Review Highways - Springvale

It was a great little "Irish" bistro but the food was fantastic. Unfortunately the Guinness was not on tap but from a can. Southern Chicken burger was tasty but fell apart quicker than my previous relationship - pack a bit less in and it would be perfect.

Was there for a wake in the function , the service was brilliant and food was excellent. The pies , sausage rolls , meatballs and chicken skewers were very yummy and so good to eat. Thank you so much for a wonderful venue.

Good place for the kids to run around. The food is not too bad. The Parma was nice but chicken a bit tough and breading on the bottom was completely missing. Very amateur. Chips are delicious and crispy however.

The Greek Lamb salad that I ordered from here was very yummy and the size of the meal was okay. I would recommend this meal if someone asked me which meal I'd choose from the menu. I would go back here again for a meal

A quick business meeting / lunch on a Friday. The place was surprisingly quiet considering the $20 lunch option however it is out of the way from many businesses. The food was ok and the service was friendly. If you are after a quick bite of lunch and a smiley face to serve you - pop in when travelling down the Princess Hwy.

Great if you have kids. They are everywhere and running around everywhere. Please keep an eye on the in the play ground. They can get hurt. Other wise so very very noisy. Food is ok... i did enjoy the fish and chips.

The lamb Salad is amazing!!!!!!! Every time I work that way I order it. I love my salads ans this is one of the best I've ever had! Please keep this on the menu

Ordered the roast pork loin on uber eats. The pork was rubbery, the potato, the greenbeans and the pumpkin were all undercooked and crunchy. If they had served that to me in the restaurant I would of sent it straight back but you don't have that option on uber eats sadly.

Lovely place to kickback and enjoy the meals which are yummy and the desserts are mouthwatering been there many many times and will keep going back��

Best pub around

Good option for a family dinner based on the open space and play areas however I found the food to be rather expensive for what you get, basic pub grub. Without the specials this would be an expensive family dinner. In saying that, portion size was generous and service was friendly enough. Flavour was on the bland side and you need condiments. Nothing much else to say. 2.5-3 stars

Been here before and it never disappoints, always quality and value for money "pub grub".<br/><br/>I had the Nasi Goreng, with plump prawn and chunky chicken pieces and the other meal we enjoyed was a lovely Salt And Pepper calamari with huge chunky chips and a well dressed super fresh salad...worth every moment spent with these two lovely meals, highly recommended!!

Great place to stop for a beer. Always seem to have some deal. Cosy seating and the option of sitting outside play pool or watch some sport 👍

Came in for an impromptu family lunch, and was well above expectations. Lots of chicken Parma options, reasonable prices, pretty good service. Would go again for a casual meal. Enjoyed.

The worst steak sandwich for $24. Steak was seasoned or marinated. I have never had steak like this in a sandwich. Tasted like steak was getting aged and they seasoned to cover it up? Disgusted and will never dine here ever again 🤢

Hands down best parmi I've ever had, and with the 10 dollar deal from Groupon it's a no brainer. Great deal, great parmi, much more than what you pay for and fantastic service

I liked the place when we walked in but the service was appalling!!! The food is average and it's ok for the price but the service horrible horrible disgusting!!! The girls at the counter were doing whatever they felt like. I wish i got her name! Had to wait for almost 30min for someone to take our order. We asked for someone to take our order and this girl said ok someone will be over 20min later still no one then I walked to the counter and she just ignored me and pretended she was so busy on the iPad and didn't see me. So I interrupted and she rudely responded yes take a seat someone will be there. 30min later I waved to another waitress she was blonde and she was nice came and helped us. I don't mind going back because I like the set up especially the playground area because it's suitable for little kids as most places is set up for big kids 10 up. So I would go back because of the playground but if I see these other 2 horrible waitress and they behave the same then I would write something to the manager. And have someone attend the guests at the entrance rather than the sign that says wait for someone and stand there for 20min and trying to look and wave down someone.

Had dinner here as part of a birthday celebration. A disappointing experience. Honestly thought i was going to be struck down with food poisoning after my meal. I has a simple Hawaiian parma. First it took them 2 takes to deliver my meal without the ham. Then the delivered parma was soggy and quite unsightly- we do eat with our eyes. The side salad was also tasteless and left much to be desired. The only saving grace was the cost of the beers!!

