Wish I had found this place at the beginning of my trip sadly just popped in before heading to the airport. Still some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and the bloody marry was 10/10.
Stopped for a drink and quick bite. The Bartender and the other staff was amazing. Nice and friendly and very helpful. Riho the bartender made us splendid cocktails. Food was absolutely awesome as well. If you are in st kilda this place is a must visit.
staff is very attentive.
the food and drinks are on point.
2 for 1 margaritas YEW!
My new favorite local.
Fabulous food Great veggo selections Half price margaritas on Monday's and a young friendly wait staff Great place for casual dinning
Yum, yum, totally yum! Super friendly and efficient team. Food served super fast. Stuffed Jalapeños the highlight and great ambiance.

Mexican food elevated to a gourmet high
Fabulous Margherita and cocktails. Great staff who were friendly ,informative and attentive. Will be back soon!!!
Never had a bad meal here! Been 5-6 times. Service is always top notch and ultra friendly and accommodating!
Great food and great service... served by Hannah who was very welcoming and knew the menu.. thanks to her.. she made it a great night :)
Es un lindo lugar, me sorprendió mucho el sabor de la comida.... todo estaba espectacular y delicioso!!! Las personas del lugar amables y el ambiente muy tranquilo para un almuerzo en familia. Gracias chicos!!
It's a nice place, I was very surprised by the taste of the food ... everything was spectacular and delicious !!! The people of the place were friendly and the atmosphere very quiet for a family lunch. Thanks guys!!
Great food, great staff and Esmeraldo upstairs is the best!!!!
Sesnsational selecrion of Mexican food, especially for vegetarian options. Great flavours and range of spiced foods, highly recommending for a casual lunch with friends or family
Pork belly was to die for! Can never go wrong with this gorgeous Mexican restaurant! Best in melbourne
Yum yum & yum.
Great food service and atmosphere. Top spot for dinner with friends.
Awesome place and great service l go all the time my favorite Mexican place in melbs
The most delicious Mexican food at a really fun and funky restaurant. The staff are fun and engaging and more than happy to offer up suggestions from the menu. We went for a family dinner, and enjoyed a large array of dishes.
The food arrived promptly, and everything was fresh and full of flavour. The corn chips were crunchy abd the salsa was zingy and punchy. Quesadilles, tacos and burritos were delightful, with tender pulled beef and chicken, loads of cheese, guac and sour cream. The star was definitely the crispy pork belly. Melt in the mouth pork with perfect salty crackling made for an incredibly enjoyable dish.
The vibe is bustling and energetic, and a great wine and cocktail list helps to get the party started. In the sunny suburb of St Kilda, Radio Mexico is a fab venue for simple Mexican flavours, great drinks and a cool atmosphere. We will be back when they are able to re open for dining in.
We went here during the weird Covid times, so I’m sure it’s usually a LOT busier than we saw. However, we still had to make a booking.
There are plenty of vegetarian options and our choices were the following:
*tofu taco
*mushroom taco
*cactus quesadilla
*bbq corn
*rojo chilaquiles
*caramel pecan tart
*house lemonade
The service was on point! And the food came out quicker than we could eat! The only tiny negative was that I ordered a mocktail (preggo!) and got the cocktail. Lucky, I could taste the alcohol in the first sip and didn’t drink anymore! However, the bartender did knock a few bucks off the bill 😊
Would HIGHLY recommend and will definitely go back!!
Love this restaurant, staff are always so attentive and helpful get the pork belly!!!!! Absolutely mouth watering
fav tacos in melbourne. baja, prawn, pork belly tacos are winners. topped with a glass of the spiced tomato juice (think amazing virgin bloody mary)
3.5/5 - Great atmosphere and the foods taste amazing, loved the guac and chips. However like all other bars around the area, the serving sizes are quite delicate. The cocktail selection was good, and there are interesting ones to try (e.g. the chili margarita and the popcorn margarita). Overall satisfying, just wish the meals are bigger!
Loved the margaritas, prawn tacos and service!
