Excellent food for cheap, friendly service, nice setting with a local community vibe going on.
Unusually for a little Asian shop it has a serviceable wine list.
Only complaint, it's too far from my home for me to become a regular.
But if you're in the area don't hesitate. Recommended.
food: bom bo hue is super good - better than most places even compared to those in the western suburbs. Packs a flavour punch. everything else is fresh and absolutely meets expectations.
staff: super friendly and were really understanding and helping as we have little kids

The roll was ultra fresh, the contents divine and the price, very nice; a very competitive roll for the area. I'll be going back soon.
Fabulous new restaurant on Magill Road. Friendly accommodating staff. Extensive choices of food and drinks. I loved the sugar cane prawn vermicelli bowl ( many restaurants don’t stock sugar cane prawns, but Saigon cafe makes its own fresh. An added bonus) Thankyou, we’ll be back soon x
Lovely owners, tasty meals, great prices. Cute little cafe, they were really accommodating of my Mother and her walker. A new favourite for us for sure!
We had combination beef noodle soup for dinner over the weekend at Saigon Cafe, decent bowl size and loads of meat! It was good but found it a little bland, but overall would be keen to come back and try other Vietnamese dishes :)

Fairly decent Vietnamese noodle place.
The Bun Bo Hue spicy noodle soup and the Pork chop rice were delicious.
The combination beef noodle soup Pho Dac Biet was so so, the beef is too lean for my taste.
The prawn cold rolls were a bit bland but the tamarind chicken wings was quite unique.
Probably the best Bahn Mi I have ever had!
This place is very basic, but has its charm. If u don’t mind sticky tables, you will be rewarded with fast service and delicious entrees. The portions are big and you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage, as they are licensed.
The mains and the Pho are of an average taste. I have my favourites in the CBD, so this place didn’t meet my expectations.
Regardless, I will be back as overall this place serves fresh and tasty food.
Hands down one of the best place to have vietnamese food from. Or if I say the best! You must absolutely try out there phò if possible! It's so warm and delicious, loved every single bite of it.
They also have cold rolls that are served during lunch hours from 11-2 if I'm not wrong. It's a great deal plus it's super cheap for it.
Really nice and sweet lady at the counter so service was great! There are other things on the menu that you could try as well. Haven't tried it yet but will definitely do so soon.
Tried the tamarind wings, pork bao and Pad Thai. Padthai is perfectly flavoured, bao so many meat for only 4 dollars and the Tamarind wings is just out of this world!!! Recommended will come back surely.
I love Kym and Saigon Cafe! Kym is always so polite and friendly. It's my favourite place to enjoy a generous serve of phó. Although, because of its popularity especially between 6-8pm on a Friday night, takeaway may take some time. So, I suggest a phone order prior to picking it up may reduce your time waiting at the restaurant. Overall, the service is great, the food is delicious and it's the perfect size for my family; not too big and not too small. I highly recommend this place so I'd give it a 6 out of 5 if I could.
