Review Bishop And Clove - Subiaco

Fabulous food, prepared with love. Great service. Feels like visiting family all the clients are greeted with friendly hello's and farewells. Thoroughly recommend here for coffees, and lunches in the alfresco area or indoors.

Just a fantastic little cafe, a place we go to meet up with family in the area. The coffee is always good and they make real nice food and have a great range. Will continue going.

Very good coffee and great food topped off with friendly staff and terrific service. Highly recommend

We do love it but now it is closed thanks to Subiaco Council. They wont give the proprietors a long term lease. This place is used by the residents of 2 aged care facilities plus locals and workers from the area. The council need to take a good hard look at themselves. They have taken a lot of joy from the people who were regular customers. How dare you Subiaco councillors

Bishop & Clove or 'Mary's' as we often refer to this special little coffee shop in our street. A perfect spot to meet friends and family for breakfast, coffee & cake, lunch or take-away. It's a happy and friendly atmosphere with Mary and her staff welcoming everyone with smiles and home style cooking and not forgetting Clarence and his smiling face in the kitchen. Love you guys! 😘

Excellent little cafe - it's our favourite local coffee shop. Mary the owner is lovely and all the cakes are homemade.

Pricey and bland. Went there for my birthday brunch on a week day. Staff was friendly and food came out quick. But food was expensive and did not have much taste to it.

Best. Coffee. E V E R. Mary never lets me down! Always so cheerful and friendly. SUPER convenient drive through window so I don't even have to get out of the car on lazy days!!

In a light industrial area it's not unusual to find a sandwich and snacks outlet. Bishop and Clove offers more than that and on a Saturday morning it's full of families having breakfast. There's a drive-through Orion on the side of the cafe which is popular, and several tables inside and out. A lovely lady served me; it seems to be a family-owned business and has a friendly, calm atmosphere. I ordered scrambled eggs and toast which arrived quickly, was hot and filled me up.

Only had coffee but it was delicious and has drive through ability!
The cakes looked delicious
Out of the way location in the industrial part of Jolimont but worth going this way or going out of the way for a coffee from here

Yuck. This place is rank. Salmon tasted off, serving was absolutely tiny for the price paid. Undercooked toast. What a waste - never again!

Nice place for a quiet break.
A savoury snack choice would be nice, to go with the sweet stuff for us boys.
Cheers
Boyd

Average Cafe at most. The coffee is good and when I say good I put emphasis on the word good not fantastic or anything special. The food is also good not great but rather its quite expensive. The atmosphere is majority old people and retired folk that enjoy creating the cafe as a meet up spot for afternoon tea. In my opinion the staff are very friendly apart from the Chef which has been heard coughing in the kitchen as I ate my lunch (In some respects that was a put off for my food) overall I would give it a 6/10

Simple but pleasant. Nothing particularly flashy by any means. Service was prompt and friendly, food was nice if not slightly overpriced (but given the area, I can't say we were surprised), and coffee was excellent! Definitely reccommend if you fancy a quiet sit down with some light food and good coffee

OK...but need to rethink value for money. Getting tired of cafés thinking it's ok to overcharge, without even trying to offer something to justify it. Paid $10 for a Ham and Cheese panini at B & C this week, containing only single layer thin slices of processed ham and processed cheese on dry bread, no condiments, nothing! Same thing, stuffed full of ingredients is $8.50 at Floreat Forum. This is actually a very nice little cafe but with no competition closeby, whilst most things seem made on the premises themselves and of good quality, there is a certain arrogance and disrespect in this approach to pricing and lack of effort. Some things justify the cost but many items not. Will go again as necessary but learning what to avoid!

$9 for a turkey panini!!!. $9 for a turkey panini. Contains processed turkey. Apparently it was supposed to have cranberry and pumpkin on it. Maybe they showed the sandwich those ingredients. Really average, bland is probably being kind, not worth anything like $9. I'd guess it would have cost maybe a dollar to make.

Looks like Perth's rip off culture has permeated every corner of the city.

Give it a miss.

Love this place. The homemade food and cakes are healthy and tasty whilst the café itself is clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely sit outside next time!

If u call hard working ,meticulously clean staff that make all their own food from the ground up " lack luster " then so be it !! The best type of cafe that does well in an out of the way location . Their customers have made it a winner . Matt

Great. We had a walk around Herdsman Lake and went there for breakfast based on Urbanspoon reviews. Very pleased with the professional and friendly service. Coffee was good, breakfast was lovely. Prices are good value, about 20% less than a lot of other places. Location is an ordinary streetscape, but the seating area is very pleasant and very clean. Would go again if passing by. In one word "enjoyable".

Bishop and Clove is a gem. Good coffee and delicious lunch options, as well as a beautiful selection of cakes and treats that are hard to resist. Mary makes a point of knowing customers by name and, together with her family and staff runs a very efficient cafe. Drive through coffee window is also extremely useful! Winner.

BEST COFFEE IN PERTH! Good value, tasty and healthy breakfasts. Quick service, perfect for before work. Family run, extremely welcoming and friendly. We love Bishop & Clove.

Gourmet food at a great price. A gem!. Food that is to die for- perfectly made mini cakes, pastries, quiches etc. Outdoor setting is great during summer. They also do gourmet pastas and stir frys to take home. Very reasonably priced considering the quality. Very highly recommend it including if you are looking to outsource part of your next dinner party. The service can be a little slower at times but this fits with the relaxed, gentle feel that contrasts the perfection of the food.

Rubbish coffee. Food looks good. Small cakes and patisseries.

Packed at (work) lunch time!. Everything looks good and fresh here. I can't wait to try everything else they have here - pastas, pizzas, cakes, muffins sandwiches.

They took some time (13mins) to takeaway my Pea and Ham soup - It wasn't that long but it was difficult because there was no where to stand and wait. Everywhere else would be blocking food display/payment counter/coffee counter/cutlery corner. Just need to iron out minor issues only. Soup was very bacon-ey in flavour. Hearty with a small slice of bread to wipe up the good stuff.

Coming back with high hopes! Eyeing the gnocchi.

I like the look of this place & it has potential. Off the beaten track close to TAFE. Lots of small cakes & several light savoury options. Fiori coffee beans but milk texturing needs to improve. Looks like a family business. Will revisit in a few months when they've found their feet.

It’s perfectly suited to the area. It’s not striving to be something it’s not, by form or function. It’s just adding a little more vibrancy to an area otherwise devoid of such excitement. Cute.