Almost felt like I was in Mexico...
but it was raining and I was in St Kilda...
Quite a busy eatery, with friendly and attentive service.
*Pescado de la Casa – firm grilled rockling, the pickled cabbage gave each bite an edge. Very tasty.
*Sopa de Tortilla – great flavours with tomato and chicken broth, with the tortilla giving a bit of texture. Little on the salty side though.
*Michelada – give your beer a twist, it’s a little like a bloody mary.
The BEST mexican food I’ve ever had!
FOOD: I got the Scallop taco and I may not be a mexican food connoisseur, I definitely am a scallop one and this scallop was cooked to absolute perfection! I was feeling peckish and I wasn’t starving so I thought that I wanted to give their food a little test because I’ve seen nothing but raves on their food and I definitely can see where they’re coming from! The scallops were cooked beautifully and the PORK CRACKLING omigosh was so flavourful and crispy which went amazingly with the soft scallops and the pickled cabbage went great with the habanero cream and it was ACTUALLY SPICY!!!
SERVICE: Friendly and lovely service!
Radio Mexico is definitely a place that lives up to their great reviews and judging by their 1000+ reviews, it’s safe to say my mexican cravings were in good place!
Walking in, the lights were dimmed and atmosphere was lovely yet cosy. We were fortunate enough to be seated in a secluded corner facing the street and were able to enjoy the cool night air.
We started off our meal with some delicious drinks: their homemade lemonade and Bloody Mary (just a tad salty but definitely packed a kick). For entree, we ordered Sopa de Tortilla (a chilli and chicken based broth with crispy tortilla bits), guacamole and pickled vegetables. Guac is a mexican staple and the pickled vegetables were a lovely accompaniment for the rest of our meal. We would definitely recommend you try them. The soup however was a tad too heavy on the salt and didn’t meet our expectations.
That night we had a craving for tacos so naturally we had to try as many as we could. We ordered the bbq pork, rockling, prawns and scallops. The rockling was soft and flavourful, the scallops were perfectly cooked -sweet with a beautifully caramelised crust and bbq pork tacos are always a winner. The unexpected hero was the prawn taco. The prawns were sweet and succulent with a hint of smokiness. Overall the tacos were nice, a few stand outs but nothing mind blowing.
For dessert we opted for the chocolate mousse -a dark chocolate lover’s dream! The mouse was smooth and rich with just the right amount of bitterness to offset the subtle sweetness. On top was a layer of grapefruit jelly, which provided a tartness we didn’t realise the dish needed. It was the perfect way to end our meal.
We can’t say whether or not the food is authentic but we can definitely guarantee a good eat!
Overall: 3.5 (4 if not for everything being a tad too salty for our tastes)

I love Radio Mexico, I’ve been there twice and firmly believe it is the best Mexican food in Melbourne. When I was in the US I was fortunate to eat good Mexican food and it made me sad that this is not available in Melbourne. I always get the baja and frijoles tacos - they are so good! The Tortilla chips with salsa are also amazing.
The service staff are a bit chatty for my liking, but the other patrons seemed to enjoy it. It’s squishy like many other places, but the food makes it worth it.
Went out of a weekday and the place is packed and buzzing. Loved the Fish Tacos:) The pork tacos could be slightly better but overall a fun experience. Great friendly staff.
Radio Mexico was Mexican GOODNESS!!
Tacos, enchillas and more. What can you say?!
Absolutely loved this place and would recommend to anyone in the St.Kilda to try this restaurant out! 😍😍
Situated right by the beach, Radio Mexico is a great place to hit up for dinner after a day in the sun. In saying that, the changing weather at Melbourne didn’t stop us from satisfying our taco cravings.
Great fresh delicious Mexican food! Nice atmosphere although it is really loud hard to talk to people here. Prices are good. Our waiter was great. All food was really freshly prepared and made - good vegetarian choices.
Radio Mexico is an absolute gem down in St Kilda. Fabulous service, great relaxed setting, amazing margaritas and delicious food!!! I will be back to try the tacos!
