Got the ginger chicken and it was amazing! Taste is clean to the pallet and it makes you keep on eating it. Love that you can feel the ingredients are fresh so it give a hearty meal vibe.

I've been here a couple times. The interior is interesting with white painted wooden tables, lots of greenery and a marble bar. The staff are also very friendly. The food had been always good and feels authentic.

This place was recommended to me through my work manager and he has informed me it’s his favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the area and that they’ve recently (ish) renovated.
The interior of the restaurant was simple, creative, vibrant and artistic and the seating area was somewhat spacious, clean and had a lot of natural lighting.
As it was my first time here, I think it’s clear that I should order the classic special “Pho” to test the waters of this place.
The broth tasted clean, it wasn’t too salty (or full of msg), but the depth of flavour wasn’t strong enough to my liking. I tend to lean towards more herbal flavoured pho (where I can taste the star anise, cinnamon etc). They also forgot to add in beef balls, which I just realised now lol! It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing, however, if you prefer a more lighter and cleaner broth, this place won’t disappoint. Standard pricing for the area at $16 a bowl.
I also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee - it was alright. I couldn’t taste enough condensed milk and the balance of sweetness and bitterness was a bit off for me. Wasn’t really worth the $6-$7 for a narrow tall glass of it.
Would definitely come back to try something else in the near future :-)
They reopened around 3 months ago and we cannot wait to visit this place again! We ordered 2 special combination (for 2) rolls, grilled pork chop and rice, rare beef noodle soup, and lemongrass chicken vermecelli salad between 7 people.
The special combination rolls were like DIY rolls, the portion was generous and small rice paper also meant we could make small portions of different varieties. I really enjoyed this dish and it was a fun experience.
The grilled pork chop however was quite oily and salty and the lemongrass chicken salad was a bit too moist for my liking.
Will stick to the DIY rolls and beef noodle soup in my next visit.
I am a Vietnamese and I love the Hue style beef noodle at Song Nhi. All other dishes are also tasty and good value. The food is authentic enough to bring up "home" flavour but I noticed they also twist a little bit in a clever way to suit international taste. Highly recommended.
Arguably the best Vietnamese on the north shore. I've come here multiple times and the food is always consistently good. The service is efficient and friendly. It's a simple place to go for a casual meal. Week days are packed with workers but the weekends are a good time to go
Ordered: Prawns & pork crispy crepe, Special hot & spicy fried rice, Rare beef pho ($40 for two). We are now somewhat regulars here at Song Nhi Vietnamese, and there’re good reasons for that. The cosy and bright little restaurant offer home-cooked style Vietnamese food that’s packed with fresh ingredients and bucketload of flavour. Tonight, we swung by right before closing time and the restaurant was still bustling with families and couples tucking away their dinner.
My absolute favourite Vietnamese place in Sydney. Hands down. I live in the lower North Shore which means it is closer for me than Cabramatta, however I really do believe this restaurant is better! The rare beef pho is beautifully flavoured, a generous serving and my go-to. I also LOVE the pork and shrimp crispy pancake, so fresh, crispy and delicious - a must try! Another favourite is the rice paper rolls DIY dish. A huge variety of fillings and all extremely scrumptious. This restaurant is amazing and my 2-5 visits a week reflect on that!
Great Pho and Mong - a local favourite. BYO and a great local to go if you don't want to cook at home. Reasonably priced -- do get an extra serving of crispy chicken, you won't regret it! Pho has great broth, well done rice noodles and plenty of extras. Casual decor and good service.
My go to place for lunch when I feel like something satisfying.
The raw beef pho is very tasty, perfect during cold weather, the combination vermicelli is a myriad of all deliciousness (and healthy).
The combination pork chop rice came in a generous serving !
Staff were fantastic and accomodating, giving us cheaper and easier options and asking if what sort of options they could make for our meals to be veganised. Food was incredible and very reasonably priced. Not a tonne of options on the menu for vegans but many things can be moved around thanks to the lovely staff. Would highly recommend, will definitely be coming back here!
I Really like the food here. classic Vietnamese dishes, salads are my default goto food. Nice place to catchup with friends and colleagues.
The best pho!!! The special beef was delicious, the tripe was tender and fresh, the sausages and rare beef was just wonderful. Perfect broth.

Great Vietnamese food, probably one of my favourites in Sydney. Everything is so fresh, packed with flavour and comes in generous portions. The chicken in the chicken pho was amazing and soft, perfectly cooked. The vermicelli noodle salad with sugarcane prawn is also amazing!
Highly recommended. Great service and the staff are very conscious of food allergies if you tell them. They were able to make vegan options for you without fuss. Also the food is rather tasty too and have been back already. Keep up the good work team!
It’s the best Vietnamese place in the Crows Nest/ St Leonards area, and I have tried out almost every single one in the area. Probably also one of the oldest and their food quality has definitely improved over time. I didn’t like it that much before, but in recent times it’s the only place I love going to. So this review score doesn’t do them justice in comparison with some of the newer restaurants.
I can’t rave about this restaurant enough! The people are so lovely and the food is truly amazing! Do yourself a favour and get down to Song Nhi in St Leonard’s for the BEST Vietnamese food ever! Also get yourself a lemon, lime and bitters from Tiffany - it is so refreshing. And service by Cynthia and the other wonderful waitstaff is hard to beat.

Reasonably convenient location on the northside. Prawn rice paper roll, grilled meat vermicelli, rare beef noodle soup and vietnamese pancake are all very nice. Alternatively you can order a combo platter to make your own rice paper roll. Or a slightly more common combination fried noodles is done well too. Personal preference is soft egg noodle. Fried spring rolls are very good
