I really enjoy coming to this place for all-you-can-eat rice paper rolls and have come a few times even though North Strathfield is a bit out of the way for me.
Those expecting a Vietnamese-style rice paper roll (the more commonly known ones) will be a bit surprised because these are wollamsam - Korean-style rice paper rolls with more variety of fillings and with different flavours too (including pineapple which I'd never seen in rice paper rolls before).
It's only $22 per person for dinner ($20 for lunch, although I've only ever gone dinner myself) and it's generally not too busy so you can eat in comfort. Although $22 can seem steep for rice paper rolls, they do have meat and avocado (my favourite part!) so it's not just purely vegetables that you're paying for. Part of the fun is also making the rolls yourself and learning how to do it along the way.
It's a great place to get a good feed, and a good healthy alternative to other dinner options!
I have been coming to Bakehouse for over 7 years now and can’t believe they still do this many fresh vegetables every single day! Now I live in a different state I crave every time I go back to Sydney I have to have the rice paper rolls! Service changes from season to season. I’m so happy that this places exists! Lunch time is the best time to go ;)
If your new years resolution was to eat clean, but also indulge yourself at an all-you-can-eat buffet, then this is the place for you ($22 pp). In concept, it seems straightforward enough -D.I.Y. spring rolls with vermicelli noodles, but the freshness of the ingredients coupled with the fish-based dipping sauce really does take it to a whole new level. In saying so, I don't really know how this is 'korean' as there wasn't any kimchi or what I would typically expect at a Korean restaurant. If anything, this would be a Viet-Korean fusion? Also, if you're expecting top quality meat, this is probably not the buffet for you as both the beef and pork were quite underwhelming. However, I do believe they offer kbbq service in addition to the buffet which includes a range of meat options. Overall, this was the perfect meal to combat the Australian heat and avoid any possibility of 'meat sweats' from traditional kbbq buffets. Also, a great option if you have a vegan/vegetarian friend.
I am obsessed with this place. Korean rice paper rolls are so delicious. I love the big range of fresh fruits and veges that you can serve yourself. Pick and choose your ingredients and roll yourself nutritious and tasty rolls. I love the unlimited serving of avocado and pineapples ((do add these to your rolls, they taste so much better). I preferred the beef over pork and the dipping fish sauce was perfect!!!!
Great atmosphere. Great vibes. Great idea. Different to all the other restaurant offerings. I was only able to eat 6 of those rolls before getting full. So might not worth the money but I will return. Also, bookings are essential if you don’t want to be disappointed.
Came here for all you can eat wollamsam during lunch time. Only $20 per person and you can feast from a wide range of vegetables for your rice paper rolls! Just grab a plate and fill up at the buffet zone and keep restocking until you're full.
Two types of meat available: beef and pork. Not the greatest as they are cold and quite dry but I found that this was more than enough, along with the egg strips that are provided. Note: water provided in the bottle at your table is the one used for wetting your rice paper! We were a tad confused because we're so used to using hot water for this. They also offer complimentary barley and mushroom tea to keep you nice and warm.
A healthy alternative at a chill out venue with very sweet and helpful staff. Will be back!
It is a nice, clean Korean restaurant hidden away in the far end of the North Strathfield strip. We had the Vietnamese roll buffet; the produce was nice and always topped up (except the avocado). Unfortunately there was only 2 types of meat offered.
Overall enjoyable without the usual guilt of having a buffet.

Having Korean wollamsam at home is a pain, was so glad that there was a restaurant that did all the work for you 😊 I love the buffet of ingredients. You get quite a variety for the price you way per person. I think they should take it to another level and perhaps introduce different meat choices as they only have shabu shabu beef. Otherwise everything is great 👍
Bakehouse Garden has a decent amount of variety for their $22 all you can eat Wollamsam. My friends and I decided to head over there after we were craving healthy food to help us after a week of very heavy Christmas/New Year feasting. All the ingredients were very fresh, and quite satisfying. Hoping that there might be a little bit more variety of ingredients if I go again next time, but still highly recommended!
Amazing!!