I liked the decor and also enjoyed the food, I had the chilaquiles verde, it tasted almost just like the ones I had in Mexico. I tried the papas y chorizo quesadilla, I didn’t like this, but my husband did. The cheese was not Mexican and the chorizo didn’t taste like chorizo, it tasted like regular sausage. The Carne asada tacos are very good. My husband had the pork belly snd mushroom tacos they were very good. The desserts were not Mexican but I was so full we didn’t order it, when we come back, I want to try the elotes. We went on a Saturday around 2ish and the service was good, highly recommend!
Really enjoyed our time here at Radio Mexico, the Nachos were a good start to enable for what’s to come, followed by some nice tacos where the fish taco is definitely recommended, the jalapeño poppers which were spicy but awesome, pork ribs which hit the spot and Pollo Verde which went down well, great experience with nice decor around!
Nice little terrace and great staff, with attention to detail (for food intolerances, in this case). Very good margaritas, in a very generous size (larger than usual, I found). The spicy nachos and the prawn tacos were incredible - would definitely come back for more, should I live here!
Good tacos with lots of flavours, great cocktails and a very nice outdoor area. Portions are a bit s’more and a bit pricey to be honest, but the scallop tacos is amazing.
Buzzy. Tasty food comes tapas style.Great margaritas! Friendly, well paced service in a great atmosphere. We arrived at 6.15 and had no trouble getting a table although there was a line by the time we left.
Service was really friendly here. Corn chips and dips were lovely, although the tacos we had were a bit average. What made this a 4.0 though was the pork dish, which was amazing and worth returning for for that alone.
Been here several times now & the food is consistently good. There’s an excellent array of menu choices & extensive drinks list. It’s usually crowded & can therefore get a bit humid in the summer but it’s not unbearable. The staff are
helpful & friendly.
Try to book in early to avoid waiting for a table.
I’d say it’s over priced for the small portions but maybe that’s just relative to the area & location. When you can rely on consistently tasty food it’s worth the cost, I say.
Visited at a friend's recommendation and wasnt disappointed. A very fancy and cozy restaurant with a highly energetic and welcoming staff. The food was fancy too and tasted good. I felt it was a bit overpriced for the portions. The stuffed jalapeno was the best thing I tasted that night. The place is perfect for snacking but wouldn't recommend it for dinners mostly because of the portions unless you are fine with spending more. The quality of the food was commendable and it seemed freshly prepared too. All in all a thumbs up.
Good Mexican food, nice atmosphere and great service. A bit pricey but a nice place for special occasions. I recommend the Carna Asada Taco (hangar steak)
Best tacos in Melbourne in my opinion. Nice quirky little spot, staff friendly also. The pork belly as a main is great. Always come back here
Best Mexican in Melbourne. Love the food, the tequila and sangrita along with a really good Tommy’s margarita. Great space always a good time.
Food here is perfect! Even the dessert is amazing. Very pretty and nice staff.
I ordered the slow cooked beef, pork belly tacos, and pork ribs. Every dish is delicious. Definitely will come back for more food.
Such a fun and buzzing place with great food and drinks! The tacos and the margarita were the best. Will definitely be back. Make sure you turn up early!
J's score 4.0 stars (because of quality of food). J caught up with a couple of her friends here for a girls day out. Interior was nice & it had a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were a bit too "cool", so service was "lukewarm". Totopos were great - corn chips nice & thick. Frijoles & Calabaza tacos were the standouts. Margaritas were good too. A nice lunch had by all apparently...
Great margaritas and drinks. Nachos and ceviche were the highlight food wise. Fish (Baja) taco was average, lamb taco better. Good enchiladas and salad.
Service was mostly good, but they seem to underestimate customers hunger - we ordered a smaller meal than we originally intended at the waiters suggestion and ended up feeling pretty hungry!
