Review Phu Linh - Springvale

The friendliest service and a great range of dishes to offer here. This place has been here for a long time since I was a kid. We tried their special vermicelli with the lot. A generous amount of toppings and vermicelli come out fresh and steamy. We also received a free dessert which was so nice of them and it tasted great.

This places feels some what under rated. It’s “hidden” away in the back corner of the shopping centre on the 1st floor. The pho beef special was loaded with meat and had a nice clean broth. The quail with noodles was extremely tasty, the quail was marinated well and cooked nicely served on a bed of salad and some fried onions with an egg. The dry noodles also well seasoned We left satisfied and extremely full, and they even gave us a each a bow of dessert for free. We will return to try other dishes Edit: returned to try the tomato beef brisket soup. Tasty and very generous with the beef brisket. Again was given free dessert

Very friendly staff and amazing food!!! Me and my friend Emily came and we got a bowl of beef pho. The noodles were the perfect texture, the meat was tender and the broth was flavorful. They also gave us free dessert which was sweet red bean. The service is very good and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!!!!!

I had a quick lunch as per a mate’s recommendation. The popular dish is a prawn noodles. Oh boy! No wonder it’s a popular. It’s very good. The only thing that it can improve is the noodle texture. It’s a bit hard for my liking. Overall, it’s highly recommended.

One of the best noodle places in Springvale, if you feel like noodles this is the restaurant to go to, the noodle menu is very diverse. The curry noodle is my recommendation to try, very flavoursome and hearty. Their dry noodle is also very good, havent had a bad meal here yet. They also gave complimentary soup and dessert at the end which was a nice gesture.

Phu Linh has been one of the best lunch spots in Springvale for over a decade. Although they are slightly price than your average place, the food is delicious and they do have items that many places do not. Ordered the goat curry on rice, which was perfect for winter. Number 54 on the menu is definitely a winner, especially if you're hungry. Must visit

Had takeaway from this place. We ordered the broken rice which had a nice flavour meat which was slightly sweet. A generous among of pork and rice. Flavour is decent and good for a quick take out

Phu Linh was a very warm and inviting restaurant. We had a trio of noodle soups. The sliced beef pho and beef pho special were pho-licious! Serving sizes were big and the soup was clean. The ban canh was something different. The soup was tasty and there were prawns as well as pork bones. The mountain of bean sprouts was very welcome.

The cherry on top was the complimentary dessert of black glutinous rice with red beans. How heartwarming was that?

Located conveniently next to one of the major car parks in Springvale, Phu Linh should be a regular on everyone's list!

This was our first time visiting Phu Linh after recommendation from friends. Nice bean curd prawn noodle, friendly service, but somehow overcharged us. Pls check your bill when paying.

The dish to order here is bun rieu, a tomato and crab based noodle soup with a distinctly sour broth due to the addition of tamarind. It's not as well known or popular as pho and bun bo hue but definitely worth a try for anyone who loves Vietnamese food.

Follow us on Instagram: @alwayshungryformore

Customer service here is great as the boss tried to seat you as quickly as possible and is really polite. He also gives you a small dessert for free. The grilled pork broken rice is a generous serve and the pork is grilled well and is smoky and flavourful. There are many food items to choose from on the menu and the food is cheap. It gets very crowded so it may be a little claustrophobic.

Opposite Gold Leaf is Phu Linh which specialises in noodles of the Chinese and Vietnamese variety. Got their bun bo hue which was had a nice kick to it accompanied with a large piece of pork knuckle. Broth wasn't too complex and not that many elements in the bowl but still enjoyable. They sweeten the deal by offering a complimentary dessert, a mung bean and tapioca dessert, a light finish to a decent meal.
Friends enjoyed their pho but then again I don't really trust their opinions when it comes to pho.

Used to like getting dried noodles and the bean curd prawn. Hubby got it today and still liked it. Think they changed owners though? I got a basic noodles and chicken and I literally counted 4 slithers of chicken and a bunch of random egg bits and cold pork. I told the waiter and he shrugged me off. Paid $11 for noodles and not what was described on the menu. Most importantly, poor response from restaurant.

