Amazing food and coffee, i was relieved to find somewhere that clearly labeled their food for dietary requirements ���� anytime I’m back in SA I’ll be making time to visit �
We had breakfast here. They offer a variety of healthy breakfast. I had Fritata with mixed salad and quinoa, and my partner had smoke salmon baguette. Both food were nice, we love it. After we had desert. I had raspberry cheesecake and my partner had a biscuit. To be honest the desert wasn't that good. But the coffee and ice chocolate were nice.
Service is very good. The two young girl handle the job very well, attentive, eye contact and fast worker. We'd love to comeback again.
Good little healthy lunch stop, nice set up, and friendly staff! Good alternative to the bigger chains around in the area for sure, support the little guy!
Have always liked the Essence, also under new management - great coffee (they use Bonsoy, my favourite soy milk) and really appreciate a few vegan options, really friendly staff and I like the makeover - thumbs up :)
The Essence has always been great, but has been lifted now by new owners. The food is great and their baguettes are the best i have ever had! Always fresh and tasty and great coffee and other drinks! Service is also amazing!
The coffee at this place has taken the mantle of Sterling's best and it's not even close! Took me a few months of taste testing all the other coffee offerings around town before I stumbled across The Essence, and while I'm not saying the coffee elsewhere is bad it just doesn't stand a chance. The staff are amazing, the kind of people who are so friendly that after a few visits you start to feel guilty about using your loyalty card, like you're ripping them off when you go in to get your free coffee :)
This review is purely based on the cappuccino, the tofu scramble and maybe Adelaide's greatest hospitality worker, so if you're interest in any of those The Essence won't disappoint.
Loved the 'Basic Breakfast'. Anything but basic, great scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and homemade baked beans. Everything was really flavoursome.
YUM!. This is one of the hidden little gems in Stirling which has a great local following. The burritos which are new to the menu are super yummy and highly recommended. You won't be disappointed! x
Great cafe, good fresh healthy food & friendly service. I often pop in to grab a take away baguette, always freshly made, which means a little wait at times, but it's worth it. Not my fav coffee, but think that's just personal taste.
"Relaxing, Comfortable, Amiable, with good food options" Nestled at the rear of the shops off Mt Barker Rd you will find, The Essence, a spacious, light, bright, modern, cafe, with inside and outside dining. The emphasis hear is fresh, local produce, organic and prepared on site. The range of food is very extensive and appetizing. Breakfast, daily baked muffins, breads, cakes, salads, with a large range of baguette' filling. Mostly gluten free, or in wraps. We chose, The Basic Breakfast, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade baked beans, hey the beans were great, also the breakfast baguette, with coffee's. We enjoyed a very appetizing breakfast, the servings were extremely generous. the coffee's took us by surprise, excellent. This cafe is well worth your visit.