Popped in for dinner on a rainy Melbourne Tuesday night. A group of six of us were seated on a central table, warm and cosy in front of an open fire, and began with a round of beers. On that note, service was attentive and couldn't really be faulted all night. The menu takes a little time to adjust to; not for the reason that it's dotted with Spanish terms, but rather the order of offerings and the direction that it goes in; for example in the Platos Grandes section reading the pork, chicken, beef, chicken dishes (in that order), we were wondering what was inspiring the order. Favourites were the Rockling Ceviche and Pork Belly Al Pastor (great crackling). Could have been more seafood on the menu. Overall, 4/5; and, yes I'll be back.

I’m actually surprised cause I thought that radio Mexico was more like a bar but the food was so good !! I tried carne , pork belly and barbacoa tacos. All of them full of flavour and perfectly cooked.
Customer service also very good , friendly and kind .
I’ll be back for sure.
I was a little nervous booking a table in a Mexican I had never been to but this was such a fun evening!
The service was great, the staff were extremely helpful with the menu and making recommendations. We had dome tacos each and some dishes to share including the shredded chicken and the pumpkin nachos...delicious!
The cocktails went down a treat, I had a Mojito and the Summer Gin Fizz (I think that's the name)
Loved the decor and the atmosphere, we could have sat there all night.
Thanks for a great night!
We came here about 6 months ago when it was summer. Loved the deco, house made lemon lime bitter. Food was great, Taco and other shared plates. A great place would love to come back again!
Super tasty Tacos and scrumptious Nachos. It’s a small setup with seriously good food. What stood out for me was the creativity in the menu. Will be back for sure to try the other dishes
I've been wanting to try Radio Mexico for ages but was put off by the long waiting times. We went for an early dinner and only had to wait 15 mins for a table. The food was really good. The corn and entree mini pork tacos were to die for. The chicken tacos and lamb tacos were very good although could have done with a touch more flavour. Service was excellent and prices reasonable for the quality.
Radio Mexico has been on our list for a long time but when Timinmelbourne and his partner suggested us to visit this restaurant, we knew we had to visit time one ASAP. Glad we did.
Cute little space with very vibrant decor is quite nice to admire. What makes Radio Mexico totally different from other usual Mexican restaurants is the choice of most unusual food, and close-to-authentic style of preparing them.
We ordered a Jamaican Iced Hibiscus Tea (which Kunnu Loves to sip on..ever since he had it for the first time in Mumbai / Bombay), Ceviche (which was served with blue corn tortilla), Enchiladas and Cactus stuffed Quesadillas. Our two favorites were the Quesadillas and Enchilada. OMG, they were so good. We definitely loved the Ceviche and Hibiscus tea as well.
Attendants are knowledgeable and friendly. The experience was worth the money spent. Portions are decently sized.
went here to have a late lunch. ordered the taco’s and customized the quessadillas. the homemade lemonade is great. quick and nice service. delicious foods!
The food here is fantastic. Particularly tasty tacos and cold beer made for a very enjoyable meal. The quesadillas did not disappoint either!
The ambiance was too loud for me, but the place is absolutely abuzz and a lot of people would like that.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
All in all, very solid!
Radio Mexico was fantastic! We ordered the picoso, jalapeños rellenos, hongos taco & escabeche. The picoso nachos was really spicy, let me warn you. We thought we could handle spicy but it was so spicy we couldn’t finish it. The jalapeño tasted mild in comparison to the nachos. The escabeche was great but a bit too tangy for me. The home made lemonade was perfect for the spicy and tangy food. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse tart. It was good but the serving could have been larger. Service was friendly.
The vegetarian nachos were amazing! A dollop of goats curd on top! Tacos came out nice and quick; tortillas tasted very fresh, fillings were nice.
Oh hello yummy food and almost felt the vibes of Mi Casa Su Casa. Variety in menu and suitable for vegetarians. The ambience and the service added to the delightfulness of the food.
Felt like I am in a mexican bar. My favourites were the Jalapeno Poppers and the Bloody Maria.
Definitely would love to go back !!! Thumbs up !!!