Our favorite place for broken rice, we are family of 4 so big place is a plus for us. Lovely service, free sweet soup after meal. Also, wonton is pretty good.

Very cheap and affordable. The food here is cooked well and does not have heaps of msg and salt unlike many others. The seafood fried rice noodles was a very generous serving with lots of fresh veggies and seafood. Staff were friendly and kind. Will definitely be back.

We frequent this place many for many years before we stopped when they change ownership. Also, we felt that the price increase did not not justify the quality of food served by the previous owners.
However, we started going there again in the last 6 months. Not sure why but I guess we miss their dry egg noodle after all. We are pretty narrow in our choice of food there; 90% if the time it is the fried fish cake and fried pork chop dry egg noodles. We have tried other dishes and while they are not bad, we always gravitate towards the dry egg noodles.
Other that doing what arguably the better dry egg noodles in Springvale, the portion is also quite generous. The free dessert is a nice touch.
That said, the soup is on the salty side and I suspect the use of MSG is also, ..... generous. So if you are intolerant of MSG, it is not the place to go. That said, you only live once, so for me, that is enough reason to go there.

Not going to pretend this is haute cuisine, but this unpretentious establishment upstairs in a Springvale shopping centre has friendly staff, super fast service and really, really good asian food. We always have the sugar cane prawns and vermicelli, and wok noodles. Four adults ate well for $59, including drinks, free soup and appetisers. Great value!

It was a cold day and we walked in after noticing the noodle soups on the menu. The place didnt disappoint at all....service is average but the food was good. A hearty beef fillet and egg noodle soup and a special fried rice with prawns and scallops is what we ordered. The soup was really good, warm and comforting. Loved the fried rice and prawns but didnt enjoy the flavour of the scallops. Will definitely go back for the soups.

(^_*) ¥. I ordered the sliced beef noodle. Very fragrant aromatic and amazing. My friend ordered brokenrice it was very brokenly nice ^_^ . My sister ordered spicy chilly beef noodl. The beef was not tender and could use a bit of flavor.

They gave us a complimentary res bean soup. Busy reataurant, will come back.

Verrrrry fast service.

We have been going to this place for a number of years now. The food is always fresh and top quality and the service is fast - you would expect nothing less in Springvale.

We don't see the owner anymore so suspect he is retired however he used to always remember our order without ever making a mistake. Fortunately the quality of the food hasn't dropped since he has left and the new owner is also really on the ball.

Some of the usual dishes we order which never let us down are the broken rice, the diced beef in dry egg noodles, beef brisket and the shark fin soup. I used to also love their goat curry with bread but the last few times I've ordered it, it hasn't been as good. They've replaced the sweet potato with white potato in the curry which doesn't go as well. We normally also order their fresh orange juice and their soup of the day. They always come around and give you little free desserts as well.

It's generally packed on weekends and sometimes there's a bit of a queue. I find when we go late afternoon there are a lot of tables. They do close at 6 PM though which is unfortunate because we really need a place like this for dinner!

Been going to PL for many many years.
Food always amazing. the Old man (Phu) is retired now, but his brother in law runs the place.

I try to go on Saturdays cos you always get extra:a bowl of soup and a dessert of various types of bean, rice or tapioca puddings.

Great Pho, noodles and com tam, is hard to beat.

Cheap prices, fast service, and good food.

This is a real hidden gem at Springvale Shopping Centre, locating on the 1st floor near the rear entrance. I'm really impressed with my overall experience here from the delicious Vietnamese food, lovely service from the host and their complementary dessert. Highly reccomend to everybody. You will not be disappointed.

Offered some Home cooking dishes that are not commonly found in other Vietnamese restaurant. Number 13 mi kho ca tom chien is the most popular dish here. Its a dry noodle with prawn cake and prawn meetball filled with quail egg inside.
