<br/><br/>The food is delicious, but unfortunately, horrible customer service overshadows this place.
Emilygook_2
Worst Indian restaurant in Victoria. Reheated flavourless biryani. Watery yet oily curries with no meat and no flavour again. They actually tasted like Italian I don't know what. It's near impossible to stuff up naan but low and behold they did it was so thin and crunchy. The service was horrible rude staff who couldn't care less. DO NOT GO HERE
Rubysapra
Good food. Amazin food.. something u dont get in melbourne elsewhere. . Murg chole is my favourite .. n they'v introduced various kulfis.. N i bet i wont find such kulfis elsewhere in melbourne or anywhere else.. and gud value for money.. !
Yumstuff
User reviews. First off the waiter was in dirty trackpants and didnt kno how big the naan bread was... waited 35 minutes for our order then waiter comes out and says "we dont have ingredients for one of your dishes".. walked out, no use arguing with bad service , just walk out and keep your money
Malikusama789
I really like the food specially authentic Pakistani. My favourite is lamb karahi, chicken handi, chicken tikka boti karahi and many more. Food taste is awesome and delicious.

Amazing. Food is really great!

Enjoyed every bite of food.. Hiii everyone, <br/><br/>Few days ago I and my friends , visited bonfire cafe, we ordered chicken karahi, lamb shinwari, chicken tikka along with reshami kebabs and butter nanas. The food came just on time as were told about. The food was delicious, naans were pure pakistani naans, which we used to eat in pakistan, every bite was worth able. I would reckon this bonfire cuisine to all my pakistani, indian and south asian friends. If someone haven't tried bonfire, then he/she is surely missing somethnig in their daily life. Staff is friendly, environment is luxurious. Whole experience was up to to high standard at normal price. I Will visit bonfire again and again.
Hungry Growl
Good Rustic Food. Went to the café with family and ordered chicken kadhai, chicken boti, some nans and lamb kebabs. The flavor of the food was rustic, just as have had in the many roadside restaurants in India. While being a predominantly Pakistani cuisine, the flavor is different from other Indian restaurants in Australia. While the flavor was quite authentic, the service could be improved quite a bit by following basic operational protocols. I did not find the staff rude, only stretched due to any number of reasons I am not privy to.<br/><br/>Overall a satisfying experience for the price paid. Kebabs were cooked just right - not overcooked.
Kaizer Kyrie Rodrigues
Raw meat and worst attitude. My dad bought kebabs from this place a while back and when he opebed the box, they weren't fully cooked.<br/><br/>We rang the manager and he simply said in a rude and uncarring tone "just heat it up in the microwave and cook it yourself"<br/><br/>Hello are you saying I'm supposed to pay you and cook my own food. <br/><br/>This place sucks :)
Sehrish_rn78
First impression is the last impression. I first time visited binfire and it was an immense disappointment . Firstly dining tables were dirty. Secondly they served clld nihari who card eat cold nihari. ladtly the nihari was not fresh it seems they have prepared days ago week ago.
Big-akash
Take away disappointment !. Last couple of time I called for take away for lamb Pilaf sometime garlic chile naan but unfortunately they always runout of that particular meal. moreover I asks two times some alternative option but the most pathetic part is that they went finished as well. regarding that just wanna say do you guys really coock those items or just saying the same crap to everyone that it's finished for the day unless it's a fancy name to decorate the Menu. I could have believe those but you people get open 6:00pm and foods are getting finised around 8:30ish ...!!!!! That's unbeliable !

Stone in the food, n no sorry? Bad customer service ever!!!. Me and my partner ate there several times cos it's the closest halal resto. But this time I never want to go back there again<br/>The food was ok at that time, we ordered bread and some chicken dish<br/>It took ages to arrive! And when we enjoy our food (share plate of chicken) at the very end part my partner discover there is a stone in the food that makes him hardly bite! It was awful!!!! And I told him that this is dangerous thing and he needs to let them know cos this might happen to the rest of customer and stuffs<br/>When my partner told the waiter and I also tell that it could harm some one this and that, he simply just took my partner's plate<br/>WITH NO APOLOGISE, and NOT A SINGLE WORD , or even to confirm that he will let the chef know. <br/>I don't have a clue what this guy thinking. When we head off to the counter to pay, he also does not feel sorry about what just happen . He thinks that we just complaint at the last minute to get another plate of food! <br/>And u know what, we got charge more than what we eat!!! <br/>2 bread with that chicken dish should be $17 and he charged 21<br/>What a bad experience, I was having a dilemma at that day whether should go there or shop next to it that seems nice and have a bright fittings <br/>I personally think that they should take complaint into account!