This place is unbeatable! Sat at a table of 4 and shared multiple dishes. We had the costillas which were slow cooked pork ribs which just fell of the bone. So delicious possibly the best ribs I’ve ever had. We had the tostaditos de jaiba which was crab, corn and avo on a small tortilla. The dish comes with 3 but the staff adjusted so that we had 4. Super tasty. We had the spicy beef nachos (Barbacoa de res) which had a really great amount of spice, I could have easily eaten the whole serve myself. We also shared the PORK BELLY AL PASTOR which was so perfectly rendered and just melted away in the mouth. The final savoury dish we had was the enchiladas. Great flavour, a bit hard to share but we made do. The corn flavour in the enchilada was fantastic. We also had three of the desserts. The pecan pie was highly rated and the mezcal mousse was so light also the base was a bit thick. The Fresas were also a highlight, the strawberries had such intense flavour. The service here is absolutely impeccable, our table water was changed at least 7 times and we were checked on multiple times to see how we were going. I would tell anyone going to melbourne to try this place. Just perfect. (Also the margaritas are super strong and super delish)
Being Mexican, I am very hesitant to try any Mexican restaurant. Most menus I see for Mexican restaurants have burritos, burrito bowls and nachos as their mains. To me that's not Mexican food. This place was recommended us and although hesitant at first, once I looked at the menu I agreed to give it a try. I love that they use authentic Mexican ingredients and flavours. We sampled quite a few different food items and drinks and they did not disappoint. The sopa de tortilla was excellent. I don't even think my mom could fault it. Another highlight were the barbacoa and cochinita pibil tacos. As for drinks, I love that I was able to get a michelada. Wish every bar I went to served it. And if you're up for something different, try the popcorn and jalapeño margarita. It is delicious and the best margarita I've ever had.
another one recommended by a mexican friend and again not disappointed. Must try the tortilla soup here. It was amazing - nice balance of spice, tanginess from the sour cream, chicken, nice bits of tortilla strips in the soup. Amazing. The baja fish taco and the pork belly was probably the highlights for us, while the smoked fish taco was also nice. Was a little disappointed that the hanger steak tacos did not pack as much flavour as i thought as the hanger is one of my favourite steak cuts.

Great service too :) really lovely staff!

Ambience: it was loud which was expected
Food: we ordered so much food I forgot to take a photo of it all. We had the lamb cutlets, fish, pork and beef nachos Nachos to share - BARBACOA DE RES Slow Cooked Ancho Chili Beef With Iceberg, Avocado, Pico de Gallo and Crema (must try) and their social pork belly dish called pork belly pastor (see photo) it’s super delish.
My first time at Radio Mexico did not disappoint, so we came here a second time for a friends birthday celebration- as predicted, it was amazing the second time round as well.
With no bookings, we were asked to wait for 10 minutes, which was not too bad considering it was a Saterday night.
To share, we ordered the Verde which were basically Nachos with green tomatillo salsa and shredded chicken. Nothing like I’ve ever tasted before, and was just divine! The nachos are an explosion of flavour and melts in your mouth. Albeit, they are a tad spicy.
For myself, I ordered 3 soft tacos. Although I was impressed with all of them, the Baja taco was probably my favourite. The beer battered fish was a decent size, fresh and crunchy! The Camaron taco came a close second. I don’t usually see prawn in tacos, so I couldn’t miss this opportunity when I saw these on the menu. There were grilled Australian prawns with chipotle, tomatillo and slaw on a blue corn tortilla. Juicy and thoroughly enjoyable!
Despite it being a packed restaurant, I found the service to be quick and friendly. Had a lovely evening here and I’ll definitely be back for more.
Ohhhh first time visiting here
Atually margarita was the best so far what I have tried in Melbourne Mexican place
And corn was really tasty
We had 4 glass of normal margarita haha and another with popcorn
Well ..... for popcorn it’s 5out of5!!!!
