Good, cheap, and huge portions! Very rarely do I ever think, wow this don could use more rice, but they certainly give you more of the good stuff in exchange. The restaurant is small and a tad squashed, but the turnover rate of customers is quite high so you’ll be able to find a seat. There’s also self serve miso soup which is a nice touch.

We ordered a Katsu Curry and a Karaage Chicken don, and both portions were much bigger than we had expected. The Curry was very thick and filling, and the Karaage had great flavour. Like I said, could’ve used more of a balance between rice and chicken/sides, I found that I actually wanted more rice which is pretty rare. $12 for the dishes meant a fairly cheap and very filling meal.

I have heard that their sushi is significantly worse than their main dishes, so perhaps avoid those when coming here. As it is, I definitely will be back in the future for more dons!