Great place to have lunch with great staff! Ordered a Parma which was pretty decent at $23 but chips and salad could've been a bit better as the chips were thinly cut and salad was a bit plain.<br/>Would highly recommend the calamari as they load the plate up completely. <br/>Given that it was busy because of Mother's Day the food came out pretty quickly so no complaints!

I suppose you can't expect much for a $9.90 Parma so don't expect too much.<br/><br/>Small size parma and a few beer battered chips and salad on the side - but it tasted ok i suppose.<br/><br/>The waiter looked bored and unwelcoming behind the bar so was disappointed with the service.  Also I wanted to pay by eftpos card but he said he had to charge me $10 instead of $9.90 as $10 was the minimum eftpos.  I had to laugh at this sloppy service and attitude.<br/><br/>Don't expect too much from this place.

A bloody pastie from a Caltex servo would have been an improvement over this nonsense. No pasties to be found in this shack. Yes it's a shack.

Had the calamari and the rump steak about a week ago the calamari was pretty crap and the what was suppose to be a 400g steak looked about 250-300 it was cooked to my liking but was nothing short of shit what can I say ? Lost a costumer or two with this outing

Average meals, went there for a birthday dinner, we brought 2 cakes one of which was ice cream cake, staff were asked to put in the freezer for when we were ready, didn't happen it was ruined!!<br/>Then staff bought out meals throwing then down on the tables, mind you it wasn't a busy nyt, one waitress in pictular threw my grandmothers meal infront of her which was completely unacceptable, then staff brought out a calamari, not knowing that it is a entree serve, I asked about the chips, they basically screamed at me telling me there is a main coming out and that wasn't my meal and snatched it away, how am I ment to know when they come out screaming calamari, not saying main or entree! Just don't bother very disappointing

$15.00 Business Lunch - amazing value. Usual Friday extended lunch enjoyed the salt and pepper calamari with a crisp glass of Sauv Blanc ................ all for $15.00 outstanding!

Great little venue $10 lunch meals in the Irish bar are one if the best value around a light lunch and a pot I had the burger and chip and without a word of a lie one of the best burgers I have ever had and we spent 6 weeks in the USA home of the burger the ones at highways blew us away beautiful beer batter fries washed down with a ice cold beer do yourself a favour

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I think we got served by the same waitress as the reviewer below. She wasn't rude to us, but was openly complaining about her job and was clearly in a bad mood. Didn't worry me too much, but is a little inappropriate.<br/><br/>That out of the way, we enjoyed our meal - cheesymite garlic bread, chicken ribs, Parma & beef burger. The chicken ribs were fantastic - we're keen to go back and order just four serves of them! <br/><br/>Service in general was pretty good considering how busy they were. I noticed a sign saying kids eat free on Friday & Saturday's, so that may be something people are interested in - or want to avoid.<br/><br/>We'll be going back for sure.

Rude Female Waiter. I can't complain about the food. It was ok and probably what I'd expect at a gaming venue. However we had a particularly annoying and rude staff member whose training and experience left a lot to be desire. The low level of training - I put that on the management and supervisors. She was left to run the bistro - bar, meals and table service on her own. Her experience with the menus and the order system was poor and we had ordered two main meals. East? Not for her. It took for ages. There's fish and chips on the menu in 3 different sections, 3 different prices and one comes with a free drink unknown to us and to her at the time. She had to call for assistance for each meal she entered as the staff member walked away and had to be recalled. The most important instruction was no tomato on one. <br/><br/>The meals were served by this same female. And guess what? With tomato on both. So I politely reminded her and asked her to remove it. She came back soon after minus the tomato and slammed the plate down on the table with out a word and stormed off. <br/><br/>Now that was the annoying thing. I sat and fumed. My friend was disgusted by the woman's behaviour and after 5 minutes and time to calm down, I sought out the manager - to alert him of the aggressive behaviour.<br/><br/>So the issues are New staff out of their depth.<br/>Poor training of new staff.<br/>Inadequate supervision of new staff.<br/>And hiring people with fiery tempers not suited to provide customer service.<br/><br/>Will i return? Maybe, but probably not.
