Lucky enough to be invited here for a bloggers group event where our meals were comped. Still deserves an honest review though, food was great! I was actually really happy with how well it tasted, the wood fired tandoori pizza was definitely a winner for me, they nailed the flavours perfectly and it was the stand out dish. The salami pizza was also awesome, I'd gladly order one of those to myself! Was able to try a slice of the garlic pizza which was about what I expected it to be. The entrée of meatballs were good and juicy with enough sauce. The bread sticks were pretty hard and sub par. But I'm not there for that, I'm there for the awesome pizza! I'd recommend it as the prices are actually very good for a woodfired place and the pizzas are definitely quality too.
Melbourne Explorer and our fellow foodies were invited by the team at Olive Garden in St Kilda to taste some of their most famous dishes, including their pizzas.
We started with an antipasto platter and garlic bread, followed by a selection of their most popular wood fired pizzas. My favourites were the hawaiian and the salami, with peppers, olives, oregano, buffalo mozzarella & evoo.
This was followed up with the dessert pizza, loaded with seasonal fruits and icecream.
These guys claim to have the best pizzas in St KIlda, and I don't think they are wrong.
pizza here are amazing !! totally enjoyable - perfect base and generous topping, matched by a good wine list. the service also complement the food.
my partner and i received a attentive service with warm welcome. A must try Italian restaurant in St. Kilda 👌
Beautiful food and service. Stand out dishes - Rib Eye steak, seafood Linguine, lamb Pizza & Chocolate fondant. Modern and clean decor. Dined here last week with a group of four family members and cant spot a single thing wrong about this place. The presentation of food was outstanding and service was attentive with smile. Sorry to mention voucher cheapo not happy ( voucher bogus land).
Will be back . Definitely recommended.
I just had a delicious pizza delivered to my door within 20/25mins of ordering. Very efficient service and great food. And it's always a bonus when you don't even have to leave your home on these cold winter evenings for a good feed. Thank you Olive Garden! I'll most definitely be using you again.
Pizzas from here are very nice, good value.good serving sizes and gourmet. Friendly service with smile. location is very good, sitting outside and watching live Footy on Friday. Wine list is small but nice selection. Great place to fulfill your pizza cravings.
What a great find, what a great flavor, what a service. Its a small, friendly and cozy restaurant on Inkerman street. You cannot avoid their signature dish the pork hock with melon, fennel salad and caramel sauce, its just divine. The owner himself is a chef and knows his trade well. I was bit confused reading some of the reviews about this place, how come some people are so fussy and don't even know the definition of good food and service. The waitress who serve us was very friendly and was smiling whole of the time serving us. We are looking forward to our next visit. Go Banana Guys !!!
Bought a Groupon voucher for $49. The service was very good.
The food itself was very good too. I had the pork hock which was extremely succulent, and the caramel sauce was to die for. The chocolate cake for dessert was also very delicious. The food were at fairly large portions and very nicely decorated.
My friend had the schnitzel, which was very well seasoned and a large portion too.
Overall was a really great meal.
Would definitely go there again.
When a friend suggested that we try the Olive Garden Cafe Bar and Grill on Inkerman Street in St Kilda for dinner, I thought she was slightly mad. No, it's not related to the famous American chain, and yes, it's the tacky looking one at the bottom the apartment building that is always empty. But to my surprise, at the end of my dining experience, it was no longer tacky - it was funky, it was no longer cheap - it was good value and it was no longer empty - it was intimate.
We got a deal on living social for a 3 course meal, with a glass of wine and we definitely were not dissapointed! Starter was shared Rosemary bread, which was delicious and the size of a large pizza. We then had the steak. The fillet steak was beautiful and tender, and the sauce was gorgeous. Desert was then a chocolate fondant and rhubarb crumble. The crumble I don't think contained enough of the crumble element. Nevertheless the meal was delicious, and portion sizes were large! I highly recommend this restaurant, and the great value deal!