Pork belly is cooked really well decent portion size and very reasonable price with it
Delicious Mexican food and great little restaurant. Quite busy on the weekends as the space is quite small but the outdoor area is great on a sunny day
One of my favorite Mexicans in melbourne... place buzzes, it's casual, the food is great, the service is great... Try the fish taco and a margarita!
Good food! Great service. Had some tacos, corn on cob, frijoles and corn chips with the four dips. The drink options are good and cocktails were really good!
Place is pretty straight up with their Mexican but they are pricey. A bit too pricey. They pump out food and it was all tasty. Good if you want to impress a bird but wouldn't be my local for south American they've priced that option out.
Do go check it out though, they're doing it right.
My favourite Mexican food in Melbourne so far! I stayed in a hotel across the road from here for a weekend and had lunch here two days in a row because I liked it so much!
The corn chips with guacamole and the different types of spicy homemade salsa were delicious. Also tried the corn, which I am drooling over, just thinking about it! Frijoles also amazing.
After sharing this I also had two tacos from the taqueria - fresh ingredients, cooked on the spot, corn tacos - very happy!
All washed down with a couple of drinks for a decent price! I can’t complaint, I loved everything about this place.
When we arrived on a weekend evening, it was packed and somewhat chaotic. We didn't end up ordering a lot, but the tacos were nice. I had only recently come back from North America where I had some amazing Mexican food so I feel my opinion of the food here may be unfairly biased towards the former. Will be keen to come back to try more dishes.
Went on a Friday night, it was busy but got a table straight away, friendly staff. Best nachos in Melbourne, margaritas were amazing. Loves the tacos we’ll be back!
🔥 tacos and delicious drinks however they don’t have a regular paloma.... would recommend the nachos and tacos. TOP Mexican joint in Melbs right now
Had the pumpkin and feta taco here which was really nice and had a good amount of feta on it! Awesome to see so many vegetarian tacos, there’s normally only one. Everyone I was with really enjoyed their meals too, would come back for sure!
Favourite Melbourne restaurant for casual food. Always tasty, prices are good, great for a large group and sharing plates. Really yummy, have been 5 or 6 times mow and is consistently good.
I can definitely say this restaurant is my favourite restaurant in Melbourne!!! I have been in Melbourne just one year but I have been going to Radio Mexico three times!!! Every time I went there, the food was always super tasty!!! I had a lot of memories with it. I will definitely come there again and again!!!
We were in the area and just wanted a light meal before heading home so I didnt really have very high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised.
The nachos was definitely the best nachos I've ever had, just thinking about them now makes me crave more. It was just cheesy perfection!
We also got a ceviche, which was a tad too acidic and 2 tacos, my boyfriend quite enjoyed them, especially the calamari one, but I thought they were jst ok. I'm yet to be blown away by a taco in Australia though, just not a fan of the tortillas most restaurants use. Oh, nearly forgot the jalapenos poppers...do not order. They were terrible. The batter was too thick and the filling was too bland, no spice or flavor to speak of.
...NACHOS to the rescue!!! Lol

Best mexican restaurant i have been too in meblourne!
We had nachos, battered fish taco, pork belly taco and potatoes with mayo and sesame seed. So so good. Misis had a few margaritas which were brilliant. Staff were friendly. Definately will be back ans will recommend to all our friends.
I will be back as so much more to try on that menu.
SO GOOD.
I don’t think I’ve tasted better Mexican in Melbourne so far. Food is fresh, tasty and made with love (+ quality ingredients - you can tell!). From the totwopos + guac/salsas (all tasty! My favourite being their dark salsa which has a bit of heat to it) to their tacos (pork belly...
Yum food but small portions
Expensive food but good variety
Cool feel, loved the share table
Busy for a Monday night - two for one drinks.
Will return
This place has been on my list for ages and on Saturday last week I finally had a go. Service was basic but food was amazing. The girl that served us was nice and did what she had to do but I wouldn't say it was overly enthusiastic (maybe she was hungover), dude that greeted us wasn't interested in life either, moving on
Ordered lamb shoulder, pork belly and scallop tacos, very nice indeed. Table ordered nachos, guacamole and ceviche. The ceviche was really nice and the corn chips with it was cool, other dishes were just as good.