Went here with a gf as she knew I loved healthy food. Did not disappoint.
Massive buffet of salads and protein (chicken/beef/seafood/tofu). Basically all you can eat salad bar for $20!
Super fun activity as you get all your ingredients and make your rice paper rolls at your table. So tasty!
You can eat quite a few as they're light.
We ordered green tea ice cream for dessert. seriously good.
Can't wait to go back!
Fresh and light. Went with a group of friends for the wollamsam buffet. Everyone thought it was a fantastic meal. The ingredients were fresh and healthy. We were stuffed to the brim. Service was great. Because it was our first time here, and we needed help. Definitely coming back in the future.
I've Always wanted to try wollamsam and heard this place was the place to go to. Went on a Friday night restaurant was busy. It was a $20 per person buffet so you could get however many vegetables you wanted as well as sauce and meat. Loved the experience the rice paper rolls were delicious! Definately would come back again.
Bakehouse Garden is well known for their “All you can eat” $20 Wollamsam (Fresh Korean Spring rolls) but if you’re not feeling that, they do KBBQ too. There’s loads of fresh veggies, tofu, sprouts, herbs, noodles & even pineapple laid out for you to grab at your own desire. You’ve also got the choice of either a spicy or non spicy fish sauce based dipping sauce, they also only offer thin slices of cooked beef as the meat. It was really fun getting in there & making our own rolls, even though mine came out looking like a short & stubby you know what… :/ I guess there’s an art to rolling these things. Here’s a few pointers I picked up; Quickly wet the wrapper, no need to soak it. Don’t go crazy with the fillings like I did! just a little of each will do the trick. Spoon
Although Bakehouse Garden is famous for its Wollamsam, it also has an incredible a la carte menu. The bulgogi hot pot and glazed fried chicken were definitely stand outs tonight. A wonderful place to visit for an authentic Korean dining experience tucked away amongst a stretch of different cuisines available at the Bakehouse Quarter.
My boyfriend took me here as one of our first dates. I love this little restaurant - beautiful interiors, attentive staff, and great food. The sides are really tasty, and we often got refills when we had finished. Would definitely come back here.
This is what you call value for money and great food. There is no other korean joint that dishes out 12 plates of varying condiments. Their pancakes are amazing, best you'll find. It's not so doughy with decent seafood fillings. Service is pretty spot on too. Pay cash and you'll get a discount.
We went for the side dishes and they did not disappoint! You get 12 free side dishes with endless refills which is amazing. The service for these was very quick and efficient so you can start snacking while waiting for your main dishes to arrive.
We also ordered the Royal Stir-fried Rice Cake and the Bossam. The royal rice cakes were pretty good and savoury but the bossam was a bit disappointing as we found that it wasn't worth the price tag of $62.
This restaurant is one of the best korean cuisine. Menu are complete from fried, steam, pancake till hotpot.
Food taste is good, staff are friendly and professional. Side dishes are amazing a lot on your table. They provide take away containers for free is we can't finish it all. No booking in this restaurant, just walk in.
You could receive 5% discount if paying cash or surcharge for cards.
This is now my favorite Korean restaurant. The food is delicious and they provide so many side dishes. Service is good and quick. We left feeling so full and satisfied. Highly recommended.
I love this place. Service very efficient, great food and generous serving. I have been here so many times. My office 2 mins walk from the restaurant. Much easier to find parking in North Strathfield then Strathfield for dinner. Always busy. It can be a bit noisy during dinner. but love the bustling vibe.
Generous serving sizes and a variety of free banchan. Dishes were all quite tasty. The sweet and spicy chicken and beef ribs were a hit. Expect a long wait at meal times.
Everything we ordered was nice. The service was quick and friendly. We initially underestimated the food portion and the waiter helped us choose smaller sized food. Even the side dishes are very nice and appetising.
Recently stumbled across this restaurant and it is easily one of my favourite korean restaurant in Sydney. Every dish was delicious and I love the generous side dishes they hand out. Would 100% come back. You might have to wait a bit before getting a table but it is worth it.
