Review Hoi An Village - Springvale

Great little spot for authentic Vietnamese food, the staff are really friendly, food was very tasty and well priced. We ordered pipis with Chinese donuts, XO oysters, salted fish fried rice and quail. Their service was quick and attentive. I’d like to come back to try their hotpot which I hear is a must try from other patrons.

Banh Xeo batter is paper-thin crispy and I love how the middle part has a slight nice chew! As you can see, banh xeo typically has prawn and pork however this place serves up banh xeo with pork, juicy king prawns and squid, along with onions and beanspouts. Service is always friendly and accommodating !

I loved the food there, very nice employees and service was fast in my opinion. I'll definitely be back again to try more of the dishes and get more coffee.

Cane here for takeaway but this place makes amazing lobster noodles. The sauce is so rich and flavoured and compliments the lobster. The chicken spare ribs and flounder are delicious - crispy batter and mixed in with a mix of onions, capsicum, dried onions. Great place if your looking for restaurant style food.

Good place for traditional Viet and Guangdong food. Plenty of choices and priced well.

Decent Vietnamese without having to fight for a carpark in Springvale Central. They also have a good range of seafood dishes.

Easy to park, and conveniently had an Aldi out front. Food was good, I think their menu had a good range without being one of those places that somehow has 300 options on the menu. Do less and do them well. Cheap lunch/dinner, soup was a little bland or watered down, spring rolls were great.

I opted chicken instead of beef for the dried fried rice noodle. It has the breath of the wok.

Great value, big portions, great variety of dishes to choose from and great service! Also heaps of parking space which is a bonus

Such great value. Ample parking. Great variety and very generous portions. Very fast service from a friendly and efficient crew. Lots of seats and space so it’s a good place for group bookings. What more can you ask for? A great place to have delicious Vietnamese food at affordable prices that’s near to Springvale without the crazy parking dilemmas and dramas. Note though that they don’t do split bill but they do accept credit card payments.

This little restaurant is one of my favourite places to eat and it never disappoints. It’s in Springvale south so you don’t have to deal with the crazy parking in the rest of springy.
Food is cheap and tasty, with large portions and the service is super quick, what more can you ask for?
The crab noodles are the best I’ve had and loaded with sauce! It’s so nice to know that you can order anything off the menu knowing it’ll be delicious, without breaking the bank.

Ahhhh I need to come to Springvale more often. I am missing out I can't believe I haven't been to this hidden gem before away from the nightmare of the parking in Springvale. Came here for lunch with a group of friends and we ordered so much for a fraction of the price, food was soo authentically good and so so cheap.

Good sized restaurant with heaps of seating. Heaps of traditional food options very much authentic. Reasonable prized and good flavours in all the dishes

Over the years I've visited Hoi An Village a few times. The food is respectable without ever being exceptional.

During the last visit I ordered:
- sesame prawn toast - this seemed to lack any real meat whatsoever. Appeared to be a cheap store bought product.
- rice with crispy chicken - the red rice was a tad bland; the crispy chicken tasted just right

The menu is typical Chinese/Vietnamese (that is a very long menu) and you're bound to find something that you will fancy. Just avoid the deep fried entrees

Place is near to work, opposite ALDI, ample parking space and prices were reasonable.
Front side it looks a bit old, but the food was alright. Not grand or fanciful but I had the rice noodle soup with seafood for $12. Plentiful of seafood- prawns, calamari, fish in it with lots of vege.
It was flavorful and nice. Service was very quick too. I don't mind coming here again.

There is nothing exceptional about Hoi Ann except for one thing, and that is the family feel of this Vietnamese eatery.

There is something about being in a place filled with families on a Sunday lunch that just feels homely to me.

Hoi Anne has an extensive but very standard Vietnamese slash Chinese menu, with the emphasis on the Vietnamese interpretation of Cantonese. Nothing to call your friends in Hong Kong over, for sure... But they would appreciate the simple service, simple food and really modest pricing of this family restaurant.

Recommended as 3.5 stars. No thanks Zomato for taking off the ability to give a half star. ☹️

Great food and customer service! This place has a very traditional Asian homely feel, which creates a great environment. The food is delicious and drinks as well!

We had the spring rolls, spicy chicken ribs and xo pipis. The spring rolls were fresh and crispy. The chicken ribs and pipis were also very delicious and filling as the portion sizes were big. The service was also prompt and good. Definitely recommended!

Always check price first. Dine here a few times because my friend live nearby, have to argue about the bills most time. One occasion, we ordered 2 small potion of food, were chared for big ones. They said what they brought out were big. Other time when we came in big group the boss said he would give free dish. Later it was included in our bill. I will definitely never come back again.

It's tough rating a Vietnamese place based off of one dish, as you know these places have over a hundred dishes and only execute a handful of them really well.
What better dish to rate a Vietnamese place than to order com tam (broken rice), the default choice in my books when I don't know what to order.
The pork chop wasn't dry as some other places but nice and juicy. The fried egg unfortunately wasn't runny which is a disappointment but not a suprise as a lot of places also cook out the yolk, you want that yolk to ooze all over your rice... ohh baby! As for the meatloaf it didn't taste right and wasn't fluffy. The bi (shredded pork skin) was standard but cold, kind of like I'd get at home out of the fridge. Average com tam.

Decent Vietnamese food. I often come for the bun bo hue or the crispy fried noodles that I quite enjoy. Sometimes the broth of the bun bo hue is on the oily side.

A great option for casual eats without having to go into Springvale central.

SERVICE: 3.5/5
Fairly quick and they will diligently bring you whatever you need when asked. The owners are nice when you frequent the place or make conversation first.
Have always managed to get a table quickly here makes for a more pleasant (less HANGRY) experience.

FOOD: 3.5/5
I would recommend the basic dishes like the vermicelli salads, rice dishes, stir fried noodles dishes etc, rather than the elaborate mud crab noodles or the like. Go to Springvale or Sharkfin for that!
My go-to here is usually crispy egg noodles with beef and chinese broccoli, the stir fry beef vermicelli salad or the seafood fried rice noodles on occasion.
Ask for chilli oil and you're set to go!

DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3/5
Spacious enough and clean. Plenty of natural light makes for a less drab meal. One thing I always find confronting, particularly in Vietnamese restaurants, is the strip of tile mirrors lining each wall. Is it to check if there is coriander on your teeth??? Functional I suppose!

KID FRIENDLY: Yes - highchair available

This restaurant is a BIG RIP-OFF. We asked how much a kilo of lobster and we were told that it's $85. But if you purchase at least 2 kilos, it comes down to $70. That was fine.....came the bill, they charged us $70 per lb.....bloody hell. No one uses pounds here in Australian restaurant, when we purchase something it is always per kilo. We ended up paying more than twice the amount of what we were suppose to pay. Stay away from this restaurant.....This is a BIG CON.

Love the food. I am a regular.

Good value for money and great service.

Every time I go it's full of Vietnamese ppl which is a good sign.

I would recommend the broken rice and the Pho too.

For one person it will cost about $12.00-$13.00 for a meal

Cheap and nasty. Ordered a sliced beef pho with no onions/spring onions and an avocado smoothie as they don't sell three coloured drinks. How can a Vietnamese place not do three coloured drinks? Also found out they don't have their avocado smoothie available.

When my pho came out, it was absolutely covered in onions and spring onions, not to mention it was slammed on the table and the waiter was off before I could tell him I ordered the dish without either. When I finally got their attention again, they took the dish back to the kitchen and 5 minutes later, the same bowl came out with less onions and spring onions, but still plenty sitting in the bowl. Not happy
