It's my first time at Butternut Cafe as it can be very hard to get a table.
I was walking passed today and noticed some empty tables, so I quickly made a detour and secured myself one. I noticed a lady taking an order at another table so I grabbed a menu and sat down. Water urns and glasses are on a ledge, so help yourself.
Placed my order of a vegan wrap and a large skinny flat white. The coffee came quickly and was lovely and hot and smooth and strong, perfect.
The Vegan Wrap was simply presented on a plate, but was just what I was after. Lovely fresh ingredients, nicely warmed with a crispy wrap.
I must admit, I'd always veered away from this Cafe but I was pleasantly surprised.
If you can nab a table, you won't be disappointed.
Sunday breakfast sitting outside with a lovely breeze. Lovely way to have breakfast. Today they were busy so a bit of a wait. The cappuccino was lovely creamy and frothy. Michael had the omelette which was light and fluffy he enjoyed very much. I had the breakfast bruschetta which was lovely the poached egg was perfect. Thanks guy for lovely breakfast.
This cafe was a regular of mine and changed hands about a year or so ago. I visited last weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find it was still delicious.
The menu is simple, but with lots of delicious, well priced things on offer. Service is fairly quick and they always seem consistently busy. I had eggs Benedict with a homemade hash brown which I thought was a nice touch. My only gripe was I would have liked more hollandaise sauce. My partner had scrambled eggs which were fluffy and the biggest serving of butter on the side I've ever seen.
A pleasant, relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Springwood.
Definitely the best place to go in Springwood for breakfast. Avo smash I'd delicious or build your on breaky plate. Nice juices and coffee. Good service. Sometimes hard to get a table at peak times
Wonderful service and the pie of the day (chicken and mushroom) was absolutely delicious!!! Only small so you need to be lucky to get a table during peak hours. Will definitely come back.
Great food! Really fresh - can take a while to serve but always worth the wait.
I love their chocolate milkshakes. Its really thick and frothy. I've also tried their BLT which is so fresh and delicious
Awesome fresh food and great atmosphere try the beetroot salad
Big breakfast 👏 and good strong coffee to boot!!! Good to see Springwood bringing some outstanding cafe game in such a small shop. don’t be fooled it packs a punch of flavour and fresh quality in each ingredient.
Yum ! My favourite cafe in springwood, just wish it was open longer hours !
Such good food and great service. Favourite place to stop off for breakfast when I’m in the area
Butternut cafe is wonderful. The staff were really friendly and efficient, and the chef really knows what they are doing. My Thai pumpkin soup was delicious and clearly made by an expert out of high-quality ingredients, and my husband's burger and hand-cut chips were just as good. Thank you for a great lunch!
Excellent sandwiches and fruit for catering. Sandwiches were very yummy and those who had gluten free sandwiches were very happy as well. Super easy to deal with and great price. Highly recommend for catering!
Butternut is a very popular little cafe and it can be hard to get a table at peak times. The food is delicious and drinks are great. They make their own spices for chai and also chocolate for the hot chocolate drinks. My favourite is the home made raspberry and pear cake. Hot dishes are also standout. Staff are pleasant and the place has a busy delightful atmosphere.
The cafe to go to in Springwood and there are plenty to choose from. Great food and menu including drink options. Great, friendly staff everytime. We also buy our coffee beans from here.
