Review Bistro Des Artistes - Subiaco

Fantastic food! The truffle dishes are amazing! The truffle egg for entree was one of the best I've ever had! Great Fenech cuisine for a decent price. Wine selection is good also, and service is great. Will definitely return!

Great quality French food. Friendly service and a good wine list to match. I highly recommend the beef cheeks as it was a Loose Box classic they have bought over to the Bistro!

Alain Fabregues ... what more does one need to say? Returning to the restaurant from which he never left has given this French restaurant the vibe of a unique foodiphile's holy grail. Everything is superb and the staff are brilliant.

Nice meal and nice surroundings. Pretty quiet.on a Thursday but we were early. Loved the Vichy suissoise and then the fillet steak with mushroom sauce. Ordered a side of 'hand cut chips' but I think Mr. McCain sliced mine before freezing them. Nice chips but don't say they are hand cut if not. Overall a nice experience and will try again.

Went on a Thursday and it was surprisingly quiet, but we had very personal service and a wonderful chat with Chef Alain. The food was perfect, service from Nickolas was great and the price was well within expectations. A faultless experience that made our anniversary forever memorable. A venue every person should experience on a regular basis.

We had a table of 8 & it took a very long time to get us organized, we had to wait 45mins just for as glass of wine & some of the dishes were confused. Besides that the food was very nice, almost like mums home cooking with a little artistic flair here & there so anyway the food was ok but the actual restaurant lacked atmosphere, no soft music playing or anything & it was half empty for a Saturday night. I did like the plates that the food was served on, they were very nicely designed. My picture is the pudding & note the edible white dove on top, cute

The service was friendly and attentive, but the food is very disappointing. The fish dish smelled of fish, which fresh fish shouldn’t. The soup appetizer didn’t have much flavour. The steak was over cooked and served on its own on a large dish (no vegetables) with a green sauce that covered the full top of the steak and that was spread with a toothpick on the dish beneath it. We weren’t impressed.

Absolutely love this place. Probably the finest French food in Perth!