Having read the reviews I had mixed feelings comming here, we received acceptable service, timely and efficient though a little sterile. My dining companion advised me that this may be cultural. We orders some kebab and they were very flavoursome and made well. The presentation of the dishes was plain and they took a little while to arrive. This was an ok place to visit but a little over priced. TLDR; food tasty service was ok a little expensive.

Great food but bad service for dining in. We had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to seat us. Then we were told to stand aside as they wiped the mess of the table but there were still oil stains remaining on our table. We ordered the Supreme Combo for around $50 which was a 10 minute wait. The food itself was delicious and was relatively valuable for $50.<br/><br/>Overall, I recommend BonFire Cafe for take-out because of the delicious food but not for dining in because of the bad service.

An insight into poor service.. My family has been eating their good quality food for years now. The chicken biryani and shahi paneer complement each other well and are a pleasant sensation of well mixed spices. However in the past few months, the food quality has fallen immensely and there is nothing to cover up the poor service which has always been present. <br/><br/>The higher up workers are all show, they boss the younger workers who have to face the music from the patrons, as I had witnessed today. I ordered over the phone at 12:20pm and arrived at 1pm to pick up my order. I was then seated for ten minutes before being told that I had to reorder. Half an hour later I left without any apologies and false sincerity from the proprietor wishing me a good day. As I arrived home my mother also discovered the take away container with the karahi panner was only half full.<br/><br/>We will unfortunately never frequent there again. <br/>Good luck to those who still believe in the fantasy of tasty food, for it is overpowered by very low standards of service. <br/><br/>-Unsatisfied and disgusted.

Horrible service. It had the worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered lunch at twelve thirty and arrived at one and was made to wait half an hour. That is not how take away works. Disgusting.

You have to pay for water. But food is good.. Great food especially if you want something different to the standard butter chicken, rogan josh etc. Only complaint is that you can't have tap water and have to buy bottled water. This is not good customer service

Dinner. Kadai chicken was good. Biriyani not upto the expectation of what was recommended.Preparation was good, but from my experience of having this dish in various countries,I would suggest please check the rice quality as the smell gave away the taste. But naan and chicken combination was good. Will recommend this to friends.

Discusting and bland food. Hi guys I'm sharing this coz I love food. I've been dine at bonfire restaurant which is Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The food was bland and over whelmed by heaps of cream n cream n cream. No flavours, taste, and aroma comes out from the food.I ordered chicken handi which have to be serve in the small karahi with lots of aromatic herbs n spices which mentioned on the menu. But they served in a bowl with full of cream. On top of that their naans are made totally with self raising flour( maida ) and they were heavy. Naans meant to be light n fluffy. As soon as my food was arrived I order one more curry and it's been I was waiting for 20 min. As restaurant was totally empty.I didn't had my curry n I pay for it with no reason. I hope my information will help you guys.

In 2 minds. Because the foods good but the service is bad. As someone previously mentioned the manager is up himself. Really puts us off going there to be honest. If they improved their service they'd have more diners.

Food good Owner a dick. The service is terrible the owner is very up himself & a bit bitchy.<br/>Food is the type you might have ate when you were in karachi.<br/>The biryani is nice <br/>The salad not worth paying for<br/>The nihari we got was very thick<br/>I would recommend the seekh kebabs.<br/><br/>Service is still terrible the manager has this approach to his business that just because the food is good the service doesn't matter, really amateur.

Authentic Pakistani Food. This place is a food lovers paradise. They do the BBQ on the Charcoal and it reminds me of the Kebabs, Tikkas & Karahi which I used to have in Pakistan. The closest barbeque experience to the real thing. Heaven for all the Pakistani/Indian food lovers. But be warned, the food is a bit spicy :)

A nice change. Very tasty food and reasonably priced. The lamb sheek kebab was so moist and flavourful. Clean restaurant and pleasant staff.
