I love going to Hojiak for some good quality Malaysian dishes, which have been fairly consistent throughout all the dishes I’ve tried and across all their outlets. Their char Kuay Teow with duck egg and the mee goreng are my favourites. They do really good Belacan kangkung and Assam fish as well! Decent portion size, although on the pricier side.
The mi goreng was amazing, I was expecting it to be average but it blew us away, definitely a must try. Fried rice was delicious! Quick service
Ordered mie goreng, a veggie dish and milk tea for takeaway. Price was a bit dear but the food and drink were delicious. One issue: the waiting time was extremely long (45 minutes).
One of my go to restaurants when I’m eating out these days. The dishes here are packed full of flavour and definitely prefer this Ho Jiak compared to the city one! My favourite dishes are the dry egg noodle with roast duck/chicken and indomie goreng. The meat is super tender and j00c3y and the noodles are full of flavour. Very small dining area but you can always dine in general area of the plaza or take away.
I love the Ho Jiak Restaurant in town so I came here to try the Strathfield version. It’s definitely more of a street food/food court style as they serve everything on trays or plastic bowls. The food is still delicious however a bit pricey for what you get.
Food is amazing! One of the best Malaysia food I ever tasted in Sydney. Their side chilli sauce and ginger sauce for hainanese chicken is very tasty.
Tried some of the dishes from Ho Jiak takeaway and was seriously impressed at how bold, punchy and well-balanced the flavours were. I particularly liked the barramundi dish which is quite spicy as well as the chicken wings.

My go to spot for awesome seafood laksa. Without going into too much detail as the photo serves the purpose, It comes with an enjoyable amount of seafood where you get your money’s worth of $19 and mixed noodle if you dig that plus the soup is amazing packed with a bit of a chilli kick, well balanced meal.
Can’t recommend enough, simple, utterly amazing flavour and presentation on point every time I visit.

Shop is located in Strathfield Plaza. Limited seating, so recommend takeaway if you live near by. The menu focuses on noodles, skewers, curry & rice and target market seems like singles/couples.
I tried the hor fun rice noodles & vegetarian fried noodles. The dishes are on the spicier side, so tell them if you want less spice. Both dishes were seasoned well and very big portions. Service was quick and there's a water & condiments station as well.
Beautiful service, food was amazing and great portion sizes. Can not wait to go back again and again. Would highly recommended this place to anyone!