Drinks menu was good enough and what you would expect. Decoy was so rad, I think it actually made the experience for me to be honest, the warn blue chairs and food truck looking pass/bar was dope.
I will be back 100%, thanks.
Margaritas fly from the bar TWO at a time on Monday's.... It kills me... They are AMAZING. Tacos are sweet as, and the ribs are tamarind and slow cooked to perfection.
The blonde in charge is nice AF every time.
The vibe is always buzzing. I don't think I've seen many other places consistently vibing all through winter. Keep up the good work Radio. See you Monday.
Love the food and the ambience here. In a great spot in st kilda and perfect for a dinner with a few friends. You often have to wait for a table but it's worth it, all the food is fantastic. Crab tostaditas are the best thing on the menu we had about 6 served between us. They could do with a bigger margarita menu with some sweeter options but always a fantastic night out.
Love, love, love this place! Every time we have tracked over the other side of town to dine here we are left stuffed and utterly content. Unfortunately its sister in Northcote (my side of town) just didn't deliver the same experience - food or service wise.
Excellent food here. In fact every thing we had here was delicious, including the beer & wine. Tacos were to die for. We had crabs, scallops, lamb and grilled fish. Very tasty & rich in flavour. I also tried the coconut ice cream with goats milk caramel sauce & toasted peanuts, it was beautiful! A very outstanding Saturday night dinner indeed!
Love it! We had a great evening drinking cocktails and eating nachos. The cocktails and pumpkin nachos are delicious. Staff are very accommodating too. Will be back.
Great space. Great service. Great food. The pork belly was a standout. The lamb cutlets were good but just that bit too chewy. Sharing plates too. But no split bills ! Change with the times on that and you score a 5 !
Incredible food. We had the chilli beef nachos, pork belly tacos, corn on the cob and pecan tart for dessert. The corn on the cob was a highlight, amazing flavour. We didn't have a bad dish!
My friend and I came here last night and what as treat it was. This place doesn't take bookings and we were lucky enough to get the last inside table thankfully as it was cold outside. And there is an outdoor area.
For dinner we had lots of food again. This is a tapas style restaurant so we ordered a range of dishes such as Jalapeno pickles, Totopos (chips and salsa) and soft tortillas.
But the most memorable dish for me was the pork belly!! OMGosh haha this was incredible. Pork belly that just fell apart w the most amazing crackling. Mmnn yessss haha
We had a margarita each which was a perfect start to dinner and some homemade lemonade.
Everything was great but dinner cost $170 which wasn't cheap but it was sooo worth it lol
We found this gem on a Tuesday evening and sat outside in a decked area close to a nice open fire. Due to the dimmed light, I didn't take any pictures of the food.
I'm not a Mexican food connoisseur, therefore cannot comment if it's real authentic food or not but I do have a strong feeling that it would be. We had Tostaditas de Jaiba (tortillas with sappner crab) to start off. The crab meat was very fresh making the bite-sized tortillas a perfect entree. We then had the enchillada de Res, slow-cooked beef wrapped in tortillas and baked in the oven. What a delicious dish, great flavours and the meat just fell apart, literally melting in my mouth. Loved it. I also tried the Pork Belly Al Pastor, which my friend ordered. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, again amazing flavours. Sorry, after all this food, I couldn't go for desserts.
The interior of the restaurant was clean, tasteful and warm. We sat outside in the covered area, which was lovely and with the fire going, quite romantic. Bathroom was also clean. They have a gorgeous and very special function room, check out the website. I'd be interested to go back and hire that function room.
All in all it was a superb experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us some great advise. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Update: just went back again, 4 months later. This time I took some photos. I'm giving the same rating/review. Amazing food and great service. Tried completely different dishes then last time: Pulled pork tacos, lamb cutlets, the special seafood tacos and corn on the can.
